Ordered via Lieferando, delivery time was quite long for a meal at 50 minutes, but things got even worse after the 50 minutes were over and the delivery time was repeatedly updated to 55+min... Not very customer oriented, very bad impression. no recommendation for the delivery service!

The service was mostly friendly and attentive, but after the main course there was no one from whom you could order drinks for a long time. The ambience is very appealing and everything is beautifully designed. Unfortunately, the food is too German-style for me. The many good Indian spices, and I don't just mean spiciness, don't come through enough in my opinion. Good average, but nothing more for me.

We've eaten here twice now and will definitely come back a few more times. The service is really great. Not too little, not too much. The food tastes delicious and the ambience is really great. A nice, clean restaurant.

For me the best Indian cuisine in Karlsruhe. A little higher priced, and quite small portions - but absolutely worth the money! We recommend.

My husband and I stopped there on the occasion of a short vacation in Karlsruhe. I would like to mention that my husband is Indian. We both enjoyed it very much. It is really appetizing, fresh and tasty. The restaurant is not one of the converted former German restaurants, but has been specially designed. I found the effect of a reflective ceiling very interesting, in which the lighting was also reflected upwards, giving the impression that the room was larger towards the top, a bit palatial. The lights were dimmed and so it was a relaxed, calming atmosphere and a pleasant break. The staff is friendly. I also liked that you get the bill and then the money is picked up again when you pay in cash. So you can spend your money in peace. We will definitely eat there again next time we are in Karlsruhe.

Most pathetic restaurant ever! The waiters and overall staff does not know how to talk to customers. Food was worst. Save yourself some time and calories and never visit this place. Not worth anyone's time! Not at all kid-friendly. So, if you looking to visit with family and kids, please avoid at all cost.

Wir waren aufgrund eines festlichen Anlasses hier und waren sehr begeistert. Tolles Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen und zuvorkommendes Personal. Gerne wieder!

Geschmacklich muss man sagen war es okay. Also nichts besonderes. Ich habe schon besser indisch gegessen und weniger bezahlt. Leider war der Preis doch etwas sportlich. Zudem kommt dazu, dass man immer aufgrund des engen Innenraums die Menschen am Nebentisch reden hört. Finde es unangenehm, da sich die Lautstärke immer weiter hoch dreht . Zum Service muss man sagen, dass es rund war. Die Herren war aufmerksam und nett. Jedoch muss ich aufgrund der Preise einen erneuten Besuch ausschließen.

Sehr freundlich und tolle Küche mit vielfältigen Gerichten

Das Maharaja bietet eine gute indische Küche. Wahrscheinlich die beste in Karlsruhe. Mit vielem anderen waren wir aber nicht zufrieden. Das Lokal ist extrem eng bestuhlt, so dass man seinem Nachbarn fast auf dem Schoß sitzt. Mit zunehmender Gästezahl steigt auch die Temperatur im Raum in unangenehme Höhen. Vermutlich auch aufgrund der hohen Gästezahl war die Bedienung recht langsam. Eigentlich alles Dinge, die man relativ einfach abstellen könnte. Man müsste nur die Zahl der Plätze ein wenig reduzieren. Wer an einem Wochentag kommt, an dem das Lokal nur halb belegt ist, kann sich allerdings an einer wirklich schmackhaften indischen Küche erfreuen.

Das erste Mal indisch und wir waren beeindruckt. Wir waren eine große Seminar-Gruppe und hatten daher vorbestellt und tatsächlich alles kam zusammen. Der Service war zuvorkommend und das Essen super lecker. Absolute Empfehlung für jeden der indisch liebt oder mal gerne gute indisches Küche ausprobieren möchte.

Das Essen war köstlich und die Kellnerinnen waren sehr angenehm und freundlich. Leider war ich nur zum Städtetrip da,sonst würde ich regelmäßig dort essen gehen. Wirklich top!

