Everything was great. We were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

Tourist trap! The price-performance ratio is terrible; they even charge for using the toilets… The waiter was friendly but very unhygienic (he repeatedly used a nasal inhaler in front of guests). He also yelled at his colleague in front of us. The food was lukewarm and unfortunately didn't taste good, and four out of seven of us had stomach problems. The atmosphere was very unpleasant because we constantly overheard the staff's discussions and conversations.

We were a large group of 12 people and got a table at short notice. We were greeted very warmly and kindly. The staff was excellent 👍, which is very rare these days.

I liked it! A traditional German restaurant. The entire menu is typical. We ordered a dish for two that included duck, pork, and sausages, plus the traditional red and white cabbage salads and potato dumplings. Very complete. Very tasty. The beers were cold, excellent flavor, and 0.5 liters. The place was very busy, but they have enough tables and very attentive female staff. The service was quick. However, the payment process took EXTREMELY LONG, an activity handled by a gentleman who took longer than usual, even though it was the most important part for the restaurant's management. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars for service. I didn't leave a tip, although the staff deserved one.

We only had a light meal there (Obatzda), but it was very good. Our table neighbors had a cold cuts platter, which was also excellent. I can't comment on the rest of the food. The restaurant is charmingly rustic, clean, and the staff is great. We would have loved to have a proper meal there, but it was always fully booked.

The place is nicely decorated... the toilets are very clean... But the premium spirits were mixed together to make a half-liter of beer... I saw it myself... and then I had to wait another fifteen minutes... after I finally asked about it... even though there were three waiters for fewer than 20 guests... sorry... 3 points

City center location, solid selection and expected quality, but not exceptional.

I was ignored upon entering and not shown to a seat. After waiting in the entrance area for about 10 minutes, I left. Despite eye contact and raising my hand, there was no reaction; the place seemed disorganized.

We were a group of seven and arrived without a reservation at 6:00 PM on December 11, 2025. We were initially given a table until 8:00 PM, which was fine with us. When we inquired, the waiter assured us at our table that we could stay indefinitely. Unfortunately, things turned out quite differently: at 7:15 PM, we were told to pay and leave in 15 minutes, and any objections were ignored. The food was disappointing: the turkey salad tasted stale, the roast pork was dry, and the three kinds of dumplings were flat. Only the beer was good. Based on this experience, we will definitely not be returning.

The food was very good and there was a lot of it. I had the venison goulash with bread dumplings and broccoli. The dessert was enormous – Kaiserschmarrn. Everything was top-notch.

I can only say one thing: Perfect! The food, drinks, and service were simply superb. A few light beers to drink, liver dumpling soup, and a delicious roast pork. Life can be so good.

A nice inn, although the atmosphere downstairs is better than upstairs. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was okay, although, for example, you had to search for the cheese in the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle).

The two of us stopped here for lunch during our short trip to Augsburg. And it was a complete success. We left stuffed. 😂 We actually only wanted a light bite (Bavarian sausage salad and cheese spaetzle), but we ended up with a portion of caramelized Kaiserschmarrn...🤩😋. In short, everything was absolutely delicious. I'll save the address. The service was simply friendly 👍 and fits the overall ambiance. Go there, enjoy the food, and feel at home. A tavern in the best sense of the word.

A great Bavarian restaurant with freshly tapped Augustiner beer. 🍻 Classic dishes with generous portions. I had a roast pork, which was very good. The server was attentive and kept bringing refills when my glass was empty.

The best pumpkin risotto of my life! With room for over 200 guests, it's also a great option if somewhere else is full.

Styrian salad with fried chicken and pumpkin seed dressing – a disappointment. A green salad with four small cherry tomato halves and barely any salad dressing. This was added upon request. Pumpkin seed oil was used sparingly, if at all. The two chicken schnitzels rounded out this salad. It wasn't very decorative (e.g., a bit of pumpkin seed oil and pumpkin seeds sprinkled over the salad). That was it for me :(

While searching for a traditional Bavarian restaurant, we came across this place just a few hundred meters from our accommodation. The wide selection of drinks and food made the decision difficult...the friendly waiter was patient. I opted for venison goulash with dumplings and cranberries. The portion was extremely generous, very tasty, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant is rustic Bavarian and very cozy. I highly recommend it.

