Food was just fine. Atmosphere was quite good. Aunty didn't pack the rice. That was weird because I paid for the whole meal. But maybe you are eating my rice. Enjoy😁

The purest catastrophe! We waited almost 2 hours for food. The lady was very unfriendly and arrogant! A dish was delivered incorrectly...never again!!!

The food is really, really tasty. However, the repeatedly substandard service made us stop visiting this restaurant. It always takes forever (easily 15 minutes) for anyone to come to take drink orders and bring the menu. I don't want to say anything negative about the time it takes to prepare the food; it can take a long time if it's fresh. But also the clearing up and the desire to pay... it just takes forever, despite the fact that the store is relatively empty. A smile at one point or another might also be used. Very unfortunate. But we have now found a replacement in Bretten that we are completely happy with.

We had booked a table for 5 p.m. today. We arrived on time, a service employee was sleeping on a bench, didn't even get up and told us to come back at 5:30 p.m., we should leave. A thunderstorm was raging outside. What kind of service/service is this? What an impudence? When making the reservation a very friendly girl on the phone, but this treatment???? Never again!!!!

The Punjab in Karlsruhe is a hidden Indian gem that is definitely worth a visit. The food is incredibly tasty, even if you have to wait a while to order. The waiting time may be a bit long, but once the food is served you are simply amazed. The service also works well for larger groups. Overall, a clear recommendation for anyone who is patient and loves Indian food.

The food was good. However, not exactly cheap. Other Indians give you naan bread for free in advance. And for the relatively high prices, the portions are really small. The rice was put on the table a good 15 minutes before our food arrived, without a warmer. It was then cold until our food came. After the meal, no more service came by. We actually wanted to have a leisurely cocktail. After a good 20 to 30 minutes we went in to get someone we could pay to. We drank the cocktail somewhere else.

Were there last time and ordered a few things. If you know exactly what you expect, you will only be disappointed. The lady was very unfriendly I don't recommend it to anyone

The food was tasty, but really not cheap. Service wasn't that great. Even though there was almost nothing going on, we waited a long time.

I had to wait for more than three quarters of an hour for the food to arrive. I had also ordered a whole pot of green tea. Then when the food came from the kitchen, they also forgot to give me Indian bread and that for a small order??! As a self-collector!!!! Lieferando was there after me and was allowed to pick up their orders promptly and I was standing there as ordered and not picked up when I Dan. When I got home or at the hotel I was so looking forward to the meal. Suddenly in the middle of the meal, just before I had finished eating, I found a piece of wood similar to that. I thought it would be a piece of herbs for the taste. I have no idea. OK. Ordered food to pick up - 1x papadum (which was missing the sauces) 2x chicken tikka. One of which is spicy and one of which is not. I know that Indian cuisine is spicy, but both were indistinguishable in terms of spiciness. Furthermore, the food was unfortunately totally greasy and greased all the way into the plastic bag. Difficult if you transport it in the car. The meat was very tender and the rice was great as always. 1 chicken tikka masala = €17.50

Rude, unfriendly, disaster… Never again!!!! The boss with glasses was a horror and didn't come to us after calling us several times. And when she came she said something in a very rude way, she said “What do you want from me” And a very long waiting time. Completely catastrophic experience.

Worst service you can get in any Indian restaurant in Karlsruhe. The atmosphere was nice, but the staff do not know how to manage time. Our order arrived after sitting 2 long hours, which was horrible in my experience. The Indian lady with the glass was so mean. I think if she continues to work in that restaurant, it will be surely shut down soon. I will never recommend any of my friends to go there.

My recent visit to Punjab Restaurant Karlsruhe left me greatly disappointed. Despite looking forward to a satisfying dining experience, I encountered numerous issues that marred the evening. First and foremost, the service was subpar, particularly from one staff member who exhibited a rude demeanor throughout the meal. The lack of professionalism and courtesy significantly detracted from the overall ambiance and left a negative impression. While the food itself was passable, it failed to compensate for the poor service received. The flavors were adequate, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the discourteous behavior of the service lady. In conclusion, while Punjab Restaurant Karlsruhe may offer decent food, the lack of proper customer service greatly diminishes the overall dining experience. I hope the management takes note of these concerns and works towards improving the service quality to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future patrons.

Best Indian restro in Karlsruhe. I have never eaten very tasty food. Service, atmosphere, staff is very, very nice.

The food was good (lamb biryani), salty but balanced with yoghurt, it was really nice, but the wait was long. The waitresses were nice though.

Very tasty, tandoori vegetables burnt and couldn't be eaten. However, it protected the meat from burning. Service was a bit messy today and forgot the drinks.

