I'm only reviewing the visit and the food outside. We visited here on a weekday around 2 p.m. The staff seemed very bored right from the start and the table was shaking quite a bit, but this was fixed with a beer mat. The order was taken quickly and we were surprised that everything was delivered so quickly. That was maybe 10-12 minutes until everything was on the table. The food was nice and hot and everything was very fresh. The portions were generous and tasty. As usual, ketchup and fresh hot onions were served, but for me the minced steak was extremely oversalted. When asked about this, the waiter only said that the chef couldn't find anything. If this was followed up at all... It's really nice to sit outside when the weather permits. Only you waiters are allowed to put on a friendly face and not stand around smoking. Parking spaces are scarce here and you have to be lucky. Actually, this would have been a good 4 stars, but unfortunately the grumpy service ruined it.. edit 08/24 My wife wanted to go here again because the ribs were so delicious and I ordered a mix plate again. But again, the meat in the mix plate was tender and good in itself, but totally oversalted. The spicy onions and amounts of ketchup masked it. It was Friday evening and the village meadow was busy, so we had to wait 50 minutes for the food. At a good Italian restaurant you can at least get bread with olive oil to nibble on.

Very nice Croatian restaurant. The food is very good. Meat eaters get their money's worth here, and the price-performance ratio is right. The service is very friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back.

Nice restaurant with a nice garden area. Croatian cuisine is atypical for the name, but as expected it was plentiful and tasted good. Ice cream sundae is very tasty and recommended Unfortunately service is not always attentive.

It wasn't the store for me now. I always find it strange when the staff work in jeans and T-shirts. The food was okay, although to have a comparison I eat the same thing every Croatian eats and that was actually the worst of the bunch. When I ordered I wasn't asked whether it was a large or small portion, they simply brought me a large one. For me it's a shop you can do or you can go to one of the numerous other Croatians within a 2 km radius I'm sorry but that's my personal feeling about the store.

As always, delicious and plentiful. Great service in the beautiful atmosphere of the old Wittenau village meadow. Perfect for families.

I don't want to badmouth the restaurant because you can actually eat there. But I expect the food to taste better than if I prepared it myself. And unfortunately it didn't do that for me. I suspect that it's a lot of frozen food, because handmade cevapcici don't have such a uniform consistency inside. And in a restaurant I would like to have fresh homemade food.

The food tastes good and is very plentiful. You can sit well both inside and outside. When the tables are occupied it is a little louder, just normal. Based on our experience, I would recommend that hearing aid wearers reserve a table at the end of the room with their backs to other guests

There used to be a really good Croatian who served really good Croatian food. We've been going to this restaurant every now and then for years, but today was the day where we realized that it wasn't for me anymore. The service was just quick, not very friendly or even a bit of fun that we usually had. The only one who really tried hard was a young man who had a good laugh and really enjoyed the job. Unfortunately, everyone else really missed this fun part of the job. That's really a shame because we really enjoyed going there. Unfortunately, the food was just okay and no longer what it used to be... the meat dishes were more than well done and the Ćevapčići were simply no longer what they used to be. We had the feeling of being dealt with and we know that things were different. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and the service staff kept that under control. We never had the feeling that it depended on the day of the week in any way, but today it was different somehow and it was enough that we didn't feel comfortable. A pity.

Yes! Performance and price are right.

2024 - The quality of the food feels like it has decreased. So far I have always been very satisfied, unfortunately less so on my last visit. Hope it will be better next time. 2021 - Very good Croatian restaurant, the food is tasty and plentiful. Compared to other Croatians, I particularly like the modern and cozy atmosphere and the beautiful guest garden.

The food was quite good so far, only the rice was a bit dry. No salad with the main course. We are used to this from other Croatian restaurants. One spaghetti ice cream 🍨 felt like it was 500g, the second felt like 250g. Not well portioned. When we wanted to pay we had to remind ourselves twice. We won't be coming back anytime soon.........

We were here for the first time. Super tasty food and very nice service. The portions are very generous and if you like eating meat, Dorfaue is the right place for you. Croatian food as you know it from Croatia. We will definitely come back and can recommend the restaurant without hesitation.

