I discovered this restaurant by chance and were absolutely delighted. I've never experienced this kind of cuisine and selection in Germany before. Typical seaside fare. The dishes were perfectly prepared, and the organization and friendliness were top-notch! We'll definitely be back! Keep up the good work!

Lots of great little touches, so there's plenty of variety in the food. We can sit there for hours and enjoy ourselves. It can get quite noisy, especially during the pre-Christmas season. That's why we usually reserve a table at the edge of the room, where it's a bit quieter. Our favorite restaurant!

It was too crowded and too cramped for me.

We hadn't been to Rembetiko before. For the size of the restaurant, there are too few parking spaces. The ambiance has a Mediterranean flair. It's quite large. The staff is very friendly. You should expect to pay around 20-30 euros per person. However, the food is very tasty. The restrooms are really clean. What bothers me is the extreme noise level in the restaurant.

The atmosphere was fantastic; it felt like a marketplace. However, the chairs were terrible, and even the super-thin cushions didn't help. Having to assemble your own food takes some getting used to. The service was friendly and attentive, even though it was busy that evening due to the trade fair. Personally, I found the moussaka too bland; they definitely skimped on the spices, which is why I didn't finish it. This wasn't due to the quantity, but solely to the taste. The pita I ordered on the side was too greasy, and I didn't finish it for the same reason. To me, grilled pita doesn't necessarily mean it's greasy. I specifically avoided the toasted bread slices with garlic because I expected them to be oily. I was really looking forward to my moussaka because I wanted to try something different from gyros or souvlaki, but I regretted it afterward.

Tonight I ate the best octopus ever and experienced the absolutely perfect atmosphere 👌🏼 Plus, the team was super friendly and great. I'll definitely be back, this time with my family.

I've never experienced such an authentic Greek restaurant in Germany as Rembetiko. Inside, you feel like you're in a brightly lit Greek market hall. At the same time, the restaurant exudes typical Hellenic charm thanks to its thoughtful interior design. Aside from the ambiance, Rembetiko truly shines with its culinary experience. The meat dishes are fantastic, and for a reasonable price, you can get an even better meat platter to share. Whether bifteki, souvlaki, or lamb chops – everything is beautifully juicy and perfectly seasoned. The traditional Greek homemade fries were outstanding, and the tzatziki and pita also completely won us over. The grilled octopus at the end was simply the icing on the cake. Children enjoy a complimentary dessert and a separate playroom with all sorts of toys to let off steam. Families with babies will also appreciate the changing room, and there are a few parking spaces available on-site. With such limited capacity, you really need to be lucky to get a table on busy evenings. All in all, this was the only Greek restaurant in Germany where the food tasted exactly like it did in Greece itself.

Due to its size, the restaurant is very noisy, making conversation nearly impossible. Orders were mixed up with those of the next table. The selection is adequate, but we're used to a different experience at a typical Greek restaurant.

The ambiance is absolutely lovely, the food is delicious, the fries are homemade, so everything is top-notch! However, since the restaurant is relatively large, it can get quite noisy, but that didn't really bother us.

We spontaneously decided to have dinner without a reservation. Although the restaurant was very busy (including a large company Christmas party), they were still able to find us a table. Considering the number of guests, we were pleasantly surprised by the very attentive and friendly service. The food, including the appetizers, arrived promptly without any delay and was delicious 😋. The price-performance ratio was excellent, so we would definitely come back.

The food was tasty. I had the stuffed grape leaves, grilled hot peppers, and a mixed grill as a main course. These came without any side dishes. The portion was generous, so I didn't miss the sides. However, we did have to order an extra plate of tzatziki so the mixed grill wouldn't be dry. Unfortunately, there weren't enough staff for the size of the restaurant; we had to keep reminding them about our orders. The ambiance was very nice.

The restaurant is decorated like a Greek market square. It's huge, and when it's full, like it was when we were, the noise level is incredibly high. Despite that, it was cozy. We had a typical "parea" meal with a group of 10. Highly recommended! There was something for everyone, and the selection was fantastic. We would have loved to order more drinks, but unfortunately, the staff were too busy. That's the only reason we deducted one star.

