Found the restaurant via Google for lunch. The food was sensational!!

We went there for dinner for the first time and were 8 people. The restaurant was very busy, but it was pleasantly quiet, without a lot of background noise. We were welcomed and shared 2 mixed starter plates and naan bread and it was very tasty. For the main courses we had a large platter for 2 and each other a dish, which was a lot and was then packed up for us to take away. We were more than satisfied with the service and food, would go there again, but then order together or less because the portions are large

Very good Indian food with traditional spices. The spiciness is slightly adapted to the German palate. Price/performance is really right here!

Great Indian restaurant, I like spicy food and got a vegetarian curry dish with rice and Papadum as a starter, I selected medium hot as it can easily get too much. I don't drink alcohol, so I got a sparkling water.

Coming from a part of the US with a heavy Indo-Pak population, I was surprised by the authentic flavors. While the menu is quite extensive, everything we ordered was great.

Really good Indian dishes, so authentic. Best Indian I've ever had. Had Jalfrezi Curry and Makhani Curry (Butter Curry). Next level!! Really good spices, they are very generous with it, but also spices i have never seen in Indian dishes. What an experience. Good service, and sitting outside was great.

The service is not friendly and the manager thinks that he can fool his customers. Food is average and you can find better Indian food with far better service and ambience in Erlangen. Not recommended if you want to have a pleasant dine in experience.

Ordered Catering about 2 years ago, we ordered a big amount of chicken biryani for about 50 people. Only they delivered biryani with barely any meat, mainly bones and tasteless rice. When we complained about it they told us the meat melted into the rice, like we're idiots and like we're not Indians who know how to cook biryani better. Basically very cheap and dishonest owners, who don't mind cheating their customers. Never again.

A good Indian restaurant in Erlangen. The restaurant is warm, the dish was good but there were a lot of mosquitoes on the terrace.

It was simply sensational! We are very happy to have been here on a very special evening because it simply made the entire evening perfect! The waitresses and everyone from the team were extremely accommodating and read our every wish ❤️ thanks to the Sangam team!!

Very very tasty, but... Unfortunately, the restaurant has declined somewhat in recent years: the menu is no longer as chic as it used to be: a few years ago it was a book with solid pages and photos of some dishes, today carelessly written together. A few years ago cloth napkins, today disposable napkins. A few years ago 2 whole papadams were given as a greeting from the house, today only 1.5 slices. In my opinion, saving money is a misguided approach. A pity! The food is still very tasty and definitely recommended!

We are repeat offenders at the Sangam! The food is absolutely delicious, the service is friendly and the prices are (still) acceptable. In summer you can sit outside wonderfully, but the ambience inside is also very nice, although it can get quite loud when full. Attached are a few photos from the last visit. Very bad service kitchen peas had no taste (old sour) we didn't eat it but still got a bill. other food tasted as sweet as sweet no taste of Indian spices. end bill 150€ for expensive fun. Would never go there.

Everything a customer could want in a restaurant: the food is impeccable and served on time, the taste is authentic and varied (not just the same spices in all dishes), the friendliness of the waiters is remarkable (rare to find these days), all the rooms are clean and there is enough parking space. Congratulations!

We arrived at 2:25 p.m. to order takeout and were grateful because we were served just before lunch time. We ordered vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as a pashawari naan. Unfortunately, it turned out at home that a keema filled with lamb had been made for us instead. Such a shame!

Incredibly delicious butter chicken and garlic naan, really great.

This place has never disappointed me with regards to any dishes I have ordered. I am an Indian and the taste and flovour of each and every dish is just authentic. I tried Rara chicken and chicken biryani as part of dinner. Another day me and my husband had been there for Mittagsmenu and the chicken dishes chick Jalfrezi and malai kebab and tikka masala chicken was just too delicious. The service is also fast and staff is very prompt and hospitable. Definitely recommended to anybody who wants to taste authentic Indian food.

Unfortunately the price has gone up, but that's the case everywhere. We go a little too often, it tastes good. Lunch is also good.

All the employees are super nice, so you feel right at home. Every food we have tried so far has tasted delicious. There is also a decent selection for vegetarians and vegans. Another big plus is the table set with cloth napkins. All in all, from the food to the service, a worthwhile visit.

Mega if there is good and tasty local cuisine then here!! We were there in a large group and ordered up and down the menu. Everything was tip top 👍 fast, friendly service and lots of fresh ingredients. For us vegans there was a lot to choose from, we'll be back.

We came here spontaneously after a visit, mainly because we couldn't find a parking space anywhere else. We were positively impressed as soon as we walked in, the garden area was very invitingly lit despite the wintry temperatures, and the restaurant itself is warmly and friendly decorated. Three people from the staff welcomed us very politely. The rest of the service was excellent, fast and unusually friendly, the food was just as delicious and plentiful. We are thrilled and would be happy to come back.

