Restaurant Alt Ketzberg in Solingen

Immer wieder schön. Essen schmeckt sehr lecker, guter Service 👍🍀

Gestern dort gegessen. War sehr schön. Essen reichhaltig und lecker. Kleiner Abstrich wegen der zu kleinen Bänke. Leider muss man immer wieder bemerken wie schrecklich Nachbarn sind. Der Vorinhaber hat dort über 30 Jahre sein Lokal betrieben und die Autos durften immer an der Strasse stehen. Durch den Neid der Nachbarn wurde hier das Ordnungsamt hinzugerufen, das vollkommen unverständlicherweise die Missgunst dieser Menschen unterstützt und das Parken an der Strasse, welches fast gar nicht stört, da der Betrieb vollkommen ausserhalb der Schulzeit geöffnet ist, einschränkt. Es ist schrecklich wie der Neid in Deutschland die Menschen dazu treibt anderen Menschen das Leben zu erschweren, zumal dem Alter der Gebäude nach die Gaststätte mit 99,99% Wahrscheinlichkeit schon da war bevor die Nachbarn dahin gezogen sind. Es ist ja so unwahrscheinlich, wenn man relativ preiswert in der Nachbarschaft einer Gaststätte baut oder hinzieht, das dort Autos parken, um dort zu essen. Erinnert mich irgendwie wieder and die Menschen die im Einzugsgebiet des Düsseldorfer Flughafens billige Grundstücke gekauft habe und dann vor Gericht recht bekamen und dort ein Nachtflugverbot erwirkten, weil es unerwarteter Weise an einem Flughafen laut ist. Diese Art geparrt mit der Dreistigkeit, Geschäfte in der Nachbarschaft zu zerstören und sich hinterher zu beschweren das es keine mehr gibt zeigt einfach das Gesamtbild unserer faulen Republik. Gebt Allen, nur nicht von meinem und mir das Meiste.

Essen lecker. Normale Portionen zum satt werden. Service nett und aufmerksam. Ein sehr schöner Biergarten .

Veggie Burger wurde ohne Salat,Tomate und Gurke serviert . Schnitzel kommen wahrscheinlich aus der Friteuse.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit am 22.08.2025 bei Vicky und Robert gefeiert. Die beiden haben auf alle Wünsche geachtet und gut umgesetzt. Bevor der große Tag kam, haben wir uns mehrfach zusammen mit Vicky und Robert gesetzt zum organisieren und es hat alles geklappt. Wir hatten die Kegelbahn gebucht, für die Kinder war es sehr toll. Emma war den ganzen Tag für uns da und auch das war wunderbar. Vorallem bemerkte Vicky meine Sorgen und ist voll auf mich eingegangen als Mensch und hat mir Mut gemacht an unserem großen Tag. Es wurde sogar ein Kaffee- und Kuchenbuffet serviert, obwohl das Restaurant erst um 17 Uhr eröffnet in der Woche. Danke dafür. Ihr habt uns die schönste Hochzeit ermöglicht, wie man sie sich nur wünschen kann. Wir waren Stammkunden und werden es auch bleiben. Ihr seid tolle Menschen und Freunde. ♡♡♡

Ort ist schön, aber laut. Essen und Trinken ist zu teuer. Wobei das Essen nicht gerade gehobene Küche ist. Das Personal müht sich. Familiär!

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant. Wir waren mit insgesamt 6 Personen Sonntags am späten Nachmittag dort. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich u zuvorkommend. Das Essen war sehr lecker u reichlich. Insgesamt war es ein gelungener Besuch der gerne wiederholt wird.

Wir waren an 2. Weihnachtstag dort. Das Essen war sehr lecker und völlig ausreichend, von den Portionen her. Was mir besonderes aufgefallen ist, war die Bedienung, alle waren sehr bemüht, sehr freundlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, Sinnvoll ist es auf jeden Fall dort einen Tisch zu bestellen. I made the mistake of ordering the white sausages at Bavarian Week. If you don't have a local butcher who makes them, which isn't a bad thing, then please don't buy the cheapest supermarket stuff with the thick skin. The Zimmermann canned ones are a whole class better and significantly tastier, but of course, they're also more expensive to buy. The warmed-up pretzel that came with it was just plain dry. I really don't need to go to a restaurant for that. Unfortunately, I didn't say anything right away because the service was just really nice. Given the rather nice weather that day, I would have liked to have been able to set up outside instead of just inside. So, one star deducted for the ambiance. Next time, I'll say something right away, and please don't offer something like that again. Deal?

