The food is not so good. Biryani is not recommended. The staff is not so welcoming also. Maybe some better improvement will be good.

Delicious Indian food! What you see is indeed spicy. The dining room, with its few tables and chairs, is simple and clean, there's an open kitchen, and the staff is friendly. I ate there twice during a study weekend – highly recommended!

I've been a regular for years. My mouth still waters every time I'm there, and I'm always thrilled with the food. I sometimes bring my family because everyone loves the food.

If you are hungry it's ok. But this is not a place for fun. Just a place to get some eatable Indian food.

Based on a good recommendation, I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and I can give you a spoiler: it was a very good recommendation! We started with a samosa—fresh, heartily spiced, and two delicious dips. For main courses, we had lamb curry and chicken curry, and it's no understatement to say it was the most tender lamb I've ever tasted. The portion was generous, very well seasoned, and we'll definitely be back again. €31 for two main courses, a small appetizer, and two 0.5-liter cold drinks was really very reasonable! I also personally find the charm of the open kitchen and the fact that you pick up your food at the counter very varied. Nice chef/chef, and the menu offers plenty to try, and potential for returning!

I went there a few months ago and tried the Chole Bhature, but unfortunately, I didn’t find it that good. There’s definitely room for improvement.

A real surprise - very inconspicuous from the outside and a simple but appropriate atmosphere, but then a very successful meal. A real recommendation. Large portions, friendly staff, and the taste is more than convincing!

Very rude. We didn't eat anymore - we just went in, greeted us nicely and tried to chat, whereupon the employee replied with his bad mood and said we should finally order. So I can't repeat the exact wording but it's very rude and rude.

The food was very tasty. There were three of us there, all the dishes came at the same time and each one was good. A few other guests also ordered, also over the phone. The whole thing was done by a man who was also friendly and calm. A visit is definitely worth it because of its proximity to the train station, even if you're just passing through.

Always delicious, today we had butter paneer on offer, very tasty and a lot of paneer on the plate. The bhature (correct plural ☝️) are also good and the mango lassi was maybe a bit thin but still good.

An Indian snack bar where the food tastes almost better than in a restaurant. Everything freshly prepared. Very friendly handling.

I come regularly, the chicken and lamb vindaloo is highly recommended. The prices are absolutely fair, the employees are very nice and it's just a nice little shop. The fried flatbread is also very tasty. Also the guys are very fast, love the shop and will remain a regular customer. :)

I have been to many Indian restaurants around the world and was particularly impressed by this one. I was there with my companion. I had the chicken masala, she had the palak paneer. A well-tempered and creamy mango lassi was served with it. The atmosphere was nice, the location ideal

I got to know this small, fine Indian snack bar on Goethe-Allee during a vocational training course in 2009 - it's been around for that long and I come back there with visitors every now and then when something has to be quick and uncomplicated. We were always satisfied.

Authentic Indian snack bar with perfect food and great value for money

It seems to be one of the few Indian places that offer Bhatura, but the last meal I had there (Malai Kofta) I can only rate as unfortunately disappointing. Instead of a clear Indian spice note, it had more of a cafeteria feel to it. Just salty, like an over-seasoned ready-made sauce. I could have eaten a can of Königsberger Klopse. Service was great as always.

Is it a joke how good the Bhindi Lamm is?

The food tasted good and was prepared quickly. Portion size is okay, everyone managed it easily and everyone was full. Ambiance is mediocre. Recommendation if you want some good food quickly. Not necessarily the right place for “eating out” as an event.

Für Vegetarier und Veganer nicht geeignet. Pfannen werden nah Zubereitung Fleischhaltiger Speisen nicht gereinigt und enthalten oft Reste Tierischer Herkunft. Sucht euch was besseres! Geschmacklich sonst gut. Service ist grottenschlecht , Man wird angebrüllt wann dass man sein Essen abholt. Bei Verwechslungen beim Essen wird man als Gast direkt beschuldigt irgendwas getan zu haben. Andere Gäste mit Anzug kriegen Tischservice die anderen nicht

The Rani Dhaba snack bar totally impressed us: simple furnishings with a very pleasant atmosphere, open kitchen where you can watch the cooking, well-kept and clean, very friendly, courteous staff. The food was freshly cooked, hot and plentiful, but the prices were still reasonable. We enjoyed it very much, we will definitely be back soon. What was noticeable was that some of the other guests were obviously regulars, that speaks for itself.

Es war sehr lecker. Die Okra-Stücke waren genau richtig, nicht zu hart, nicht zu weich. Auch die milde Schärfe hat mir gefallen. Würde ich es nach kochen, würde ich aber mehr Okra rein machen. Und es ging schnell. Er hat gesagt, dass es in 10 min fertig ist und es war gefühlt in 9 min fertig. Aber der Koch hatte kein Lächeln im Gesicht und hat beim normalen Trinkgeld nicht "Danke" gesagt. Daher 4,4 Sterne.

Wir essen regelmäßig bei Rani Dhaba. Das Essen ist immer super lecker und der Preis ist angemessen für die Portionsgröße (Die meisten indischen Restaurants in Deutschland sind recht teuer). Die Vegetarischen Gerichte sind sehr zu empfehlen, mein Partner hat aber auch mal das Lamm probiert und war begeistert. Meist essen wir Vorort, Mitnehmen ist aber auch gar kein Problem. Ein Tipp fürs Mitnehmen: je nach Vorspeise und Gericht, sollte das Essen schnell verzehrt werden (es schmeckt zwar immernoch sehr gut, frisch natürlich aber besser).