I can't understand the hype here at all, but as we all know, tastes differ. Well, if it were just about taste, I would have understood that, but nothing works here. I decided on the homemade cheese, when I asked what the cheese tasted like, unfortunately they couldn't tell me, I then asked again is the cheese mild or spicy, the waiter thought about it for a moment and then he simply said yes, yes it is spicy. What I got didn't taste like anything, the cheese had no taste at all, even my girlfriend confirmed that. But the worst thing was when the waiter brought my plate, his thumb is on the plate, fingerprints on the plate are not possible. I don't have to have that anymore.

I highly recommend Sangam Restaurant in Erlangen as the ultimate Indian dining spot. I have visited it more than five times and enthusiastically suggest it, especially for students. Among the delightful dishes, the Fish Tawa fry and Chicken 65 stand out with generous portion sizes, easily serving two people. The Chicken Curry or Fish Curry paired with Garlic Naan is a delightful combination – ordering just one is likely sufficient. In my view, no other restaurant in Erlangen matches Sangam in terms of portion generosity. It's undoubtedly the premier choice in town – don't hesitate to give it a try! A special shoutout to Raja, who has been a stalwart at the restaurant for many years. Every time I visit, he recommends the best dishes tailored to my preferences, and it has never disappointed. The food they serve is impeccably authentic, and it's the way they treat us that keeps me returning. Give their place a try; it's definitely worth the visit and money.

Very tasty Indian food, very large selection - including vegan and vegetarian dishes.

We were here on a Wednesday. It definitely makes sense to reserve a table in advance. The tables are quite close together. The waiters are very quick and attentive. The mango chicken was very good and the naan bread was also really good. Unfortunately, the crispy duck with masala sauce was a bit too spicy to enjoy perfectly. But that's more up to us. Although a note on the map would have been good. The tables inside can only be reached by stairs.

For me it's the best Indian restaurant in Erlangen and I eat a lot of Indian food. The palak paneer in particular is incredible and I have never had such good naan.

I was a guest with my wife, who is of Indian descent. And we both thought the food was fantastic! The Tandoori chicken has a wonderfully smoky taste and the spices are very authentic. Many thanks to Raja and his team for ten great services! We'll definitely be back!

Excellent service!! The food quality is also surprisingly amazing! We went there with our little kid (with stroller and all) and no reservations, but their team was so amazing and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. Gave us a nice space to eat, everyone was attentive to our needs especially with our child, and didn't mind the mess we left behind (we intended to clean up our kid's mess but they offered to take care of it). The only challenging thing for us was finding the right entrance to the restaurant 😀 Otherwise we definitely recommend the place and also made this our favorite indian-go-to-restaurant.

As always, super tasty, great service! We didn't like one of the desserts, we immediately swapped it for another alternative, which I thought was great and very attentive! We always enjoy coming back

Ganz großes Tennis! Es gibt ja nicht "das" Indische Essen, dafür ist Indien zu groß. Aber im Vergleich zu anderen Indischen Restaurants spielt Sangram in einer ganz anderen (höheren) Liga. Habe hier bisher nur vegetarisch gegessen aber alles, sogar der Reis ist sehr gut und lecker gewürzt. Bin nach wie vor immer wieder begeistert von diesem leckeren Essen. Danke dafür!

Wir holen meist Essen ab. Es ist superlecker und immer pünktlich fertig. Wer es nicht zu scharf mag sollte es vorher sagen, sonst kann auch mal "Feuer" dabei sein. Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants.

Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker. Die Bedienung sehr nett und engagiert. Obwohl wir über 20 Personen waren, kam das Essen fast gleichzeitig.

Ein erstaunlicher indischer Ort hier in der Stadt. Das Essen ist fantastisch und die Portionen sind ausreichend. Das Personal war bei all unseren Anfragen äußerst hilfsbereit.

Dieses Restaurant ist definitiv einen Besuch wert. Die Lage ist etwas herausfordernd um einen Parkplatz zu finden, aber gut von der Innenstadt zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Essbereich ist sehr einladend eingerichtet, mit schönen Wandmalereien und viel (künstlichem) Grün. Der gesamte Bereich wirkt sehr warm und gemütlich. Es ist jedes mal rappelvoll und auch Kinder sind hier willkommen. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, insbesondere die älteren!! Ich war mehrmals hier, auch mit größeren Gruppen. Das Essen kam jedes mal zeitgleich, so dass keiner warten musste. Es wird mit einer Wärmeplatte serviert, so dass man langsam genießen kann, ohne dass das Essen kalt wird. Die Vorspeisen (insb. chat) und die Spezialität des Hauses sind köstlich, den Rest muss ich noch probieren! Das Mango Lassi ist schmackhaft und so schön cremig, dass man es kaum durch den Strohhalm gesaugt bekommt :-) mir gefällt auch, dass es Stoffservietten gibt. Das WC war jedes Mal sauber und ordentlich; genug Klopapier, Seife, Desinfektionsmittel und Handtücher waren vorhanden. Preislich vollkommen in Ordnung. Ich hoffe sehr, dass dieses Restaurant seinen Standard beibehält und freue mich auf jeden weiteren Besuch! Ich liebs, 10/10

Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant mit authentischer vielseitiger Speisekarte und sehr guter Qualität. Super freundlich und fantastisch lecker. Eine so große Auswahl verschiedenster indischer Gerichte habe ich bisher selten gesehen. Tolle Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte. Auch für Vegetarier eine große Auswahl. Selbst ein Pfefferminze/Ingwer Tee war großartig frisch zubereitet. Von mild, fruchtig exotisch bis scharf, für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Eine ganze klare Empfehlung für Freunde der indischen Küche und solche, die es werden wollen.

Wir waren am Anfang fast allein. Netter Kellner, doch die Getränke und die Speisen bringt eine andere Kraft, die sie Sachen nur abstellt. Das kostenlose Papadam war für uns eher etwas zu angebrannt. Die Speisen waren gut, aber jeweils vier Stücke vom Huhn oder der Ente sind doch arg wenig. Das kennen wir aus anderen Restaurants deutlich besser. Schade, denn das Ambiente ist eigentlich gut.

300 km extra gefahren um nach 5 Jahren wieder das köstlichste Lammkorma der Welt zu essen.

Sehr große Auswahl an Gerichten. Auch viele vegane und vegetarische Varianten. Sehr lecker zubereitet und toll gewürzt. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und man muss nicht auf den Service warten. Einfach top und sehr zu empfehlen

Die neue Karte ist etwas schwierig zu verstehen für Leute, die nicht so häufig indisch essen, da die Gerichte alle ähnlich sind, helfen Bilder meiner Meinung nach Dinge besser zu unterscheiden.

Essen sehr gut. Als Vorspeise Nr. 29 Crispy Paneer Pakoda. Richtig gut. Dann Nr. 102 Crispy Duck, mit Mango Sauce. Wunderbar, dass diese Speisen würzig sind und nicht scharf. Beilagen Reis gut. Als Dessert Nr. 159 Firni. Klasse. Sehr freundlicher Service. Ging auch alles sehr schnell. Stoff Servietten. Sehr saubere Tischdecken. Farbenfroh ausgestaltet. Ziemlich viel los, etwas laut. Wir haben uns aber wohlgefühlt.

A nice Indian restaurant in Erlangen. The place is well known chain restaurant. Interior is quite nice and I can feel authentic atmosphere. But as a foreigner, it is not sure. Food quality is more or less good. But service was a way slow. We entered at 19:10 and we could order drinks at 19:35 and we could drink from 19:55 and then all foods arrived at 20:30. If you are busy it would be nice to come when you have a plenty of time. Price is quite higher than I thought. We ordered 7 dishes for 9 people bit average price for each was plus minus 20 euros. What if we ordered one dish for each, I am pretty sure everyone should pay more than 25 euros per each.

Super Essen, freundliches Personal und schönes Ambiente. Reservierung unbedingt erforderlich. Wir kommen wieder. Nummer 149 ist jedoch ein Witz! Gericht beinhaltet nur 2 kleine Röllchen mit Soße und Reis, kostet aber 12,50 €. Satt wird man davon nicht.

Das Essen ist super lecker, die Speisekarte hat eine große Auswahl und der Service ist sehr freundlich. War nicht das erste Mal und wird auch nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein :)

One of the best Indian cuisine restaurant around.. A must try. Food is amazing loved it.

Sehr leckeres Essen, haben ein Gericht gewählt mit verschiedenen Köstlichkeiten. Kann alles nur empfehlen. Service war sehr nett. Wir saßen im Garten und der war sehr nett eingerichtet. Alles in allem war es ein schöner Abend. Einzig die Preise waren etwas über dem Durchschnitt.

A decent place to have some delicious food. Must try their Chicken Biryani and Chilli Paneer. Quantity will be sufficient for one person and also checkout their Starters and Tandoori chicken masala dish. Prices are decent enough, and ofcourse recomended for the Indian food.

Jedes Mal aufs Neue toll dort zu essen! Das Essen schmeckt so lecker. Ich habe schon mehrere Indische Restaurants in der Region ausprobiert aber keiner toppt das Sangam. Außerdem toll dass dort immer Bollywood Musik läuft.

War sehr gut! Sehr viel! Für den Preis kriegt man in anderen Restaurants einen kleinen Burger von dem niemand satt wird... Nicht hier! Wir mussten das Essen einpacken lassen und mein Abendessen besteht normalerweise aus über 2 Kilo Chili für mich allein.
