We were very happy with the food and the service was great! We cannot understand the review from a guest regarding “Schlemmerblock customers”; We didn't see a menu with red dots! We will be happy to come back.

We spontaneously decided on “Croatian-Italian” and were rewarded for it! My "Cevapcici Adria" with veal and bacon wrapped with the delicious fries were brought by a nice Italian who informed us about the preparation of the "Pizza Speciale" with the airy, tasty dough! Short version: simply delicious

First of all: unfortunately we couldn't rate the food. I've shortened my original review to bullet points: - Reservation was not honored, although confirmed in writing - We were offered alternatives on site, but we didn't want to sit in the middle of the room (difficult with 2 tables for 2 people) - The service seemed a bit stressed to us - with the room occupied inside and 3/4 full outside. In an email after my original review, we were told that we couldn't go to the other tables because the occupancy was still expected to be very high - Wednesday evening after 6 p.m. - The ambience is nice inside, outside you sit on the quieter Semmelstrasse. However, a few people are already walking past on the sidewalk. - Following my review, compensation was offered for the undesirable evening (wedding anniversary, by the way). As in my original review, I can only write that we would like to give the restaurant a second chance because I am convinced that the food is good.

Cevapi raw, unbaked, tasteless, bun dry. We came once and never again.

Food is quite good so far. The prices are slightly higher. As a gourmet block customer, you are definitely no longer welcome here (see photos)!

Adria Plate and Raznjici "Adria" were very tasty. Wouldn't like to sit and eat on the side of the road where pedestrians and cars are walking/driving by

Beware of the vinegar on the tables, we noticed flies in it after we put some on our salad. The pizza didn’t have much flavor in the marinara. However, the bread was good and the salad had nice greens, the salad dressing wasn’t much flavor either.

Have eaten there twice so far. We only found out about this recently and are not from Würzburg. The food is well made, you just have to like the different types of meat that are available. Sometimes it could use a little more spice, but overall tasty. We'll definitely come back - the pizza as an alternative is very tasty.

The food was fantastic. We came by because of the gourmet block, unfortunately the Croatian plates were excluded, but we still wanted to eat them, which was a good decision. We'll definitely come back to try pizza, they looked great, we can use the block for that. The waiter was super funny and nice. The beer was a little low in carbonation, but overall we were very satisfied and can warmly recommend the Adria

Got a spot spontaneously and wasn't disappointed. The staff were funny and made our stay fun. Nobody left the table hungry - what more could you want? 😉

The best Croatian I've ever eaten at. The boss is one of the nicest guys you know, always funny and nice to everyone. But the boss is not the only thing that defines the store. The kitchen is where it really shines. I got the lamb chop and I was surprised that it tasted even better than in Croatia and Dubai. Truly a masterpiece. We will be back definitely

The restaurant is a fun mix of North German, medieval and Croatian flair. Very quaint. I felt very comfortable here, especially because of the waiters, who were so friendly, approachable and really cared about every single guest. I wonder why not everyone can be in such a good mood, especially in the catering industry, where that's what counts. But the waiters here really do a fantastic job. The food was also yummy. I was immediately offered an extra vegetarian menu that wasn't on the menu when I asked about vegetables. Top.

Very good food, extremely exclusive cuisine/food selection. Friendly staff. Outside there are parasols and pretty bushes to separate us from the side street with little traffic. Comfortably furnished inside. The point deducted from the ambience concerns the toilet: old, rotten toilet paper, dirty from floor to ceiling, no disinfectant. Otherwise, the tables and chairs were clean and the food was beautifully presented.

The food was great and, above all, hot at the table. The service was great! The people who work there enjoy their work. We'll definitely be back!

The lasagna was very small, so my partner had to get a kebab afterwards to fill up. Unfortunately, my spaghetti cabonara didn't taste like anything either. In addition, we had the problem that our gourmet block was not recognized because we forgot to mention it right at the beginning. (This wasn't a problem in the same restaurant 2 months before, it's a shame that this kind of thing always depends on the staff) Unfortunately, the waiter was a bit overwhelmed with the three tables outside, so I couldn't order anything else to drink. That was our last visit to this restaurant.

