Restaurant Adriatic in Berlin

First time there and immediately impressed. Fast and friendly service and excellent food. I'd love to come back. November 8, 2025, went there again. The menu has been revised with significantly more choices. In addition to Croatian cuisine, there's now a lot of Italian food. I ordered a mixed grill with cevapcici, minced steak, bacon, rump steak, and pork tenderloin. The taste was great, however, the pork was too dry and the beef was almost too dry. A shame. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. We'll be back.

I've been a guest for years because I truly love this food. I've also just gone there for a beer and a liqueur. The then-new lava grill was and still is great. However, these days they want to please everyone, with Italian, burgers, and much more. There are so many of these restaurants here, and I don't understand why they don't stay true to their roots, especially when they're neglecting them. It's a real shame. It used to be 5 stars, but now it's only 3.

We celebrated my mother's birthday here yesterday. Even though there were only two waitresses (because they were on vacation), we received very friendly and prompt service. The food was good, even the side salad with the (really delicious) house dressing was complimentary, and everyone was treated to a nightcap at the end. The food was okay, but the server was very intrusive and irritated because the order had been changed after about 30 seconds at the table. The same thing happened when issuing the bill. Sorry to have disturbed their leisure time!! :-( A complaint at the next table escalated, and the guest left the restaurant shaking his head. Not recommended.

We visited the Adriatic for the third time yesterday. Our waiter was very friendly and prompt. The food was delicious. We had a lovely evening here. We'll be back.

We were here for the first time today. It was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. The food was incredibly delicious. Our female server was incredibly nice! However, today they were apparently very understaffed. I found it quite rude at times for the male waiter to repeat this over and over again! I also didn't like how some guests were pressured to place their food and drink orders quickly. We've never experienced this before. I don't know if he found it "funny." Luckily, it didn't affect us too much; we were at the next table!

We visited the Adriatic for the first time today and had vegetable ratatouille. This was also available with fried potatoes upon request. Very tasty. The chanterelles with extra cream sauce and chicken breast fillet (from the chanterelle menu) were also delicious. The service was attentive and tried hard to accommodate our requests.

We regularly eat at the Adriatic on Edelhofdamm! It's simply fantastic! The food comes quickly and is excellent! They're currently serving chanterelle mushrooms...the soup and the other dishes are to die for!!!! Delicious!!! The service is always very friendly and attentive...it really couldn't be better! You just feel at home! We always order a steak for our dog! It comes medium, and the quality is top notch!!! A huge thank you for the wonderful hospitality and the great food!!!!

Today was the first time five of us ate at the Adriatic for my birthday. Thanks to the beautiful weather, we were able to eat outside in the very pleasant and peaceful outdoor area. The service was super friendly. Every dish tasted excellent. There was nothing to complain about. We'd be happy to come back.

It was really nice to sit outside today, even if only for a short time since we took the food with us. Meat was consistently juicy and tender. Even the fries were still super crispy after transport. The critical children also tried it out and were thrilled.

Das Restaurant hat stark nachgelassen. Waren heute vor in dem Restaurant essen. Das letzte Mal vor 6 Monaten. Seit dem ist der Salat weggefallen. Preise sind stark angestiegen. Qualität der Gerichte haben stark nachgelassen. Bedienung ist immer noch die gleiche und gleichbleibend nett und zuvorkommend. Die Qualität des der Küche ist aber leider nicht mehr die gleiche. Schade, werden das Restaurant nicht mehr aufsuchen.

Very busy Croatian restaurant with really friendly staff, offering the typical grilled dishes but also alternatives that are less meat-heavy. The four of us found the quality and preparation of the dishes very good, everyone enjoyed it. I think it's a shame that for some time now, despite the increased prices, the small side salad is no longer included, like in many other similar Croatian restaurants. You have to pay at least €4.50 extra for a salad in the Adriatic if you want something healthy as a side dish and then you can quickly pay well over €20 for a normal portion. At the same time, I saw that the fries or rice were missing on some plates. Perhaps we could reintroduce a small salad addition instead of excessive unhealthy side dishes.