Little food for a lot of money...we were not satisfied.

We were there during Bavarian Week and ate typical Bavarian dishes, which were very tasty and had generous portions. The atmosphere in the beer garden was very pleasant, giving you a bit of a holiday feeling. A family atmosphere, and you feel welcome.

Great service, good food, we'll be back

We visited this restaurant for the second time yesterday. After our regular schnitzel restaurant closed in the spring, we were looking for an alternative. Since we're from the Ohligs/Aufderhöhe/Merscheid area, Alt Ketzberg was naturally a bit further away for us. We enjoyed the food on both visits, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was very cozy. We've always sat on the lovingly designed terrace, which is a very comfortable place to be. We've finally found a new place to go when we're craving a delicious schnitzel! We'd even happily drive all the way to Gräfrath for this!

Great hosts, great food, always happy to come back

I ate a super-delicious farmer's schnitzel with fried onions, fried eggs, and fried potatoes with bacon, along with a delicious salad. It tasted AMAZING. The price of €20.90 was perfectly reasonable for such a delicious dish. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo. But it wasn't my last visit, so I'll make up for it.

We sat outside on the terrace. Four people with a dog were served very well, and the dog was the first to get his water. The service and food were excellent; everyone was very satisfied. This won't be the last time we visit Alt Kerzberg.

Very good restaurant, delicious food

Four people and a dog ate here today. We passed by on a hike and liked the beer garden. We quickly decided to have something to eat here. We got a table, a menu, and were immediately asked if we wanted a drink. There was a bowl of water for the dog, which was very nice. The drinks came quickly. The food arrived after 20 minutes. There's still room for improvement. The salads were large and tasty. The grilled meats could have been a bit bigger. My colleague's beef wasn't tender either, but mine was okay. We had to wait a little longer for the second round of drinks, even though it wasn't as busy. As I said, there's definitely room for improvement. We would come back if it's improved.

Very cozy furnishings, friendly service when entering...everything very clean and everything fits perfectly into the old half-timbered house

I was there today for the third time on Schnitzel Day. The food is super delicious, the service friendly and open to small talk. You always get full, and the beer garden is also very nice. All in all, a very nice evening.

We were at Alt Ketzberg last weekend. The goat cheese salad was so big (not very visible in the photo) that we all had to take half home. The staff was super attentive and friendly. The management of the new “Alt Ketzberg” is already known to us from the times of the “Landhaus Kovelenberg” and the “Zunftstuben” and has often attracted us with their special and familiar hospitality. Our last visits to “Alt Ketzberg” also confirmed our previous experiences. Robert and Viki and their team welcomed us like old friends and also entertained us. It is clear that they enjoy their job. We were served very friendly, we were asked several times whether everything was OK and special requests were gladly taken into account. The restaurant has been renovated and exudes a cozy and very inviting atmosphere. The seating is very comfortable and you don't want to leave the restaurant again. The range of dishes on the menu is somewhat reduced compared to the previous locations, but it is a good mix of Croatian and German cuisine that does justice to us. The quality is of the best quality and the taste is amazing, the portions are very generous and the price-performance ratio is very good. The drinks menu is more than sufficient and also of high quality. The summary for us, a restaurant that we would be happy to recommend and would love to visit. We'll be back. A thank you to the “Alt Ketzberg” team. No! Of the six meals, three were just okay. The grilled plate was very small and the meat inedible, the schnitzel was extremely thin and greasy, and the fried potatoes were also very greasy. We're at a funeral here today. Unfortunately I can't say anything particularly positive. The cake was good if you had the opportunity to get a small piece. “We’re out of cake” 🙈 Service was overwhelmed and bad, couldn't keep up. You had to ask for everything...coffee for example...cutlery...not well prepared. Too bad. Maybe it's different if you come to eat alone instead of with a closed group.

There is no such thing as not tasting good. The chef can't help it if he doesn't like it. I didn't like the cordon bleu. This cheese just didn't belong there for me. The cheese tasted very strong. The service was friendly, but sometimes disoriented.

