We were here for dinner yesterday. The lamb dishes were very tasty. We'll be back.

We ordered through Lieferando and are really very satisfied. The delivery was with us within the announced time and the food was still hot. In terms of taste, it was truly some of the best food we have ever eaten. Unfortunately things are often just swimming in sauce, but here it was perfectly balanced. The spiciness was also absolutely appropriate! We will definitely order again - keep it up! :)

Delicious food and good service. Tried the Gobi65, Mutton Rogan Josh, Himalayan Naan and Onion Kulcha, every dish had a good spice amount. Really enjoyed the Himalayan Naan and would definitely recommend it.

We ordered from Bombay Haus today. All dishes were very tasty and each tasted great in its own way.

I ordered via delivery the Papdi Chat, Kadhai Paneer and Jaipuri Bhindi. The Okra was good and authentic as I’ve had before in India. The Kadhai Paneer was also good, it was not too spicy and very flavourful. However I think the rice they served with it was day old, reheated because the grains were a little dry, not characteristic of steamed rice of the current day. The Papdi Chaat was not what I’m used to— I’ve had it mostly as the veg and sauces layered on an intact paapdi. Each preparation is different so thats alright but there was too much tamarind sauce in the mix. This could be a human error but in the case it’s not, I would recommend a lower quantity of tamarind. I tried to balance it out with the green chutney but it seems to be a pre-bought sauce with mint extract rather than fresh mint so it felt a bit like toothpaste. I really think Bombay Haus has potential to be one of the authentic Indian restaurants in Erlangen if they make their mint chutney for chaat in-house and make sure the rice is not drying over the day. It is not a delivery issue since I’ve had rice delivered from many other places and it’s can be very fluffy. I won’t be ordering again soon but I hope the next time there is more emphasis on freshness and in-house making of condiments.

Excellent service and food is very very delicious. Try their nan, chicken gravy, chilly chicken dry, paneer chilly, or any other starters, it’s all amazing.

We got two overpriced gobi 65 to go. It turned out to be 1 in total(barely). The taste was alright, but honestly they should change the name to manchurian or chilli gobi instead. The card machine didn't work and kept declining our card.

Today we have visited this place and I would really recommend this hotel. Food and service was very good. My only question is ( not for this hotel but all the Indian hotels in Germany), I just don't understand, why indian hotels don't serve only 1 onion and 1 peace of lemon as salad with main course. I don't think that coasts a lot. Also, I have visited other non-indian hotels in Germany, they serve at least a small plate of green salad with the main course. We Indians know very well with some kind of dishes we usually love to eat onion and lemon, so at least Indian hotel should change there service with regard to this point. But it's ok, we can not do about this, so let it be. Bombay House has ultimate Taste. Everyone must visit this hotel at least once. Thank you for lovely food 🙏🙏🙏😊

Inconspicuous restaurant. The lunch dishes are good value for money, around 9 euros for a really tasty main course to take away. Eating on site was also good, a main course costs around 13 euros. We recommend the mango lassi and the samosas. The restaurant is also nicely decorated, but small. Unfortunately, Pfarrstrasse is always unpleasant as a pedestrian.

The place has transformed since I last visited a few years back. We tried a few starters and a couple of Mains, and none of the dishes disappointed. Gobi 65 was out of the world, and so was butter chicken. Bharva Allu was refreshing in taste as well a good change from normal menu which every Indian restau have in Erlangen. Would love to come back and try more.

Excellent food, quality and service! One of the best restaurants in Erlangen. We are super fond of their cream of palak soup (we had sore throat the first time, so asked for a special version of cream of palak which tastes heavenly), papdi chaat. Cheese burst paratha and Paneer lababdar were also very good! And the review is incomplete without mentioning their amazing service 😍 They have been maintaining the consistency since the last time we had the soup, so it's really commendable! Overall a really good Indian restaurant in Erlangen! Highly recommended!

Delayed delivery by 50 minutes. Food was bland and cold. Not authentic Indian taste. Worst experience ever. Never ordering again from here.