I was in the restaurant for the first time last week and I have to say that I enjoyed everything. I had the plate of cevapcici and have to say that the portion size was sufficient and both the fries and the rice tasted very good. There was also the usual chopped and seasoned onions. There is a TV hanging in the corner showing pictures of Croatia, but it didn't bother me; other guests complained about it. Anyway, I'm so engrossed in the conversation with my table partner that a TV hanging in the corner could disturb me. There may have been a schnapps on the house in the past and it seems to still be available in other Croatian restaurants, but personally I can do without it since I don't drink alcohol anyway and it's more about the taste and preparation of the food that matters to me , than a free shot. I will happily come back and try a grill plate next time.

Addendum: I have noted your reaction. My advice to you: Research the difference between discussion and harassment. Update on my review: Unfortunately there are no more side salads and you wait in vain for a Slivovitz from the house. To this day, that gave me the delicious overall picture of a Croatian meal. It's a shame, instead there's the constant whining about the increased purchasing prices. I wonder how many Greeks still manage to keep salad and ouzo(s). Luckily there is enough competition. ------------------------------------------------- My review from 6 years ago: Hearty and delicious Croatian cuisine, very clean and friendly. Nice atmosphere, which contrasts favorably with the usual canteen charm of most Croatian restaurants. The prices are ok... and there is the side salad as it should be!

Never been disappointed! Every time I stop by, I absolutely love the grill plate. The food is really great, especially the perfectly prepared meat. The staff is super friendly and on the ball. The prices are a little higher than in comparable restaurants, but the quality of the food absolutely makes up for it. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance as the Adriatic is always busy.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. There are three points for this. But points are deducted for the surroundings: For the second time we had to experience that we were told right at the beginning (on the weekend!) that they would be closing today (for one reason or another) at 9.30 p.m. A quick look at the clock: Yes, we can do it if we hurry... The (real) Wiener Schnitzel is no longer offered, although it is still on the menu. The side salad (which used to be delicious) was canceled. You would have to order separately (and of course also pay for it). Unfortunately, we only found out when the rest of the food was already on the table. The nightcap “on the house” is no longer available either. The latter two points in particular are actually a no-go for a Croatian. Not for money, but for service and atmosphere. (The fact that the TV constantly flickers with some landscape shots outside of important sporting events is certainly a matter of taste. But that was the case before.) All in all: Rather a sad overall impression.

Hmmm… ein Kroatisches Restaurant, was jetzt auch eine Pizza anbietet? Ein seltsames Konzept. Allerdings muss man dazu sagen, dass die Pizza teuer als die die meisten Fleischgerichte ist, dafür aber auch herausragend schmeckt! Wir waren früher häufiger hier zu Gast. Leider sind die Preise stark angehoben worden (Begründung: die MwSt.). Als die Steuer auf 7% gesenkt wurde, wurden die Preise nicht abgesenkt…. Dafür ist jetzt der Salat auch nicht mehr im Preis inklusive und der Schnaps bzw. Espresso beim bezahlen fiel auch weg. Anscheinend versucht der Inhaber deutlich mehr Umsatz zu generieren. Schade, denn wir kommen deshalb nur noch sehr selten und nutzen lieber andere Alternativen.

You have to try their pizza! Adriatic was recommended to me and it exceeded all the expectations. Tried their new ‘Napoletana’ Pizza and I can honestly say it’s the best pizza I have ever had. The staff is also lovely, I love that it’s a family run business.

We were there earlier in the afternoon, everything was at the table very quickly and everything was hot and tasty. Gladly again. The portions were so big that we took the leftovers with us.

We ordered two grilled specialties for lunch today and were very satisfied. The meat was perfect and the side dishes, especially the fresh vegetables, tasted good. The service was very friendly and we felt we were in good hands. It should be emphasized that some dishes on the menu are also offered in smaller portions.