Small but nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere and the food was great. You could experience a piece of Croatia in this restaurant. Prices were good and the service was very happy and very welcoming to the guests. I will go there again soon and I can only recommend it🤗🤗

Pizza, pasta, Croatian The Croatian main course was ok. But nothing more. The minced meat tasted good, but the texture was rubbery and difficult to eat The rice was quite bland, fries and ajvar were delicious! Because of the good overall impression, I would come again to test the pizza!

Portions absolutely not filling and the taste is very average. Price performance has completely failed here. However, service is still very, very attentive and nice. Go somewhere else! You think you are in a Croatian restaurant. No, you enter a 'food shed' where you are not counted as a guest, but as turnover. Hats off to the man at the service, the other barely speaks German and knows nothing about Croatia.. Food bad: Lasagna mainly a thick slice of cheese, it was impossible to get through. Raznjinzi: meat very dried out, a dried out piece of onion, tasteless rice, fries that were way too salty, I started to dislike it, in short I couldn't eat it. Waste of money. Booked months in advance: no place upon arrival, had to take a seat in a bad spot. No attention from management. Totally disinterested staff. It's not about guests, it's about money. When paying, no one could be found, they were having a nice conversation with each other. Never go, folks.

We were a group of eight people. Three ate Italian and five chose Croatian. The Croatian dishes were nicely prepared, but the quality and taste were average at best. In addition, the food was too cold. With a lot of goodwill 3 stars for the meals. The waitress was very friendly and courteous and deserved a nice tip.

Croatian cuisine in Würzburg’s Semmelstrasse

The Adria Restaurant, in its visually unobtrusive location, initially creates a rustic and somewhat outdated impression, which is reflected in both the external appearance and the interior. The narrowness of the room and the suboptimal (narrow) table arrangement do not contribute to the atmosphere and can be perceived as disturbing. The menu offers an extensive selection for meat and fish lovers, which can certainly be overwhelming for some guests. Vegetarians and vegans are offered a manageable standard repertoire of Italian dishes (antipasti, soup, salad, pasta, gnocchi, pizza). Fortunately, the ability to customize dishes based on personal preferences expands the selection across the different menu sections. Our original intention was limited to drinking a latte macchiato and fries with ketchup for the child. What caught our attention during our lunchtime visit, however, was the special lunch offer, valid Monday to Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., which offers pasta and pizza for €10.50 each. There was some skepticism about the cheap offer, but the appealing picture of a Neapolitan-style pizza on the menu was reason to order a Quattro Formaggi pizza and a salad in addition to the fries. It was a pleasant surprise that the pizza turned out to be excellent. The cheese used for the Quattro Formaggi pizza consists of a combination of Gorgonzola, Brie, Provola and Taleggio, although the quantity is not stingy. The combination with Brie was new and offers an interesting note that fits harmoniously into the strong flavor profile. The pizza dough was airy and yet crispy at the same time. A perfect texture and flavor combination that went well with the Primorye salad. Due to the quality, we ordered another pizza, which was also well received by the child. The presentation of the food generally leaves a lot to be desired. The salad was served in an unappealing manner and lacks a certain level of care or creativity in the plating that can elevate a simple dish. With dishes like pizza and fries, there's little room for serious presentation errors. Other guests' plates of meat dishes showed a similar neglect in presentation: unappetizing piles of ingredients, garnished with a tacky decorative flag that was more disruptive than decorative. Overall, the food lacks visual appeal, which detracts a bit from the dining experience. The dessert selection is limited to pancakes and tiramisu. The taste was satisfactory despite a small criticism of the pancakes due to the dough being too thick and the filling being sparse. The restaurant's price-performance ratio is predominantly positive, especially with regard to the pizzas. Drinks are also offered at competitive prices (latte macchiato €3.90, 0.75l water bottle €4.90). The pricing policy for vegan or vegetarian salads and soft drinks appears disproportionately overpriced in comparison. The service deserves special mention: competent, attentive and warm, the staff ensures a pleasant quality of experience that stands in remarkable contrast to the physical surroundings. Questions about courts were also answered competently. In summary, Restaurant Adria offers a solid culinary experience for lovers of authentic Neapolitan pizza. This gastronomic strength largely compensates for the aesthetic and spatial weaknesses.