Objektivität ist das eine ,Verunglimpfung das Andere. Wir haben das Lamb Birjani für 16,90 und das Prawn Birjani für18,90 gegessen. Die Portionen waren reichlich. Beide Gerichte waren sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Der Service war beratend und sehr freundlich. Stofftischdecken und Mundservietten für diesen Preis??? Wohl nicht zu erwarten. Obwohl in der Karte vorne die lange Wartezeit mit der frischen Zubereitung begründet wird, ist diese zu lang. Der Hemmschuh könnte auch Lieferando heissen? Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mit Freunden hier Essen gegangen, das erste mal Indisch. Der Service war leider nicht hilfsbereit, mehr patzig und arrogant, fragen nach Empfehlungen waren nicht erwünscht. Ein Lächeln wäre auch schön gewesen... extra scharf bestellt, war einfach nur würzig...Wärmeplatten waren eher nur deko. Wir kommen nicht wieder, sorry.

Wir haben leider 1,5 h auf unser Essen gewartet. Es kann immer mal vorkommen, dass es länger dauert, aber dann könnte man doch Bescheid geben. Wenn ich die bisherigen Rezessionen so lese, dauert das Essen wohl immer sehr lange. Der Service war auch sehr unaufmerksam. Die unfreundliche Chefin hat uns abkassiert und keinerlei Entschuldigung geäußert, dass es so lange gedauert hat. Beim Bezahlen kam nicht mal ein „Wiedersehen“. Das Essen hingegen war sehr lecker.

Bestes indisches Restaurant, in dem ich je war. Chicken Tikka... Ein Gedicht 😉 Wie man an vielen Bewertungen hier sehen kann, ist der Service echt nicht der schnellste, aber man wird definitiv mit einem richtig guten Geschmack belohnt! Also einfach etwas Zeit mitbringen und dafür richtig lecker essen! Trotzdem natürlich ein kleiner Kritikpunkt.

I would like to share an experience which I have never come across: I came here for lunch at 13:30 and when they came to take my order, they already mentioned that the order will take time and we were completely fine with it. My order came at 14:35(after an hour) which was incomplete and at 14:45 I asked them for an additional piece of naan and the remaining gravy, the Punjabi waitress working there gave me the remaining part of the gravy which had only oil and not actually a gravy and said me that the kitchen is closed. I said her that I got the order just now and to my surprise, following were the response: 1. I can't do anything for you, how can you expect me to make for you in the kitchen. 2. She said- We also have other things in life to do so we can't do anything for you. Is the service you expect in a restaurant? Being an Indian as well, she was so rude to us. What a horrible experience. I would not at all recommend this restaurant to anyone. Only go there if you are fine with the rude behavior and waiting for hours.

The food was absolutely amazing. If you want authentic Indian food THIS IS THE PLACE. Do not hesitate to go there I can guarantee the food will satisfy you (I had butter chicken and it was so good)

Awesome place to have a nice authentic Indian meal, ambience is cosy and great, food is made to perfection and the owners are genuinely friendly. The lentil soup is just perfect, their Tandoori's gravy is probably the best Indian gravy I've ever had (including my time in Dubai). Highly recommended by all means!

Sehr schlechter Service. Wir waren eine große Gruppe und es gab noch eine weitere große Gruppe. Wir haben zur selben Zeit reserviert (genau als das Restaurant geöffnet hat) Trotzdem wurde die andere Gruppe vor uns bevorzugt. Wir haben 2 Stunden gewartet mit zwei kleinen Kindern. Wir hatten ausdrücklich darum gebeten denn Kindern eventuell irgendwie essen vorher zu bringen. Diese Bitte wurde nicht aufgenommen und ganz klar ignoriert. Zudem wurde eine Bestellung falsch aufgenommen und als man darum bat die richtig Bestellung zu bringen wurde ein Ultimatum gestellt, dass man doch das was jetzt schon zubereitet worden ist nehmen soll oder 5 Stunden warten soll. Eine reine Frechheit. Zuletzt noch zu erwähnen ist, dass wir ausdrücklich erwähnt hatten, dass es sich um eine Geburtstagfeier handelte. Ein bisschen mehr Verständis für diese Umstände wäre angemessen gewesen. Und ganz klar wurde der Liefer Service vor allen Anwesendem im Restaurant bevorzugt. Das Klingeln des Telefons war dabei auch sehr störend und irritierend. Essen war gut aber nicht 2 Stunden Wartezeit und Frechheit vom Service Wert. Wir werden nicht wieder hingehen.

Also essen war echt gut, aber dass man 20 Minuten warten muss, bis man überhaupt bedient wird ist schon sehr lange. Nichtmal nach Getränken wurde man gefragt und das Essen kam dann erst nach 50Minuten, nachdem man bestellt hat. Das kann man wirklich nicht unterstützen sorry.

Wir gehen immer wieder gerne hin, auch mit unseren Gästen. Das Essen ist wunderbar. Das Ambiente sehr nett. Es gibt auch einen der besten Mittagstische in der Stadt. Der Service ist freundlich. (Leider haben sie sich mit Lieferando eingelassen und müssen Lieferando-Bestellungen bevorzugt bedienen. Daher kommt es ab und zu mal zu längeren Wartezeiten.)