In addition, talking about long-time customers and their feedback, claiming that their culture doesn't allow them to talk about certain things. It has nothing to do with culture and having certain manners. We and others did not criticize you as a person but rather reflected what you experienced. Everyone wears the shoe that suits them. Many of the good reviews come from the past, when we were also satisfied customers. I'm excited to see what direction it develops. All the best anyway....😉 The prices have been raised completely excessively. As (former) long-time, loyal customers, we tried it again today, despite the massive price increase, and have to say that it was definitely the last time. There has been an indirect price increase of around 30% for our dishes. In addition to the regular increase, the side salad, which you had to buy for almost €5 extra if you wanted your meal like before, is now no longer available. I estimate the schnapps on the house, which was always available, to be around €3, which now adds around €8 to the normal, increased price. We knew all that, but wanted to give the food another chance. It seemed to us as if the dishes now tasted a little different and the portions had also become a little smaller. We also felt that the atmosphere in the restaurant was no longer as relaxed and friendly as it was before the change of ownership. The food is not bad, but it no longer suits our taste, the price and performance are no longer right for us, just as we no longer like the atmosphere. Very, very unfortunate. But still all the best, just without us.

Thanks to the change of ownership, there is finally a breath of fresh air. Fresh ingredients, great mix of Croatian cuisine & selected international dishes and fantastic service. The burrata is better than at some Italian restaurants and the schnitzel and burgers are also great. Anyone who complains about the prices here should urgently go out to eat in the city or just around the corner in the significantly worse and more expensive Greenhouse. The only suggestion for improvement would be slightly smaller main courses 😅

We have been regular customers here for years. Unfortunately, a lot has changed. The portions have become smaller, the side salad is missing and the taste has unfortunately changed to the disadvantage. I understand that everything will be more expensive, but then the offer should remain as customers are used to. Otherwise, VAT has not changed. You should accept the criticism and try to do better and not be arrogant. The previous owner He didn't cut anything down, he deservedly quit because he worked enough. It's a shame, we really enjoyed staying at the Adriatic. Maybe they'll take that to heart. Nobody means anything bad, they just say it like it is.

You can really have a good time here! A really excellent meal with very good quality - both the meat and the vegetables are cooked to perfection. I have rarely experienced that. The friendly and attentive staff and the ambience with the large terrace and the beautiful villa in the background make this visit a short vacation. Simply recommended! Prices have increased extremely and portions have been reduced!! Even with expensive dishes there is no salad and there is no drink on the house either! It doesn't help if the waitress tries everything to make you feel comfortable. I didn't want to believe it at first when friends told me that it had gotten so bad. We probably won't come anymore!

The ambience of the Adriatic Restaurant is simply enchanting. The cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect place for a romantic dinner or a relaxed meeting with friends and family. Food was just perfect, everything we tried tasted great. Service was first class. Our waiter Luca was extremely attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The prices at Adriatic are absolutely fair, especially when you consider the quality of the food. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The service from the waiters is impeccable!!! But they now charge 4.90 for the small mixed salad, which was usually included with almost every dish (absolute cheek). Generally speaking, the dishes are not cheap, so there is no salad anymore (unless you pay 5 euros on top). Recently you don't even get a schnapps on the house after the bill... what's going to happen to this Croatian restaurant? What is the owner planning to do? (losing customers on purpose?) where is the friendly and courteous manner in these points of the Croats that existed for decades?! P.s. The staff is great, the food is also tasty, but you shouldn't allow yourself all of them just because you have to walk to the restaurant in Frohnau.

Schönes kroatisches Restaurant mit netter Bedienung. Im Sommer kann man draußen essen. Alles insoweit tippi-toppi!! Ich muss aber Stefan W. mit seinem Kommentar vom Juni 2024 zustimmen! Die Potpourri-Platte kostete inkl. Salat keine 20 EUR. Jetzt gibt es die Potpourri-Platte OHNE Salat für 20 EUR. Der Salat kostet jetzt 5 EUR extra. Damit kostet das gleiche Menü nunmehr 25 EUR statt bisher 20 EUR. Die Begründung lautet, dass die 12% MwSt hinzukamen. Das ist völliger Quatsch: 1. Eine Erhöhung von 20 EUR auf 25 EUR entspricht satten 25%. 2. Die jetzt zu zahlenden 19% MwSt. gab es schon sehr lange. Sie wurde nur nach der Corona-Epedmie befristet auf 7% abgesenkt. Trotzdem wurden auch in dieser Zeit bereits Preisanpassungen durchgeführt. 3. Bei einem anderen kroatischen Restaurant in der Nähe kostet die Potpourri-Platte (dort unter dem Name „Räuber-Platte“) INKLUSIVE Salat weiterhin keine 20 EUR. Neben der überzogenen Preiserhöhung von 25% (!) fühlt man sich als Gast mit der gegebenen unzutreffenden Begründung „auf dem Arm genommen“. Und das ist neben der ärgerlichen 25%-Erhöhung ein zweites völlig unnötiges Problem. Und eigentlich ist es schade, weil ansonsten alles in Ordnung ist. Für mich sieht das eher nach Gier aus! Schade, schade, schade!

