The food was floating in a mixture of fat and oil. I found that there was a lack of spices or a highlight in the taste and everything reminded me of frozen goods. The rice was completely overcooked and just a mush with no bite. For the prices quoted I expect a different quality. I had 2 main courses, 1 starter and 1 extra for over 50 euros.

A culinary gem on the canal I had the pleasure of visiting this charming restaurant with a Franconian-Mediterranean twist, located right on the picturesque canal. The location alone is an absolute dream - right on the water, with a cozy outdoor area that invites you to linger. Especially when the weather is nice, it is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet and the view of the canal. The kitchen also completely convinced me. The combination of Franconian down-to-earthness and Mediterranean lightness creates a wonderful balance between traditional flavors and modern influences. From the delicious bratwurst to the delicate cevapcici to fresh fish dishes - every dish was a real taste explosion. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands here. Special requests were also taken into account without any problems, which made the visit even more pleasant. Overall, it was a completely successful culinary experience in a beautiful setting. This restaurant is an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy Franconian-Mediterranean cuisine in an idyllic ambience!

With the new tenant since May 2024, the restaurant has changed completely. The food is very tasty and the staff is very committed and motivated. Extra requests are gladly fulfilled and often at no extra charge. The opening times are maintained or even exceeded. We would love to come back. Great change, very positive!

The boathouse is located directly on the European Canal, which you have a very nice view of from the terrace. Delicious food and good service rounded off our visit. We'd love to come back.

Very nice new tenants! All of our food, especially gyros and calamari, was very good. Gyros and calamari tender and well seasoned. Crispy fries, delicious tzatzuki - what more could you want! The beautiful terrace is of course still there!

The staff isn't the fastest, but they are very friendly :) The food is great! It tastes really fresh, I haven't had such a good cordon bleu in a long time 🫶💪 Price performance is also great for the quality, cheaper than many others

You sit quietly on the first floor on the terrace directly on the Main-Donnau Canal. Friendly service. The drinks barely arrived and after a very short time the food was already on the table. We had gyros (pork) and calamari, both very tasty. Served with fries or rice, some coleslaw and tzatziki. Highly recommended !

Mine sits incredibly beautifully on the high terrace on the first floor with a view of the canal and the green... It was about time that a restaurant that was really good came back. We had the breaded sheep's cheese and the platter for 2 people. Both were excellent. The cevapcici are great and we can only recommend them! Super friendly hosts and great service. Gladly again at any time!

Very nice location with a view of the Main Danube Canal, the service was friendly and the order was taken straight away. The starter, main course and dessert came quickly and all tasted very good and would be recommended to everyone.

When we entered we were looked at with surprise like what do you want here? After we made it clear that we wanted to come to the restaurant to eat, we were told that there was no food today and that we would have to do it soon anyway (it was before 7 p.m.), probably with the thought - please don't sit down to drink either. We were happy that we were able to look for something else because the atmosphere wasn't inviting either. Maybe try it again in summer with the terrace and then maybe have a better day...

Super friendly, cold beer and other drinks. We didn't eat anything because we only took a short break. But the terrace and the view of the canal are very nice 😊

Went there for the first time yesterday, at first we just ordered drinks, when my husband was empty of his beer, we had to wait for what felt like half an hour until a lady came and brought him a new beer, which the gentleman preferred to sit down His regular customers and chatted with them and brought them their drinks rather than paying attention to us. The lady, obviously from Sri Lanka, was very friendly. About the food: Portions were sufficient, but nothing extraordinary that justifies the price of €12, rice with chicken strips and fried noodles (that weren't fried) with chicken strips, well you can eat, but you don't have to. Another thing that bothered me was that they didn't ask me whether my dog ​​and cat might need water, but that's just a minor matter. View from the terrace is simply unforgettable, the view of the canal is magnificent. We paid €42.30 for 2 meals, 3 beers and 2 specialties.

Unfortunately our electronic voucher was not accepted by the voucher book. This has never happened to us anywhere before. The owner seemed friendly but haphazard.

Wunderbar am Abend zum sitzen. Man sitzt in der Abendsonne. Die Speisekarte mit Überwiegend aus Sri Lanka stammenden Gerichten ist übersichtlich und die Gerichte frisch. Blick auf den Kanal, man kann nebenbei den Ruderern bei ihrem Hobby zuschauen.

Vegetarisch und aber auch mit Fleich! Schmeckt sehr gut. Frisch und lecker

Schöne Sonnenterasse direkt am Kanal, netter Familienbetrieb, kleine Karte mit exzellenten authentischen Sri Lankischen Gerichten.

Champika is a super great cook, offering food from Sri Lanka, but also some local meal! It is really worth to have lunch or dinner here - ask for the vegetable curry, or the fried noodles with chicken :-). When the weather is nice, the terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy a drink - a beer or "Radler" or an Aperol Sprizz. We love this place!

A nice location along a quite channel makes this a good rowing spot. The house is full equipped and large. There is also a big port.

Vor allem im Sommer kann man herrlich draußen sitzen und ein kühles Getränk genießen. Die srilankischen Nudeln sind Spitzenklasse.

Wenn es möglich ist auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, dann ist es wunderschön. Auf den Kanal zu schauen und das Treiben der Sportler zu beobachten die immer unterhaltsam. Das Speisen Angebot ist klein aber fein, na und ein Kellerbier passt zur ,,Biergarten Atmosphäre "!!! Immer wieder gern :-)

Wirklich gutes singalesisches Essen (aus Sri Lanka). Hätte ich in der Wirtschaft eines Rudervereins nicht erwartet. Nur eine kleine Auswahl (6 oder 7 Gerichte), aber richtig lecker, und große Portionen. Dazu draußen auf der Terrasse sitzen mit Blick auf den RMD-Kanal, toll.

Tolles Lokal direkt am neuen Kanal die Küche ist zum Teil fränkisch und zum Teil aus Sri Lanka. Das Personal ist freundlich und nett. Man sitzt oben auf der sonnenterrasse und hat einen guten Blick auf den Radweg und die Schiffe die da vorbeifahren. Macht weiter so!

Schon für eine Radpause um eine Erfrischung zu sich zu nehmen u schöner Ausblick auf den Main-Donau Kanal aber das Essen ist nicht zu empfehlen und der Service eine reine Katastrophe.

Zwar sehr schön auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, wenn das Lokal geöffnet ist, aber die Öffnungszeiten lassen zu wünschen übrig - 16 Uhr erst öffnen, nach einem Spaziergang würde man manchmal gerne Kaffeetrinken und Kuchen essen, wenn es Kuchen gäbe,Eis übrigens.auch nicht?????????