I ordered food from uber eats. Bombay Haus food is always good but the delivery man is super impolite. Last time too, he was complaining in German, (since my german is really basic) I could figure out that he was upset. This time, I immediately went down to get my food as I did not want to upset the person when he rang the bell. He started complaining again saying that I ordered the food too late. If they only serve until 2:30, they should switch off their machines so that the customers cannot place order after a certain time. This is certainly annoying as I order food when I feel like eating it and if you cannot serve food, I can always order from other restaurants which are open rather than hear someone complaining that I ordered food too late which I paid for.

The food was amazing.... I ordered chicken madrasi, my friends ordered vegetable biriyani and malai kofta.... Every dish was perfect and upto the mark. We also ordered butter naan... It was so soft and perfectly made..... I think this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Erlangen... Only problem is the size, it's a small restaurant... Considering the taste of food service... They could have a bigger and fancier restaurant then it would be on top. The location is also perfect. Just go here without any doubt, you will have the best Indian food.

Super leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen, auch eine große Auswahl!! Absolut bester Service, die Kellner sind sehr herzlich und gehen auf Wünsche ein. Wir saßen draußen und das Ambiente und die Einrichtung war mega schön. Gerne wieder wenn wir in Erlangen sind.

The best go to restaurant for authentic Indian food in Erlangen. We ordered Samosa, bhindi Jaipuri, Baigan ka Barta and some roti- Nans... My wife ordered mutton Biryani.. Everything is super tasty... Service and hospitality are next level.. Even the price is reasonable.. I would request these people to start some south Indian breakfast too [at least over weekends ] like Dosa, Idli or Vada etc..

This is one of the Indian restaurants where you can have Indian food at prices which are really competitive to other restaurants in the city.

Authentic Indian Food in Erlangen, if anyone wishes to have then I'll highly recommend Bombay Haus. I ordered "Paneer Chili Dry" and "Chicken Tikka Masala." To all the Indian restaurants I have eaten in Erlangen, Bombay Haus is a must go-to restaurant. I loved the food, and it's worth the price. Both dine-in and delivery of food are the best. I appreciate the hospitality as well.

Leider eine totale Enttäuschung seit der Übernahme der neuen Inhaber . Wir kennen die ehemaligen Inhaber und ich selbst was über 10 Jahre sehr sehr gerne Gast dort. Ich dachte mir , ich gebe den neuen Inhabern eine Chance . Essen leider mit eingedeutschten Geschmack , nicht mehr authentisch wie bei den Vorbesitzern . Auf Nachfrage weshalb das Naan im Blech gebacken sei , wurde unfreundlich reagiert. Sehr schade , obwohl der neue Inhaber vom vorherigen Koch über mehrere Wochen angelernt wurde. Leider keinen Besuch mehr wert wie vor einigen Jahren .

Wer eine leckere Souce mit ganz VIEL Reis essen möchte ist hier gut beraten. Kaum Fleisch oder bei Vegi Auberginen drin.

Leider ist das Essen nicht mehr so wie vor dem Besitzerwechsel. Die Servicequalität auch nicht ... Die Gerichte sind grundsätzlich eigentlich gut gekocht, allerdings wird immer wieder ignoriert, wenn Gerichte ausdrücklich ohne Schärfe bestellt werden. Ich esse persönlich sehr gerne scharf, allerdings verträgt es nicht jeder und das Bombay Haus ist dafür bekannt, Gerichte immer nach eigenem Gusto zu servieren und nicht darauf zu achten, wie die Gerichte bestellt wurden. So werden dann extra scharf bestellte Gerichte teils nur pikant und extra mild bestellte Gerichte sind teilweise schärfer als die ausdrücklich scharf bestellten. Die Gerichte waren dementsprechend ungenießbar und weil sie ausdrücklich so nicht bestellt waren, müsste man eigentlich sein Geld zurückfordern. Ich werde das Bombay Haus künftig meiden. Es gibt genügend Alternativen in Erlangen, die auf Kundenwünsche eingehen.

The atmosphere is good, but the service was too friendly. The owner (seems to be) was stopping at our table every five minutes and checking which felt it was too much. We ordered chicken madras and got something which doesn't feel like it was chicken madras.

