The best Indian restaurant in Karlsruhe - and we tried them all. UPDATE: For reasons of equity or religion, they stopped serving alcohol. It's not usually about getting drunk, but denying your guests a glass of wine in a restaurant shows a complete lack of respect for the lifestyle here.

Palak paneer and Palak chicken are the most delicious dish. Specially you need to mention to make hot and spicy!

I had dinner at Indian Rasoi with my wife last night. We were both very excited about the delicious food. My meat was very tender and aromatic, it was a real culinary delight... it just passed on the tongue... and my wife, who is a vegetarian, had veg. Ate biryani, which she was really excited about. It was excellently seasoned, a culinary delight. The restaurant is also very cozy, the staff is very nice and accommodating, the price-performance ratio is also right, you get a lot on your plate for not much money at all...even though we are from Freiburg It's definitely worth a trip there again for us... Compliments to the Indian Rasoi... keep it up!!!

We were there for the first time and were really excited. Quiet restaurant with atmospheric lighting and fantastic, spice-rich, typical local dishes!! Large selection and courteous service, short waiting time for the food to be served. Since the restaurant is located on Pfinztalstrasse, parking is nearby, but a bit difficult. But easily accessible by train.

I'm really glad to find that they serve real indian test with indian spice it was really great test joy my meal.

We order regularly and are always satisfied. The food always tastes good and the service is always reliable. Our native Indian.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a good experience with an order from this restaurant. First of all, the portion was very small. They delivered only 6 small pieces of paneer for Karahi Paneer and 5 small pieces of chicken for Butter chicken. The whole box was just full of curry sauce, you can hardly find paneer or chicken. Butter chicken was very sweet like a dessert. Even desserts are less sweeter than that dish. Moreover, I called them immediately for feedback and after getting to know my nationality, he claimed that Germans eat “sweet” butter chicken. I have never experienced that much sweet in any Indian restaurant for butter chicken. This guy behaved so badly on the phone call after getting the feedback. Sadly I cannot recommend this restaurant at all!!

The food was very tasty and the portion size was really good. The delicious combination of starter and main course will fill you up. However, if you want it to be Indian-spicy, you have to emphasize this emphatically and even then the kitchen is rather cautious 🙃 The menu itself has a lot to offer and invites you to visit it several times. The atmosphere is more so-so, but we're there to eat. It was a real shame that the restaurant was completely empty for an evening before a public holiday, even if it was during the week. It really doesn't deserve it! So, just stop by and enjoy the food.

We dined here as it was close to the Autobahn exit. The food is too far away from an 'Indian recipe'. We ordered butter chicken, Malai Kofta, Karahi Paneer (scharf / spicy) and Chicken Biryani. All the curry dishes were sweet, literally sugar sweet. Have never eaten such sweet curry dishes across any Indian restaurants in Germany. The Chicken Biryani was a disaster with no salt and completely bland. Overall a very disappointing experience.

We sometimes go to Rasoi if you want Indian food. I really like the food, it's always very tasty. The portions are big! There are always places on site. When we order delivery, it always arrives quickly!

My wife and I enjoyed it very much and the portion sizes were more than sufficient. Gladly again.

Just had food delivered. Completely without sauce (had to put something together ourselves). Completely charred. Shrimp UNPEELED! AND a long hair in the rice. Absolutely rude and disgusting!

I eat here regularly and have tried many dishes with chicken, lamb, fish and shrimp. Each dish has its own taste. The ambience is also really good. I highly recommend the chicken curry and shrimp palak from Do Piazza.

We ordered our dinner over the phone for delivery. “In half an hour” was the announcement. After 1 hour the delivery person came and during this time the prices had strangely increased - not much, but annoying. The chicken soup was very good and most importantly - really hot. The Murgh Pakora [fried chicken in chickpea batter] was unfortunately soggy instead of crispy and tasted completely indefinable, the Prawn Pakora [fried shrimp in chickpea batter] was just as mushy, but at least tasted like shrimp. The Vegetable Biryani turned out to be rice with a few tiny pieces of vegetables in it and a cold yogurt sauce on the side - disappointing. The lamb tikka, however, was really tasty, perhaps a little too dry and a little less tender than we would have liked. Overall, an experience that we don't want to repeat.