I have to admit that my dish “Mix Grill” tasted very good. The bitter side effect is that the dish costs over €20 there. I find that expensive. That was my first and last visit there because they don't even have the famous salad (like every other Croat in Berlin for as long as I can remember). I find that cheeky to say the least. Apparently this has been going on there for 6 years. Well, someone always starts saving for themselves. A pity.

The food is good and plentiful. A big minus point was that we were more or less complimented out at 9.30pm on a Friday evening. Quitting time!!! Sorry, that doesn't work at all. A friend came from the toilet and even had to make her way through the restaurant. A pity!!!

Waren schon öfters dort, um mit Freunden dort zu essen 😋was jedesmal lecker war 😋 Aus diesem Grund habe ich entschieden meine Geburtstagsfeier mit über 30 Gästen im Restaurant „Zur Dorfaue“ zu feiern 🥳 Alle meine Gäste und ich waren begeistert vom Ambiente, von den freundlichen und stets aufmerksamen Kellnern und natürlich von dem leckeren Essen 😊😊 Die Zubereiteten Speisen kamen richtig gut an 👍👍 Dankeschön für die schönen Stunden, die wir in Ihrem Restaurant verbringen durften 👌🙏 Ich kann das Restaurant allen sehr gerne weiterempfehlen und freue mich schon aufs nächste Mal 😋😊🤩

Wir waren zum erste Mal dort Essen und es war wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Der Service stimmt, die Vielfalt im Menü ist groß und für jeden etwas dabei. Das Fleisch und Gemüse ist alles frisch. Geschmacklich war es wirklich eine Gaumenfreude 😁👍. Und der Service stimmt auch, sehr nettes Personal. Schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Wir werden demnächst mal wieder bei ihnen einkehren. Die Bratkartoffeln waren alle richtig angeschwärzt. Das mag ich so gar nicht und die Kellner beachteten uns nicht mehr so richtig, als wir zahlen wollten. Das war, als sollten wir bleiben und noch mehr kaufen. Jungs, das war ziemlich unfreundlich.

Leckeres Essen, frisch zubereitet und freundliche Bedienung. Nicht zu vergessen , ein sehr schönes Ambiente. Komme gerne wieder.

Wir waren am 1. Feiertag dort zum Gänsekeulen Essen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Am Service könnte man noch einiges verbessern.

Tolles Restaurant mit schnellen Service, obwohl alle Tische belegt waren. Und das Essen ist sehr gut. Wir waren definitiv nicht das letzte Mal hier. Update; jedesmal sehr lecker und schnell. Wir werden weiterhin kommen.

Ich war schon in vielen Kroatischen Restaurants essen. Heute war ich Sehr positiv vom Essen und dem Service begeistert. Toiletten 🚽 waren sauber und ordentlich. Sehr bequeme Stühle. P.s. die Schnecken waren eine wucht 😉

Also, das Essen war sehr gut, was wir im Restaurant eingenommen haben, aber das bedienende Personal war unmöglich. Wir wurden, nachdem wir unser Essen beendet haben, eine halbe Stunde missachtet. Dann konnte ich endlich sagen, dass ich noch ein Essen mitnehmen möchte. Ich bekam es auch und daraufhin wurden wir erneut eine halbe Stunde nicht mehr beachtet. Niemand nahm Blickkontakt zu uns auf. Ich musste 6 Mal rufen. Dann konnten wir endlich bezahlen und mit dem kalten Essen gehen. Zuhause stellte mein Sohn fest, dass seine Bratkartoffeln unter dem Schnitzel überwiegend schwarz waren. Sie waren nicht genießbar. Dafür zu teuer! Danke für nichts. Nie wieder...

Wir waren jetzt schon ein paar Mal hier zum Essen. Das Essen ist bzw. war immer lecker und wurde frisch zubereitet. Es kam schnell aus der Küche. Jetzt zur Weihnachtszeit ist es besonders hübsch dekoriert.

Den durchweg männlichen Servicekräften fehlt es an der nötigen Freundlichkeit den Gästen gegenüber. Vielleicht werden sie schlecht bezahlt oder sind überlastet oder beides: wir gehen da jedenfalls nicht wieder hin. Im übrigen war die Gänsekeule total versalzen.

Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker und reichlich, auch wenn ich das Gefühl habe, dass viel mit TK-Ware gearbeitet wird. Der Service ist schnell und nicht unfreundlich. Wirkt aber bei "Nicht Stammgästen" etwas distanziert. War nicht das erste und sicher nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir da waren.

Wir waren an einem Freitag um 19 Uhr da. Das Essen war sehr gut. Doch ab 20:30 Uhr waren wir die letzten Gäste und um 21 Uhr wurden wir aufgefordert zu zahlen, weil dann Feierabend gemacht wird. Wer also am Wochenende etwas länger noch gemütlich sitzen will, ist hier fehl am Platz. Wir kommen jedenfalls nicht wieder.

Service und Personal hat es nicht so mit Freundlichkeit. Bestellung wird lustlos gebracht und hingestellt. Danach kommt niemand mehr vorbei, um zu fragen, ob man noch etwas möchte. Essen ist ok. Unterschied zwischen Essensgrösse klein und gross nicht wirklich erkennbar, dafür aber ein hoher Preisunterschied, der nicht wirklich gerechtfertigt ist. War ein Versuch....

Essen war gut nur der Salat vorne weg hat gefehlt bei den Preisen

Man kann drinnen und draußen sitzen zum essen . Dort kann man auch feiern veranstalten nettes Personal, Essen gut. Zu Weihnachten kann man dort Ente oder Ganz essen bzw für zu Hause bestellen.

Viele Kellner, aber kein guter Service. Irgendwie nicht mehr so wie früher. Die Saucen kamen aus der Tüte und wenn ich ehrlich bin die gefüllten Champions haben mich auch nicht überzeugt. Die Kroketten waren lecker,aber der Rest hat mich nicht überzeugt. Ich denke, wieder ein Lokal in das man nicht mehr gehen muss. Schade

Tolles Haus, freundlicher Service, gutes Essen. Leider wurden wir nach dem Essen irgendwie aus dem Gedächtnis des Services gelöscht. Zum Zahlen ging ich dann rein. Das Essen war lecker, riesige Portionen. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich.

Sehr schönes Ambiente mit der Möglichkeit auch draußen zu sitzen. Service war gut und auch am Essen war nichts auszusetzen.Kleinen Schnaps gab es gratis beim bezahlen.

Es war sehr lecker und schön. Kann man gerne weiter empfehlen, zur Zeit kleinere Karte aber Trotzdem aber toll, auch keine langen Wartezeiten. Macht weiter so!

Sehr zu empfehlen alles rund um sehr gut 👍🏽

Es ist ein tolles und nettes Lokal. Der Außenbereich ist sehr schön und vermittelt ein wenig Urlaubsflair. Man sitzt dort nicht so sehr aufn Präsentierteller sondern ist durch eine große und dichte Hecke zur Straße hin geschützt. Das Essen ist gut und der Service klasse. Das war zwar der erste Besuch aber wahrscheinlich nicht der Letze.

Meine Frau und ich sind seit über 25 Jahren Stammgäste in der Dorfaue. Wir haben hier noch nie etwas gegessen das nicht geschmeckt hat. Wir werden immer sehr freundlich begrüßt und bedient. Schnell und für Sonderwünsche offen. Leider gibt auch nach dem Besitzerwechsel 2019 keinen kleinen Beilagensalat mehr zu den Grillgerichten. Das geht einfach nicht. Bei keinem Kroaten in Berlin ist das so, dass man dafür extra bezahlen muß.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung war auch Nett wir waren das erste Mal dort aber wir werden jetzt öfter dort einkehren.

Gutes Kroatisches Restaurant mit dem üblichen Speiseangebot. Nichts außer - gewöhnliches. Lebensqualität gut,Service aufmerksam. Preise noch akzeptabel.

Essen von der Pfifferlingskarte und Dessert *Tiramisu* sehr lecker, Salat muss extra bestellt werden. Im Restaurant sehr laut, da voll.

Bodenständige Küche, aber Recht hohe Preise im Vergleich zu anderen kroatischen Restaurants. Ansonsten vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen. Ein kleiner Salat muss separat bestellt werden.

Rundherum zufriedenstellend. Essen ist wirklich klasse. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was will man mehr.

Endlich mal ein moderner Kroate!
