Einfach nur klasse !!! Ein sehr nettes familienfreundliches Restaurant. Das Essen, der Service und diese gastfreundliche Art, eine 10/10!!! Vorspeise, eine sehr leckere scharfe Suppe. Hauptgang, Kokos Curry, einfach wow !!! Dazu Nan Brot und verschiedene Soßen. Wir waren eigentlich schon voll, doch dann kam die Nachspeise, indisches Eis mit einer kleinen Kugel süßes Gebäck, lieben Dank dafür und für das unvergessliche Erlebnis. Wir kommen wieder

Ich habe dieses indische Restaurant vor Kurzem besucht und war von der Gastfreundschaft begeistert. Das Essen ist köstlich. Man kann die Gerichte nach Belieben anpassen und es wird dafür gesorgt, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Leckeres Essen, freundlicher und schneller Service. Ich komme wieder.

Das Personal und der Besitzer waren sehr freundlich. Die Atmosphäre war charmant und typisch indisch. Die Portionen waren riesig. Vor dem Essen bekamen wir Papadam und Salat. Auf Empfehlung des Personals bestellten wir Kadai Chicken als Hauptgericht, das mit Reis serviert wird. Dazu bestellten wir Naan und Mango-Lassi. Das Mango-Lassi war authentisch und einfach köstlich! Das Kadai Chicken war, wie gewünscht, scharf, aber der Geschmack könnte noch etwas intensiver sein. Meine Freundin bestellte Chicken Tikka Kebab, das wirklich gut schmeckte. Zum Schluss bekamen wir noch kostenlos heiße Gulab Jamun und einen Mangosaft-Shot – eine nette Geste. Ich hatte schon einmal Biryani probiert und war nicht so begeistert. Es ist also Glückssache. Insgesamt war es ein gutes Erlebnis und ich werde weitere Gerichte probieren, um zu sehen, welche ich empfehlen kann.

Lamb Saag recht gut - der Ingwer frischt diese Mahlzeit auf. Das Byryani 74 etwas zu salzig. Mango lässig in Ordnung, Kokosnussmilch+Ananas hingegen wirklich süß. Vorspeise Ramtoori Raita Vorspeise schön erfrischend.

Wunderbares und sehr angenehmes Restaurant. Das Essen ist fabelhaft, die Gastgeber sind aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen ist wirklich immer sehr sehr gut, selbst unsere indischen Freunde gehen gerne hier essen. Der Chef schaut immer etwas streng, aber er legt Wert darauf dass alles perfekt ist.

Eines der ältesten indischen Restaurants in Karlsruhe und immer noch eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants! Ich gehe immer wieder gerne dorthin, besonders wegen der vegetarischen Gerichte. Meine Standardbestellung ist Chole Bhature (sehr zu empfehlen!), dazu Aloo Paratha und Kulfi zum Nachtisch. Heute habe ich warme Gulab Jamun mit frischer Sahne probiert (wie auf dem Foto) und sie waren unglaublich lecker und authentisch. 😋 Das Restaurant hat ein klassisches, traditionelles Ambiente mit echtem indischem Flair. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die sich nach authentischen indischen Aromen sehnen!

Very delicious food. We've been returning for years. The dishes they conjure up are always amazing. We're happy to come back.

The restaurant is generally good, but a bit dated. The service, especially the politeness and friendliness of the staff, could be improved. Some of the staff's German skills are not sufficient. The portion sizes are sufficient even for those with large appetites. The meat is tender and the sauces are tasty, but there is little variety. We find the prices largely reasonable. Overall, we are satisfied, although some aspects don't completely convince us.

Excellent restaurant in Karlsruhe. We recently gave a bulk order for our party. The team is very nice. The food quantity, price and the punctuality is excellent. You need to pick and return their utensils. The service provided by the team is very welcoming. Highly recommended!!

