Punjab in Karlsruhe

Ich war im Punjab in Karlsruhe und war wirklich sehr zufrieden! Besonders das Chicken Mango war super lecker, schön würzig, cremig und perfekt abgeschmeckt. 😋 Auch der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich hier direkt willkommen. Definitiv eine Empfehlung. Ich komme gerne wieder! 🙌

Fünf Sterne, wenn Sie zufrieden sind. Ich habe den langsamen Service bemängelt, und anstatt darauf einzugehen, haben Sie spekuliert, dass indische Kunden aufgrund von „Vorurteilen gegenüber Punjab“ Ein-Stern-Bewertungen abgeben. Das ist eine bemerkenswerte Art, auf Kundenfeedback zu reagieren.

Das Restaurant spielt auf hohem nevaeu. Das essen von uns war frisch und top lecker. Jedoch braucht das Service team unbedingt mehr personal. 2 sind am Wochende zu wenig, dass habe ich länger beobachtet.

Super Lamm Tikka und bester Service in Karlsruje

Ich war spontan dort und durfte mir eine Auswahl der Köstlichkeiten bestellen. Es war einfach nur fantastisch.

Ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Das Lamm Tikka ist eine sehr gute Mango!

Ein perfekter Ort für heiße Sommertage – dank der Klimaanlage ist es drinnen sehr angenehm. Das Lammfleisch war ausgezeichnet. Ich kann besonders das Gericht M08 empfehlen – wirklich sehr lecker!

Sehr leckeres und authentisches Essen

Leider war mein Besuch enttäuschend. Der Service war extrem langsam, und wir mussten über 40 Minuten auf unser Essen warten. Die Gerichte schmeckten nicht authentisch indisch, und die Gewürze waren so mild, dass das Essen nicht wirklich indisch schmeckte. Aufgrund meiner Erfahrung kann ich dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

Wir haben Lamm Tikka und Chicken Tikka bestellt. Ganz ehrlich sowas hat man nicht überall. Der Punjab ist bisher unser bestes indisches Essen, was wir gegessen haben. Der Service war super weiter so und Danke.

Das Essen hier ist so köstlich, aromatisch, frisch zubereitet und liebevoll, dass ich mein ganzes Umfeld hierhin in den Jahren geschickt habe. Jedoch, gibt's etwas, was mich ziemlich ärgert: die Inhaberin, die öfters ins Gespräch mit der Kundschaft kommt (zwar gut per se), macht aber echt oft (zumindest bei mir ist fast jedes Mal so) übergriffige Kommentare- Madame, das muss echt nicht sein, wenn ich Feierabend habe und entspannen will. Z.B. einmal war ich mit Freunden und deren 8-jährigen Junge da, der ein pinkes Oberteil an hatte und die Inhaberin fragte, ob er ein Mädchen wegen Pinktragen sei. Madame, das ist ein eich schlechter Witz, denn nicht nur dürfen Menschen alle Farben tragen, aber das Kind hat nicht mehr gegessen, weil Sie es ausgelacht haben. Ein anderes Mal war ich mit einer älteren Freundin da, und da dachte die Madame mich zu fragen, ob das meine Mutter sei - auch noch Ageistin. Danke für nichts. Meine Freundin war auch echt unglücklich danach. Usw., usw. Mittlerweile bestelle ich nur noch von Punjab, weil glaub, wenn Sie nochmal so etwas tut, könnte es krachen. Bitte, lassen Sie es mit übergriffigen Anmerkungen.

Fantastisches indisches Essen und großartige Gastfreundschaft.

Wir waren dort gestern mit meiner Familie dort essen in grosser Runde und es war wie immer wunderbar. Geschmacklich und vom Service her das beste indische Restaurant in Karlsruhe.

Wir hatten ein Firmenessen für Besucher aus Indien, das Essen war unglaublich und die Besitzer auch!!

Die Lieferung kam nicht bei mir an, aber wurde gemäß Lieferando-App geliefert. Die richtige Lieferadresse hatte ich mir dem Fahrer geklärt und fairerwise auch Trinkgeld in Aussicht gestellt. Nach Kontaktaufnahme mit Lieferando würde die Bestellung nun offenbar storniert, es sind mir also keine Kosten entstanden, ABER ich habe Zeit und Nerven investiert und bin immer noch hungrig.

Große Auswahl an leckeren indischen Gerichten und freundlicher Service.

Schönes Ambiente und köstliche Küche.