Everything here is just perfect! From the moment you step inside, you feel welcome and are greeted warmly with a genuine smile. The ambiance and dining room are really nicely designed, and there's even a lovely terrace area available for the summer. The noise level in the dining room is a little bothersome, but still acceptable. Anyone expecting a classic plated meal here might be a bit disappointed. Usually, you'd expect either a salad bar or a salad as a starter. Here, you have to put together your dishes from the menu. Among the dishes we ordered was a souvlaki. When the order arrived, we were initially quite surprised by the rather small portion. We received four small skewers without any side dishes, which meant we quickly ordered/had to order an extra portion of tzatziki. As I said, it's not a classic plated meal as you would expect (side dishes, sauces, etc.) – everything is extra. Even those expecting classic fries might be disappointed, which is explicitly stated on the menu: they aren't fries, but they look like them. Taste-wise, they're like undercooked fries—slightly soggy, etc., which works well in combination with the tzatziki. Back to the souvlaki, which initially looked rather modest, turned out to be a flavor explosion. The menu stated it had a fatty crust, which, as we know, is a flavor carrier. The fatty crust was grilled to perfection, making the taste irresistible—a ten out of ten for this souvlaki. All in all, this visit felt almost like a vacation. Only the noise and perhaps the wait times weren't quite to our liking.

The option to add or omit side dishes is a great feature. Complete meals are also available. The menu could use a visual upgrade; everything is in black print, lacking any eye-catching elements. Definitely 5 stars for value! The restaurant is stylish, the staff is excellent, the food we ordered was delicious, and the dessert was truly fantastic.

A Greek friend had invited us. It was a very large restaurant with friendly service and authentic Greek cuisine. As expected, the focus was on meat dishes. As the restaurant fills up, it gets loud. We had mixed appetizers, grilled dishes, and a delicious Greek mocha to finish the meal.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary today with dinner at Rembetiko. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous 😋 (we ordered "Rembetiko for 2") Everything was ready super quickly, and the service was very friendly ❤️ I highly recommend this restaurant ❤️❤️❤️

We happened to have a bite to eat at Rembertiko today. Absolutely delicious – I've never had such a delicious and super-seasoned gyros before. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, the restaurant is huge – we would have loved a bit more cozy. But you can't have everything.

Huge, at least 150 seats. Greek 2.0, so to speak – with a lot of fake traditions, but what the heck? The Italian restaurant around the corner has them too. In the end, it was a lovely evening with good food in a "traditional" atmosphere. So: highly recommended!

We had a business lunch here. It was delicious and the staff was friendly. The ambiance was very nice (with a starry sky and trees). Unfortunately, it was very crowded and the seating was very close together. Therefore, it was quite loud and very warm.

Dining in an atmosphere that's second to none. We held a corporate event here with over 30 people, and everyone was absolutely thrilled with the quality of the products, the friendliness of the staff, and the ambiance. Keep up the good work, we'll definitely be back.

We made a reservation for a birthday. The restaurant was aware of this and asked us for the name of the "birthday child" upon entering, as they wanted to sing for the person. Unfortunately, the waiters didn't congratulate us or sing anything afterward. Even the receptionist, who was aware of this, didn't congratulate us afterward as we left the restaurant. Unfortunately, there was no small gift for the "birthday child" (free ouzo, small cake, etc.). Aside from the incident, the portions were unfortunately far too small considering the value for money. We didn't get enough. Even the fries, which were advertised as potato sticks and which I expected to be homemade potato sticks (fresh potato strips), were just fries – very confusing and disappointing. Furthermore, the doors to the terrace were open the entire evening, and a cool breeze blew through the restaurant. If you just eat and don't move, it's cold and uncomfortable. Despite the beautiful location, the restaurant unfortunately didn't impress in terms of hospitality, taste, or value for money. We probably won't be back again.

Rembetiko Hannover is easily accessible by car, and parking is available; it's best to arrive during opening hours. The menu offers a very good selection, and the food is truly delicious. The restaurant is also ideal for families and children; there's even a small "kids' paradise." Overall, a highly recommended Greek restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere.