The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the restaurant overall is very nice. I had the butter chicken with rice and naan. Highly recommended. My only criticism is the staff. I don't know if it was just a bad day, but they could have been friendlier (perhaps because it was a Monday). We'll definitely come back, because otherwise everything was perfect. So, definitely recommend it. :)

Very nice at Maharani. The food is excellent. It's tailored to the European palate. But if you like it spicy, you'll love it. Very well seasoned, the aromas of the spices are savoured. I've never eaten such tender and delicious chicken. We'll be back, of course!

Starters: - Vegetable Samosas – Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, served with tangy tamarind and mint chutney. -Chicken Tikka– Tender, smoky, and marinated in rich yogurt and spices, grilled to perfection. 2. Butter Chicken – A creamy, tomato-based curry with succulent pieces of chicken. The balance of spices was excellent, though I would have preferred a slightly richer gravy.

I recently visited Maharani Restaurant in Karlsruhe Durlach and had a wonderful experience! We ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and Butter Naan, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. To our pleasant surprise, they also offered us a complimentary Mango Lassi, which was refreshing and a perfect way to end the meal. For me the best Indian restaurant and has been for over 30 years.

This was the third time we've been to this restaurant with a group and we've unanimously decided not to go back. The food is okay, but basically every dish tastes the same. The absolute worst thing about this restaurant, however, is the service!! We had to wait over 20 minutes after ordering a drink! When nothing came, we ordered again!! The staff are apathetic! The manager, in particular, is very rude!! They don't even ask if anyone else wants anything! Half of our dessert order wasn't even brought. And the worst part: As soon as you've finished eating, an intrusive server stands at your table, demanding your payment so the next guests can be seated. Sitting comfortably and having another drink is not welcome here!!! One star for the service. But only because someone took an order at all!!! Not recommended!!

What we noticed, however, was that the facility seemed a bit old and run down. With a little more care and a small update, the ambience could be much more pleasant. We've been coming for years, but unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worse. When we made the reservation, we were given a table for 90 minutes, even though there were still so many free tables. It was just stressful, not a relaxing dining experience. As we ordered, the manager's phone rang and he ran off. That's rude. The samosas were still cold inside, and as soon as I wanted to say that, the main courses came out in a flash. The waiters kept jumping around frantically, and the manager was shouting his instructions loudly. The rice we ordered later was also overcooked. That's not the quality we were used to. I don't know if we'll come again.

It was surprisingly busy, but we still managed to find a spot. The service was friendly and uncomplicated, accommodating guests' requests and even improvising on occasion, like moving tables. The food wasn't too Germanized, but pleasantly authentic, healthy, beautifully presented, and delicious. 🙏

It was okay, but nothing special. I probably expected more based on the reviews. The waiter was very attentive with the order, but you had to ask several times when your drink would arrive or the side dishes were missing. The appetizer plate for two people was unfortunately not worth the money. I ordered extra spicy for the main course for just under €30, but unfortunately, it wasn't even spicy... It was nice, but I won't be going back again, which is a shame.

We had various pakoras with dips for starters. And for the main course, two classics: chicken tikka masala and palak paneer. It was delicious, and I highly recommend the restaurant.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. They customize the spice level according to you and the food is always fresh, piping hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend their murgh shorba if you desire comfort of rich indian soup, love their naans, soft and fluffy. We enjoyed over chicken karahi and samosas (flaky and flavourful). The service is what makes the whole experience even better.

Catastrophic. If I could give 0 stars I would give 0 stars. I ordered to pick up by phone 2 days ago. Rice was mushy, sauce had a sour taste and the chicken had the consistency of the sole of my shoe. Of course, a stomach ache was a logical conclusion. The very next day the food smelled as fermented as if it were 2 weeks old.

I have been to the Maharani Palace many times. The spacious rooms offer a lovely setting for family meals or with friends. Most of the time it is rather quiet as it is not in the center of Durlach. So it's more of an insider tip. The selection and quality of the food was always excellent and the prices are absolutely fair. We recently ate a three-course menu with an aperitif for the second time and paid around 30.00.