Ich fand es super lecker und preiswert. Eine sehr positive Überraschung. Es hat nicht schlechter als bei den richtigen indischen Restaurants geschmeckt. Die Soße war super stimmig. Service ist super freundlich und aufmerksam.

Sehr lecker. Schmeckt meiner Meinung nach authentisch indisch. Als Veganer würde ich mir wünschen, dass es mehr Speisen ohne Ghee gibt, aber das ist natürlich eine Frage zwischen "echt-indisch" und individuellen Essensvorlieben.

Pedí uno de los platos más caros con base de ternera. Resultó ser un plato con mucho arroz, mucha salsa y poca ternera...aparte pedí unos aros de cebolla (decentes, pero nada del otro mundo, cantidad justita) y una cerveza. Por todo pagué 17€. Hay indios de mesa y mantel con más cantidad y calidad por precio similar. No tenían Naan

Wem die Imbisseinrichtung nicht stört, wird sich über ein ausgezeichnetes Lamm-Karahi freuen. Perfekt ausbalanciert was die Gewürze betriff und mit sehr zartem Fleisch, wie es für die indische Küche typisch ist. Das Kulcha ist das leckerste was ich bis jetzt auf meinen Reisen durch die Republik essen durfte. Der Standort des Imbisses ist für Pendler und Reisende ideal, da man ca. 3 Minuten von dort zum Hauptbahnhof Göttingen fährt.

Indischer Imbiss mit einfachen, engen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Essen war schnell zubereitet und lecker. Preise um 9€.

Besser als so ziemlich jedes indische Restaurant in Göttingen, wo man häufig sehr viel mehr für sehr viel weniger bezahlt. Oftmals ist das Essen dort arg an den "deutschen Geschmack" angepasst und schmeckt nach hierzulande im Supermarkt erhältlichen Currypulver, dass herzlich wenig mit indischen Curry zu tun hat. Ebenso gibt es oft kaum Gerichte ohne Fleisch, obwohl in Indien viele Menschen noch nicht ein Stück Fleisch im Leben gegessen haben bzw. sehr viel vegetarisch gekocht wird. Hier ist das alles anders. Das Essen wirkt authentischer, es gibt eine gute Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen, die Portionen sind reichlich und die Preise human. Kritikpunkte sind nur die mangelhafte Hygiene der Toiletten, die unbequemen Sitzmöbel und das die Mitarbeiter zwar nicht unfreundlich sind, aber einen Blick haben, als würden sie einen am liebsten umbringen. Würde man den Imbiss optisch auffrischen und an genannten Kritikpunkten arbeiten, könnten die sich vor Ansturm vermutlich kaum retten. Denn der Kernpunkt - das Essen nämlich - stimmt schonmal.

Wer gut und lecker etwas indisches zwischendurch möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Sehr freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Schöner Platz zum draussen sitzen in der Goetheallee. Immer wieder gern.

Mein Lieblingsinder gleich um die Ecke meiner Arbeitsstätte. Gelegentlich gehe ich auch mit meinen 2 Kindern dort essen. Die nordindischen Gerichte sind lecker und auf Wunsch "spicy". Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und unkompliziert; kinderfreundliches Restaurant.

Gutes und schnelles indisches Essen, wenn man unter 10€ ausgeben möchte. Hier wird jeder Cent, der beim Inventar gespart wird, in die Qulität des Essens investiert.

Das Rani Dhaba ist ein klassischer Imbiß mit einigen Tischen im Innenraum und einigen Tischen draußen unter einer Markise. Die zahlreichen Hauptspeisen liegen im Bereich von 6-10 Euro. Das Samosa als Vorspeise war geschmacklich ganz OK und kam schnell auf den Tisch. Das Murgh Jalfreezi hingegen konnte nicht überzeugen. Das Gemüse erinnerte eher an eine TK-Mischung Gartengemüse (Möhre, Brokkoli, Zucchini und Blumenkohl). Für 7€ kann man nicht viel mehr erwarten, aber ein kulinarischer Durchbruch ist es nicht.

Meine Bestellung war gut und schmackhaft mit typisch indischen Gewürzen. Ich hatte auch bei der Bestellung darauf hingewiesen. Dementsprechend wurde gewürzt. Der chai Tee war nicht so schmackhaft. Da haben Gewürze gefehlt. Ich bin Liebhaber der indischen küche .

Hier wird man satt. Indische Küche von 6,50 bis 10 Euro ist nicht nur günstig sondern hier schmeckt es auch.

Ich esse gern etwas bei Rani Dhaba. Die Preise sind für indisches Essen sehr günstig und man bekommt tolle Gerichte. Ob vegetarisch oder mit Fleisch. Mir hat bisher alles geschmeckt. Es ist natürlich kein Restaurant sondern eher die Alternative zu McDonald's, BK, Dönderläden usw. Ich freue mich immer sehr über die Abwechslung in der Döner-Landschaft. Sommer, Sonne, Rani Dhaba, Studentenfeeling :)
