It seemed to us like we were in a canteen with mass processing. Unfortunately we didn't receive the table as ordered. The food was served like in a snack bar. Unfortunately, the tzatziki was too salty and the meat was swimming in fat.

The food was well prepared and very flavorful. Great service. It's a shame that there are only seats outside that are directly on the street. Gladly again.

We fell for a lot of positive reviews. But here it's strange, either the reviews are bought or the visitors to this place don't care about the quality. The interior is good, but not great. But the food is very inedible, so much so that you don't want to eat. The service is good, but is it necessary?

I'm really disappointed, I was there with a group of several people and the door was simply closed, even though Google said it was open. We drove an extra 50 km. It's a real shame that something like that isn't stated.

The shop looks very nice but the food is unfortunately below average. We went there because of the good reviews, but we can't confirm them. First of all, the portions are very small, expensive, bland in taste and hardly seasoned. The homemade dolmadakia (according to the menu) are definitely canned! This is not how homemade dolmadakia taste (these tasted exactly like the ones from Lidl). The calamari was inedible. The best part of the meal was the bread. Unfortunately, the service was also not accommodating. If you want authentic Greek cuisine, you've come to the wrong place.

Best Greek cuisine in Hanover!!!

I called there on June 30, 2024 to reserve a table for two people and was greeted very friendly on the phone. When we entered the restaurant, we were also warmly welcomed and accompanied to the table by a very friendly employee. After studying the menu (which I think is very extensive) our order was taken. Our food was very tasty, prepared (typically for the country) and, in my opinion, of very good quality. The staff were very attentive and tried to ask questions (not intrusively) whether everything is ok The seating is always criticized in the comments. This can certainly be discussed, but that is also typical for the country. Conclusion : It was a very nice evening that we spent there in a very good atmosphere, very good food and very friendly staff. We'd love to come back!!

We were greeted very pleasantly and courteously, but were very impressed by the size of the restaurant. Things are very lively there; Conversations may be difficult to have because of the volume. The menu for two people was recommended to us, and a special request was also taken into account. The food came quickly and the portions were generous. We will definitely recommend the restaurant.

Very disinfectant, the fries were full of oil and the bifteki was dry and burnt. I can't recommend it more!

We went to Rembetiko for the first time today. This restaurant is second to none. The size of the restaurant seems overwhelming at first, but top service, incredibly good, genuinely Greek food and, despite its size, cozy. Here you really feel like you are in Greece. Undoubtedly the best Greek restaurant in Hanover. The seafood is always fresh and never disappoints. The grilled dishes are delicious. We are always very satisfied with each visit due to the impeccable service. It's ideal for families with children because the kids' menu orders are prepared at lightning speed. The decor is stunning, making you feel like you are dining on a tree-lined street on a starry summer evening. It's a place where you must forget about your diet for a day. There’s a car park area, and you can also park on the nearby street. Bon appétit!

We were invited to a celebration there and sat in a separate room. The rest of the restaurant is very large and seems very busy. The food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly.

Rembetiko is alive and well and is our number 1 Greek restaurant in Hanover. We really like the concept and the food here is authentic. No matter how busy it is, service is very important here. We are always happy here and love it. You just have to come here and enjoy life. The atmosphere is more than perfect, you are almost in Greece, only when you stand outside the door do you know that it is not like that.

Buffet for 4 people 35 euros per person with fish. All I can say is that everything was super fresh and tasty. Everything from antipasti with a second helping, then the main courses also with a second helping and finally the dessert. Price-performance unbeatable in Hanover and everything really has its own taste, from the salad to the meat and fish, everything is excellently prepared. You have to stop by there.

Great and exceptional Greek. The interior lets you travel straight to Greece…. The food is very high quality, although I have to say that the quality of the meat sometimes varies. The staff is sometimes quick and sometimes less quick, regardless of whether there is a lot or little going on. The well-known ouzo is not always offered. Sometimes you don't get one. I can't explain why that is 😅 In any case, the visit is a must in Hanover. If you weren't here, you missed something.

We were invited to Rembetiko for a family celebration. It was the Oberhammer. The ambience is so magical and decorated with a lot of love. The entire team was more than helpful and super friendly. We were really excited. But then came the food - unique, truly fantastic. If we could, we would give a 6th star for the food. This was our first visit to Rembetiko and, despite a journey of almost 100 kilometers, it will not be our last visit. :-)

The food is super delicious. Note on my 6 year old review. The food is still great! I now enjoy eating there with the whole family at irregular intervals. Because everyone is always very happy.