Gestern Abend hatten wir hier ein fantastisches Abendessen. Wir kennen uns mit der indischen Küche aus. Wir bestellten Dal Makhani, Tandoori Bhattha, Tarka Dal, Tandoori Chicken und Gemüse-Korma. Es hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Zum Abschluss gab es ein köstliches Dessert: Kulfi und Mangocreme. Auch sehr lecker. Wir können dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Chicken Biryani bestellt, 17,50€ bezahlt. Was kam: Gekochter Reis mit Tomatenscheiben. Kaum Fleisch, kaum Gewürze. Wer den Geschmack von echtem Biryani kennt, weiß wie weit das vom Original entfernt war. Das ist kein Biryani. Das ist Reis auf einem Teller mit nur Tomaten. 17,50€ dafür zu verlangen ist einfach nicht okay. Sehr enttäuschend.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Unglaublich schönes Restaurant!! Haben bisher nur bestellt, waren als Familie zu fünft mal persönlich anwesend. Essen war alles unglaublich lecker, leider mussten wir sehr lange auf unseren Hauptgang warten. Das Personal ist sehr nett, wobei die Frau immer etwas unverständlich spricht. Es war sehr voll, aber der Geräuschpegel war sehr angenehm, man konnte sich gut miteinander unterhalten und war trotzdem abgeschirmt von den Gesprächen der benachbarten Tische. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir sind spontan Samstagabends vorbei gekommen und haben direkt einen Tisch bekommen. Super Service, das Essen kam schnell und war ausgesprochen lecker! Und als wir noch die übrige Soße mitnehmen wollten, wurde uns noch eine komplette Portion Reis dazu gepackt und es sieht so aus, als wäre auch mehr Soße reingefüllt worden, also nochmal ein vollwertiges Essen umsonst! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ich habe heute über Lieferando Essen bestellt, musste die Bestellung aber nach 1,5 Stunden Wartezeit leider stornieren. Mein Essen wurde bis dahin nicht einmal vom Kurier abgeholt. Als ich Lieferando nach dem Grund fragte, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass der Kurier im Restaurant wartet, das Restaurant die Bestellung jedoch ständig hinauszögert. Ich bin hungrig geblieben und dementsprechend extrem genervt. Falls ihr hier bestellen wollt, solltet ihr es euch zweimal überlegen.

Essen 10/10 Ambiente 5/10 Parkplätze 9/10 Preise 7/10 Service 3/10 Das Essen ist einfach erste Sahne !!!! Allerdings ist die Bedienung (Chefin ?) sowas von unfreundlich das uns etwas den Abend verdorben hat. Dazu muss man sagen das die Raumtemperatur auch ziemlich "kühl" war. Wie haben gefroren.

Das Punjab Restaurant ist ein echter Geheimtipp für Liebhaber der indischen Küche. Die Speisen sind geschmacklich hervorragend, aromatisch gewürzt und werden frisch zubereitet. Man merkt sofort die Qualität der Zutaten und die Liebe zum Detail in jedem Gericht. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die verschiedenen Curry-Gerichte sowie das zarte Fleisch und das fluffige Naan-Brot.

Das Punjab Restaurant überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Die Speisen sind unglaublich lecker, aromatisch und authentisch gewürzt – man schmeckt die hohe Qualität der Zutaten und die traditionelle Küche. Der Service ist freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, und die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und einladend. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Ein echtes Highlight für Liebhaber der indischen Küche und definitiv eine klare Empfehlung!

Tolles Ambiente und super Essen. Das Chicken tikka schön würzig leicht scharf mit einerseits weichem andererseits knusprigem naan dazu. Der Reis schön locker. Das Lamm tikka nasalst butterzart, sehr fettig aber auch geschmacklich top, Achtung scharf. Und das Lamm biryani war so schön buttrig und auf den Punkt gewürzt

Wir kommen schon 20 Jahre ins Punjab. Hatten dort unser erstes Date.... Sitzen seither immer am selben Tisch. Das spricht für sich. Jederzeit zu empfehlen...

We've been visiting Punjab Restaurant for many years and are always delighted. All the dishes are delicious and freshly prepared – you can really taste the care and experience that goes into cooking. We especially appreciate the wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which aren't just "side dishes" but truly creative and incredibly flavorful. It's a family-run business, which we are very happy to support. The lunch menu deserves special mention: it's served extremely quickly without compromising on quality. When it's busy, there can be a slightly longer wait, but that's perfectly acceptable to us – after all, everything is cooked fresh, and the quality is consistently high. Overall, a warmly run restaurant with excellent food and a diverse selection. Highly recommended!

I went to the Punjab Restaurant and had Chicken Tikka Masala – simply delicious! The meat was tender, the sauce aromatic, and the service warm and welcoming. A truly wonderful experience that I highly recommend.

We were in Punjab with our family and were thrilled with the delicious food. The food was also pleasantly spicy, which we loved. The drinks were also really tasty; we had mango lassi and coconut milk with pineapple – highly recommended. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive.

Delicious food and a packed restaurant on a Tuesday evening. Friendly staff and a great location. The quality is exceptional, and it's clear they don't skimp on quality. Lamb tikka masala and mojito. A real treat.

The food tastes bad and is of very low quality. The service in the restaurant is unprofessional and disrespectful. The staff behaves very inappropriately towards customers and drivers. Furthermore, I was refused entry and physically assaulted by a staff member. Based on these experiences, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.

The food is very good, but punctuality and time management are truly terrible; plan at least two hours for dinner. We ordered for pickup, weren't there at the specified time, and it was delayed by 20 minutes. Thirty minutes later, we were ready to pick it up again, and it took another 40 minutes. There were 20 minutes between the first and last orders, so the first one was already cold.