We always enjoy coming here. Actually almost everything you try is really good.

I ordered chicken curry and korma. Chicken korma is actually tasty, but the meat is tough. The chicken curry is more of a milk curry and doesn't taste good at all

We were regulars for a very long time, but service and quality has drastically decreased. Most recently we ordered Palaak Paneer, among other things. We got a stretched “soup” that reminded us neither of spinach nor cheese. There were a maximum of 10 mini pieces of cheese included (max 30 grams). The spinach could be seen but not tasted. I'm just at a loss for words. We can understand that the innkeepers are struggling, but the food we received simply cannot be glossed over. The portion xxs, unlike usual, was extremely small, not even close to being a main course. We sent our complaint directly to the owner, but he didn't respond, hence the review this way. Unfortunately. This is how you lose long-standing loyal customers!!!!

The food was really delicious, the hotel owner was really friendly and he also asked our feedback regarding the food that was being served. As per to our spice tolerance, the food was prepared. Overall a must visit restaurant if you are craving for some authentic Indian cuisine😋.

Food was lukewarm! The waiter doesn't know what kind of food he is bringing to our table. A starter was missing. Taste itself was good.

Das Essen ist ziemlich gut. Bei der aktuellen Inflation kann ich mich auch nicht über die Preise beschweren. Aber es stört mich sehr, dass der Preis, der auf der Speisekarte steht, nicht der Preis ist, der dir berechnet wird. Auf der Rechnung kostete jedes Gericht ein paar Euro mehr als auf der Speisekarte stand. Anfang des Jahres habe ich den Kellner einmal darauf hingewiesen und er hat sich entschuldigt und gesagt, dass er es nicht wusste. Gestern war ich wieder dort und das Problem ist immer noch da. Das kann zwei Bedeutungen haben: Sie sind nachlässig und aktualisieren ihre Speisekarte nicht oder sie hoffen, dass ihre Kunden es nicht bemerken. In jedem Fall ist das keine akzeptable Praxis.

War nicht so richtig lecker. Preislich ok. Lieferung gut.

normal durchschnittlicher Inder, freundlicher Service, Essen schmackhaft und ok, kein Alkohol, Mittagstisch seehr günstig, 9,- Euro für ein Hähnchengericht mit Basmatireis, Portion reichlich zum Sattwerden, ein Mineralwasser 0,2 aus der kleinen Flasche 1,80....also für 10,80 ein Mittagessen mit Getränk, unschlagbar! Schlichte Location, Abends deutlich teurer, würde ich dann nicht investieren wollen....

Extrem lecker und nette Bedienung mit hervorragendem Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Nur zu empfehlen...

Очень долго ждали. Не понравилась атмосфера внутри - есть ощущение привокзальной столовой. Все какое-то потёртое, трещины на потолке, унитазы раздолбаные. Тесно, уныло. Только кот на чеке прикольный. Еда нормальная, вкусно, но второй раз приходить не хочется.

We visit Rasoi every week usually at lunch time. The preparation of the chosen menu is fast and quality is high class and very traditional. I always select chicken and vegetable Thalis that contain herbs and spices from the region I come from. The staff are very friendly. Wir besuchen Rasoi jede Woche, normalerweise zur Mittagszeit. Die Zubereitung des gewählten Menüs erfolgt schnell und die Qualität ist erstklassig und sehr traditionell. Ich wähle immer Hühnchen- und Gemüse-Thalis aus, die Kräuter und Gewürze aus der Region enthalten, aus der ich komme. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Wir essen oft indisch und dieses Restaurant ist unser liebstes. Dafür fahren wir auch gerne ans andere Ende der Stadt. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich. Die Gerichte sind so gross, daß man sehr gut satt wird. Reis wird, wenn benötigt, nachgereicht. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hier her oder bestellen.

The food is really good. I recommend getting the naan as a side with any main course - it's delicious. Chicken vindaloo was bit salty (could be balanced with the rice) otherwise delicious - a great combo of fresh chicken, good flavour and nice spice amount. Lentil soup is tasty as well - no complains. Service is good, very polite staff. Taking one point of service as our chicken dish was switched by mistake, which was fine with us but won't be the case for everyone.

