Restaurant Sangam in Karlsruhe

We used to eat at the “old” location more often and thought the restaurant had completely closed down. Discovered again by chance and immediately reserved a table. The food is still amazing. Fresh, tasty and simply an experience when the Chicken Tikka is served. Absolutely recommended and the price/performance ratio is definitely right.

Rarely have I eaten such delicious Indian food, searched for a long time and finally found it.

Essen wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Menu: Suppe, Lamm und Huhn. Nachtisch ebenfalls. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Gänge dauerten relativ lang, obwohl wenig los war…. Zeit einplanen.

Wonderful and delicious food and lovely staff.

I have ordered here several times and eaten there too. The food was without exception very tasty, the best butter chicken I have ever eaten in Karlsruhe! The driver was always very friendly. The small negative point is that you can only pay in cash upon delivery. But that's not worth deducting a star for me :)

I've eaten here a few times. Well-seasoned sauces, delicious naan and friendly service. It is also positive that the sauces are kept warm in the middle of the meal and you get a small starter with papadum and three sauces at the beginning.

Very good food, everything nicely designed, staff very accommodating, would come here again and again. The outside area is well sealed off from the street and is also nice to sit on

Very varied selection of dishes and drinks, nice staff, food tastes very good.

I've already tried Indian food in other places and it's not even close to being so spicy and seasonings cover up the flavor of the food and it doesn't sit well with demanding stomachs, but good for tastes, the colors are another experience.

Small, simple dining room, service staff is friendly. The food is very tasty.

Simply on the Karlsruhe disgust list... How could you do something like that to your customers without a guilty conscience ?

Danger! This restaurant was also already on the disgusting list.

We went there to eat without any great expectations. The food was really excellent. There was nothing to complain about. Service was also top. Only the look wasn't so typically Indian. Rather cool/modern. But it's primarily about the food, and it was very good. We will happily go there again.

We have ordered here twice. On the first attempt the order came an hour late. The second time I ordered, no food arrived at all. I can't say what it's like in the restaurant, unfortunately the restaurant is very disappointing when it comes to delivery.

For me the best Indian restaurant in Karlsruhe. Ambiance, well, I'll say typical. But the food, both in the variety of selection and in the taste - simply great. And of course, everyone is incredibly friendly! The portions are really big, so we always take whatever is left with us for the next day. That is also no problem.

Finally a place with good Indian food even though it is very modified for Germany. The only place where I saw Malai Kofta on the menu.

Probably the most authentic Indian restaurant in the region. Despite me trying not to get hyped about the samosas after reading the reviews, they were well beyond my expectations. Samosas felt like home. The other dishes included vegetable biriyani, malai kofta and karahi paneer and everything was good. I haven't had malai kofta before so I wasn't aware that it was supposed to be sweet and creamy, it was still delicious and with reasonable prices. I definitely want to revisit.

Large portions that tasted very tasty. The best naan bread I've ever eaten was there too. The staff was also very friendly. We will be back definitely.

Food is delicious. Unfortunately, you don't get the discount (10%) that is promised for people who collect it themselves. Apparently only if you pay cash. It's nowhere. So a bit disappointing.

Das Essen ist gut, und preislich angemessen. Der Bestellservice funktioniert allerdings nicht, trotz Bestätigungsmail wussten sie im Restaurant nichts von einer Bestellung. Zum vor-Ort-essen sehr zu empfehlen, wer abholen oder liefern möchte mit Online-Bestellung definitiv nicht.

Essen schmeckt gut, doch die 10% Rabatt bei Selbstabholung werden nicht nur nicht automatisch abgezogen, sondern auch bei Nachfrage nur ungern gegeben. Erst nach Vorzeigen deren Homepage habe ich 5% statt der dort aufgeführten 10% bekommen. Eine Frechheit!

