A fantastic lunch with excellent service. The wait time was perfectly reasonable and the service was very attentive. Furthermore, the dishes could be customized and every request was accommodated. There was also the option to convert various dishes into vegetarian or vegan versions. Truly excellent.

The ambiance is first-class. The service is very friendly, and the Indian food is highly recommended!

The food is very tasty, the portions are generous, but the service could be better. There's plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. We waited a little longer than usual for the food, but it was okay. The service was very serious, without a smile. I would like to see friendlier service next time. Another disadvantage is that you can only pay with cash.

Everything was perfect: the staff, the food, the atmosphere. Even though it looks rather unassuming from the outside, it's all the more cozy inside. We're already looking forward to our next visit. You should make a reservation, though, especially on weekends.

Unassuming from the outside, but very cozy inside, the service is attentive. If you have any questions or requests regarding a dish, you'll receive excellent information and detailed explanations. The food was a 10 out of 10, the homemade iced tea was a dream; I've never tasted such delicious iced tea. Highly recommended. We'll be back!

Bad Experience at Delhi Palace, Göttingen We were a group of six who visited Delhi Palace with high expectations. The restaurant was nearly full but not packed, as a few tables were still empty. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be very disappointing. We ordered starters and main courses, but nothing arrived for a long time. Only after complaining to the staff did the starters come, and even then, the main food was delayed for more than an hour. We later found out that the kitchen was busy with a party order, so in-house customers like us were left waiting. The quality and quantity of the food were average at best—certainly not worth the wait. The lemon juices we ordered were simply horrible. Service was sub-standard and completely spoiled our mood as well as our evening. As an Indian, I went in with great expectations of enjoying authentic food and hospitality, but sadly, Delhi Palace failed on both counts. Definitely not a place I would recommend.

Extraordinarily good food! Authentic taste, decent portions and served with great care. I had my delivery through lieferando, hotel reception was closed so they couldn’t deliver but when I called to check they came back!! Truly customer oriented. I have tried all other Indian restaurants around here and by far this is the only one with such quality and authentic taste. Will definitely use again.

It was our first time there. We received excellent advice and the food was delicious. The only downside was that it was noisy from the street outside and there was a lot of trash on the ground.

The mutton biryani and chicken biryani were absolutely exceptional—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spices, rich in flavor, and topped with delightfully crispy fried onions that added the perfect crunch. The starters, especially the chicken lollipop, were equally impressive—tasty, well-seasoned, and flawlessly prepared. The presentation was so tempting and visually appealing that I completely forgot to take any pictures before diving in! The drinks, including the refreshing lemonade and the deliciously tangy salted buttermilk, complemented the meal beautifully and remained enjoyable right through to the last bite. Both the quantity and quality of the food were truly commendable and exceeded expectations. The overall ambiance of the restaurant—both the cozy indoor setting and the pleasant outdoor area—added to the experience and made the meal all the more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and satisfying Indian cuisine in Göttingen. A must-visit for food lovers!

Super tasty and good value for money.....

I went there during India- Pakistan cricket match. Loved the food. Had daal makhni and it was served with rice, had naan too. Food was very delicious.

They are always happy to be there and are happy to surprise us with food based on recommendations that is not on the menu.

We went out to eat on Valentine's Day, unfortunately we had to wait a long time for a menu, drinks and food. Therefore only 3 stars. It wasn't until we wanted to pay that the waiter asked us why because some things in the evening didn't go according to plan due to staff absences. We happily accepted this apology. Actually, I rarely write reviews, but today I just have to praise it. We ordered a total of five dishes and were thrilled with each one - both in terms of taste and portion size. Given that it was Boxing Day, the delivery time was really good. The driver was also extremely friendly and accommodating - I haven't experienced anything like that in Göttingen for a long time. This combination of delicious food, good service and fast delivery convinced us. From now on we will definitely be one of your regular customers!

The best Indian restaurant in Göttingen! Tuesdays to Thursdays there are fresh fish dishes: the fried salmon and the halibut prepared according to the original South Indian recipe were incredibly delicious! We are very excited! The service is super friendly and the atmosphere is nice (finally a restaurant with a good lighting concept!) The homemade lemonades and lassis are absolutely recommended... We will definitely be back!

This is the second time we've been to the new restaurant, which speaks volumes for the restaurant, but we also liked ordering food there at the old addresses or eating straight into the restaurant. The selection is large and there is something for everyone, and personal wishes are catered for. The service is top, our group was warmly welcomed and we didn't feel neglected during the entire stay. The portions were sufficient, the price-performance was ok. There were enough parking spaces. We felt very comfortable in the rooms and were able to enjoy the food undisturbed. On a spontaneous short trip to Göttingen we stopped at the Delhi Palace because we like Indian food. The service was very polite and the food was very good. I had a Delhi Palace Special which was well put together and varied. The restaurant is conveniently located if you then want to take a walk through the forest to the Bismarck Tower or the game reserve. Thank you also for this recommendation from the waitress, which we were happy to take advantage of. We had a nice trip and had a very good meal.

Absolute favorite Indian in Göttingen. The food is always very tasty and reasonably priced, you just have to be careful as even medium hot can sometimes be very spicy. Highly recommended is the classic Chicken Tika Masala and the Bearded Chicken Fingers 👍

We already know the Delhi Palace from our time on Hansenstrasse and are still enthusiastic about the food and the service. Even dishes that are not on the menu can be ordered without any problems. Highly recommended are Dragon Chicken and Alu Chat. The staff is always friendly and very attentive.

Eating here is truly an experience. You really wonder how it is possible to get so much flavor into the dishes. The owner and all the employees are super nice and take a lot of time for their restaurant visitors. This is where you can really experience Indian food and culture. We absolutely love eating here and always come back! The delivery service is also great if you don't feel like driving to Göttingen or cooking!

At first an inconspicuous restaurant, but a cool atmosphere with an outdoor area and super friendly service. The food was visually and tastefully very, very good. The homemade lemonade was also very refreshing :-) A little tip: We like to eat spicy and ordered medium hot and found it very spicy 🙈 but still very edible :-) So it definitely wasn't the last time there for us 😋

A few weeks ago we had Indian food again after a long time and were absolutely thrilled with the food and the service. I've been back several times since then and tried different things. The daily recommendations are particularly special. We had sea bream in a banana leaf and fried quail yesterday. Everything fresh and lovingly prepared. The owner takes very attentive care of his guests and we felt comfortable all around. It should be so. We would love to come back and are looking forward to the next taste experience.

Delicious food for meat eaters and vegetarians! Also suitable for children of all ages. Children's chairs are also available. The staff is nice, attentive and quick. The prices are fair and good recommendations for food and drinks are also given. It is easy to reserve a table. There is enough space in the restaurant to maneuver a stroller, the atmosphere is cozy, the music is solemn but not too loud. The toilets are clean and well equipped. In the anteroom there is a changing table and even diapers. All in all, there's really nothing to complain about here and we'll definitely be back! :-)
