It was ok, but not that special, I guess I expected more according to the reviews. Waiters very attentive when ordering, unfortunately you have to ask several times when the drink is coming or the side dishes are missing. Starter plate for 2 people, unfortunately wasn't worth the money. I ordered extra spicy in the main course for just under 30 euros, unfortunately it wasn't even spicy... it was nice but not a second time, a shame

Very good food Clean and well maintained

For starters we had various pakora with dips. And two classics for the main course: Chicken Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer. It was very tasty and the restaurant is highly recommended.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. They customize the spice level according to you and the food is always fresh, piping hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend their murgh shorba if you desire comfort of rich indian soup, love their naans, soft and fluffy. We enjoyed over chicken karahi and samosas (flaky and flavourful). The service is what makes the whole experience even better.

Catastrophic. If I could give 0 stars I would give 0 stars. I ordered to pick up by phone 2 days ago. Rice was mushy, sauce had a sour taste and the chicken had the consistency of the sole of my shoe. Of course, a stomach ache was a logical conclusion. The very next day the food smelled as fermented as if it were 2 weeks old.

I have been to the Maharani Palace many times. The spacious rooms offer a lovely setting for family meals or with friends. Most of the time it is rather quiet as it is not in the center of Durlach. So it's more of an insider tip. The selection and quality of the food was always excellent and the prices are absolutely fair. We recently ate a three-course menu with an aperitif for the second time and paid around 30.00.

It's was a good experience after a long journey to have some delicious Indian food. The food was really good and we all like it very much especially the tandoori, naan, rice, chiken tikka masala etc. I don't recommend the biriyani since it was okay only. But the rest of them are very good and the service was also perfect. Thanks for the delicious food.

Been there once for dinner, didn't feel it was dinner being served but instead raw masalas, the chicken tikka masala was not the expectations, tried the biryani, it was sweet rice instead with dull flavours. The lassi was good though. The best dish were the starters (papadam) and the butter garlic naans. Won't be recommending my knowns to this restaurant

A beautiful Indian restaurant in Durlach. We have been going there repeatedly for about 30 years. It's super tasty, clean, hygienic and the ambience takes you to another world. We also sometimes order food there to pick up. This is very quick with a maximum waiting time of 20 minutes. They prefer cash payment as the device sometimes goes crazy. But a card works accordingly. Only recommended! Quality for 30 years!!

It's one of my regular food spots. Fantastic curries, polite staff and fair prices. I've never had a negative experience. If you want to have a curry within the region, I highly recommend it.

I went to this restaurant twice. First time was really good. Food is delicious and service great. Second time visit was on Valentines Day. It was fully booked. The food served pretty fast but it was not tasty at all.

We have been coming to the Maharani Palace for more than 30 years and have recommended many friends and acquaintances here. Among other things, we even had the regulars' table for our graduating class again last night! It was super tasty, whether vegetarian or with meat. The service is top, drinks and food are quick, even though the restaurant is almost always completely full. We can fully recommend the Maharani Palace, be sure to reserve seats by phone!

The food and restaurant ambience were ok. The staff was super unfriendly. Suddenly our food was cleared away and the bill was handed over. We were in the restaurant for a total of 1 hour before we were very intactfully forced to leave.

I was really shocked by so many positive reviews.. The table was still dirty, the floor wasn't clean, the plants were dried out and covered in cobwebs.. Pictures were attached with masking tape, the dishes were left in the 80's, the staff was listless and the food was poor at all nothing.. haven't seen anything so bad in a long time..

Wir erhielten einen sehr unfreundlichen Empfang. Der Tisch wurde und mit Kopf-in-die-Richtung-weisend zugeteilt. Die Tischdecke war noch vom Vorgänger bekleckert und wurde nicht ausgewechselt. Der Salat war lieblos und billig in der Auswahl. Dem Essen fehlte es an der indischen Raffinesse und dem: Das Auge isst mit. Wir werden es nie wieder besuchen und auch nicht empfehlen!!!

Choose them to cater for an event for about 7 people and the food was superb. The portion size was very generous and would have been sufficient for 10 to 12 people. Would highly recommend.

Hier gibt es indisches Essen, das größtenteils nicht scharf, aber trotzdem angenehm exotisch gewürzt ist. Die Karte bietet viele Auswahlmöglichkeiten für sowohl Vegetarier als auch Fleischesser an. Man wird sehr freundlich bedient, und das Ambiente ist angenehm.

Das "Nebenbei"-Brot ist gefährlich lecker. Daran kann man sich schon vor der Bestellung satt essen. Das Prinzip der Gerichte auf den Warmhalteschüsseln ist perfekt dafür geeignet, um auch von den Tischgenossen noch etwas ab zubekommen. Auch Vegetarier kommen hier nicht zu kurz. Verfeinern kann man mit allerlei Soßen, die dazu gereicht werden. Wenn man davon immer noch nicht satt geworden ist, dann spätestens von dem lecker lockeren Reis, den man immer wieder nach bekommt um damit die restliche Soße vom Teller aufzusaugen. Wer sich nach dem Essen gerne hinlegt, nimmt am besten den hinteren abgeschirmten Platz mit den niederen Tischen mit Bodenkissen. Parken in der Nähe ist jedoch Glücksache. Ein paar Schritte nach dem Essen, tun jedoch bekanntlich gut. Alles in allem ein empfehlenswertes indisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal.

Haben bestellt und abgeholt; 20min Zubereitungszeit, Essen war pünktlich fertig und lecker. Zudem eine Flasche Mangolassi aufs Haus. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich - das wurde jedoch am Telefon auch vorab mitgeteilt.

Das Essen ist sehrrr lecker, wir holen gerne dort ab, nur schade dass es keine Mehrwegverpackungen gibt ;)

I have been ordering from this restaurant from almost past 2 years. The taste is like what Indians do actually eat back in India. Specially the paneer and naan. Paneer is made as home and naan is super soft and smoky. I highly recommend this place. Best Indian place in whole Karlsruhe.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen. Die Kurkuri Bhindi Vorspeise war sehr gut. Das Karahi Murgh hatte sehr zartes Fleisch, das Gericht selbst war eher unscheinbar. Der Minzdipp war super gut! Das Essen kam sehr schnell, ein wenig zu schnell, was etwas Unruhe reinbringt.

Wir waren das erste mal indisch essen und es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir wurden freundlich und schnell bedient und mussten auch nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht und Tisch vorbestellen ist ratsam. Das Lokal selbst ist in meinen Augen indisch eingerichtet sogar die Stühle sehen geschnitzt aus. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal kommen und weitere Gerichte probieren. Angenehm für uns war, dass es Gerichte für Fleischesser aber auch genug Gerichte für Vegetarier gibt.
