PASTA UND Pizzahaus Cappuccino in Bad Sassendorf

On Sunday, the pizza special was way too long in the oven; the cheese was so crumbly you couldn't even stretch it! Today, the one at the next table looked exactly the same! Today's spaghetti carbonara had almost no flavor. Unfortunately, I could see the cook from my seat, and he was just as unmotivated as on Sunday. Maybe he should do something else for a living. The food has a lot of room for improvement! The service was only so-so. There are so many people running around who I don't think have ever worked in the service industry before! It's a good thing there's not enough competition, otherwise they would have gone bankrupt by now!

We arrived at the restaurant yesterday at 5:30 pm sharp. When it opened, so many guests streamed in that we thought we wouldn't get a table, since we hadn't made a reservation. But we managed, and the service was very friendly. Because we already knew what we wanted, we were served relatively quickly. Meanwhile, more and more guests arrived, and a line of at least 20 people formed. Our food was delicious, and the fresh Veltins beer complemented it perfectly. For just under €50, we were very full and very satisfied. The young waitress certainly earned a good tip for graduating from high school. I've never seen so many people in a restaurant on a Sunday evening. Bad Sassendorf is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant, located right next to the spa park, completely won us over with its delicious food. Our meal was absolutely superb. The ingredients are top-notch, beautifully presented, and the portions are generous. We received prompt and friendly service, and the food arrived quickly, even though Cappuccino was packed! Because of the open kitchen, your clothes will smell strongly of food after eating at Cappuccino and will need to be washed. At least, that was the case for us that evening. That's just one minor point of criticism! Otherwise, thank you very much, and we'll definitely be back! 👍🏼

The ambiance is pleasant, however, the large room is quite noisy. There were about 12 other guests besides myself, and it was quite loud. The service was reserved yet friendly, but very attentive. The Grevensteiner beer was perfectly poured. The open kitchen is a real eye-catcher, and the aromas are mouthwatering. The pizza was very good. I had a Pizza Diavolo, which was quite spicy but very tasty. The other dishes that the guests ordered also all looked very appetizing. Overall, I can recommend this restaurant. Prices for all dishes start at €14 and go up from there.

The food tasted okay for a simple salad without any special features. €13.50 seems very overpriced. The service was very friendly, but I would expect a higher-quality salad on my next visit.

We ate at Cappuccino last night. Unfortunately, we waited almost 40 minutes before someone even came and asked us what we wanted. The service was unfriendly and rude. By the time the food arrived, the pizzas were already lukewarm, the pasta was missing Parmesan, and the bread with the salad was hard and dry. When we mentioned this when paying, we unfortunately received another rude response. We certainly won't be eating here again.

I've rarely eaten out so badly. The penne special was absolutely tasteless, lacking any seasoning. For €16.90, I expected more. The Italian veal meatball for €19.90 was also completely bland and tasteless. Any fast food joint can do the same, if not better.

Hello, I was there with my family on August 2, 2025, and would like to share some of the things we noticed. First, I'd like to mention that, despite not owning a Gucci bag, we already know what Italian taste and cuisine are. We couldn't understand the nice waitress's argument that they don't serve classic Italian cuisine here. -Great ambiance -Very attentive and friendly/nice service -Prices are quite steep -The food was not good at all, even though all the dishes were served relatively quickly. Spaghetti Bolognese was more like "Bolognese" spaghetti, pizza was undercooked, and penne curry zucchini resembled hospital food. Of course, that's just our experience.

We had a very nice dinner and were served extremely attentively and friendly. The pizza was good but nothing special, but the pasta was remarkably good. What we found particularly good was that the menu wasn't too long and included some very unusual dishes. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended!

Very nicely nestled between the spa park and the pedestrian zone, tastefully furnished. Staff very friendly. We only had hot drinks here, I don't know what the food is like there.

Short trip to Bad Sassendorf. Early February, very cold and very little going on. Shops at the spa park are very manageable, as is the “shopping street”. Then in the evening for a cappuccino. Very nicely and comfortably furnished restaurant, quite large for the town. Great food, prices not like the pizzeria around the corner, but you can hardly find pizzas like that there. More like real Italian, Neapolitan. A Margherita costs 11 euros. There are smaller portions for 2 euros less. Was expecting a small pizza, but it was only slightly smaller than the normal one. Quite a large selection of dishes and desserts.

The service is very good, motivated and friendly. You have to order pizza rolls separately for €5.70, they are smaller than usual but more and we chose the homemade aioli. That's ok. The side salad was quite large and was enough for two of us. I rate the pizzas really poorly. Prefabricated blanks are probably used (pizzas are circular) and covered with everything you ordered. In my case there was ham all over the surface, thin slices of pears and cheese all over the surface. It has nothing to do with an Italian pizza, it's more reminiscent of a sandwich. The taste was like this. I would eat there again but wouldn't order pizza again.