We've been waiting for our food for two hours…

This is my third time ordering from here. The first two times were great, but I just received a Malai Kofta delivery that was unfortunately inedible. The bag was completely greased, the sauce was 70% pure fat, and the kofta were soggy. I couldn't even eat half of it. This is quite annoying, as the dish costs almost 20 euros.

A lovely, family-run restaurant. The food is delicious and of consistently high quality for many years. They have a great lunch menu with good value for money.

The restaurant's ambiance is lovely and inviting. Unfortunately, my husband and I still didn't have a pleasant evening there. We ordered drinks, soup as a starter, and main courses. When the soup was served, I found a hair in it. That's not nice, but it can happen. I sent the soup back, and a waiter came back and explained that I had only seen herbs. They brought me another bowl of soup. When I had eaten half of it, I had a black hair in my mouth (apparently, I was simply given the same soup again). What was particularly bad, besides not being taken seriously afterward (I expected a fresh bowl of soup), was that instead of apologizing, they assumed it was my hair (I'm fair-haired). They reacted very rudely when I showed them the hair and told me the chef was bald. We paid and left. I understand mistakes happen, but the way it was handled was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We won't be coming back. The service was very poor.

No amount of good food or ambience can compensate for the unwelcoming attitude of the person attending the customers. Although the food and ambience was good, the person attending the customers lacked hospitality. Felt unwelcomed right from the start. With this kind of good location, food and ambience only a little change in attitude can do wonders in increasing the business. Hope the owners take the review in positive stride. All the best.

Honest experience: they hate Indian customers. The difference between the way they treat us and other Germans is clearly evident. We waited for 1 hour just for 3 simple dishes. When we asked the young waiters, they, with zero manners, ignored us. Then when we directly went inside to ask again, they give a stern look and ask “Taste chahiye ki nahi?” I wanna ask, would they have the balls to treat a German like this? Absolutely disgusting. Shame

We really enjoyed our evening at this Indian restaurant. They have a wide selection of dishes, and each of our three dishes tasted absolutely delicious :) I highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely terrible experience, twice in a row. Ordered from this restaurant and specifically told the lady on the phone that we wanted the food with less oil. She agreed, but what we received was half food, half oil, no exaggeration. I could literally fill a full glass with the oil that came out of it. Still, we decided to give them another chance the next day, big mistake. When we called to explain the mess from the previous night, no one bothered to answer at first. When the lady finally picked up, her tone was rude and dismissive - “Yes, I got your order, why are you calling?” After telling her about the issue, she simply blamed the chef and said it’s not her fault. The food that arrived then was even worse, swimming in oil. This kind of service and quality is unacceptable anywhere, let alone in Germany. Totally careless, unprofessional, and disappointing. Avoid at all costs.

I've experienced every Indian restaurant in Karlsruhe, and the Punjab Restaurant is a different caliber. I'm absolutely thrilled! The lamb tikka was perfectly prepared – tender, juicy, and wonderfully seasoned. You can immediately taste the fresh ingredients and authentic spices that make the dish so special. The side dishes were also perfectly matched. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. I will definitely be back and can recommend the Punjab Restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine!

You feel like you're in a palace. Given the pleasant ambiance, you might think the food here wouldn't be that great. However, the food here is even better. Some are better than others, but the service could be improved.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service. Even though it wasn't busy, it took a very long time for our food to be brought to our table. At that point, a dish was missing, and it hadn't been brought to our table for 30 minutes (and would have been forgotten if we hadn't asked). We then said we'd like to take our leftovers with us, but they were never brought to our table. After waiting 20 minutes, we were fed up and left. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back anytime soon.

We're really disappointed. We've been there twice already, and both times it was just terrible. It takes forever to get served (first you're ignored, and then when you ask if you can finally order, you get snapped at). The staff and owners are unfriendly, the food is nothing special, and both times I felt very sick after eating. We certainly won't be going back.

First of all, the food here is truly amazing and delicious. The ambiance is very nice. We've been here several times, and it's always been very good. However, in the last few months/years, the service has declined significantly. The service last time, however, surpassed everything. The owner/waitress was unfriendly, slow, inefficient, and forgetful. We were the first to enter the restaurant and received our menus quickly. From then on, things went downhill. It took 45 minutes to order our food. In the meantime, other guests arrived who had placed their orders before us. At that time, another server started serving. Then there was another hour wait for the appetizer and another 45 minutes for the main course. A main course and a side dish were forgotten. 15 minutes after complaining, the forgotten dish arrived. When the rice ran out and we ordered more, another 15 minutes wait followed. After another question about the rice, we were told that it had also been forgotten. We've been in the restaurant for almost three hours now and haven't seen dessert yet. Even before dessert arrived, our patience ran out, and we asked for the bill. Dessert arrived, and we asked for the bill twice more. After another 15 minutes, we finally went up to the bar and paid there. After three hours and 25 minutes, we finally left the restaurant. During the entire time, the restaurant was only half full. Overall, the food was fabulous, but the service overstretched our patience and more than spoiled our appetite. We'll order next time, but we'll think carefully about whether we want to continue supporting the restaurant. In any case, it's clear that a visit to the restaurant is no longer recommended.
