Great ambience! The portions were large and tasted very good. There were also gluten-free options. Highly recommended!

Very interesting atmosphere and good food. The waitress who served us was called Raquel and spoke Portuguese, great service. We were able to sit (a table for 2) without a reservation, but I believe it's worth making a reservation just in case.

The food is great, the service is just as good, but a little music in the shop would be nice.

The food is not good. Finished products and poorly warmed up too. Vegetables were still half frozen. Maultaschen, dumplings etc. were all ready-made products, not enough sauce (also powder) and the portions were also very small. 2 spoonfuls of cheese spaetzle with the meat... mass production nothing more The stars go to the friendly waitress. We had dinner with 8 people. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the food. Price/performance ratio more than okay. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating.

Nice ambience and rooms, the food was good size but unfortunately my roast pork was oversalted, the red cabbage was from a jar, the potato dumplings weren't homemade either, with so few dishes on the menu you can make these things yourself and the beer wasn't that good either no more food

It tasted good. Schnitzel was good. Unfortunately I didn't have any cranberries with the Ratskellerschnitzel :( Cranberries are an absolute must with every schnitzel. And the selection of desserts is slim, very small and very run of the mill. Apple strudel and moor noodles are really standard. How about: chocolate and vanilla mousse, tiramisu, profiterol, pudding, ice cream sundae other than chocolate, vanilla, strawberry. Steamed dumplings, selection of cakes etc.

The restaurant is in an old cellar . Brick arch vaults and thick brick columns provide a special architectural aspects as well as create a very special deco. There is no loud echo at all though, good acoustic design. We were treated with attentive and friendly staff. Food was very good. Unfiltered beer was our favorite. Decent price level. An excellent place to enjoy German food and atmosphere.

A really very good restaurant. Very tasty and, above all, freshly prepared food, a very large selection of drinks and very nice and friendly staff. The only disadvantage: When the store is relatively full, it is very loud. But all in all definitely worth a visit.

If the administrator who greets the guests thinks he can talk to his colleague about our nationality and be smart, I will upset him. If you speak poor English and German, you will be an unwelcome guest to them. But the waiters are great, they always have a smile on their faces and are nice people, also the chefs - it's very tasty, which I thank them for.

The location is nice and good beer. The food is more of a prefabricated industry. Neither Maultaschen, dumplings nor red cabbage were homemade.

We ordered onion roast with cheese spaetzle The onion roast was really very tough like asphalt rubber 🫣 The cheese spaetzle was really tasty and a little too little cheese. The fried onions and sauce were good and the beer was tasty too. The ambience was also very nice, hence the 2 stars 🌟

Scoperto per caso. Abbiamo mangiato dentro perchè fuori il tempo era brutto. Locale caratteristico con atmosfera calda e accogliente. Poche persone forse perchè era pranzo di una giornata infrasettimanale. Piatti tipici bavaresi e birra di ottima qualità. Personale gentile e disponibile vista la poca dimestichezza con la lingua tedesca.

This is a traditional German brewery, the location is beautiful although inside I would have loved a bit more of light. The food is average, we’ve had better pork chop elsewhere but anyway it was good, the snitzel was good. Service was average as week as the price

His fame is totally fair. It's delicious! Entering the stairs is scary. It looks like a bunker But then the great hall is a reward. Beautiful . Fortunately we came in August and the tremendous heat (not usual) allowed us to be on the terrace. And we enjoyed it even more.

I recently visited Ratskeller in Augsburg and enjoyed a delicious meal of tender grilled turkey and beef medallions with fresh vegetables, Spätzle pasta, and a creamy sauce. The food was excellent, capturing the essence of German cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience was soured by poor service. Despite asking the waiter (with tattoos on his calves) for the bill three times, he ignored my requests and prioritized other tables who asked after me. This lack of attention ruined what could have been a perfect lunch.

The food is tasty and plentiful. In the evening, the entire restaurant is subject to internal reservations. It is worth making an appointment in advance. Lots of places outside.

