A bunch of ill-educated people run the restaurant and deliver the worst food to the customers These made us embarrassed in front of our guests yesterday.

There is no reason to treat the customer nervously and dominate him. Politeness and respect are the first words in customer orientation, which unfortunately does not exist in this restaurant and they are treated with absolute rudeness. My daughter was scared of the waitress. You will not notice the taste of the food in this restaurant. They are stealing in the business and serving the worst food. For sure, going to this restaurant will not create a good memory for you.

The lamb was fantastic. Strong spicy notes but not too dominant. A bit drafty at the entrance. I'll be back!

Delicious authentic Persian food!

An absolute delight! We had a wonderful evening in this Persian restaurant. The food was excellent - the flavors, spices and lovingly prepared dishes were to die for! We would particularly like to highlight the great service from Tina and Bita. The two of them were incredibly nice, attentive and made our evening even better with their friendly and warm manner. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back! Thank you for the warm hospitality.🌹

The food was deliscious. We got one Kubide and one Chelo Barg. The only thing to improve is the quantity of Kabab Barg that was a bit low. Also the bread and cheese and vegetable served before the food was deliscious but again for two people, two small pieces of cheese are not enough

If you're looking for a taste of authentic Iranian cuisine with amazing hospitality, Alborz is the place to go!

Fantastic restaurant that offers Persian specialties in all their variety, as we know them from Iran. Meat skewers with minced beef, chicken or lamb skewers or even chicken marinated in pomegranate sauce with walnuts (Fesenjan) are absolutely delicious taste experiences. Chelo Kabab, the meat skewer, is the national dish of Iran. Chelo is the unique steamed rice. There are also fresh herbs and saffron rice, which is unique to Persian cuisine and, in contrast to East Asian cuisine, is prepared more al dente and much more tasty. The restaurant is also characterized by its beautiful and cozy atmosphere and, above all, by the very friendly service. Certainly one of the best restaurants with Persian cuisine that I have visited in Germany so far!

The quality of the food and the service from the staff were excellent. In this restaurant I was able to experience the original taste of Iranian cuisine again. We were regular guests and were horrified by our last visit. Incredibly long waiting times, even though the restaurant was hardly busy. Guests who arrived after us were given priority. When we complained, we finally received our food, but raw. After complaining again, we received burnt meat, which was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The waitress claimed this was normal. Such poor service and food quality is unacceptable. It seems like it's all about making money without caring about customers. No improvement, but instead completely conceded. Around €60 was easy. That was definitely our last visit!

The first Iranian restaurant I have tried in Germany, the food tasted good, we ordered Kebab Koobideh, and Kebab Soltani, which was delicious. The fresh bread that they made themselves was very delicious with herbs. The outside chairs was great but I didn’t like the interior design and it’s atmosphere. It’s a bit pricey.

There were seven of us, everyone enjoyed the food very much, service was courteous, friend, price-performance ratio was wonderful, everything went well. I would have liked to give 5 stars for the ambience, but the toilet door, which is not lockable, cost me a small number of stars. I would still like to go there and recommend it, thank you very much.

The cozy restaurant is located right next to the cathedral. We would have to park on the street with a parking permit. 4€/hour. The entrance has a small staircase. There are baby chairs for younger guests and various areas with tables and chairs. We didn't make a reservation but were allowed to choose the table freely. The food was prepared quickly, tasted good and the prices were ok too. The best thing from our point of view was the tandoori bread, which is freshly baked to the highest quality. The toilets are clean and the background music is appropriate. *The highlight of the whole thing was the staff. They were all young, super friendly women who lovingly looked after the guests and were super polite. They work quickly but calmly! All in a very pleasant visit. We will definitely do it again and recommend others to do so too! P.S. I would like to have such staff too ;)

The best Persian restaurant in Cologne. Persian cuisine is incredibly delicious and must be tried by everyone!