All in all quite good, but the toilets leave a lot to be desired. After reporting that the paper was missing, nothing happened for 3 hours. So the next one didn't have any fun. Food is ok, it lacked a little oomph in the seasoning. Salad was tasty though. Service ok, sometimes a bit confusing and drinks took longer. However, the store was full, so there was a lot to do. Great service, great ambience. (Compared to previous owner) The food isn't quite as exciting. Pork schnitzel is only available one day a week and otherwise it is made from chicken. (TK-ware) The portions are relatively small, more side dishes could definitely be served, and the salad could also be larger. Unfortunately you won't get full. There is also not a single vegetable side dish, which is a real shame. The selection of starters is also very thin. What was very good last time was the steak (which didn't fill me up, despite the starter)

The parking situation is a bit unfortunate. We then stood on the street. When we entered the restaurant, we actually wanted to turn back straight away. In my opinion, the interior is very old and not really inviting. The service is very friendly, but seems a bit uncoordinated to me. The drinks took quite a long time and if the wrong delivery was made, it took several minutes to get a new drink. The menu is very simple and I would attribute it to a better snack bar. We had a really hard time finding anything. The prices are within reason. The salad beforehand was quite tasty, even if it made my teeth crunch a bit. I'm guessing sand residue here. My husband's salad was okay. The main courses were really tasty. The portions are generous. However, it almost hit me when I got to the last third of my chicken schnitzel. I suddenly felt a very firm, crunchy bite in my mouth and thought it might be some of the garnish. Then I saw it on the schnitzel: the entire last piece was raw. I immediately felt sick and of course I left the rest and the side dish. When we were clearing up we told the lady. She wanted to say something in the kitchen. However, nothing followed after that. I would have expected the dish to be taken off the bill or at least half charged. A free drink or dessert would have been okay too. But nothing at all? Especially since raw chicken is really no triviality. We would definitely not come back for this reason.

I was here for the first time today with some colleagues. I also recognized a former employee from Landhaus Kovelenberg and knew I was in the right place. I love this typically “bourgeois, cozy” atmosphere that prevails in the restaurant, plus the warm hospitality, the very good quality of the food, the very well-kept rooms.. Wonderful! Pils and Kölsch on tap, good selection of drinks anyway. Price/performance ratio TOP. We will be back!

"Oh, unfortunately the kitchen is already closed." Do you know that? I felt the same way in 'Alt Ketzberg'. But then: waitress Pati saw my sad face: "Oh no, I can't watch that, I'll go to the boss." Afterwards, a meal was conjured up using the resources that were still available, which whetted my appetite even more. Why do I know the waitress's name? I came as a stranger and leave as a regular. At the table next door, people were rolling dice and laughing in a way I last noticed in my childhood. A place to feel good, to arrive, to stay. Don't go there if you want to be in a bad mood!

We came across this restaurant while visiting Solingen. Reserve a table in advance by phone. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and even one more person than reserved was no problem. The staff and the boss were very friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the food and the time between ordering and serving was pleasant. Price / offer: Very good. We can only recommend it!

We were in Alt Ketzberg for the first time today and were really excited! What immediately strikes you is the absolutely successful cosiness and hospitality of the two young owners! The food is good, home-style, there is a clear menu and it really tasted very good! We will be back definitely!

We have often been guests at Alt Ketzberg. A super nice team, Vicki, Robert, Emma extremely friendly hosts. Always courteous, open-minded and helpful. The cuisine and the quality of the food is very appealing. Bergisches Landbier on tap, a rarely seen barley drink, very pleasant. We would love to come back and let the team pamper us.

The selection on the menu is certainly a matter of taste but the service overall took quite a long time (food, drinks - take or serve) and unfortunately my food was cold. I wasn't necessarily satisfied all around 🤷🏼‍♀️

Wir hatten gestern eine Geburtstagsfeier im kleinen Familienkreis (zwölf Personen) und waren sehr begeistert vom Ambiente, Service und Essen. Wir haben erst gekegelt. Dabei hatten wir viel Spaß und anschließend konnten wir an einem extra Tisch im Kegelraum das leckere Essen genießen. Es gab sogar die Möglichkeit, unsere eigene Musik zu spielen. Es war ein sehr schöner gelungener Abend Vielen Dank noch mal an das nette Team. Es ist nur zu empfehlen

Das Lokal ist mir aus früheren Zeiten bekannt, aber es ist nun wirklich schön renoviert, es herrscht hier das warme und gemütliche Atmosphäre in der Begleitung der angenehmen Musik. Das Personal und die Betreiber sind nett und gastfreundlich. Neben den ganzen Bequemlichkeiten haben wir auch lecker gegessen, auch zur fairen Preisen. Es ist wirklich empfehlungswert, wir sind sehr zufrieden geblieben.