We came to the Adriatic for the first time through the Schlemmerblock. Food is a mix of Croatian and Italian cuisine. We were very, very satisfied with all of the dishes. Service is also very courteous and friendly. Definitely not our last time in the Adriatic!

We didn’t reserve a table... that’s why we were offered to sit at a small table for two people in the sun with an almost empty terrace... when asked if we could change the place since we weren’t comfortable, the girl from the service answered negatively, citing that the chef would be against two people took a place for four... food pre blushing... thanks to the waiter Orlando for his pleasant attitude, his colleagues have a lot to learn from him. Attentive and courteous... Orlando and delicious cuisine... we will come back again. 5 stars

Maybe the wrong day??? We came to the Adriatic with a certain expectation because of the very good reviews. The first impression was very good. A friendly guest room and an extremely friendly lady in service. As fans of Croatian cuisine, we of course ordered a hearty platter of “Dalmacija”. The food came fairly quickly even though the restaurant was full. Visually it looked good, but we were a little disappointed in terms of taste: The meat skewer was well fried, but the taste was a bit bland. The calamari well salted and okay. The Djuvec rice was fairly tasteless, similar to Ayvar. The fries were lightly salted, but good. All in all okay, but not that convincing. However, since the reviews are quite good, we may have just had a bad day and would like to come back for another try and maybe be convinced... 😉

Became aware of the Adria restaurant through the voucher booklet. Just wanted to try something new. Very inconspicuous from the outside. Former wine bar. Rooms are not large, so make sure to reserve. Was received very friendly. There is Croatian and Italian cuisine. Bruschetta as a starter, interpreted a little differently, but very tasty. Main course Rasnici and Cevapcici. Delicious without end. Very tender meat. Fries and rice from the plate. My wife also had grilled vegetables and was thrilled. Everything was also very tasty and well seasoned. Just a little bit of Ajvar. Enjoyed a really good meal and we will definitely come back. Love Croatian cuisine.

We tried mushroom and 4-cheese pizza, sevillecici (very similar to Turkish meatballs), green salad. It was delicious. I especially recommend Sözcücici. There were especially delicious sauces on the plate.

World class food, it was soooooooo GOOD. We had a voucher otherwise we would never have gone there. Already walked past 100 times but never really registered. You have to be honest, it doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside. BUT, very nice restaurant. You guys who work there are super cool, super nice and very attentive. The food was amazing, the meat skewers were awesome, to the point. If you want to eat really good Croatian food, you definitely have to go there. We found a VERY GOOD regular restaurant. It was really very tasty... I almost felt like I was IN HOME 😘🇭🇷 The lignije were also prepared very tasty👍🏾, unfortunately not on the right grill. Also the one with the great napkins and flags 🇭🇷👍🏾💪🏾. 😉Tip to the boss, instead of napkins, make wipeable "place card/underlay things" with the logo and pictures etc. (Such napkins are a shame)🫣 OTHERWISE HVALA VAM PUNO 🫡🇭🇷🫡👍🏾

Beste Restaurant in Würzburg Ich esse sehr gerne Fleisch und Cevapcici und das ist die beste Möglichkeit, wo man die beste Fleisch und die beste Kocher von Balkan gibt. Mjesano meso wie in Heimat.

Service war freundlich, Essen war zwar gut, jedoch für die kleine Portion viel zu teuer. Für 16,50€ sollte man schon satt werden. Die pommes waren leider auch nicht mehr besonders warm und das Fleisch stellenweise leicht verbrannt. Leider nicht sehr überzeugend.

Das Essen war lecker und preislich ist das auch in Ordnung. Kellner war aufmerksam. Wenn wir wieder in Würzburg sind kommen wir gerne vorbei.

Sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet, trotz wenig Betrieb, jedoch war die Priorität der Mitarbeitenden auf das Rauchen fokussiert und nicht auf die Gäste. Das Essen war nichts besonderes und auch nicht fertig, die Pommes waren nicht fertig. Leider für mich keinen weiteren Besuch wert.