We have been dining at Adriatic regularly since 1990. Had a few family celebrations there. So a lot of money has flowed through us. The last visit was a bitter disappointment. Not only have the prices risen astronomically, but of course the performance has also been reduced. So even bigger price increase. The last visit was reminiscent of a visit to the canteen. Quick “feeding” and it’s good. Somehow the whole atmosphere has been lost in the Adriatic. The owner's reactions to various reviews confirmed our decision not to enter this restaurant again. Professionalism is different.

We both went there for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! After a friendly welcome and taking our orders, we both quickly had our Wiener Schitzel with a small mixed salad and an orange juice. The Wiener Schnitzel and the salad were rather large than small, and we really enjoyed both. Price-wise, everything is okay too. Conclusion: We'll probably have to go back there soon. Thanks to the great team!

Yes, unfortunately there is no longer a salad with the main courses, but the prices have increased and there are now olives and 2 slices of bread 🤔 exactly and there is no longer a nightcap. I had a confirmed online table reservation for New Year's Eve since mid-October. When I wanted to look at the menu a few hours before the visit, I found out on the website that the shop is closed on New Year's Eve. I would have at least expected an early cancellation - to the address to which the reservation confirmation was sent. A related email remained unanswered. Anyone who treats their guests so arrogantly doesn't deserve any business. PS: At the end of June, this review was blocked by Google because the restaurant owner claimed "defamation"!!! After I provided evidence of my information, Google immediately reactivated the post.

Update: The offering has now changed and, in my opinion, the taste of the food has also changed. There has also been an enormous increase in prices. Not only have the dishes become more expensive, but there is also no longer a side salad, as we have known for years, which is an additional, indirect increase in price. The “schnapps on the house” that has been offered for years is no longer available despite the price increase. What makes matters worse is that you are actually no longer allowed to drive directly to the restaurant, as it is located on a bicycle street which, according to the signs, can only be used by bicycles and residents. Otherwise, you can eat in a very pleasant atmosphere, nice service and everything at significantly increased prices. If the weather is nice you can also sit outside. Unfortunately, we will now significantly limit our visits. A pity.

Meat always juicy and very well grilled. A very clear recommendation despite a significant price increase (like almost everywhere). Update 06/28/24: Prices increased significantly again; Salad cut out, portions reduced; “Dessert” painted on the house. We have been customers of this establishment for 50 years under the various operators. Now we will step away from it for now. The current operator will not be interested - as you can see from his various polemical and arrogant comments here - but I would still like to mention it. Everything has become expensive but various Croatians in the north of the city can manage it too. Also without loss of quality and with moderate adjustments.

Staff friendly! I got a small pusta platter today. I was disappointed that there was no free salad anymore. I think 3 slices of meat on a small pusta platter is just too much! Better 2 slices and a free salad...

There is no need to write about the food and the service because they are really top. We have always enjoyed coming to eat and today we were again very satisfied with the service and the food. 3 people 70 euros unfortunately no more starters and nothing after paying. And even if everything has become more expensive, as has been said and written, the prices were already increased during the C pandemic, despite the 7% VAT, the beers were smaller from 0.5 l to 0.4 l and this is now also being done when eating out. The cevapcici are only as narrow as a little finger and the meat on the skewers only has half of what it used to be. That's why I only give it 3 stars and there was no tip, so I feel sorry for the waiter but I don't support that.

It's a shame - how this traditional restaurant in Frohnau has declined. The prices on the website are no longer correct. Not only were they significantly increased, but the side salad was also eliminated. The worst thing, however, was several black whiskers in the food.

