Restaurant Akropolis in Bad Sassendorf

The starter, filled dumplings, were cold. The tzatziki was more like a yogurt dip. The food was okay but nothing special.

Restaurant overall okay, but nothing more. When we entered, we were blinded by the lighting conditions, which were more like an operating room. The waiter was friendly and showed us to a table. After choosing the food, the drinks and salad arrived quickly, although they were rather disappointing. The food (chicken breast fillet with Bearnaise and chicken pan in Metaxa) was really tasty in terms of taste, although in our opinion the chicken could have been cooked a little more. The quantity, atypically Greek, wasn't that large, so we were still slightly hungry. The bill for one drink and one dish was just under 50 euros per person. It is exciting to mention that ketchup and mayonnaise were charged additionally. Overall it was okay, but nothing more.

Very tasty food...very good menu with an exceptional selection

Well attended restaurant. Nevertheless, after calling by phone, we immediately received a table for 2 people. Food came quickly and was very tasty. Attentive and friendly staff. We really liked it. Keep it up. We can only recommend it.

The food was way too spicy. I had a sore tongue for 24 hours and although I complained about it, nothing came of it. I only ate a quarter of the minced meat at most, but that probably didn't matter. Despite repeated announcements. Only when I paid and once again clearly expressed my annoyance was I offered a replacement. I already had my jacket on... what was the mistake... had to pay for everything... staff extremely stressed and often rude. Especially the MA who collects money. My friend's meal was delicious. You can tell most of the guests aren't coming back anyway..why bother!!

I've been to this restaurant a few times, but in the evening, for dinner with my husband. Was always satisfied. Now I was there for lunch with a small group. I have to say that I was very disappointed. We had a small dog with us, according to the website dogs are welcome and we had a nice place outside. I asked for an old container to give the dog water. Unfortunately, that wasn't available locally. Then we organized one ourselves. Unfortunately, when we asked for water, we were very rudely asked to get water from the toilet. I have to say that the food at lunchtime was quite clear, even if it was enough for me. But you pay the same price at lunchtime as in the evening. All in all, I'm a little disappointed 😞. I don't think I'll be eating there again anytime soon. Too bad

We got the 62 and 63. One gyros with tzatziki including salad/fries and one gyros with Metaxa sauce also salad/fries. - Salad was without dressing - Fries unsalted, a bit tasteless - Gyros themselves were "ok", but the tzatziki and Metaxa sauce tasted satisfactory to us Unfortunately there is no comparison to Mykonos. The price was more expensive. We tried here because it was Mykonos' rest day. Overall we were pretty disappointed with the food. The Google reviews are probably due to the restaurant and the local food. We wouldn't pick up here again.

It's a solid Greek restaurant but nothing more. The gyros is not thin and tender as you are used to, but small and thicker. The liver, on the other hand, is tender and tastes very good.

The ambience and service are very good. I ordered a “Z…..er” schnitzel here. For a solid €15 I got a 3-4mm thin schnitzel that was floating in a soup. Unfortunately it wasn't a real sauce. The schnitzel was completely soggy and inedible. It fell apart in the mouth. My family's food looked similar, but yours tasted slightly better. Maybe a blip and not a norm.

It couldn't be friendlier. We are always impressed by the fabulous service. Everything is made possible. You just feel comfortable. Apart from that, the food is delicious and the terrace is very inviting when the weather is nice. There is nothing to complain about. This restaurant really has deserves only good reviews.

We spontaneously went to the Acropolis during a short vacation. Very nice welcome with accompaniment to the table. Very attentive service. And definitely a warm greeting to the team in the kitchen, the food we ordered was very good. We felt very comfortable and would like to come back.

Große Karte mit typischen griechischen Gerichten. Wir haben schon mehrfach im Akropolis gegessen. Das Essen ist "nicht der Knaller", aber durchaus schmackhaft und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt ebenfalls. Ist wohl ein Familienbetrieb. Der Service ist freundlich aber es ist noch "Luft nach oben". Alles in allem "solide".

We had reserved a table as a precaution. Was better too. We got the menu straight away and drinks came quickly. The salad consisted of iceberg and coleslaw with a yogurt dressing. That's definitely better. I had gyros gratinated with cheese and Metaxa sauce, my husband had beef liver with fried onions. Both were very tasty.

Gyros and steak are very tasty. The tzatziki was very tasty, but could have been a little more. The side salad would be a bit bland, so I can only recommend ordering only coleslaw. He was very good. My companion had fish that was both well seasoned and well prepared. A clear recommendation for the Akropolis restaurant.

The food is delicious, but the price is too high. When I asked for a small portion to go with my gyro's mini cup of tzatziki because it wasn't enough, they ended up charging me €5.50. It was rude not to point this out to the customer.

We had gyros with fries + tzatziki, as well as an Athens plate. There was a small salad with both dishes. It was very tasty.

