Jaipur Golden Indisches Tandoori Restaurant in Karlsruhe

The food was perfect. Everything was very tasty. The service was also good. We really liked it! We have been to many Indian restaurants in Karlsruhe and we particularly liked it here. We will definitely come back.

As a visitor who had reserved a table at Jaipur Golden, our expectations were high as the restaurant is praised for its authentic Indian cuisine. The reservation went smoothly and we received a friendly welcome. The ambience is pleasantly designed, with decorative elements that convey a touch of India. However, the interior lacks the wow factor that could set the restaurant apart. We decided on a mixed appetizer plate, which was visually appealing, but the price was quite high. The taste was good, but not exceptional, so we wondered if the price was really justified. Another disturbing point was the placement of our table near the front door. Every time this was opened we got an unpleasant cold draft which made the evening less comfortable. This further dampened the atmosphere and is something that should be considered better when placing tables. The toilets didn't leave a good impression either. They are in the basement which was very cold, which is particularly uncomfortable in winter. In addition, there is a lack of necessary inventory, such as changing facilities for mothers and children or facilities for disabled people. This suggests that the needs of all guests are not adequately addressed here. The service was friendly and attentive, which added some value to the experience. But overall the feeling remained that you were paying more for what was on offer than it was actually worth. If you like Indian cuisine, you can definitely try Jaipur Golden, but there are also alternatives in the region that offer better value for money. Our conclusion: a solid restaurant with weaknesses in some details, but nothing special that we will remember in the long term.

The most delicious food served with great hospitality in an ambience filled with melodious Indian classical music. The aesthetics of the place is also a plus point.

We mailed them to reserve the Table before 2 weeks … we did not get tha place. Then we thought go directly and then eat even it was 5:30 Pm and they just opened the Restaurant they did not welcomed us. We did not get the chance to eat but now no more interested in visiting them.

The food is simply very tasty. Unfortunately the service is not good. Twice we were brought something different than what we ordered. We simply accepted the drink and complained about the starter. Apparently this caused such annoyance that we were the only ones who didn't get a free mango schnapps with the bill that evening. And that with a bill of 100€ for 2 people. Unfortunately, it wasn't the first time that the service didn't make such a good impression.

It is very nicely decorated. There are a few waiters there, so you don't have to wait long to be served. Everything is very clean and the decor looks nice. It's very cozy. The menu is large and clear. The portions are generous and really tasty. Tastes traditional and special, just the way you want it. Ordering food or taking it away is also possible.

I'm here first and ordered a starter and main course. It was very tasty, I would love to come back. Service is also very friendly.

We made a reservation for 1:00 p.m. The restaurant was very poorly heated. The facility is pleasant and clean. The toilet was also very clean. The service barely understood German, so the wrong dish was served. My main course, tandoori mix, was mistakenly served without lamb. The portion of the sauce was far too small in relation to the rice. No sauces are served with Naam. The competition can do that better! Overall we enjoyed it very much. Nevertheless, the overall package and the price-performance ratio were disappointing. We won't be coming back.

We walked in on a Wednesday evening to dine in looking at the good reviews but we were in for a bummer. The staff said that reservation is a must. We suggested that we could make a reservation and wait there for 15-20 mins but the staff said that they are fully booked for the night, although the restaurant looked quite empty. The staff has a really bad attitude. Here's a piece of advice, you attract people by your attitude and hospitality FIRST and then keep them with the quality & taste of your food. Funnily, we checked back on bad reviews of the restaurant (on our way to a good restaurant nearby ;) ) and most of them are on the exact one I am writing about. Maybe next time someone comes by, give them a chance to also review your food!

Food very tasty but not particularly spicy

I was there for the second time on Friday, November 8th, 2024 and was totally thrilled again. The staff is very attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We were 2 couples and had a vegetarian menu and a meat menu, each for 2 people, it was super tasty. We also had an Indian red wine, Sula, which suited us perfectly. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. Thank you.

For lunch you get a combination of two different curries (which you can choose in advance), so you don't have to commit to one and you have the opportunity to try two of the super delicious curries. The food tastes amazing and the price is very fair, especially for lunch. Highly recommended!

Very good selection of dishes, spicy dishes will certainly be spicy, because “spicy” is already sufficiently spicy. Tastes really good. If necessary, consider making a reservation at peak times. Card payment is possible. I had the 50, really tasty and well built up spiciness with ginger.

October 2024 visit- We reached restaurant at 1PM and food was denied because we did not made appointment. The restaurant was completely vacant and kitchen closure time was 2.00pm. But unfortunately food was denied at 1pm which was disappointing as I travelled off route with complete family just to had good experience which I had in March 2024. Will never visit again in future. Encouraged by the high rating, I wanted to check how it actually is. Unfortunately I was disappointed the food was average at best.

Due to the very good reviews on the Internet, we chose the Indian restaurant for dinner. However, we were very disappointed with the food. For the starters as well as the main courses. Unfortunately you do NOT get authentic Indian food. Service and portion sizes were good.