Delicious food, even with children's portions. Dogs allowed. The Maultaschen were very tasty, only the fried potatoes could have been crispier

Very dignified ambience - high vaulted cellar. Very nice staff - every question about the individual dishes was answered satisfactorily. The half knuckle was as big as a whole knuckle anywhere else and the crust was like something out of a “star cookbook”! Be careful with the cocktails, they are really tough 😉.

Wir waren heute im Ratskeller Augsburg und hatten eine wirklich enttäuschende Erfahrung. Zuerst waren alle Tische mit einem Reserviert-Schild belegt, obwohl das Restaurant groß und offenbar genügend Platz vorhanden war. Schließlich bekamen wir einen Tisch, aber es dauerte eine Ewigkeit, bis jemand unsere Bestellung aufnahm, obwohl mehrere Kellnerinnen und Kellner offensichtlich nichts zu tun hatten und uns wartend sahen. Ich bestellte ein Steak mit Röstzwiebeln, das ich medium well gegrillt haben wollte. Als es endlich kam, war es komplett durchgebraten und an einigen Stellen sogar verbrannt. Wir baten darum, das Steak zu ersetzen, aber es vergingen wieder lange Minuten ohne eine Rückmeldung. Schließlich wollten wir das Essen stornieren, da meine Begleitung ihr Essen bereits beendet hatte. Doch wieder keine klare Antwort – die Kellner unterhielten sich untereinander und ignorierten uns. Als ich schließlich selbst aufstand und nachfragte, wurde mir sehr unhöflich mitgeteilt, dass das Essen storniert sei. Der Vorgesetzte war ebenfalls unhöflich und meinte, wir sollten einfach warten. Beim Verlassen des Restaurants erwähnte ich, dass ich meine Erfahrung auf TripAdvisor teilen werde. Daraufhin reagierte ein junger Kellner, der offenbar während der Arbeit ein Bier trank, extrem unhöflich mit "Ja! Unbedingt." Anstatt sich für die schlechte Erfahrung zu entschuldigen, zeigte er keinerlei Interesse an unserem Feedback und verhielt sich extrem respektlos. Diese Art von Service ist inakzeptabel und wir werden definitiv nicht wiederkommen. Sehr enttäuschend und beschämend für ein Restaurant in dieser schönen Stadt.

Situato proprio sotto la Rathaus, si trova quindi in una posizione centralissima e comoda. Locale ampio e servizio disponibile, cortese e veloce. Ci siamo tornati due volte perché dopo la prima sera eravamo certi di quello che avremmo trovato. Anche senza prenotazione abbiamo trovato posto senza troppa attesa (anche venerdì sera...) Ordinato sempre piatti diversi, tutti ottimi! Soddisfatti anche i bambini.

I was eating for the second time today and ordered pepper crust steak rare (bloody). I got a small piece for 22.70 and I had to give half of it back because it was really well cooked because it was just too dry and no longer edible. A lady serving it apologized from the kitchen and said a desert is on the house, which we also decide to have apple strudel for the child. At the end, when I asked for the bill, the bill said that there was steak and apple strudel where it should actually go as an apology after requesting that I would like to speak to the manager or head chef. They would answer me that there was no one in the house who could clarify this matter with me After 10 minutes I was brought a different bill without steak and desert and no apology. I find the staff really rude.

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to give you feedback on my recent visit to your restaurant. At first I was really looking forward to a nice lunch, but unfortunately I was disappointed. I ordered onion roast with fried potatoes. Unfortunately, what was served did not meet my expectations. The fried potatoes appeared to be store-bought rather than freshly prepared, and the meat was chewy like chewing gum. The taste of the sauce wasn't convincing either. It is a hidden gem. Great selection of German food and beer. We had traditional pork Schnitzel which was really fresh and tasty. The unfiltered beer was nice but the wheat beer with lemonade was absolutely amazing and refreshing. Totally recommend.

A nice restaurant (both indoor and outdoor). The employees are always friendly and we have never had to wait too long. The selection of dishes is not too large, but absolutely sufficient! The quality is great. I think it's fair priced. Overall, highly recommended!

