Die Filetspitzen waren perfekt. Einzig die Wartezeit war ein wenig lang, aber noch ok.

Ich war mittags hier und hatte das business Lunch Menü - einfach hervorragend. Tolle Bedienung die sehr aufmerksam ist. Ruhiges, entspanntes und gemütliches Ambiente. Komme sehr gern wieder :)

Das Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet. Das Personal ist freundlich und der Service schnell. Das Essen kam zügig und war perfekt zubereitet. Alle Gerichte waren köstlich und appetitlich. Genießen Sie Ihren Besuch! 😋

Das Steak ist gut, aber etwas überteuert.

Dann fang ich mal an, da wir in Nürnberg alles probiert haben kurzfristig einen Tisch für zwei zum Steak essen zu bekommen, viel mir von einem Kunden, die Empfehlung für das Rauchfang ein….und ich muss sagen, wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, angefangen von der Reservierung, die Tischwahl, mit Blick auf dem Grill, das Mega Fleisch😍, das Ambiente und der Service….zum Schluß noch ein tolles Gespräch am Tisch mit dem Chef geführt….ganz stark, waren hier zum ersten Mal und werden wieder kommen, besten Dank, bis dahin Lg A&J

Wir lieben dieses Restaurant! Das Essen ist immer perfekt, die Steaks sind immer genau so zubereitet, wie wir sie mögen, und der Service ist hervorragend. Es ist unser Lieblingsrestaurant für Familienessen oder größere Gruppen, sei es zu Weihnachten oder Geburtstagen.

Bestes Steak ever ... wir sind hier jeden Monat für unseren Männerabend. Man fühlt sich Wie zu Hause. Viele Grüße Gilles, Chris & Michi

Einfach geil! Was soll man hier noch sagen. Personal super freundlich, der Chef selbst kundenorientiert. Essen immer auf den Punkt genau ! Nichts für den kleineren Geldbeutel aber gerechtfertigt :) Qualität hat seinen Preis ! Wir kommen sehr gerne und das auch öfter! Die gemütliche Atmosphäre lässt einen auch sehr wohl fühlen. - Danke an euch !

Nettes kleines Steakhaus mit verschiedenen Steakvarianten. Auf den Punkt nach Wunsch gegart. Geschmacklich a Wahnsinn. Hab leider keine Fotos gemacht, da ich essen musste 😅 Kann ich jedem nur Empfehlen wer mal in Erlangen ist.

Genialer Gaumenschmaus, wie immer..... schönes Ambiente. Super nettes Personal

Super Geiles Essen! Chef (der Alex) genau so wie alle Bedienungen sind super! Weiter so!! Schnecken, Beilagen und argentinisches Rinderfilet waren nicht zu toppen. Ich hatte ein Dry-Aged Filet von der fränkischen Färse. Geil!! Allerdings fande ich die Getränkepreise etwas zu hoch, das Dessert nicht dem Rest entsprechend und die Parkplatzpflaster nicht zum ganzen Rest passend. Kritik auf hohem Niveau, ich weiß! Aber zu besonderen Anlässen immer wieder gerne! Januar 26': total begeistert gewesen... Mann kann hier auch für nen Hunni zu Zweit richtig gut Essen und nen schönen Abend haben. Da ich ja immer auch Preis/Leistung bewerte jetzt eine klare 5 von 5.

Zur Vorgeschichte. Ich bin der Typ Mensch, ohne Parkplatz gehe ich da nicht hin. Ich suche nicht 'stundenlang' danach. Ich erwarte einfach einen. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel verweigere ich in Dörfern wie Erlangen aus Prinzip. Deshalb war es einem Versehen geschuldet das ich hier gelandet bin. Trotz meiner persönlichen negativen Vorspannung war ich abschlissend rundherum zufrieden. Das Restaurant konnte mich mit seiner Leistung überzeugen. Preisilich gehoben (daran messe ich die vergeben Sterne), doch geschmacklich gut. Fleischqualität auch gut . Ambiente...hm, aber ok. Inzwischen habe ich gelernt es hätte was zum parken gegeben...Somit steht einem weiteren Besuch nichts in meinem Wege.