Koubide was delicious but Fesenjoon (both vegetarian and with chicken) were nor tasty. At least they were not tasting original. Serving Fesenjoon was also very weird because they served the stew in a very large bowl which contains unreasonably large portion for one person (one plate of rice). Kashje Bademjoon was also tasty but the portion was too small. I guess it was not more than 5 spoons. More than half of the plate was salad. Serving salad with kashke bademjoon felt a little weird because I'm used to having that with vegetables (Sabzi). Koubide plus Doogh costed 21€ (16.5 + 3.5=20 and I don't why it costed 21€). We went there on a Friday which was a public holiday and it was too crowded. Do, on public holidays and weekends reserve your table as early as possible..

I highly recommend trying the kebab Chenje and Kashke Bademjan!

Unfortunately, our last visit was very disappointing. Yesterday we were with a group of seven people and when we asked a simple question about the parking situation, one of your employees spoke to us very unfriendly and in an inappropriate tone. This tone bothered the entire group so much that we ultimately decided to leave the restaurant. Especially in the catering industry, good and respectful treatment of guests is important. We expected more friendliness and professionalism and hope that this was just an isolated case.

I recently stayed at Alborz and it was a great experience! The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant, perfect for a relaxed dinner. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the evening even better. The food was simply outstanding! Every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The [dish] I ordered in particular was an absolute highlight – perfectly prepared and lovingly presented. Have been visiting the restaurant for over 5 years. VAT has not yet risen to 19%, prices here have risen significantly. All is well if it doesn't rise again in January 2024! But at the same time in “Ghormesabzi” only offering two small pieces of meat with rice as a main course for around 17-18 euros, I have no understanding of that. It's a shame as a regular you'll just be disappointed. By the way, the menus in Google are from older years. Should be updated. As a regular guest, I'll give it another chance at some point! because this time everything went wrong!

Best Iranian restaurant in Germany. Very friendly staff, very delicious dishes especially Kebab Koubideh & Kebab Soltani, which were completely juicy and well cooked simultaneously. Also side dishes were tasty, like Oliven with walnuts and pomegranate paste and Yogurt with Shallot. Absolutely recommended.

The experience of eating persian food here in general is good, but there are some concerns. we waited so long for it to be served, which could be also because there was a big Iranian concert in the city. The quality of food in general was good, specially the kebab was delicious but the rice was not good quality basmati rice and it didn’t taste and smell like a persian rice.

The rest of the food was good, but the pounded kebab didn't taste like meat at all. I don't know why they are stingy in using pounded meat in Iranian style. You can go to the lowest quality Turkish restaurants, the meat you eat tastes like meat, but I don't know what they use instead of meat.

We are a family of 4 who traveled all over Germany and tried all kinds of food and we love Iranian food. When we went to Alborz restaurant, we were really shocked by the environment and the food. It was really awful, the seats were dirty, the environment was so noisy. The food that we had ordered Chanje Soltani smelled terrible, battered, leaves and chicken were also awful. Worst of all, the soup tasted very bad. Hot drink with a glass of ice and the ice melts after half an hour when the food comes. We do not recommend this restaurant at all.

But this last series, when I went, one of the staff brings food to the tables! We had ordered all kinds of kebabs and unfortunately none of them were of good quality. Kobideh was made of very poor quality meat and full of cartilage, the chicken was extremely hard and dry, the leaf kebab was too thin, short, hard and dry, the meat of the chicken was also strangely hard, it had to be chewed like gum. . It was clear that it was not in the material at all. All the kebabs, apart from being hard and of poor quality, had no taste, for example, the chicken breast meat was only yellow and hard, it didn't taste like lemon juice, nor salt, nor any other taste, the same goes for chickpeas and leaves. We ordered pounded kebab and chicken. It was pounded and could only be cut with a knife, it was so hard. Of course, we ate the food, but I told the staff and they decided to tell the kitchen and management about the problem.