We were there for dinner last night. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us at all. The drinks were okay. The salad consisted of 80% iceberg lettuce, a tiny bit of coleslaw, half a slice of cucumber, a pepperoni and water-yoghurt dressing. My husband had the gyros with broccoli, cream stiff and cheese gratinated. This was fine, but nothing more. The side dish, the rice, had no taste and was probably just colored red. My bifteki with feta just tasted peppery and you had to look for the feta. The fries were tasty, but I've never had such chunky tzatziki before. (The cucumber in it was in chunky pieces and not grated). We cannot recommend the restaurant.

Das Essen ist spitzenmäßig zu angemessenen Preisen. Es gibt auch was für Vegetarier auf der Karte. Man kann div. warme Vorspeisen auch als Hauptgericht bekommen. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Eine Tischreservierung ist empfehlenswert. Diese ist auch Online möglich.

Super große Speisekarte mit Gerichten für jeden Geschmack vom Lammfilets,überbackenen Muschel über Gyros in Weißwein gegart bis zur reichhaltigen Fischkarte !! Das Essen ist richtig lecker! Der Service ist auch sehr freundlich und die Preise OK. Eines der besten Griechischen Restaurants, Totale Empfehlung!

Das Essen ist sehr gut ich hatte überbackenes Gyros und meine Frau Bifteki jeweils mit Pommes. Geschmacklich hatten wir nichts auszusetzen. Nicht unbedingt typisch Griechisch als Beilage gibt es nur Pommes da ist noch Platz nach oben. Der Service ist wie soll ich sagen? "bestimmend freundlichen" aber immer zur Stelle wenn man was braucht. Nach dem Essen wurde uns die Rechnung direkt auch den Tisch gelegt, kam schon einem Rauswurf gleich und am Nachbartisch lief es genau so. Dafür ziehe ich zwei Punkte ab so etwas brauch man sich als zahlende Gast nicht bieten lassen.

Sehr schönes griechisches Lokal am Rande der Bad Sassendorfer Innenstadt. Sehr freundliches Personal, zuvorkommend und höflich und sehr schnell in der Bedienung . Die Preise meiner Meinung nach völlig angemessen . Das Essen war aussergewöhnlich gut und reichhaltig, lediglich das extra bestellte Tzatziki mit Brot war sehr knapp bemessen mit der Größe eines Esslöffels, es sah sehr bescheiden aus. Hier bin ich grössere Portionen gerade beim Tzatziki gewohnt. Aber dennoch werde ich dieses Lokal wieder aufsuchen und kann es aus meiner Sicht empfehlen .

Vom Essen bin ich leider sehr enttäuscht. Die Metaxasauce war leider weit entfernt von einer richtigen Metaxasauce. Es war eher eine Paprikasauce, hatte aber nichts mit Metaxa zu tun. Das Fleisch war ebenfalls kein Filet-Fleisch. Die Portionsgröße war für mich in Ordnung. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals war absolut in Ordnung.

Schönes Restaurant aber das Essen lieblos auf den Teller angerichtet der Salat beim Essen war noch nicht mal eine Kinder Portion.

Leider war das essen lieblos angerichtet. Außerdem war der Salat kein Genuss, die Beilagen waren sehr überzogen und das Brot, welches es dabei gab war sehr trocken. Außerdem ist der Laden sehr teuer, für das, was man bekommt. Aber am enttäuschten waren wir vom Fleisch. Es war total zäh und voller Sehnen. Wir werden nicht wieder kommen, da wir sehr enttäuscht waren.

Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Obwohl die Bewertungen teilweise nicht so gut waren, haben wir uns entschlossen im Akropolis einzukehren und sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Freundlicher und zügiger Service und ein sehr leckeres Essen. Das Bifteki war super saftig und mit reichlich leckerem Feta gefüllt. Die Rinderleber war zart und sehr schmackhaft. Lediglich der kleine (frische) Salat war etwas dürftig, aber insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gut und wir werden bei Gelegenheit wieder dort essen.

Wir waren von keinem Gericht enttäuscht. Besonders die Varianten der Lammfilets sind super. Wir haben bislang nirgendwo solch zarte Lammfilets gegessen, auch dezent und gut gewürzt. Bei der Lammkeule fanden wir etwas lästig, dass man so viel daran herumschnippeln musste. Vielleicht wäre eine Lösung, den Knochen in der Küche bereits auszulösen. Grundsätzlich ist das Lokal sehr zu empfehlen. Wir entwickeln uns zu Stammkunden. Obwohl das Restaurant stets voll war, haben wir nie lange warten müssen, bis unsere Speisen kamen.

Montags haben die meisten Restaurants in Bad Sassendorf geschlossen. So bin ich als Vegetarierin beim Griechen gelandet. Alternativen zu Fleischgerichten leider Fehlanzeige So habe 3 Vorspeisen bestellt und keine hat mich überzeugt! Wieso ertränkt man z. B. einen Meeresfrüchtesalat in einem Balsamicodressing? Service o.k. und Ouzo aufs Haus