Food was OK but the service was super slow and inattentive. Even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, it took a long time to get the menus and have our order taken. Then it took 50 minutes for the starters we had ordered to arrive. The entire time Lieferando deliveriers were going out so I guess if you're sitting in the restaurant you're a second class customer and your food gets cooked when the kitchen finds some time for it between delivery orders. Btw, during the whole time we were waiting the waiter didn't show up once to see if we needed anything or to let us know our food takes longer to arrive.

Sehr gutes Essen, mit freundlichem Service, in einfachem Ambiente. Der Geschmack der Speisen ist hervorragend. Nicht viel anders als in Indien. Insofern lohnt sich ein Besuch im Sangam.

Wirklich sehr leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service. Das Ambiente ist mit dem Fliesenboden nicht ganz so gemütlich, für ein romantisches Dinner nicht gerade optimal, aber durchaus ok.

Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen! Gute Portion und der Preis ist demnach völlig in Ordnung. Kann ich mit bestem Gewissen weiter empfehlen der auf indische Küche steht! Der Service war auch schnell. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön ausgestattet mit Brunnen und Lichtern die die Atmosphäre abrundet. Zum Abschluss gab's noch ein Absacker.

Gute indische Küche leicht "eingedeutscht" trotzdem kam die Gewüzvielfalt sehr gut im Gaumen an. Mittagstisch mit Tomatensuppe vorab und einem Chicken Tandori und gut gewürztem Reis. Bin mal auf ein Abendessen gespannt...

Für uns das beste indische Restaurant. Wir waren schon zweimal zum Abendessen dort. Sehr leckeres und würziges Essen. Angefangen mit den fluffigen Papadams, zu denen drei Soßen gereicht werden. Die Chilisoße war sehr angenehm gewürzt und cremig. Beim Hauptgang (Huhn und Lamm) viel Soße und sehr viel Fleisch. Beide Fleischsorten sehr zart. Wir waren total angetan. Eine sehr freundliche Bedienung kümmerte sich um uns. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt noch öfters. Auch das Ambiente im Innenraum gefiel uns sehr gut. Nicht so überladen wie in anderen Restaurants. Wir waren/sind sehr zufrieden. Derzeit eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants.

Good quality and good price. It tasted more authentic than other similar indian places in Karlsruhe. Loved the Kahari Paneer. Sadly, the pakora was missing in the Dahi Pakora (we had the food delivered).

Went to my birthday dinner with family and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The interior was beautiful, the staff was very friendly and helpful. All dishes tasted fresh and were served hot Nice and clean interior !! Recently renovated. Great polite staff. We were really well looked after. The food was incredible, definitely worth the price. There was a great choice on the menu. Excellent presentation and the background music was nice and relaxing.

We've tried most of the Indian restaurants in Karlsruhe, and Sangam is by far the nicest. Lovely vegetarian dishes, and really good samosas.

Tasty food, friendly cozy atmosphere overall, nice spot to visit, not in my photos but especially loved the naan, it was quite big portion fluffy and delicious

Das Essen ist fantastisch <3 sehr lecker! Die Wartezeit etwas lang und der Service etwas chaotisch.

Leckeres indisches Essen, allerdings direkt an der Straße und somit nicht sehr idyllisch, obwohl sich die Betreiber mit einem Holz-Palisaden-Zaun Mühe gegeben haben, die Freifläche vom Gehweg abzugrenzen.

Ich war mit Kollegen zum Mittagessen hier und wir haben von der Mittagskarte bestellt. Meine Suppe war sehr lecker, das Hauptgericht (Lamm mit Spinat) völlig okay. Einer der Kollegen hatte ein anderes Lammgericht und kaum Fleischstücke im Essen, er war nicht zufrieden. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich. Leider ist der Außenbereich des Restaurants direkt an einer Ampel einer der Hauptverkehrsachsen der Stadt gelegen - wenn dort bei rot ein Lkw hielt, war eine Unterhaltung unmöglich. Wäre das Sangam in einer Nebenstraße gelegen, würde ich im Sommer sicher häufiger hingehen.