The food is very good but the prices are too high.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch, which, while not cheap, was certainly worth the price. The homemade lemonades, not typical of a pub, were also a welcome change from the traditional drinks menu. Why they ask guests to honor the service with a note when they use the restroom is beyond me. Hence only 4 stars instead of the deserved 5.

Very delicious food (we had Sauerbraten and Tafelspitz), accompanied by a liter of Edelstoff (Augustiner) on tap. That alone is enough to make you happy. But hospitality and service are also very important here. The waiters were super friendly, attentive, and on the ball, even though it was really busy (Sunday lunchtime). Conclusion: We'll definitely be back!

The food there is truly delicious, and it deserves a full 5 stars. However, this was our second time there and we were served by a very rude, condescending waitress. No friendly smile, she worked quickly and hectically, and when we asked if we could choose a different side dish, she simply replied with a very snippy "No." Because of this incredibly unfriendly lady, presumably of Russian origin, we will avoid the restaurant in the future.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the food here as we didn't get to eat last night. After a very friendly server showed us to our table and told us we had about 90 minutes to eat, we waited 15 minutes to order something. After brief eye contact with a waiter, we thought our order would be taken. Unfortunately that didn't happen! We were ignored! After 30 minutes with no reaction from the staff, we left the restaurant. Then we saw two of the waiters smoking outside. It seems the customer is being a nuisance! It was all a stroke of luck, because we then had an excellent, stylish meal in a beautiful atmosphere at the Italian restaurant by the cathedral.

Very good beer, excellent traditional food, very ok waitress, especially since she agreed to take a photo with us, being equipped with a traditional Oktobeerfest uniform! Everything was superlative, I can't attach the photo of the waitress because I was protecting her identity. A plus for the administrative staff who responded very promptly to the review and showed us the wheelchair accessible place. We came back the second evening, and the service and food were impeccable!

A very unfriendly female waitress who, when asked if I could order and pay for two beers at the bar and take them outside to drink them in the unattended outdoor seating, answered with a very unfriendly and curt "NO!" Especially on a Saturday with dry autumn weather and a crowded restaurant, this should be made possible for guests... we're used to much better service at other Augustiner restaurants!

We happened to pass by the inn and were seated right away. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent. They serve meat and vegetarian dishes. The portions are very generous. The food was delicious, and the portions weren't exactly small. However, in my opinion, there was too much red cabbage in the small mixed salad, and the venison goulash was a bit tough. Overall, though, a good restaurant with friendly service.

We spent one of the last sunny days in Augsburg and discovered this restaurant by chance – right in the pedestrian zone. The best home-style food we've had in a long time. Excellent service.

We've been to this restaurant several times now and have always been very satisfied with the food served. My personal recommendation is the farm-bred duck, which is very juicy and tasty. The outdoor area is located in a pedestrian zone, which means there's a lot of foot traffic. Personally, that didn't bother me – but if you prefer a quieter setting, you might want to consider another location.

On our way back from vacation, we spontaneously stopped in Augsburg and found the Wirtshaus unter dem Bogen (under the arch). We highly recommend it...friendly and friendly service, top-notch food. Keep it up, best wishes from the Baltic Sea.

Simply SUPER! I ordered the Gustl Beefburger. I was asked if I wanted it medium or well done. The burger was made with the finest beef steak. It was fantastic, topped with cheese. Bacon, tomatoes, and lettuce are also included, of course. Pure enjoyment! Mr. Platon served us very well.

Apparently even though there are seats open we were told to sit and share a table. For the cost of food on the menu we should be getting a table of our own. We decided this is not the place for us.

THE GUEST If you prefer fresh and seasonally prepared food, you should go to the market restaurant, for example. We visited this special restaurant every day during our stay. If I could award Michelin stars, I would. The food was incredibly delicious, traditional but presented in a modern style. Special praise and thanks go to Constanze, a waitress who was not only competent and prompt but also incredibly friendly, even under the most stressful circumstances. Such a gem is rare these days.