Once upon a time there was a small, cozy Greek restaurant around the corner. The hospitality was present right at the entrance right down to the Ouzo bottle, which was reserved for friends, not just good friends. If you preferred rice instead of fries or coleslaw instead of leaves, you got what you liked. But this Greek dish was so delicious, so irresistible, that word got around throughout the city and even in the district and it had to be grown. Now almost 400 guests can fit in the open-plan restaurant, food is - yes, still tasty - but prepared in piecemeal, the side dishes are mechanically placed on the never-ending flood of plates and a background noise is created, like in the stadium in '96. No problem at all, the food tastes good, the prices correspond to the good quality and the ambience - yes, the ambience - has become a victim of success. Maybe it's at the other little Greek somewhere around the corner!

Been there for the first time, I'm really excited!!! Everything was really right, quality, taste and preparation of the food, ambience, service... Portions are huge with the platter for 2 and hard to manage even if you're very hungry. Starter and dessert also great. Nothing here comes from the freezer, everything tastes homemade, from the antipasti to the homemade fries 😍 And definitely try the (also homemade) calamares!!! The best I've eaten so far 😌😋 We will come again 🌞

I report here for my entire group. Food was good overall. Everything was fine for me, for the others it could have been a little better here and there. Unfortunately there are only 3 types of ice cream available. Of these, only lemon is gluten-free. GLUTEN-FREE food is possible, so a lot of effort is made to offer a variety of things. I can't say exactly how things are separated in the kitchen. But you can ask. Because service is very helpful and friendly. The child was given something to paint with the promise of ice cream if the picture was colored and then handed in. One or two waiters could appear a little more motivated at work. Nice ambience. Rustic. Very large games room. Huge dining room with lots of tables and unfortunately not really big trees.

It was a short vacation in a typical place in Greece, thank you for that. I have rarely eaten and drunk such authentic Greek food. From the wine glass to the carafes and the design of the ambience, everything is very authentic.

After a long day of meetings, our hosts invited us to Rembetiko. Finding a restaurant for around 30 people that can deliver quickly, on time and tastefully is a challenge that Rembetiko took on. In summary, it was an excellent evening; the atmosphere immediately captivated me. The partially open kitchen, together with the market-like displays, were a real treat for the head, soul and later also the stomach. After the meal I was able to speak briefly with the manager (νοννα). I was supposed to bring greetings from Greek friends from western Germany, also restaurant owners, to Rembetiko. The friends had seen the restaurant on Greek television. Thanks again to Nonna for taking the time and sending a short greeting to Aachen. I feel very welcome there and recommend this restaurant at any time. Ευχαριστώ και τα λέμε

As long-time experts in the catering industry, we know that a high standard of customer service is of great importance. Unfortunately, our visit that evening did not live up to our expectations in this regard. Despite a slight delay on our part, the waiting times for the order were an unusually long 45 minutes. When I ordered an Aperol, I was disappointed that the drink didn't have the taste I expected and later learned from a staff member that it was a pre-made mix. The service was inadequate as the waiter rarely appeared at our table and neither offered us additional drinks nor asked if we were satisfied with the food. Unfortunately our main course contained a lemon that had already been used and the fries were raw. Although we reported these deficiencies to the waiter, the response was not appropriate as only a new lemon was offered. A previous review noted that we may prefer other restaurants that offer Greek cuisine. This is not a competition but a personal preference as we value different dining experiences. Despite several face-to-face discussions about issues experienced, management appears to have difficulty accepting constructive criticism and responding appropriately. We still hope that you continue to be successful and send us kind regards. Dear owner, You have the option to either ask a question or not ask one. I am available to answer both of your questions. In another review you mentioned me as a "competitor" so I feel it's appropriate to respond to that. It is important to note that all six people were disappointed that evening. This is particularly unfortunate since we also raised the issue on site when we left the restaurant. As soon as we arrived we told the waiter that we were waiting for another couple. Even though this arrived after 15 minutes, we had to wait another 45 minutes before we could order. This was only possible because I reached out to you personally, if you remember ;-) We also took the initiative the second time to be served and receive additional drinks, but we were referred to our designated waiter. It would be extremely helpful for you and the customer if work is done on internal communication, responsibilities and processes. We would also like to thank you for acknowledging your comment regarding the other gentleman. Even though he comes from a different gastronomy sector, he is very happy that you see him as a competitor. However, I would like to point out that he does not consider you a competitor if you understand what he means ;-) It's unfortunate to see how you handle constructive feedback. 2021-2024 Unfortunately, over the last three years the quality of service has deteriorated. We've tried it three times now, and today we had to wait an hour before we could order food. We were there for almost two hours, in those two hours we were only asked once for drinks, and unfortunately we weren't asked if we wanted coffee or something similar when it came to dessert. The service on our last visit was unfortunately very poor. 2020 The authentic Greek atmosphere of this restaurant has always impressed me, as have most of my previous visits. The ambience and the friendly staff are still a big plus. However, I have to say that the quality of the food was a bit disappointing on our last two visits. I've enjoyed great meals here in the past, but unfortunately recent experiences didn't measure up. I sincerely hope that the restaurant can fix these issues regarding the quality of the food as I remain a big fan of the atmosphere and the welcoming staff. I give the restaurant four stars in the hope that the dining experience improves again.