We reserved a table at Rebetiko several weeks ago and specifically requested two highchairs, as we were traveling with a nine-month-old and a two-year-old. I asked several times and was assured each time that the highchairs would, of course, be available at the birthday table. On Saturday, our birthday, there were no highchairs available. When I asked, they simply said that another party had taken them – and that they could no longer do anything for us. For us, that meant two small children without suitable seating, even though we had arranged everything clearly and in a timely manner. I find this kind of treatment of guests, especially at a celebration, completely unprofessional. We used to be regulars, but after this experience, we will no longer visit the restaurant and will not recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the Ratskeller, we were able to save our celebration at short notice – they helped us in a friendly and reliable manner. We were very surprised to read your claim that we shouted at other guests or even almost became violent. This account is completely unfounded and in no way reflects reality. Numerous witnesses from our group can confirm that we behaved correctly and respectfully at all times. On the contrary: We found your demeanor to be extremely arrogant and unprofessional. Instead of treating us with respect as customers, we had the impression that you were indifferent to our concerns. For this reason, we decided to leave your establishment and continue our birthday celebration elsewhere. We would like to expressly clarify that we do not plan any further visits to you – neither privately, nor for business purposes, nor for celebrations. Should you nevertheless again claim publicly or in writing that we were aggressive or almost violent, we reserve the right to take legal action for defamation.

I've rarely eaten such tender souvlaki. Delicious. Service was exceptionally friendly. Very, very child-friendly. Highly recommended.

Best restaurant in all of Lower Saxony!

Simply super! The food is excellent, and the atmosphere always gives us a little holiday feeling.

Unfortunately, the prices have become completely exorbitant, in line with demand. To make matters worse, the menu concept requires you to order some dishes individually, which further increases the price. This has become too expensive for us, so we've opted for other restaurants. The quality of the food is good, although we weren't as impressed on our last two visits as we were some time ago. The ambiance is pleasant.

The price/performance ratio is okay. But unfortunately, nothing more. The older lady at the pass should perhaps announce the food a little more quietly. All that shouting gets tiring in the long run. The service was attentive but very inattentive. The ambiance is quite nice. Conclusion: Everything's okay for the price. But don't expect too much.

A superbly authentic Greek restaurant. The decor, service, and food are simply fantastic. You feel like you're in a Greek courtyard under the stars, with a wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. Even if you're full from the delicious food, there's always a heavenly dessert to go with it.

There were five of us there, and we all ordered the Rembetiko menu. It was by far the most delicious Greek food we've ever eaten. From the appetizers and the various meat specialties to the dessert, everything was truly delicious. The service was also very good. The restaurant is really beautiful inside and out and offers plenty of space. The only criticism was that there were an extremely high number of flies at the outdoor seating (sometimes 20-30 per table), which was quite annoying at times. We will definitely be coming back regularly from now on!

We went to Rembetiko Restaurant last night to celebrate our friend's birthday. The food was delicious; we ordered the fish menu. The atmosphere was also very nice, and the staff extremely friendly – kudos to them for that! There is one small drawback, however: Unfortunately, you are not allowed to take leftover food with you. There were seven of us, so we all took the set menu, and that left us with quite a bit. Since we didn't reorder anything, we would have appreciated being allowed to at least take what was already on the table. It's a shame that this food is thrown away. Overall, however, we had a very pleasant evening and can recommend the restaurant – hence, 4 out of 5 stars.

An absolute recommendation. Despite the size of the restaurant, it has an appealingly cozy atmosphere. You get a bit of a vacation feeling. We had the Rembetiko menu and it was incredibly delicious. Great appetizers, the meat in the main course was perfect, and the dessert rounded off the whole experience. Being able to try so many different dishes was truly amazing. The high quality of the dishes is particularly noteworthy. This has absolutely nothing to do with the "standard Greek" you're used to. The food here, at Rembetiko, is by far the best Greek food I've had in Germany so far. Thank you for the lovely evening and the good and attentive service.

Highly recommended. I enjoyed every bite of the food. The chilled drinks were delicious. The only minor disappointment was the abrupt closing at 10:00 PM on a Friday night. I think this could have been communicated better beforehand. We would be happy to come back.

