Excellent location near the stadium, about a 15-minute walk. The room was okay, and the spa area with its swimming pool was fantastic. Breakfast left nothing to be desired. There was a wide variety of options for everyone. The only downside was the extremely limited menu in the restaurant during home games. Eating out would be recommended. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to see the regular menu.

I've been staying in a freezing cold room for 3 nights. The heating isn't working, and despite reporting it repeatedly, the problem hasn't been resolved and I haven't been offered a room change. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. A complete disappointment.

In my opinion, this is by far the best Radisson I've stayed at. The service and staff are incredibly good and professional, from the breakfast buffet to reception. I also appreciate that they are clearly training apprentices at reception. Even better, I think it's great that the trained staff step in when things aren't going well, allowing the apprentices to learn. I'd like to remind everyone that this is a 5/5 review and bring two details to the management's attention: 1) It should be clearer how to get towels for the spa. Are guests supposed to bring their own? The spa itself only had small towels for the fitness studio (which was also the best I've ever seen in a hotel). Since the sauna uses textiles, I think this is important to know for hygiene reasons. Second) The soap/hand cream dispensers in the rooms should be regularly checked for functionality and refilled as needed. Our hand cream dispenser in room 326 was either broken or empty. As long as those are the only aspects I can criticize, because everything else was simply perfect, everything was done right.

The sauna has incredibly bright, glaring LED lights that are blinding. There are no light switches, no telephone, and no cell phone reception downstairs, yet parking is very expensive. The sauna is rather cold, but they do offer tea, only black or black tea with bergamot. The other lights along the wall flicker unpleasantly. There's also annoying music that can't be turned off. Dust on the walls and plastic flowers...

I've stayed there twice on business. It's a good Radisson standard. The rooms are attractive and the bed is comfortable. My room wasn't very large, but it was spacious enough and well-furnished. I would happily recommend it.

A wonderful hotel with a cozy room, except for the chair in our room, which was very old and shabby. We had to wait 40 minutes for drinks at the bar, but the food was delicious. Breakfast had a wide selection, and everything was delicious. I stayed with my children, and they really enjoyed it. The pool and sauna were clean. Overall, this hotel is a great place to relax.

We had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Dortmund and would happily return. Travelling as a family with our 7 year old, the hotel felt welcoming, comfortable and well suited to all of us. One of the highlights was the swimming pool and sauna area, which we all really enjoyed and found to be a lovely way to relax together. The Mood Restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet was a real treat — a great variety, beautifully presented and something everyone could enjoy, including our child. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. The staff truly stood out throughout our stay — friendly, professional and always happy to help, which made a big difference. Overall, a fantastic family-friendly hotel with great facilities and a warm atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it.

Check-in was a real highlight: The young woman at reception was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and professional – a genuine, warm friendliness that I haven't always experienced, even in some 5-star hotels. The staff in the breakfast area were also outstanding: attentive, helpful, and very pleasant to deal with. I was back in Dortmund for the first time in about 20 years and, to be honest, was initially a bit shocked by the state of the city. All the more reason why the consistently positive experiences at your hotel saved my stay and left a very good impression. Many thanks to the entire team – I truly felt welcome.

What was absolutely unacceptable was the external swimming lesson in the hotel's own pool. We booked the hotel specifically for its wellness and spa area, and then, when we wanted to go to the pool, we saw the children's swimming lesson taking place. Zero relaxation! This should be mentioned somewhere. We were barely allowed one lap to swim. The toilet flush in the room was broken, and the "do not disturb" sign was missing. There were two dogs in the neighboring room that barked immediately whenever anyone walked past the door. Netflix and similar services were also unavailable. While this didn't bother us much, it's standard practice in many other hotels these days, and I would have expected it from Radisson. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection.

This hotel only accepts cashless payments. This is NOT mentioned during the booking process.