Es war super lecker! Freuen uns aufs nächste Mal :)

Sehr nettes Personal das einen tollen Service geleistet hat. Steak war sehr gut und für die Größe (400g Ribeye) zu einem fairen Preis (46€), Beilagen und Chimichurri zum Steak waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Das Tatar als Vorspeise hat seine eigene Art war nicht ganz mein Geschmack. Overall sehr guter Besuch und absolute Empfehlung! Komme gerne wieder.

Steaks auf den Punkt! Top! Etwas teurer aber sehr gute Qualität und durchaus gerechtfertigt. Gerne wieder. Ergänzung 17.12.2025: Essen wieder top auf den Punkt allerdings hätte ich mir ein bisschen mehr Kundenfreundlichkeit gewünscht, sicherlich gibt es gesetzliche Regelungen bzgl. Gültigkeit von Gutscheinen und auch die 7 Jahre die wohl scheinbar noch i.O. gewesen wären sind großzügig gemeint aber einen Gutschein der dann doch etwas länger lag (2014) aber für den schließlich die 70€ auch bezahlt und kassiert wurden einfach gar nicht mehr zu akzeptieren und keinerlei Entgegenkommen und wenn auch nur irgendwie anteilig anzurechnen, Getränke oder irgendetwas finde ich sehr befremdlich. Das gerne wieder muss ich daher leider revidieren und kostet 2Sterne. Ergänzung 21.12.2025: Sie sollten schon richtig lesen ich habe nicht unfreundlich sondern ein bisschen MEHR Kundenfreundlichkeit und sehr befremdlich geschrieben. Auch mir war klar dass ich sowas als Antwort erhalte. Kritikfähigkeit kann man hier leider nicht bewerten.

Wir waren vor eine Woche mit Bekannten im Rauchfang zum Essen. Top Qualität super Service alles hat 100-prozentig gepasst. Weiter so.

We celebrated my nephew's birthday on December 5th. Despite the restaurant being full, they managed to find us a fifth seat at the table for an extra guest. The food was first-class, just like last year, and the service was simply excellent. Polite, friendly, and helpful. It was very busy, but at no point did they feel stressed. I will gladly return.

We went to the "Rauchfang" with friends for a steak dinner this weekend. We sat at a table for four near the back of the restaurant. The nice thing is that the atmosphere is pleasant and quiet. Our drinks were brought quickly, and after they were brought, our food orders were taken. Everything was served in a pleasant, friendly manner. No fake friendliness, just honesty. A quick "How's it? Good? OK – carry on..." from the chef is enough to bring a smile to your face. Although everyone had ordered something different, all four dishes arrived at the table at the same time. A testament to the good organization in the kitchen and on the grill, which is manned and staffed by the chef himself with the fresh steaks. My 200g fillet steak was a dream – cooked medium-rare on request, it was cooked to just the right degree. The open beechwood grill gave the meat a strong roasted aroma on the outside, while the meat was tender pink and buttery soft on the inside. It's been a long time since I've had such an excellent steak. As a side dish, I had the baked potato with sour cream and bacon-flavored beans, which complemented it wonderfully. It goes without saying that such a treat can't be offered at a discount price. But for those who appreciate good food, it's worth it. We'll be back – that's for sure.

Hi everyone, I visited Rauchfang for the first time today – and I'm absolutely thrilled. Grilling over an open fire, meat kissed by the flames: that's exactly how meat should be prepared. My entrecôte, cooked medium-rare, had a fantastic smoky aroma. I ordered fried potatoes as a side dish, and you can immediately tell that someone here knows their craft: evenly golden brown, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. This is how fried potatoes should taste. A small bowl of chimichurri – made according to an original Argentinian grandmother's recipe, as the owner, Alexander, told us during a little chat – perfectly complemented the meal. AMAZING FOOD!!! My wife and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here in 2021 and have been coming back for dinner about once a month ever since! The value for money is absolutely perfect, the service team caters to every request, making the whole meal a truly special experience!! The person behind the grill clearly loves their job and prepares the food with genuine passion! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU LIKE MEAT!!!!

