Pleasant atmosphere with good food

The food was delicious, but unfortunately, there were some significant problems with the service. We had ordered a vegan dish, which turned out to be vegetarian. Thankfully, the waiter noticed this before we started eating it. It was then replaced, but the next dish, supposedly vegan, arrived with chicken. We had already eaten the vegetarian salad, and only then did we realize that the rest of the dish contained meat. So, the dish was replaced again, and on the third attempt, it was finally vegan. This back-and-forth cost us an extra 20 minutes, and my companion had already received his meal. The next problem arose when we paid. The bill from the next table was mistakenly charged, and it was €30 more expensive, which surprised us. Clearly, there's room for improvement in the organization.

This restaurant has the best Indian food buffet on weekends. The staff is very nice. It has a variety of items in the menu.

We waited almost 1.5 hours for our food, which unfortunately wasn't as tasty as it used to be. If this continues, we'll look for a better alternative. What a shame!

Great restaurant in Göttingen! The service was excellent! The waiter was extremely nice and helped us choosing the dishes and explained all our doubts! Regarding the food, we started with the samosas. They were amazing, very crunchy! The dips were also delicious, combining very well with the samosas. Then we tried the thali, to experiment different dishes. The lamb one was very tasty and the other two chicken dishes were also good, although not my personal favourites. We also ordered the butter paneer which was our personal favourite!! I definitely recommend. The waiter told us that the paneer is organic and homemade, since the milk comes from a farm nearby. It was very fresh and soft. The naans were also organic and delicious! The dessert was exquisite but very good. Also, the portions were very generous. Finally the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, which made the experience even better. If you are looking for an Indian restaurant, this would be an ideal choice.

I had a very disappointing experience. My order was completely wrong, and when I pointed it out, the staff didn’t seem to care at all — instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, they argued with me. For the price (€40–€50 per person), I expected much better service and basic professionalism. Definitely not coming back. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Incredibly friendly staff and super delicious food :)

The food and service were truly top-notch. Above all, all vegetarian dishes are also available as vegan options. The staff took their time and were interested in how we found the restaurant, even explaining how, for example, the incredibly delicious paneer is made daily from local milk.

Is there some kind of system behind how much rice you get as a side dish with your dishes? There were two of us, and we only got one bowl. That was definitely too little for the amount of curry. We ended up ordering another bowl, which, contrary to expectations, cost extra. That was disappointing. Considering the price of the dishes, you shouldn't skimp on the rice. The food was very tasty, though.

We were passing through and this is our second time eating here and we'd love to come back. The vegetarian Indian menu was delicious, but the dessert was too sweet for me.

I stopped here with my companion for lunch on a Sunday. We sat in the restaurant. It was moderately busy. I ordered a large draft pilsner, and my companion a non-alcoholic cocktail. The drinks were OK. I ordered the large beer with the intention of bridging the wait with food, and had actually planned to have a Coke with it. The food arrived remarkably quickly. We had the Chicken Tikka Mesala and Butter Chicken. The flavor was good. However, I had the feeling the sauce was pre-cooked and not fresh, as experience has shown that such dishes take considerably longer to prepare. The fact that it was only lukewarm, despite the hot plates, confirmed my suspicion. The food was wholesome. Nevertheless, I felt that the price for each dish was disproportionate to the quality served, given that it had obviously been reheated. Despite all this, the service was okay, and the food was satisfactory.

We haven't had such good, and above all, authentic, Indian food in a long time – every single dish was incredibly deliciously seasoned and just the right amount of spice; the staff was friendly, accommodating, and welcoming! For us, the best Indian restaurant in all of Göttingen!

Very delicious and authentic Indian food. You can choose from mild, medium, hot, or Indian spices. If it's too mild for you, they'll be happy to add more spice.

These are really small portions; even the two ladies ordered extra rice and ate it all up...since it cost extra, the price is a bit high for such a small portion. The taste was okay.

The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was okay. The breaded and battered starter was practically unseasoned. The main courses (vegetarian) definitely didn't impress us! We had the impression that the vegetables came from the freezer. I would expect fresh vegetables in a restaurant. It was definitely better four years ago. I won't go back.

Colorful Indian dishes, just the way you'd expect them. My thali with meat is shown in the picture. They ask you how spicy you'd like each dish, which is very good. The only thing that could be improved is that you have to ask several times to pay.

The table was beautifully set with a clean tablecloth and a real candle, not some LED junk, which I thought was very nice. The service was very attentive and friendly. The ambiance was great. However, the butter chicken didn't really impress me. It was very tomatoey and lacked a lot of spice; it also lacked almonds or anything similar; I didn't taste cardamom at all. The Indian flair was slightly lacking. Otherwise, everything was great... I thought the €10 voucher offer was great; otherwise, we wouldn't have gone there. So keep advertising and spice things up a bit...

We are extremely disappointed with our experience today. We were delivered the wrong food, which is annoying enough. But to top it all off, we had to call to request a redelivery and then wait a full hour for the corrected food! On top of that, the food was spicy, which was not what we wanted. And as if that weren't enough, they didn't even add anything as a gesture of goodwill to apologize for the inconvenience. Considering it was my girlfriend's birthday today, it's even more disappointing... This is absolutely unacceptable.

I ordered food and drinks. When I ate I was simply given spiced ketchup as a dip. A Cola Zero was already open so we couldn't drink it anymore. Erdinger wheat was delivered instead of Krombacher wheat. Unfortunately there are a lot of criticisms for such a small order… Next time somewhere else.

I'm not really into extremely strong spice smells, but in this restaurant it was really pleasant, the spices weren't too intense. The food was really delicious!

My first experience with Indian food: I tried Indian food for the first time today and really loved it! The spices were intense but very harmonious. I was particularly impressed by the variety of flavors and the freshness of the dishes. At first I was a little unsure about the spiciness, but the food was perfectly seasoned - flavorful without being overpowering. The service in the restaurant was friendly and helpful, they also gave me good recommendations. Overall, a great experience that leaves you wanting more!

There is a buffet every Sunday. You can try out lots of little delicacies. My absolute favorites are the fried beetroot thalers and the coriander dip. The kitchen refilled tirelessly and the service was very warm and courteous. Gladly again.

Ordered a chicken vindaloo and a mango lassi. It's been a long time since I've had such an excellent Vindaloo Curry. The mango lassi was also very good. Delivery quick and very correct, nice and friendly. I would happily order again.

Very authentic and extremely tasty. Chicken garlic soup and garlic lamb are the best. Mango lassie not ripe enough for my taste though.

The food was way too salty. When I ordered more, it was again too salty. The sauce just tasted of salt and, to me, had nothing to do with authentic Indian spices. I've been eating Indian food for 10 years and worked in an Indian restaurant for 2 years, so I know what I'm talking about—hence my review. It's one thing to create a spicy sauce, but making it too salty has nothing to do with fine seasoning. On top of that, I had to wait 2 hours for the new food, and the delivery guy then yelled at me and seriously asked if his boss had told me to pay again. That's really quite rude and unprofessional.

Can not say enough good things about this restaurant! From the minute we arrived we were met with such friendly and helpful staff. We couldn’t decide on what to eat so we described what we liked (including spice level) and our server gave us suggestions. Mine was a dish I wouldn’t have normally chosen but it ended up being one of the most delicious Indian dishes I have ever eaten! Highly encourage anyone to try this place for an all around amazing experience!