Essen leider viel zu scharf. Vor allem Butter Chicken sollte eigentlich ein mildes süßliches Gericht sein. Das Naan Minzen Brot war verbrannt und ohne Geschmack. Lieferung hat auch länger gedauert, als angegeben.

Wir haben unser Essen (bzw. Fleischsorten) nicht auseinanderhalten können. Auf Nachfrage erfolgte sofort ein Rückruf und es wurde uns weitergeholfen. Essen war gut und scharf. Besonders lecker die Vorspeise gefüllte Kartoffeln.

Ich habe Butter chicken bestellt und die Lieferung ging flott. Die Soße war lecker aber leider ungewürzt. Hähnchenfleisch ist in viel zu großen Stücken geschnitten, sehr fettig und hat geschmeckt als hätte man es davor in heißem Wasser gekocht. Hat mir nicht so gut gefallen. 14 € sind etwas überteuert weil ich von der Portion kaum satt wurde.

Sehr gemütliches, kleines indische Restaurant. Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Personal pfiffig und freundlich. Die Bedienung sprach Englisch, kein Deutsch, was uns nicht weiter störte. Das Restaurant war ziemlich voll, ein Tisch sollte besser vorher reserviert werden.

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant in der Altstadt. Die Einrichtung ist Stilgerecht mit indischen Wandbildern und geschnitztem bequemen Mobiliar. Die Ausstattung ist schon älter aber sauber. Wir hatten reserviert und wurden herzlich begrüßt und vom Kellner zum Platz geleitet. Die reich bebilderte leicht abgegriffene Speisekarte bestand aus mehreren Blättern auf einem Klemmbrett. Wir bestellten Paneer Pakora (Panierter Käse) und Masala Papad (Belegtes Brot an Chips erinnernd) als Vorspeise und bekamen eine Trilogie von Soßen in kleinen Gefäßen dazu die uns der hinzugekommene Koch erläuterte. Er fragte uns auch wie scharf er die bestellten Hauptgerichte, Lamm, Hühnchen, Kichererbsen (Vegan) würzen sollte. Die mit Reis und Fladenbrot gereichten Speisen waren köstlich. Reis bestellten wir noch nach. Der Service war überaus zuvorkommend und die Preise angemessen und sehr moderat.

Leider kann man keine Null Sterne vergeben ☹️. Das Brot war gar nicht richtig gebacken und hat furchtbar geschmeckt! Am Ende kassierte er höhere Preise als wie auf der Speisekarte stand mit der Begründung er hat die Preise aufgrund der höheren Energie Preise erhöht! Dann sollte er auch die Preise in der Speisekarte anpassen!

A must visit restaurant if you happen to visit erlangen. Ordered Papdi chat, Murg makhani and Chicken biryani from the Menu. The most authentic Indian food I've tasted in Germany so far. Hats off to the cook and the friendly service.

I agree 100% with my friend Asma. The food is delicious, we went back twice back to back because we liked the food so much. They cook with khade masale so try to not ask them to make food spicy. Edit: The non veg food here is non halal. Edit 2: The malai kofta and garlic naan combo here is still unbeatable!!

Dieses Restaurant ist super. Essen sehr gut, wenn auch die Speisenquantität abgenommen hat und die Preise erhöht worden sind, was ich nicht gerechtfertigt finde. Aber zumindest hat die Qualität nicht abgenommen.

Sehr lecker mit Abzügen in der B-Note Sehr leckeres Essen, angenehm scharf, aber nicht zu scharf, wenn es nicht auf der Speisekarte vermerkt war. Das Garlic-Naan war super lecker und auch das scharfe Chicken (Nr 50) und die vegetarischen Currys. Abzüge in der B-Note weil die Portionen doch recht klein waren und das Weizenbier nicht wirklich kalt.

Wir haben jetzt zweimal dort bestellt und werden es sicher noch öfter tun. Beurteilen können wir nur die vegetarischen Gerichte mit Paneer, die wirklich sehr lecker und auch gut portioniert waren. Die Lieferung hat ca 60 min am Wochenende gedauert, es kam aber gut temperiert an. Für alle die etwas sensibel sind: auch Gerichte bei denen es nicht dabei steht sind von grundauf scharf, aber für uns völlig passend.