It used to be one of our favorites in the area, but unfortunately it hasn't been there recently. Reason: suddenly there is no more salad to eat, which was always a perfect refreshment for the dish we ordered. Maybe you can increase the price of the dishes a little so that the salad is included again?! There is also no more “schnapps on the house” or any other austerity measure. I'm also not frustrated by how the owner describes me, because theoretically I can afford the "nightcap" myself, but this gesture was just part of good business and now it's no longer, so what! Unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't as good on the last visit either; why do you save on such important things? Too bad, we're out!!

Service, ambience and food was really good! The portions are also big enough to fill you up. What is astonishing is that, according to the boss's instructions, no small salad bowl is served as a starter, even with a grilled plate or other dishes over 22 euros. That was always part of a Croatian restaurant! We were three couples who spent around 80 euros each on food and drinks! It's all the more surprising that the obligatory "schnapps" from the house was also abolished by the boss. So I personally miss the “icing on the cake” of warmth that one should show the guest. The prices have all been “adjusted” upwards, so we can no longer talk about “appropriate” prices. I get the impression that the “boss” wants to cash in quickly and the customer is left behind. We will be in the medium term not see you again. Savings are being made at the wrong end here!

Das Ambiente und Personal, sowie das Essen sind vorzüglich. Preislich hat sich das Restaurant Adriatic allerdings deutlich vom normalen "Kroatischen Restaurant" entfernt. Selbst bei einem Grillteller, oder Gericht über 22.- Euro, sind die obligatorischen kleinen Salate, nicht mehr im Preis inbegriffen. Wir waren drei Paare und haben gut gegessen und getrunken, sodass jedes Paar im Schnitt über 80.- Euro bezahlen musste. Jetzt der nächste Hammer! Ein obligatorischen"Schnaps" vom Haus, wurde, wie der Salat, nach Angaben der Kellner, vom Chef verboten! Aus meiner Sicht ein Unding, wenn solche Dinge vom Chef untersagt werden, fehlt mir persönlich ein Stück "Herzlichkeit"!! Das heißt, uns wird der Chef mittelfristig nicht mehr wiedersehen! Tja, am falschen Ende gespart!!

Today we went to the Adriatic restaurant for the first time. It is definitely the best Croatian restaurant in Berlin. Although our requests were a little complicated, the restaurant staff accommodated us. The grilled meat was very tasty and prepared to our liking. What surprised us even more was the vegetarian pasta that my friend ate. I would also like to highlight the chicken fillet with gnocchi in Calabrese sauce. Definitely the juiciest grilled chicken. And finally the dessert Semifreddo, for which I would give a 10.

Large, tasty portions at a reasonable price. Attentive and friendly service. Always my pleasure.

The prices are clearly too high. The price increase does not do justice to the quality. In addition, salad is no longer offered free of charge and the final drink has also been canceled, but the prices have now increased by 20%. A pity!

Friendly service, delicious food. What more do you want?

We've been coming here for a long time and the food and service have always been consistently good! Unfortunately, customers are now becoming very upset. Apparently they no longer need to serve a salad before the meal and there is no more schnapps after paying. But it still became a lot more expensive!!! We've been coming here for decades but not anymore!! Are you feeling that bad?? Following on from my criticism, I would like to say that the owner's reactions were very cheeky and presumptuous!!

No more salads to eat....they've been canceled... And a bit like a canteen....Zack Zack constantly asks, the restaurant is very nice and the front garden too.

Unfortunately, in contrast to before, it has decreased significantly! And again and again you read, good luck in a restaurant! Yes, we found it, including schnapps on the house and salad at the front and still cheap prices and delicious!!(Schorfheidestrasse) It's a shame about our Croatian in Frohnau. Before the change of ownership it was great there. Staff nice as always.

We waited over an hour for our food (there were 8 people). Unfortunately there is no longer a salad with the meat dishes (the prices have also increased), it now costs €4.90. Last but not least, the Aperol Sprizz, which is made with secco and sparkling water, was unfortunately non-carbonated. When we asked the waiter about it, he even said, yes, I know, the stand has been around for a while... Oh wow, I thought a new one would have to come now, but no! So there was no side salad anymore, generally more expensive, waiting forever for food, drinks not good, no more schnapps on the house……..customer service was zero. Unfortunately, you have lost customers. I come from the catering industry myself and find something like this sad to see!

Friendly and quick service. Everyone enjoyed the food, but not as usual in every Yugoslavian restaurant, no nightcap.