I highly recommend the daal soup, naan and murgh sabji. It was my first visit, but definitely not the last. The vegetables were fresh and delicious, the chicken tender. What's particularly pleasing is that in Karlsruhe you don't have to worry about hygiene. The packaging was also perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and wishes you bon appetite with a smile. Thank you very much – in retrospect I would have liked to have tipped even more!

If you are Indian, be prepared for cold and pathetic service. Luckily we booked a table and sat outside, they took the order and it took an hour to arrive, it was getting cold outside and we asked to sit inside but they refused despite there being so many free tables. Disappointing experience with the waiter We visited this restaurant last night with a reservation, expecting a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, despite there being free space inside, we were told there was no availability and were made to sit outside. The service was extremely disappointing – the waiter’s attitude towards us was cold, in stark contrast to how he treated others, making us feel as though Indians aren’t welcome in an Indian restaurant. We waited an entire hour for our food, and by the time it arrived, it was already dark outside. There was no lighting provided, and when we requested to move inside again (after seeing other customers allowed to do so), our request was refused despite visible space inside. They eventually offered us a candle, but it was so dim we could barely see what we were eating. The food itself was good, but the overall experience was marred by the poor service, lack of hospitality, and uncomfortable atmosphere. I expected much better.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Indian restaurant Jaipur Golden in Karlsruhe and I have to say we loved it! As soon as you entered the restaurant you were warmly welcomed and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. A big plus point for us is the long opening hours. Jaipur Golden is a great option, especially if you want to spontaneously go out for dinner later. No stress, no rush – you can take your time and still enjoy the evening. The food itself was also really good. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Indian dishes. The Butter Chicken and Chicken Korma in particular are absolute recommendations – perfectly seasoned and simply delicious! The only small drawback is the parking situation. It was a little difficult to find a parking space nearby, but that could have been due to the time. Maybe others have better luck at other times. All in all, our visit to Jaipur Golden was a complete success. We would love to come back and can only recommend the restaurant.

We ate here for the first time today. Due to the weather we decided to sit on the terrace. This is on the street but the traffic is still not disruptive. The service was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a meat thali, two vegetarian dishes and the mango chicken curry. Everything was super tasty. The naan also tasted great. We were very satisfied and will come back!

We were at the Jaipur Golden after a walk in the park. We made reservations by phone beforehand, although that wasn't necessary. We were the only ones in the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. At first we sat outside, but as it got a little cooler, we moved inside relatively quickly. It all went smoothly, even though we found it difficult to communicate with some of the service staff. Everything inside is very heavily decorated. There is something to discover everywhere and many different colors and shapes complete the image of a traditional restaurant. The only drawback was that the boss and some of the waitresses were sitting at one of the tables in the restaurant. So we actually felt like we were constantly being watched. The constant “monitoring” still had one advantage: As soon as our rice was empty, more was delivered without being asked. Otherwise the employees were very nice and always had a smile on their faces. Very sympathic. We had a Thali, as well as a Lamb Makhani, Butter Chicken and a Chicken Tikka Masala. Each of us had a butter or garlic naan. We received an appetizer platter of “caraway tacos” on the house (unfortunately I don’t know what they’re called). The combination was very unusual from a culinary point of view, unfortunately there was nothing for me. The dishes themselves were good. My Lamb Makhani was spicy. The dishes from others tend to be mild and creamy. There were a few tasty dishes in the thali, and a few underwhelming dishes. But all in all we were all satisfied. The rice, a little dry, came in a large bowl. This was filled up as soon as it was empty. The breads were nice, but nothing special. At the end there was a liqueur on the house. The big problem, in my opinion, was the price. We paid almost 35 euros per person with drinks. The courts could not justify that. Hence only the three stars.

If you are Indian and especially alone then make sure you phone this place and ask if they are in mood to serve. They’ll just shoo you away otherwise saying you have not booked table in advance. It doesn’t matter to them from where and how far you came, even if all the tables are empty (puts reserved board on inside tables) but outside where people came, sat and served but he said all reserved only in advance. Had closed one entire section to the left after you enter and again said sir we serve only to reserved customers.

This restaurant doesn't seem to value a customer, They didn't allocate a table even when the restaurant was seemingly empty!

Chiken tika masala and pkora super Bast place indian special

Obviously, restaurants cater for the clientele of the country they are in, and this is the problem. The dishes are far inferior to what we are used to in England. Really lacking in spices and therefore flavour.

The place is really great with very good vibes and particularly aesthetic interior. But the food was real show of the star. I've had authentic Indian food after quite a while. I'd recommend everyone to try out place atleast once.

Here I was able to enjoy hearty Indian food. My tandoori dish was a real treat for my taste buds, tasty and spicy. The portions are large and the price is good for what is offered.

A true pleasure to visit. Excellent Indian (Punjabi) food, all prepared fresh, served hot, and with attention to seasoning without excess use of hot spices. Appetizers, menus, and entree items are all recommended. The freshly baked Nan (bread) is outstanding. Prices are reasonable. Exceptionally high quality food. The secret is out, however, as tables fill up quickly beginning at 7 pm each night.