Everything was great. Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice and friendly staff. Good breakfast and varied lunch menu. It's practically a Borussia Dortmund (BVB) hotel. The huge parking lot in front is probably just as lucrative as the hotel itself 😉

A beautiful, modern, and quiet hotel, right next to Westfalenpark. Unfortunately, the windows don't open properly, so you can't get enough air, so you have to rely on the air conditioning.

I was there for eight days on business. Everything was great. The only thing I'd like to mention is the breakfast; someone needs to be more creative with it in the future. The selection is better in some three-star hotels. But otherwise, everything was really good.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip. The staff is super friendly and excellent :-) There's a foosball table in the basement, and the reception staff are happy to help if you ask for a ball. The room was good, and I slept very well. The breakfast was varied, plentiful, and delicious. The latte macchiato with almond milk or lactose-free milk is recommended. The pool is a good size, and it was fun to use it. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay for me, and I'd be happy to come back if I can.

In today’s world, internet access is no longer a luxury — it is as essential as electricity and running water, especially for travelers who need to remain connected for work or personal reasons. What made the situation more disappointing was that when I brought the issue to the attention of the staff, it was met with indifference. The response suggested that this was a common complaint, yet no meaningful action was taken. Unfortunately, this lack of internet connectivity, coupled with the staff’s apparent lack of concern, overshadowed what could have otherwise been a pleasant stay. I sincerely hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and addresses this basic but crucial need.

Unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. One of the worst hotels I have ever visited – be it in terms of cleanliness, service or customer friendliness. The rooms were not cleaned properly and requests were responded to very slowly. I think management should seriously rethink the service because there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.

Expected more for a junior suit. Were there for the Barcelona - Dortmund football game. Unfortunately, as a hotel guest you didn't get enough service because of the footballers and managers. Location great! Cleanliness also great!

Small room with a symbolic wardrobe and a separate toilet and shower - both glazed. Unfortunately, water from the shower leaks into the room. On the plus side, comfortable beds. Access to the floor and room with a card. Good place for one night.

Hello, I stayed at this 4.5-star hotel from March 2nd to March 6th. The hotel doesn't even deserve 2 stars! Everything is outdated, the swimming pool was mediocre, competitive swimmers were swimming laps there without any consideration for anyone else. A small sauna, one of the two (broken) overcrowded! The buttons on the sauna showers were broken, so the water kept running. It takes the fun out of saunas. That's why I chose this hotel! I had to contact room service several times for refills of coffee, tea, etc. Everything was only available by card payment in the shop, and the prices were overpriced. I'm very disappointed, especially since I paid over €700 for 4 nights! I would never book there again and can't recommend it!

It's nice here but the restaurant is not overwhelming. Pool is cool. Didn't try the sauna but I love that there's a gym here too.

I stayed here with my children during a Borussia Dortmund home game. The price/performance ratio is more than okay. The room was clean. An extra bed was also organized for us so that a child can sleep alone. The pool is also clean and highly recommended for the children to splash around in :-)

A very poor price/performance ratio. Very friendly staff. A dog bed with a water bowl and dentasticks was also set up in the room. Very attentive! Unfortunately the room was shabby, was right next to a garbage dump (I also had a special price of 300 a night instead of 420) and had no heating in the bathroom. Instead of the heating there was a lot of mold. The spa was disappointing. Two very old saunas which were not properly tempered (50° and 80°). The pool is a pleasant size. By far the worst thing was the food. Loveless and underground. But it is served in the bar. I certainly won't stay there again.

This upper class hotel is on the edge of the city center. The large Westfalenpark is nearby. The Westfalenhalle is also not far away. Nice rooms. Reception friendly. Breakfast everything available.