Einfach der Hammer! Seit ich das erste Mal im Juni 2023 dort war ist es zu meinem absoluten Lieblingsrestaurant geworden. Das Essen ist einfach himmlisch, der Service super nett und das Ambiente einfach ein Traum. Kann ich jedem weiterempfehlen!

We really liked the taste of the Rembetiko, both the starters and the main courses and the dessert were fresh, well seasoned and tasty. Nevertheless, there is a 1 star deduction because 1. the fries we ordered were totally greasy, a new portion was supposed to be brought, but was forgotten. 2. The starter plates were not cleared and had to be stacked at the table. No new cutlery was brought either. 3. The restaurant is perfect for large groups, but there is only one vegetarian main course. Very unfortunate. There is a dedicated parking lot right next to the restaurant and you can easily find parking in the surrounding area.

A piece of Greece in the heart of the city - Rembetiko impresses with its taste and ambience! The food in the Greek restaurant Rembetiko is excellent, and the ambience literally transports you to a Greek island. The outstanding atmosphere makes you feel like you're on vacation for a day. Unfortunately, it's noticeable that the music is missing, which is particularly strange since the restaurant has the name Rembetiko, which is usually associated with music. Despite this small flaw, the spaciousness of the restaurant makes it perfect for larger groups. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, I strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. Even during the week it can get very busy, which speaks to the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Overall, a worthwhile visit to lose yourself in culinary delights in Greece - with the exception of the missing musical accompaniment.

I reserved a table there online and it was confirmed an hour later. Shortly before we wanted to leave to go there, our reservation was canceled! It's a shame and unfortunately incomprehensible to me. It's good that Hanover has other good restaurants.

Wir hatten ein Essen für 4 Personen bei dem nachbestellt werden könnte, soviel man wollte ( nur Fleisch). Alles war lecker, besonders der Schafskäse! Und eigentlich war so schon alles ausreichend. Unsere Bedienung war super nett und lustig und sehr aufmerksam. Wir fühlten uns gut versorgt. Es ist halt ein bisschen laut, aber das weiß man ja, wenn man dort hingeht.

Spitzenmäßiges Essen und tolles Ambiente. Leider ein sehr lauter störender und teilweise hallender Geräuschpegel. Das Restaurant ist sonst bei Freunden der griechischen Küche sehr zu empfehlen.

Ich war gestern anlässlich einer Geburtstagsfeier zum ersten Mal im Rembetiko. Es war der Hammer. Das Essen hat mega geschmeckt, der Service war toll und zudem war es dort sehr gut geheizt. Ich weiß nicht, wieviele Plätze diese Lokation bietet..... kann es nicht einschätzen. (200 ??). Auf jeden Fall gab es keinen einzigen freien Platz mehr u wir hatten unseren gemütlichen Raum fuer uns. Trotz dieser "unzählig" vielen Plätze im Hauptrestaurant war auch dort eine nette Atmosphäre. Ich komme bad wieder. Es schmeckt mir immer noch..... 🎉😊

Eine tolle Atmosphäre..Preis/Leistung stimmen, so wie die authentisch griechische Küche..habe das Restaurant zufällig bei Facebook entdeckt, wurde durch die Beiträge neugierig und wir haben zu viert heute gerne die eine Stunde Fahrzeit in Anspruch genommen und werden gerne wieder kommen..sende Euch kollegiale Grüße..

Das Rembetiko Restaurant in Hannover hat mich restlos begeistert! Das Essen war nicht nur überaus schmackhaft, sondern auch von herausragender Qualität. Besonders positiv möchte ich hervorheben, dass der Ort bestens für Familien mit Kindern geeignet ist. Der integrierte Spielraum ermöglicht es den Kleinen, in einer ruhigen Umgebung zu spielen, während die Erwachsenen die köstlichen Speisen genießen können. Die süßen Leckereien haben ebenfalls meinen Gaumen verwöhnt. Zudem beeindruckte mich die geschmackvolle Inneneinrichtung des Restaurants. Eine rundum gelungene Erfahrung, die ich gerne weiterempfehle!