La nourriture est excellente, le cadre magnifique rien à redire. Par contre le service… Lent et ils ne comprenaient pas ce qu’on voulait. La serveuse nous demande si on veut les entrées avec les plats en même temps nous sommes très clairs et disons oui mais nous recevons tout séparément 🤷🏼‍♀️ et avec beaucoup d’attente alors que le restaurant est quasi vide. Un enfant demande deux entrée différente comme plats, la serveuse hausse les yeux au ciels et se permet de juger ce choix.. euh ? Je crois que le métier de « service » n’a pas été très bien compris. Mis à part le service, le restaurant est délicieux, les plats excellents et traditionnels. Le cadre est dépaysant et magnifique ! Je suis végétarienne et j’avais beaucoup de choix !

Although it is labeled as an authentic Indian the food is pretty average, with some highlights. They do have an outside seating area as well as indoor. I think they could be much better if they focus on the service and improve the speed of everything.

Das Essen war wirklich gut, der Service nicht der schnellste. Jedoch gingen zwischendurch auch einige Essen außer Haus, was alles ein wenig verzögerte. Erst wurden die Speisen mit einem Nachbartisch vertauscht und dann haben wir festgestellt, dass eins unserer Essen komplett falsch war. Auf Nachfrage wurde dies wirklich schnell neu zubereitet und serviert.

Es ist immer wieder klasse, dort zu sein, weil es einfach der beste Inder ist in ganz Karlsruhe, geschmacklich vom Fleisch und von den Soßen, perfekt zubereitet und einfach lecker.

Punjab, ein indisches Restaurant mit Stil und leckerem Essen. Tolle Atmosphäre, sehr nette Eigentümer. Und das Essen ist sehr gut und reichhaltig. Von Gemüse, vegetarisch, Fisch, Fleisch ist für jeden etwas dabei. Gerne kommen wir wieder

Essen war super. Alles andere war unterirdisch schlecht und langsam. Bin fast verdurstet. Nach 10 Minuten gab's die Speisekarte. Eine habe Ewigkeit später durften wir Essen und Trinken bestellen. Dann wieder ewig warten. Irgendwie ging alles in extremer Zeitlupe. Schade, das Essen war toll, aber sowas von Nicht-Service werde ich ich mir nicht noch einmal angedeihen lassen.

Ausgezeichnetes indisches Essen. Hier erlebt man eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion dank der vielfältig und dosiert eingesetzten Gewürze. Immer wieder gerne!

Sehr gutes Essen mit jedoch langen Wartezeiten. Ich war bereits mehrfach vor Ort Essen, das Essen ist immer super. Allerdings sind die Wartezeiten so gut wie immer unverhältnismäßig. Egal ob am Mittag oder am Abend sollte man sich damit abfinden können auch mal >45min auf das Essen warten zu müssen. Auch beim Essen abholen werden die angegeben Wartezeiten massiv überzogen.

Eigentlich Wohlfühloase beim Mühlburger Tor; wenn da unpassend, die LIEFERANDO-Quälgeister nicht anhaltend ein- u. ausgingen. Kein Ruhetag; Terrassenbewirtschaftung; auch Mittagstisch. Helle Einrichtung mit weissen Tisch decken und Stoffservietten. Das indische Betreiber-Ehepaar ist bereits 18 Jahre vor Ort und betreibt zZ den Service in Eigenregie. Exzellente Küchenleistungen! Jedes Gericht wird mit individueller Sauce serviert. Besonders zu empfehlen: Nr. 40 Chicken Tikka (€ 17,50) = mariniertes Hühnerfleisch (Butter-Chicken) mit div. Gewürzen und im Tandoor zubereitet + Reis. Gleichfalls äusserst lecker: Nr. 50 Lamm Bengen (€ 16,90) = Lammfleischstücke mit gegrillter Aubergine, Zwiebel, Ingwer, Knoblauch u. Tomaten, gebraten, ebenso + Reis. Für 0,5 Ltr. BÜBLE Lagerbier werden € 4,90 boniert; der RADLER 0,4 schlägt mit € 3,80 zu Buche. Resümee: Die Preise sind "ausgereizt"; hindert uns aber nicht, unbedingt ein Wiederholungsbesuch einzuplanen. PS: Weshalb bleiben auf der ansonsten gelungenen Homepage, die Preise unerwähnt?

Also das Essen ist phantastisch. Die Wartezeiten sind zur Zeit wirklich sehr lang, zum Teil über eine Stunde zwischen Bestellen und Servieren des Hauptgangs. Vielleicht aktuelle Personalengpässe. Aber: das Warten lohnt sich!! Köstlich!

Wir lieben indisches Essen und kommen deshalb sehr gerne und sehr häufig ins Punjab. Es ist immer lecker. Unser Favorit ist das Chicken Tikka Masala. Auch das mit Kartoffeln gefüllte Naan-Brot ist ein Traum. Der Service ist herzlich, auch wenn das Lokal voll ist.
