Even though it was super crowded on Saturdays, it still had very good service and very tasty food. Without additives etc. There is a very beautiful terrace in the backyard, elegantly covered.

We enjoyed a delicious and very good menu for two. The service was friendly and attentive. All the tables were beautifully set, and the room was pleasantly air-conditioned. We were there on a Thursday. We were completely satisfied and will definitely eat there again.

I visited the restaurant around 7 PM with a few friends, hoping to enjoy some light evening snacks—something quite common at that time of day. However, we were unexpectedly refused service simply because we weren’t interested in ordering a full-course or lavish dinner. This rigid policy came across as unwelcoming and left us feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. What was meant to be a relaxed outing turned into an unpleasant experience. I sincerely hope the management reconsiders its approach towards guests who wish to enjoy a casual snack without being pressured into a full meal.

Very classy food for a great price. I just wanted a delicious Indian dinner around the corner and found myself in a very chic and well-run restaurant. The interior is decorated in an elegant style. Outside on the terrace, you can enjoy some peace and quiet. The staff are all very polite and accommodating. The staff pay great attention to cleanliness and good manners. The food was delicious, quick, and excellent value for money! I wasn't expecting such a "fancy" restaurant and felt a bit out of place, but that's more my fault than the restaurant's! So if you're looking for delicious, affordable, and chic food, I can highly recommend Maharaja.

I had an absolutely outstanding Baingan (Bengen) Bharta / Roasted Eggplant with Tomato. One of the best I've ever had. In the restaurant it was a nice change from other Indian restaurants that it was modern and chic. A little dark perhaps. The service was very friendly and helpful. I would come back at any time.

Such a good place! Usually im not a big fan of Indian food but my friend said to me it’s a very good restaurant. And it was!! Was so surprise, everything was so perfect, light but delicious, the service is really good. There’s two waiters, a woman and a man and both were so professional and kind. I will coming back soon!

Wonderful place, nice decor and friendly staff. For my British friends, it's not as spicy as you'd find in most Indian restaurants in the UK. I had the vindaloo, and I would put it at around the level of a madras in the UK, just. They give fair warning that it is European spicy on the website. It was, however, delicious and full of flavour. One thing that really pleasantly surprised me was the couple of bits pomegranate, it really worked well with the dish, inspired. I'm not sure I'll ever be back in karlsruhe, but if I am this place will be on my list of places to eat.

The two chai teas are great and go very well with main courses (if you drink tea) Very nice staff. You sit comfortably.

The service was discreetly reserved, yet as present as necessary. The restaurant is also very well maintained and attractive thanks to the cloth napkins. Nevertheless, an almost sterile, cool impression emerged. The cuisine has completely submitted to European tastes. Pakoras, samosas, chicken tikka masala, and lamb korma therefore didn't have a strong statement of their own. Only the garlic naan was great and went well with everything.

On our second visit, this time we went to the Maharaja with a couple who were friends of ours. We were again served in a very friendly manner, the everything around, right down to the cloth napkin (which we particularly value), the quiet, relaxed atmosphere - we were able to enjoy this evening very much. We are happy to travel 53 km to get to this Indian restaurant. We love Indian food and have finally found "our Indian".

We sat in the beautiful garden yesterday and enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent and very friendly, and I really liked the ambiance! One small negative: it wasn't quite as aromatic as I'm used to from Singapore's indigenous Indian cuisine. Still, 4 out of 5 stars! Spicy could be a bit hotter.

The restaurant, to be honest, is nice. It is located in the mall on the second floor. Its price is a bit high compared to other Indian restaurants, but if you want food, you will enjoy it there. I saw that they have outdoor seating, but I expect that they haven’t opened it yet. It will be very nice. I recommend it. The people in the restaurant are respectful and their work is nice. I tried their chicken biryani + tikka masala + salad. All the dishes were nice. Enjoy to all of you.

Last Sunday , we were so tired and hungry then we were welcomed with a smile and very positive atmospher in Maharaja , we ordered krahi paneer, tarka daal and some naan. As we were eating, feeling the exact Delhi taste. Absolutely recommend. Especially for vegetarian on reasnable price. Staff was so friendly and quick.

Just a great restaurant. Quite unremarkable from the outside, but once you're inside, it's a totally cozy and upscale atmosphere. The service is very friendly and attentive. Individual wishes are taken into account and the spiciness of the dish can or should even be addressed individually. Overall, I can only recommend this restaurant. Price-performance is unbeatable.

I was invited to Indian food today at the Maharaja Indian Restaurant in Karlsruhe near the main train station. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I entered the restaurant by how beautifully and elegantly tastefully decorated it was, and by the friendly welcome. And the menu was also very good. Ordered via Lieferando, delivery time was quite long for a meal at 50 minutes, but things got even worse after the 50 minutes were over and the delivery time was repeatedly updated to 55+min... Not very customer oriented, very bad impression. no recommendation for the delivery service!

The service was mostly friendly and attentive, but after the main course there was no one from whom you could order drinks for a long time. The ambience is very appealing and everything is beautifully designed. Unfortunately, the food is too German-style for me. The many good Indian spices, and I don't just mean spiciness, don't come through enough in my opinion. Good average, but nothing more for me.

My husband and I stopped there on the occasion of a short vacation in Karlsruhe. I would like to mention that my husband is Indian. We both enjoyed it very much. It is really appetizing, fresh and tasty. The restaurant is not one of the converted former German restaurants, but has been specially designed. I found the effect of a reflective ceiling very interesting, in which the lighting was also reflected upwards, giving the impression that the room was larger towards the top, a bit palatial. The lights were dimmed and so it was a relaxed, calming atmosphere and a pleasant break. The staff is friendly. I also liked that you get the bill and then the money is picked up again when you pay in cash. So you can spend your money in peace. We will definitely eat there again next time we are in Karlsruhe.

Most pathetic restaurant ever! The waiters and overall staff does not know how to talk to customers. Food was worst. Save yourself some time and calories and never visit this place.
