Absolute no-go! Two weeks ago I reserved a table for 4 people on Saturday evening. We chose the inn specifically because of the much-praised duck and accepted a 40-minute journey. 1 day before (Friday afternoon) I called to pre-order half a duck twice for Saturday evening. The reaction of the female operator on the phone was that I didn't have to call because they don't have duck in the evening anyway - combined with a smug smile. When we wanted to place our order the following day at 6:40 p.m., the waiter in charge of our service informed us that duck was unfortunately out. Our disappointment in connection with the explanation that we had made a special request about this the day before. We made it clear that we had called. However, after we were very hungry we decided to stay and order alternatives. One choice was a Viennese veal schnitzel with fried potatoes. We asked that the fried potatoes be prepared without onions, which was confirmed - but the dish was served with onions - a mistake on the part of the kitchen as it turned out. Our waiter Jermaine (who had to listen to our displeasure for the second time and who couldn't do anything about the two mistakes) reacted very professionally and quickly organized a portion of bar potatoes without onions for the schnitzel. And he also donated a lavish dessert platter with dessert variations for the ducks that were no longer available despite having been ordered in advance. Thank you very much for that and once again big praise to Jermaine for dealing with these situations professionally! The other dishes chosen (roast pork and pork fillet medallions) were ok - although the fillet medallions were cut extremely long and we were wondering how you get "mini schnitzels" cut from a fillet for such a long time. And the roast pork was also better remembered. In summary, we can say that on Saturday evening we felt more like a "mass processing" and we will choose another inn for our planned duck meal.

It is the best Germán I have ever tried. The food is really really good. some dishes could look a bit expensive but it is because the quality and the plate itself is amazing. I highly recommend you to come, try the Helles beer and order whatever you want because it is going to be amazing. Here you have some pictures about what we ordered. I had the best schnitzel ever!! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Not to mention some of the best wine and food I've had in a long time! This is the second time we've been here with our large group and the service, food, ambience just gets better and better. I can't wait for our next visit!

Service top. The gentlemen were very nice even though the store was full. Food was of high quality and very tasty for the price. It's not a place I go to often because the prices are rather high, but I'll definitely come back.

Our food was good, home-style and OK, but I think €17.90 for spinach sparrows is excessive. The service was attentive and friendly throughout, very pleasant. The furnishings correspond to a beautiful Bavarian tavern, with meals being served on two floors. And there are definitely attractive toilets.

Restaurant found via Google Maps. It was very busy at lunchtime, but we were still able to get two seats. VERY VERY delicious cheese spaetzle (really large portion) as well as a portion of homemade Obazda with fresh bread (3 scoops of ice cream scoop - huiuiuiui was a lot, but delicious). Friendly service despite all tables being full. the food came very quickly. Price-performance was fine for us. We can therefore only recommend the inn.

It was my first time at the inn under the arch; last time everything was already reserved, which says a lot. It is important to reserve early. We were there with a larger group. The feedback regarding the food was mixed. I myself had a Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad, which was very tasty. The service was averagely friendly, but very quick.

Ein uriges Wirtshaus im Herzen von Augsburg. Auf Empfehlung einer Hotelangestellten haben wir dieses Wirtshaus aufgesucht. Hier gibt es ortstypische Spezialitäten zu einem recht fairen Preis, wobei ich es schon etwas überteuert finde , wenn ein zusätzlicher Semmelnknödel 4 Euro kostet. Das Bier ist von der Augustiner Brauerei. Leider ist die Bierschwemme sehr laut und eine Unterhaltung fast nicht möglich. Das Ambiete erinnert einen an die Bierschwemme vom Hofbräuhaus. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wir haben nach jeweils zwei Bier das Wirtshaus gesättigt verlassen.

This was the best meal I had in Germany. They recommended a beer supplied for Oktoberfest, and I ordered sausages and pork with potato dumplings. Compared to other traditional German restaurants, the food was less greasy and had a refreshing taste, which made it really enjoyable. Even the cabbage dish had a nice, tangy flavor. If I visit this city again, I would love to come back.

Unfortunately I don't understand the good reviews here. Anyone who has ever had really good Bavarian food and who isn't just concerned with having as much as possible on their plate for as little as possible can't give this more than 2 stars. Service was ok, food wasn't good at all. We left half of it standing and had to get out because from floor 1 onwards the air in there is almost unbearable.

Service and ambience are very hectic. There was no peace and quiet and we felt like we were sitting at the train station or in a fast food restaurant. Food and drinks were top.

There were 6 of us at the inn for dinner and we thought: we won't get any more space because everything was completely full. The waitress checked the whole thing again and we got the last table :) For dinner there were burgers, cheese spaetzle, liver and Swabian plates. In short: mega tasty, huge portion and very good service. Always happy again!

The staff was extremely inflexible - we got a €50 park ticket because the card reader didn't work.

We ordered onion roast beef, Dreierlei dumplings and Kaiserschmarren. One of the best onion roasts we have ever eaten. Perfectly medium fried and a REAL gravy, the kind you remember from your grandmother's time 😉 and the Kaiserschmarren is a poem. So fluffy, so delicious—> perfect. We'd love to come back!!

By chance in town I passed the Bavarian inn with Munich Augustiner beer. The super friendly service staff was able to offer us a table straight away. The menu and especially the Augustiner beer = great. Fast service and the food we ordered was first class. Recommendation!

During our four-day stay in Augsburg we ate here every evening from the first to the last day. We liked it so much that we didn't want to try anything else. Cheese spaetzle, spinach spaetzle, dumplings with cream mushrooms, roast pork, burgers and side salad were all excellent. You should be very hungry because the portions are very generous. The staff was always friendly and very quick and the food also came quickly. Reservations are recommended, especially if you are coming with a group.

Our waiter was grumpy from arrival until we left. Not a smile or a question if our food was good. She misunderstood our order and therefore brought the wrong food. Seemed disinterested in what was going on and ruined our experience. There is generally a lot of noise when the room is full and definitely a place I would avoid with smaller children. I would come again if there were no other options…. The only positive was their spetsle was super good.

We came here because we wanted wild and heard that wild is served there. Very tasty food. Salad was very large. And the deer goulash was excellent, in my opinion the bread dumplings could use more salt or the water and parsley, otherwise it was very tasty. See you next time.

Restaurant located in a modern street in Augsburg (Augsburg) and looks like a classic German beer hall. Good food, excellent beer and friendly, professional service; in particular, we were looked after by a very good Italian waiter from Turin. Prices are in line with other similar establishments in the city, around 25 euros each for a dish and a draft beer. It is a place that is definitely worth a visit if you are in town. Thank you!

Centrally located Bavarian inn serving Munich Augustiner beer. Great delicacies menu, the best seller on the menu: onion roast (one of the best I've ever had - and I've had many!). Get a place easily, even without a reservation. Very friendly and fast service. If you have several people in tow, you should make a reservation. Recommendation!

Not a comprehensive review as I only had a drink and dessert. This was very good and I can only praise the service. The only drawback is the acoustics. It was loud as everyone fled indoors because of the rain.