Gute indische Küche mit schnellem Lieferservice auch zu Stoßzeiten.

Nach 1,5h immernoch nicht da... Wir hatten essen bestellt, in der Bestätigungsmail stand eine Lieferzeit von 30-50 Minuten. Nach 1,5h hab ich dann im Restaurant angerufen. Ich wurde vertröstet, dass das Essen in 10 Minuten da sei. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten kam das Essen dann mit einer Lieferzeit von ca. 2h bei uns an. Das Essen an sich war sehr gut. Bei solch einer langen Wartezeit auf sein Essen, vergeht einem aber fast der Appetit.

Essen gut. Preis okay. Es gibt keinen Alkohol. Bedienung war sehr lustlos. Plastiktischdecken.

Leider mittlerweile nur noch Durchschnitt: -Reis trocken und geschmacklos (keine Gewürze) -Chicken ist zart und lecker -Lamm ist nahezu ungewürzt -Papar(dom) sind bitter und fettig (zu stark ausgebacken) -Naan ist fade Zu Beginn des Restaurants schmeckte alles „wie Urlaub“, tausend Gewürze, fein abgestimmt, liebevoll zubereitet, neue Geschmacksrichtungen. Wir kennen Gerichte der Indische Küche durch die Familie; leider ist dieses Essen eine Enttäuschung. Das Lokal ist, nach wie vor, gemütlich und sehr sauber, zentral gelegen und die Bedienung ist zuvorkommend; Stühle immer noch krass unbequem ;-). Ich hoffe, das Niveau der Küche hebt sich wieder. Wir versuchen es in ein paar Wochen erneut…

I recently dined at this establishment and while the lentil soup and rogan josh were delicious, the atmosphere and overall style of the restaurant were lacking. Unfortunately, there were no alcoholic beverages available at all. Overall, I would give it 3 stars

Mehr schein als sein. Das wird wohl der erste und letzte Besuch in diesem Restaurant gewesen sein. Die Karte am Eingang verspricht einen guten Eindruck, der dann allerdings nicht gehalten werden konnte. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass das Außer Haus Geschäft wichtiger ist als die anwesenden Gäste.

Food it's awesome, the service could improve but it's a good service. People are polite and the time between the order and the food on your table is good. I general I recomend this place to go with family, friends and enjoy a good time.

Die Lieferung erfolgte 10 Minuten nach Bestellung über Lieferando. Die Vorspeise, Beilage und extra Soßen waren perfekt. Aber der Hauptgang ist so scharf, dass ich ihn nicht essen kann. In der Karte stand aber nicht, dass es scharf ist und in anderen indischen Restaurants schmeckt das gleiche Gericht viel milder.

Das Essen einfach nur supper Lecker ! Man hat es schmecken koennen, mit wieviel liebe und frische das Essen zubereitet worden ist ! Sehr empfehlenswer.

Sehr gute Indische Küche. Wir waren vor kurzem in Karlsruhe zu Besuch und sind hier zum Essen eingeladen worden. Insgesamt waren wir mit 4 Personen, alle waren anschließend zufrieden. Vor allem für Vegetarier gibt es, wie in den meisten indischen Restaurants, eine sehr große Auswahl an Gerichten. Die Speisen waren sehr schön angerichtet und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Sollten wir nochmal vor Ort sein, kommen wir sicherlich gerne wieder.

War heute das zweite Mal dort essen und es war wieder super lecker! Große Auswahl, angemessene Preise und freundliches, wenn auch etwas chaotisches Personal. Vom Äußeren darf man sich nicht täuschen lassen, das Restaurant an sich ist leider nicht so schön (Tische draußen direkt neben dem Küchenfenster; wirkt allgemein auch ungemütlich, innen fährt die Bahn direkt vorbei und die Einrichtung und Aufteilung ist so semi), aber das Essen ist einfach grandios.

Sehr leckeres Essen, viel Auswahl. Der Preis ist auch Human 😊👍🏼. Das Personal, war auch okay.