Yes, cozy atmosphere, good Greek food.

A fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, that was 2020. We were there yesterday for a buffet meal; the food was good, except for the gyro, which was too dry. The buffet concept has to be said: unparalleled waste. First, cold and warm appetizers are brought out, followed by grilled dishes and side dishes (not the usual way of going to the buffet and helping yourself). You can then reorder whatever you liked. The food we were brought out to try was so much that we couldn't finish it. Our request to pack up the leftovers was declined, with the comment that this would be noted on the menu. That's true, and it would probably be exploited if they would pack up reordered dishes. But they could at least give the "basic offering" if the guest didn't manage to finish it. Throwing it away is a bad solution! Apparently, the leftovers are given to farmers who use them as pig feed. I doubt that, after all, the food also contains spices that wouldn't be good for the animals. Dear Rembetiko team, please consider whether it wouldn't make more sense to offer smaller sample portions so that less food has to be wasted. Or take a look at the buffet concept at the IchiBan sushi restaurant near Aegi. There, small portions are ordered on trays and brought to the table. Anyone who orders too much and doesn't finish it all has to pay an extra €1 per portion. It's a shame to throw away food!!!

We heard about this restaurant from my Greek colleague. We're happy to make the one-hour drive for it. Because if you want typical Greek food, you simply MUST go here! Away from the Germanized Metaxa sauce Greeks... into the holiday feeling. We've been here several times now with various friends, and everyone was absolutely thrilled. It's best to order the Rembetiko menu with several people. Various dishes are served for you to try, and most can always be ordered later. At the end, there's dessert to round things off! We'll be back again and again!

We had the table buffet for 9 people today. This was a recommendation from the waiter. You get two tables packed with different items, and you can reorder everything, with a few exceptions, at no extra charge. It was very tasty. Service was good, but they didn't ask for anything. You always had to signal. But when we arrived, it was still busy. Overall, highly recommended. The charming atmosphere is particularly nice.

We chose the table buffet, which is perfect for a larger group. Unfortunately, the service wasn't as attentive. Otherwise, everything is highly recommended.

A huge restaurant with a market-like atmosphere – although the restaurant is very busy and almost always full, the service is excellent. The staff is friendly and you are served quickly. Drinks and food also arrive promptly. We ordered a "platter for two" for three people and asked if that would be okay because we weren't that hungry. The waiter immediately said that the portions were quite generous. It would definitely be enough, otherwise you'll have to order more. I thought that was great and accommodating. Most people are quick to talk you into ordering an extra dish. On a later visit, we had the buffet at our table, which was connected to a very large group. It went really well. The only thing was the noise level, but that's probably due to the restaurant's popularity.

We went to Rembetiko for the first time yesterday and were truly impressed. Even though we were there on a recommendation and had a positive attitude, we were still surprised. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the food is absolutely delicious, and the ambiance is truly special. The value for money is also top-notch! The only downside is that the noise level is a bit high, but we were happy to turn a blind eye to that. More than just "going out to eat" 😊

Delicious Greek food. Service was friendly and attentive, although on the terrace, you could sometimes get a dry throat from the drinks. Delicious, refreshing octopus salad, a large mixed grill, and a delicious liver pan. The only boring thing was the ready-made ice cream with whipped cream for dessert. But the other desserts are probably handmade and better.

However, the food lacked that certain something. We've already visited many Greek restaurants in Hanover and therefore believe we have a fairly good comparison in terms of quality. Unfortunately, in a direct comparison, Rembetiko falls a bit short for us.

Highly recommended. The atmosphere in the restaurant is as if you were sitting on the terrace of a taverna in Greece. Very well done. The food is good. The ability to order lots of small things and share the food is great. Service is very good, requests are addressed and taken into consideration. A warm warm welcome from the owner is guaranteed. Even if the restaurant is full, a solution will be found and a table will be provided. And of course you can't miss the Ouso on the house.

There is traditional Greek cuisine, not adapted to Germany, but is indicated on the menu and by the staff. The whole thing added to the holiday feeling.