Place feels a little tired and needs modernization, but high standards throughout

The hotel is very well located for visiting the trade fair, Westfalenhallen or stadium. Parking is very easy, either underground or above ground. There are sufficient parking spaces available. My room was modern, clean and flawless. But the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was really spacious. The staff was very nice. All the staff at reception, bar and restaurant were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet offers a very good selection for a good start to the day. The coffee was tasty too :)

Unfortunately our room was quite dirty and gave the impression of a love hotel. They apologized very kindly and offered further cleaning. Facilities are good and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

We paid just under €420 for 2 nights with parking (€20 per day). The room was ok so far, but the bathroom wasn't particularly hygienic. The hotel lobby is open for a long time, the hotel has a self-service shop but it is quite expensive. The staff is nice, the wellness area and the gym are great!

Arrived on January 3rd, 2025, the hotel looks very worn out from the outside. Block, gray and small windows. The front desk was nice and gave us our room cards. When we were in the room, the bathroom door was very dirty, otherwise small rooms... fresh towels... everything was ok. After the first day the teacup was still there after cleaning. After the 2nd day, shampoo and conditioner were still not changed when requested. We got 2 new towels even though we were 3 people. Mold on the bathtub, water when showering, running into the whole bathroom. All towels needed to dry the bathroom. Foyer cold, you have to run after the service...pool ice cold, sauna at 7 p.m. at 50 degrees..., overall in need of renovation, not comparable to Rostock, Berlin, etc.

Unfortunately not completely satisfied. We wanted to spend a nice weekend here, unfortunately that wasn't quite possible. Of two saunas, only one works, and even that would have to be renovated. The cleanliness is so mediocre. The pool area is okay, but the water is very cold, so you can't really stand it for long. The breakfast isn't really that special for me either, but that's a matter of taste. All in all we booked from Friday to Sunday but are canceling on Saturday.

Staff is friendly, breakfast was good. The bathrobes were missing from the room, but they were given to us immediately after we complained at reception Unfortunately, the Ginger Bar was a failure. Burgers and fries were lukewarm to cold. The burger sauce was missing on a burger. Waiting time was also very long. One sauna was not in use and therefore the other was overly full. Too bad.

We spent five nights in this hotel and for €880 per stay you would expect a lot more. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The bar and restaurant were closed, the pool was freezing, and one of the two saunas was broken - the other was constantly overcrowded. Towels were in short supply: there was only one set for two people, and towels were never refilled at the pool. There were also drunken guests who harassed other hotel visitors - no one from the staff intervened. The housekeeping was poor: beds were only made once a week, even though we left a tip. The room was not clean and the supposedly soundproof walls let in every sound. The staff was slow, so you often had to wait hours for requests. Even the water dispensers were constantly empty. Only the breakfast was good. But when I say a “wellness hotel” I definitely mean something different. Unfortunately, absolutely disappointing for the price.

We stayed at the Radisson blu in Dortmund for 3 nights and check-in went smoothly. There is a mini kiosk in the entrance with drinks and snacks The room was pleasant and the bed was very good. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the wellness area, the temperature of the pool was very low, the saunas were overcrowded, and the counter wasn't occupied. No service in this area. The breakfast was ok, unfortunately the ginger bar was closed. We first had to ask that this was not obvious, the delivery service drove up several times in the evening because there was no possibility of eating in the hotel. I would have liked to end the evening with my husband in the bar, but unfortunately that wasn't possible. Unfortunately my expectations were not met.

We were there for one night. The room was okay but unfortunately without a minibar. The windows close very well. The saunas need a new coat of paint. The pool guests can be 2 degrees warmer. The staff is super friendly and nice. We found parking too expensive at 20 euros for 24 hours. We will still come back and are looking forward to it

Our stay was overall pleasant. Initially we were given a room with separate beds, even though we were traveling as a couple. Fortunately, this was resolved at short notice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The nearby park of lights in the German Garden was charming. Particularly positive is the courteous and friendly staff, who were always helpful. A successful stay with small teething problems!

The Radisson Blu is located very easily accessible. By car from afar, by subway from the city. The rooms are good according to the category, as is the service. I just think the parking fees are a bit too high.