My food was good. I just thought the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right. 19.80 for a salad. Lentils with 8 fried prawns on rocket and 2 pieces of warm bread. But it was delicious.

Great menu, very flexible if 6 people show up without a reservation, absolutely the best and nice service. Everyone left full and very happy, but not without making a reservation for the following evening. Just as good as the night before. Gladly again ! good luck

Top Italian. Relatively expensive, but the food is worth every euro. Spaghetti Bolognese is absolutely recommended. I've never eaten so well before. The pizza was also very good. Bottom not burnt and evenly covered. Had margarita and these individually. It was directly stated here that it costs €1.80 per ingredient. That's how it has to be. It was worth it. So, overall conclusion: very good. Definitely test it.

Great Italian restaurant!! The service was friendly, nice, helpful and served and cleared away quickly. The food we ordered was... Excellently cooked and tasteful. The location is very central on the edge of the spa park. Anyone who appreciates good food is in good hands here.

We ate here because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't crispy and tasteless, the children's portion was far too small and unfortunately the Bolognese was returned to us a short time later. We definitely weren't sick. We have to say that it was quite warm that day, but we would have liked to have avoided the experience. A pity. To the operator's answer: My health is none of your business, but I have been symptom-free for a long time. It is of course understandable that people are trying to grab the last straw here! However, referring to older recessions does not change the facts described above. Plural.

A very quiet restaurant with a rather rustic atmosphere. It was very full at the time of our visit, which is why we sat in the next room - but there was also significantly less hustle and bustle 🙂 Food was great, as was the service overall.

Nice restaurant, friendly furnishings and plenty of outside seating. In addition to classic pizza and pasta dishes, the menu also offers fish and meat dishes. We had the pizza cappuccino with tuna, ham and onions, very large, well seasoned, you can't do it better. Our visit was during a rehabilitation stay. If we lived in Bad Sassendorf, this would be our regular restaurant.

A NICE EVENING Cozy pizzeria, despite the upcoming holiday it wasn't a problem to get a table, it was busy, but there were still free seats available. What was interesting was the show cooking, which allowed you to get a close look at the chefs. The dishes we ordered were very tasty across the board, the meat was tender and to the point. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was friendly and quick. We were served coffee outside even though we ate in the restaurant. An all-round successful evening.

There were eight of us today and we sat on the right as soon as you came in, which was great because older people were there. The service was super friendly and everyone's food was absolutely top notch. Also something unusual or adapted to the season, as I had the spaghetti with wild garlic pesto and shrimp. That was an absolute treat 😋and what's also important, it was really hot 🤩 A MUST, the pizza rolls with aioli are amazing 😉🤗👍🏻👍🏻

It was too loud in the restaurant. During the second drink slide, the waitress asked if we wanted to eat something too, as we had already eaten pizza and the like. The waiters' wardrobe left a lot to be desired. And that for a restaurant in the spa business. Not possible at all, in my opinion. It was an experience, nothing more. It's definitely not worth repeating.

We are currently on a short vacation in Bad Sassendorf. So it was our first time here in the restaurant. We were the first three guests to get a table without a reservation at 5:30 p.m. After about 20 minutes the place was full. When the food came after a short wait we knew why...Everything tasted great. The service was very attentive and incredibly nice. Overall, it more than deserves 5 out of 5 stars. Very tasty pizza, would love to come back

I am currently visiting the Lindenplatz Clinic (Bad Sassendorf) The “cappuccino” was recommended to me by other patients. I wasn't disappointed, on the contrary Me and my husband really liked it. 🙂 But you should book a table in advance as it is very popular. This can be done easily via WhatsApp 😊 It was super tasty and cozy, that I also have a farewell meal with the girls in a cappuccino. We are really looking forward to Sunday evening.

Short and sweet, simply great. Went there as a family and got food for the child first and then a toy for the little one. Food was great! Ambiance was nice too. All in all great!

Finally we visited this restaurant. We have heard many times that Restaurant Cappuccino is very great, but we didn't have time to visit it even though we live 5 minutes away from the restaurant. The food is very good. We tried two different pastas. The staff is quick and nice. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, but in my opinion, there is so much yellow light that it is very difficult to take normal photos with a cell phone.

Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und nett eingerichtet. Obwohl es sehr voll war und wir nicht reserviert hatten, bekamen wir noch einen Platz zugewiesen. Das Essen, ein Salat und eine Pizza, waren sehr lecker und optisch schön angerichtet. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Eine schmackhafte vegetarische Pizza von sehr guter Qualität hat uns erfreut.

Ich vergebe selten 5 Sterne, aber in dem Fall passt Preis /Leistung ganz gut zusammen und es ist auch sonst ganz nett gewesen. Alles bestens (für die Örtlichkeit) und gern mal wieder. Danke.