Paneer curry was tasty and it did not require the fried coriander seeds on top as garnish. The Kadai chicken is great.

The butter chicken is excellent! Top 1% that I have had. Been here three times in three weeks. It is so awesome to have my excellent food with a Radler in hand.

Super lecker, Lieferung leider teils recht langsam

Leider ist das Bombay Haus nicht mehr das, was es einmal war. Es wurde renoviert und hat nicht mehr die Gemütlichkeit von früher. Auch die Gastgeber sind neu, junge Leute ohne Gastroerfahrung leider. Der sehr junge und unmotivierte Kellner versteht kein Wort deutsch und so bekommt man eine unvollständige und/oder falsche Bestellung. Es dauert extrem lang, wir haben 1 Stunde und 20 min auf unser Essen gewartet. Die Speisen an sich waren geschmacklich sehr gut.

Vielen Dank für die schnelle und zuverlässige Lieferung! Huhn- und Lammgericht mit Garlic Naan waren sehr lecker! Immer wieder gerne! Dieter Neugebauer und Monika Durst sagen: sehr empfehlenswert 👍

Zum Abholen und Liefern lassen vollkommen in Ordnung. Aber vor Ort Essen unmöglich! Ein völlig überforderter junger Mann, welcher sich wirklich sehr bemüht, nimmt die Bestellungen auf. Nach einer halben Stunde kommen dann die ersten beiden Getränke (leider auch noch falsch) von insgesamt sechs, nach einer gefühlten weiteren halben Stunde der nächste Teil und dann irgendwann komplett. Bei den Speisen leider nicht anders; wir hatten vier Vorspeisen und sechs Hauptspeisen. Alles kam leider sehr versetzt so dass wir nicht gemeinsam Essen konnten weil wir ständig auf ein anderes Essen warten mussten. Letztendlich habe ich das Essen einpacken lassen. Das Essen selber war sehr gut, da gibt es nichts zu meckern. Aber nie mehr vor Ort. Davon abgesehen war das Restaurant nur von uns besucht und einem jungen Pärchen.

I had my first visit here about three weeks ago and I cannot stop thinking about it. Flavor was complex and delicious. I had tried several Indian places in erlangen and more or less gave up on finding a place where the food and service made me want to come back. All of the staff was wonderful the food delicious and outdoor seating area was wonderful and quiet! Would recommend!

One of the best Indian Restaurants in town. If you have a hankering for Indian food, look no further. Put your finger on anything on the menu and you can't possibly go wrong. Personal favs - veg Biryani and Paneer Lababdar. Cheers!

Das Essen ist lecker und das Ambiente sehr schön! Ich habe mein Essen nun allerdings schon zweimal mild bestellt und es war für meinen Geschmack leider immer noch zu scharf… Ansonsten gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Boombastic authentic Indian food!!! Google only allows 5 stars... Seriously not enough for this place! We know Indian food only from Asia... So back in Germany we were disappointed 3 times.... But now we know where to go.... Thank you guys!!!

We have always ordered the food through Lieferando and the delivery has always been quick. I highly recommend their curries for authentic Indian taste. However, the Vegetable Dum Biryani tasted bland and there was no taste of "dum". This can be improved. Also, the mango kulfi was not so fresh and had smell of the refrigerator. Overall, for a good Indian food in Erlangen, this place offers good variety of dishes and flavors.

Eines der bestes indischen Restaurants in Erlangen und Umgebung. Freundliche Servicemenschen und Lieferanten, Essen jedes Mal lecker, authentisch gewürzt, mit anpassbarem Schärfeniveau und vor allem: noch heiß. Und ganz oft kommt die Bestellung schneller als angekündigt unten an der Tür an. Weiter so, Leute!

Sehr leckeres authentisches indisches Essen. Hatten im Lockdown schon mehrfach "to go" Essen mitgenommen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Beide Daumen hoch und nur zu empfehlen!