We visited the restaurant on 30th Sept and were fortunate to find a place during busy hours. We are vegetarians and eat food without Onions and Garlic so it is normally very difficult to find the right authentic balance of taste and texture in most of Indian restaurants in Germany. What we tried : Palak Paneer ( was served with white rice by default), Dal Tadka, Butter Roti, Naan, Kashmiri Chai, Masala Chai, Samosa The Chef here I believe is Trilok ( ex-Taj Dubai ) does amazing job. They don’t have an elaborate menu as compared to other restaurants we tried in Karlsruhe, but in Taste they will beat others hands down in what they offer. We had 3 visits this trip and will come back in next trip here.

Das Essen hat wunderbar geschmeckt. DIE Bedienung war durchweg aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Die Atmosphäre ist ruhig und angenehm. Ich habe das Restaurant als sehr gepflegt wahrgenommen.

Leider überbewertet. Essen kleine Portionen, kein Gemüse beim Fleisch dabei. Wir hatten u.a. auch den Heilbutt, sehr stark nach Fisch gerochen und geschmeckt - nicht frisch. Service leider nicht gut, lange Wartezeiten, ohne winken wurden keine Getränkebestellungen nachgefragt. Location aber schön.

Food is really good..worth visiting...if you are going to Karlsruhe or passing by then you must have lunch or dinner there. We tried 2 times and food was really good ..u can find parking on the back side of the restraunt.

In der Nähe des Hauptbahnhof Karlsruhe gelegenes indisches Restaurant. Das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet und das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist gut. Ich hatte Linsensuppe, Papadam und Chicken Tikka Marsala.

Sehr schöner sauberer Inder mit kleiner Terrasse hinten raus. Das Essen ist sehr fein, man könnte sogar sagen delikat, da die Gewürze perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt sind. Wenn man jedoch großen Hunger hat und keine Vorspeise möchte sind die Portionen der Hauptspeise hinsichtlich des Preises zu klein. Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Super indische Küche in einem wirklich sehr schönen Ambiente, mit sehr freundlicher, lächelnder und dabei vornehm und dezent zurückhaltender Bedienung. Gestärkte weiße Tischdecken und alles liebevoll dekoriert und nicht kitschig. Es gibt auch einen schönen Biergarten im Innenhof, ebenfalls schön eingedeckt. Nun zum Wesentlichen. Das Essen war mega. Von den Vorspeisen über die Hauptspeisen bis zum Nachtisch. Alles sehr schmackhaft, gut gewürzt und liebevoll angerichtet. Toll ist auch, dass man das Restaurant in der Nähe vom Hauptbahnhof so genial aus allen Richtungen mit der Bahn erreichen kann. Wir werden nun öfter dorthin zum Essen gehen. Glasklare Empfehlung!

Samstags zwar mega voll, trotzdem sehr guter Service und sehr leckeres Essen. Ohne Zusatzstoffe etc. Im Hinterhof ist eine sehr schöne Terrasse, edel eingedeckt.

Wir waren schon zum dritten Mal dort. Das Essen ist hervorragend, man schmeckt die einzelnen Gewürze heraus und die Qualität ist spitze. Da die Gerichte aus Nordindien stammen, sind sie i.d.R. nicht scharf, so dass es wirklich ein Gaumenschmaus ist, der nichts mit fad zu tun hat. Auch die Mitrbeiter sind allesamt sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und lachen auch mal gerne mit. Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl dort. Herzlichen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft.

Ich war hier mit meiner Tochter anlässlich ihres bestandenen Examens. Bei der Reservierung habe ich einen Blumenstrauß als Sonderwunsch angefragt, der zum Selbstkostenpreis erfüllt wurde und sehr gut aussah (siehe Bilder). Als Vorspeise, habe ich da wir beide Indisch Neulinge waren, eine nicht auf der Karte vorhandene Vorspeisenvariation bestellt. Dies wurde super und sehr lecker zusammengestellt. Puuh, fast schon satt kam unser Hauptgang. Entgegen unserer Befürchtungen war das Essen angenehm mild. Wir hätten auch schärfer bestellen können, darauf hat uns die sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung beim Bestellen schon hingewiesen. Der Hauptgang war auch sehr lecker. Das abschließende Dessert, wie immer, hat auch noch reingepasst. Insgesamt 2 sehr zufriedene Gäste, eine Super liebenswerte Bedienung und inkl. Getränke (ohne Blumenstrauß) Euro 87,--.