Cozy and unpretentious. A beautiful piece of meat and good service. Lovely outdoor seating in the summer. Great atmosphere. A regular stop whenever I visit Erlangen. Always the first restaurant I visit. It was delicious again this time. Best spot in the restaurant: table 13, directly across from the grill. The meat was perfect again, and the spinach with onion and garlic was delicious. Always make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

We ate there today and I highly recommend it to everyone. The steak I had was cooked to perfection, medium rare. Exactly how I wanted it. The service was very friendly. They came by several times to ask if everything was okay and if we needed anything else. The price was also completely reasonable.

The restaurant is amazing! It was the best grilled steak I've ever eaten! The service is absolutely first-class, and so is the owner, of course! The rump steak was cooked to perfection and simply perfect! The beans with bacon were also delicious and rounded off the meal wonderfully. I would especially like to emphasize the friendly and attentive service – you feel truly welcome here. Highly recommended!

Instead of a rib-eye steak for €65, there's a steak made entirely of fat. I've rarely had worse meat.

The meat was cooked just right, and the side dishes were delicious (potato gratin and roasted onions). The homemade summer lemonades were particularly refreshing and delicious. We'd be happy to come back.

The snails as appetizer were good and the steaks are made table side (we were lucky with our seats) over a fire. Best steak I've had in a long time, can only reccommend.

We were thrilled the first time. The food was very tasty, the service was good and we had a good time. The second time we sat so that we could clearly see the cook at the fire. Unfortunately I have to say that I was quite shocked to see that he was pushing the food from the bowl in the kitchen onto our plates with his bare hands. I had the Argentinian top rump steak with fries and a chocolate soufflé. The steak was well done and was extremely tender. The chocolate soufflé had vanilla ice cream on top but was still nice and warm. Overall it was great but because of the price you should only go on special occasions.

I was here many years ago and the positive memory was confirmed. Very attentive service, great food, feel-good atmosphere and a reasonable price. Eating steak has never been a cheap pleasure, but it is all the more important that the trimmings are right. Thanks for the great evening.

The Rauchfang restaurant is an absolute insider tip! From the moment you enter you feel completely comfortable. The ambience is tasteful and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The menu impresses with a great selection of dishes that combines creative cuisine with regional influences. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the loving preparation. Every bite was a delight! The service also deserves high praise: attentive, friendly and always there without being intrusive. Here you can see that real hospitality is practiced. The Rauchfang exceeded my expectations and I can only recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food and a great ambience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Top level Steakhouse. From the outside it seemed like a normal German restaurant but it’s really an excellent, international style steak house. Service is extremely friendly and all the servers we spoke to had fantastic English. Steaks are great value and carefully cooked and sourced. The chef clearly knows what he is doing and makes the most of a wood fired oven pit. Dessert options were awesome. The Creme brûlée with pear sorbet was delicious and delicate. If you’re in the mood for steak, this is a must-visit if you’re in Erlangen or even Nuremberg area.

Even when we came by without a reservation, we were promptly assigned a table despite the house being full. The service is really top. The food also impresses with its expected quality. Here and there the chef gets a little fancy (e.g. with the tartare) but that's complaining at a high level! Really a great place to go if you need something special. We always enjoy coming back and recommend it accordingly!

I would like to give six stars for the service, because the guest is king here. Everything was just first class. You can watch the boss grilling and the ambience is just great, very nicely decorated. The steaks and fillet tips are simply great and the boss is not above apologizing for a small mistake on his part and compensating us with free apple fritters. Really great, we'll definitely be back! Ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Standardausstattung und gutes Ambiente. Bedienung freundlich und schnell aber mann muss ca. 1 Stunde auf das Essen warten. Die Salate sind frisch und knackig. Die Steaks schmecken sehr gut. Ebenfalls die Beilagen. Preise sind etwas über dem Durchschnitt aber es lohnt sich. Auf jeden Fall sehr empfehlenswert.