Ein Inder direkt an der Tram Haltestelle und somit sehr gut erreichbar und sowieso recht zentral. Gehobenes Preisniveau. Reserviert zurückhaltend freundlicher Service. Das Essen ausgezeichnet, wirklich wirklich gut und reichlich. Feine Reisqualität, tolle mannigfaltige Karte. Die Atmosphäre freundlich, hell und hochwertig. Passt!

Essen schmeckt nicht, kleine Portionen Plastkstrohhalm im Mango Lassi färbt ab. Aussenplätze recht laut wegen Hauptstraße.

Beste Indiesch essen in karlsruhe wir haben Vorspeise Pakoras und Hauptspeise Tandoori Chicken und palk paneer Bestellet. Alles was super lecker.

We have visited this restaurant and the hospitality is pathetic. The waitter and manager said that customer has order starters, main course and have to make minimum bill. We have ordered Parata and juice and waiter is not at all taking order and called manager and he repeated the same. After arguing and other Germans in the hotel he told this time they will allow and next time they won't. Even 80% restaurant is empty we have to make reservation.

Had only rake away food. Place seemed popular. Has good ratings but food overall was very plain. Large portions though, but very standard. Off-putting was a big chunk of plastic in my naan.

The food is always good and the same dish never tastes completely the same, which shows that everything is always freshly put together and prepared. The pick-up times were always correct. Price reasonable.

I was visiting Karlsruhe and dined there alone. I only half liked it. The restaurant is quite comfortably furnished, but the seating is still quite cramped at times. The service is mediocre and unfortunately not always very prompt. After finishing the meal, a waiter would often come past the table without, for example, taking the dishes with them. The starter soup was spicy and very good. The Chicken Tandori was relatively bland and drowned in sauce. I've experienced this much better in other Indian restaurants, but maybe it's a matter of taste. Before the meal there was a nice greeting from the kitchen. There was no liqueur or anything like that with the bill. Overall it was ok, but there's no need to repeat it.

Yesterday I had dinner in this restaurant. It was really tasty, especially if you appreciate Indian cuisine. I would deduct a point because one of the dishes was too spicy for me and perhaps more rice would have been appropriate for two people (there were two of us). But taste is debatable. I particularly liked the service. The staff gives you enough attention and is unobtrusive and pleasant. + small bonuses in the form of snacks and so on. Would definitely go again. Definitely recommended!

Food was good, but not great for the price. A waiter caused a bad stain on my pants while clearing away. When a colleague was politely asked whether he could deduct something from the bill for this, all he received was an unfriendly "Why?", a grumpy face and he was unwilling to find a solution. Therefore, unfortunately, very poor service.

Jaipur Golden Restaurant is hidden in Karlsruhe,located near a tram stop. It offers a wide variety of authentic Indian cuisine, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, at reasonable prices. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is impeccable. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jaipur Golden Restaurant, and I was blown away by the quality of the food and service. I started with the paneer pakora, which was perfectly crispy and golden brown on the outside, with a soft and cheesy interior. The accompanying chutney was tangy and flavorful, and it perfectly complemented the pakora. For my main course, I had the chicken tikka masala. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of spices. I also ordered a side of naan bread, which was feathery, and it was the perfect way to scoop up all of the delicious sauce. My dining companion ordered the dal makhani, which was also excellent. The lentils were cooked until they were soft and creamy, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. It was the perfect comfort food on a cold day. We finished our meal with the gulab jamun, which were perfectly sweet and syrupy. They were the perfect way to end a delicious meal. One thing I noticed which disturbed the sanctum, was an argument a lady and her husband were trying to win regarding the portion sharing. Both of them were trying to share a single portion while availing other services individually.As one can see from a business aspect such sharing of a proper portion meant for a single individual to enjoy not only reduces the value of the meal for one person but also creates a sense of awkwardness in the room.Looking from the other side it is also not profitable for restaurants to invest in serving such persons individually.

Jaipur Golden Restaurant is a warm and inviting Indian restaurant offering a delicious and authentic dining experience. I have visited the location 5 times so far and the restaurant was always full. This is probably a testament to its popularity and quality of cooking. The staff are first class, offering friendly and attentive service. Upon entering the restaurant for the first time, I was immediately struck by its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is classy and elegant, with rich colors and comfortable seating. I was greeted by a friendly host and seated at a table right away. My server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He was able to answer all my questions and provide recommendations. I ordered chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and both were delicious. The chicken was spicy and masaledaar, the sauce was rich and flavorful. The naan was full of flavor and had a wonderfully fresh aroma that made me drool. Although the restaurant was full, service was prompt and courteous. My server checked on me regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. Although the food took a little while to be served, it was certainly worth the wait and overall we were very impressed with the level of service at Jaipur Golden Restaurant

Jaipur Golden Restaurant is a magical place where Indian flavors come to life. I recently ordered a symphony of spices, and the flavors danced on my tongue. The naan bread was so fluffy, it was like a cloud.

The food here is so much delicious and tempting 🤤😋 And I will always look up here. 🤤❤️