Nice food, good service, incredible atmosphere sitting outside to eat whilst we watched the street performers. Inside is beautiful and it looks a good place to eat in the colder months too. I think I didn’t chose the right food, the salad I picked was fine but the rest of the food looked good too. The children had kids meals - chips and schnitzel, which they loved. Very well priced.

The unfriendly waiter who served us was very disappointing. He took the order annoyed and then forgot an entire dish. His reaction to this was unprofessional and flippant.

Bad service. I've never experienced anything like how annoyed the waiter was. After the food was distributed, you never saw him again, you never asked if you could bring anything else or if everything was okay, on the contrary, super rude, made us feel very uncomfortable.

Unfortunately I have to correct my recession downwards. We made another attempt and reserved a table for my birthday yesterday. When we arrived there was a couple in front of us who hadn't made a reservation. When asked if we had reserved, we said yes - unfortunately our reservation could not be found on the slip. After a very skeptical look from the employee, I pointed out my birthday and the telephone reservation. He then said, no problem, we'll free up a table. It looked like this: the other couple got a nice table for two in the middle and we got the last corner next to a table full of English people shouting and drinking schnapps. After 10 minutes we left because no one was interested in bringing us drinks or anything like that. That was my birthday event. Thank you Team Ratskeller - that's what you want.

Ratskellerteller was good, the vegetables were a bit “bitchy”. The steak knife was - as in other places - blunt The service is friendly but understaffed. In the doorway I was almost run over by a service worker; There was no need to evade or apologize. The men's toilet "shines" with an unbearable smell of urine and a very dirty floor.

It's quite ok there. The rooms and outside are nice and clean too. The food wasn't necessarily a burner, the dessert was delicious. Only the price and taste of the main meal were not that suitable. Should have tasted better...

Heel gezellig ingerichte oude raadhuiskelder. Het is ietwat gehorig, als je daar gevoelig voor bent is dit niet aan te raden. Eten is heerlijk, lekker typisch lokale gerechten. Bediening is snel ondanks de drukte.

Knowing in advance how long you will stay is actually pretty unacceptable. I don't know from Switzerland. If I eat for over 100 euros per person, how quickly do I have to finish it? Just because I may have stated something wrong?

A beautiful stylish restaurant. With charm and modern furnishings. Very nice service, always on point. The price is right. The food was very tasty. The steak with vegetables was excellent. Finely fried, medium how I like it. The vegetables are crunchy. My companion had very fine, delicious ravioli, which also tasted delicious. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat something good.

The Ratskeller in Augsburg is located directly under the town hall in a vaulted cellar and is an absolute highlight! Good food and tasty Riegele beer!🍺 Service was attentive. P.S. It's true what some people write here that some employees treat you rudely! I noticed it every now and then 🫤

We had dinner in the Ratskeller today. When we walked in the ambience was very impressive. The service was very friendly and answered our questions. My friend had the Rateller, which was very tasty. I had half the pork knuckle, it was very juicy and the potato dumpling wasn't too dry. All in all, it was a very delicious dinner. The price is also fair, we had 2 main courses and a dessert each and of course drinks and it was around 65€. PS: If you're in the mood for dessert, you've come to the right place.

Unfortunately, even if there are free seats, no tables will be pushed together to sit on the terrace. With 12 people, the cost of food and drink sales would certainly be justified. Unfortunately, this all took place in a very unfriendly manner. We're somewhere else.

Although there was enough space on the terrace, we were sent away again in an unfriendly manner with 12 people (family outing). Sales can apparently be safely avoided here.

Hello, we are currently visiting Augsburg and stumbled across the Ratskeller because I wanted traditional cuisine. The three of us spontaneously got a high table in the evening (6.30 p.m.) and were warmly welcomed. Drinks came very quickly. The roast pork with potato dumplings and cabbage was very tasty, the knuckle was also good, and both were very plentiful, as was the children's schnitzel. Ketchup was also added without comment. We would go again.

Seven of us were there for lunch, sat outside on the edge and enjoyed the great atmosphere. The food came very quickly and the service was great too! Special thanks to the kitchen...it was delicious!
