If you value a good customer experience you might want to go elsewhere. We have been to this restaurant a few years ago and the service and food were phenomenal. Today we wanted to try it out and got disappointed. The restaurant was at 40% full at most, but no one would care to come to us, to greet or to give us a seat. The barista told us to just grab a table and we did. No one came to give us the menu so we took it ourselves. But after 15 min of waiting no one came not even after asking. They would just pass by pretending they don’t see you. We ended up leaving. The unfriendly waitress saw us and instead of coming to offer an apology or try to take an order, she just readjusted the table. We just went around the corner to Sauvage Restaurant which offers a first class gastronomic vegan experience.

Great vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Munich with a beautiful interior. Dishes are creative and tasty, and there are many vegetarian and vegan options to choose from. Service is friendly but can be a little slow, particularly on busy nights.

Unfortunately, we don't understand the many good reviews. A lot is of course a matter of taste but with a truffle pizza for €21 I expect to taste at least some of the truffle. The pizza was thin like a tarte flambée, there was a lot of truffle grated on top but the taste didn't come through. In the end I wasn't full at all. I honestly told the waiter that when asked. In my opinion, however, the reaction to this left something to be desired: “It’s just a normal pizza,” he said. Too bad. Maybe it was just me and I made the wrong choice, but we probably won't come back.

A must for fans of vegetarian and vegan cuisine.

Truly exceptional vegetarian dishes! I had the tofu stroganoff. The noodles were homemade and the sauce a complex mixture of mushrooms and herbs. I liked it so much, I returned the next night for the lasagna. Delicious! The waiter recommended a red wine which was excellent too. My favorite restaurant during a month long trip to Germany.

We had a very tasty meal here. My girlfriend had the red Thai curry and I had the truffle pizza. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the taste so we also treated ourselves to a piece of cake. We particularly liked the interior with the high ceilings and the great lamps. Our waitress was very accommodating and very nice. We'd love to come back.

Omg!!!! The vegan ragou I have ever had. Everything was amazing, the service was impeccable, our waitress was from another European country, Sweden or Norway, forgive me if I'm wrong, she spoke German and English and was amazing help. The food was delicious, and they had a variety of cuisines. If ever go back to Germany, I will definitely eat there again.

Not the best service. The waiter told me he has no time to give me food recommendations since he has a lot to do 😅 Moreover, the food is medium at best. Soup was not good, main dish and desert were ok, but nothing special. A very expensive price without a reason.

WORST place ever!!! Don’t go! We wen’t yesterday with a friend to get coffee and tea, something simple, however it took them over 25 minutes to come to our table outside, because I had to come inside to ask whether we needed to order inside or if there was someone coming. We ordered 1 tea - 1 capuccino and 1 Apfelstruddel.. The tea and coffee arrived after 5 mints and the strudel never arrived, despite asking for this and ordering another cappuccino. After almost 45 minutes we decided to leave since none of these things appeared and when I went inside to pay, they wanted to charge me these additional orders!!! When I refused the woman attending got mad and started screaming saying I was not her fault this doesn’t come and I need to pay… unbelievable Service, slow, rude, disrespectful and borderline discriminatory. Im not sure if this is because we are foreign, despite living here and speaking German, but it was a terrible experience!!

Vegetarian restaurant, large and delicious dishes. We took ravioli filled with cheese in mushroom sauce, lasagna, Greek salad. Everything was very tasty. good service Nice atmosphere

The food was really delicious, the service was very friendly. All the drinks were also exquisite. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. Since the restaurant was very full, it took a little longer for the dishes to be brought to the table, but it was completely acceptable. We'd love to come back!

Sehr enttäuschender Geschmack diverser Kuchen, die sehr langweilig und zu alt schmeckten. Auch die Preise auf der Speisekarte sind unangemessen gestiegen. Ein Wermutstropfen ist der sympathische Service, der uns zugute kam.

I had marked 'Prinz Myshkin' as the one spot I wanted to eat while in Munich, so we saved it for our last night. Sometimes that can backfire to prolong your visit, if the place you're waiting to enjoy doesn't live up to expectations. It didn't let us down. The setting is classy but not pretentious. The service was a mix of efficient, patient, humourous banter, and sound advice on their food & drink. The drinks/wine list are a nice range on offer, and the dishes are varied, showcasing some east-Asian dishes, some modern European, and a few classic veg. options making our decision a tricky one. We opted to start with a solid Greek salad, then each had a pasta after a long day of walking. Both pastas were fresh and flavourful confirming our decision (though the Thai curry on the next table looked really good!) Not indulgently expensive, delicious, and "cool", 'Prinz' is certainly highly recommended.

We were in Munich city center, searching for quality alternative restaurants, and came across this one since I don't eat meat. We chose to sit at their beautiful terrace. There were three ladies serving the clients. It took about 5 minutes before we were greeted and offered the English menu, as requested. However, it then took them another 20-25 minutes to take our order, despite the fact that neither the terrace nor the interior were crowded, especially considering they had three waiters. Two waitresses passed by our table several times, and we made it clear we were ready to order, but no one stopped to assist us. When the waitress finally brought the two glasses of white wine and cocktails we had ordered, she spilled the white wine on my lap, soaking both my jeans and polo shirt. She apologized and quietly said she would bring another glass of wine. I was quite upset and went to the restroom to try and dry my clothes. Unfortunately, there was no hand paper or toilet paper available. At that point, I was very frustrated and informed the staff that we were leaving. As someone who travels frequently across Europe (every other month), I have never experienced such poor table service in a high-rated restaurant. The staff seemed untrained in handling such situations. I would have expected to be offered some paper to clean my clothes and a quick relocation to another table since two of the chairs at our table were wet. The reaction from the staff was extremely slow and disappointing. You have a lesson to learn, guys. Great food might be essential, but it's not enough. Service is key, and yours is hesitant and in serious need of improvement.

I recently dined there with my wife, she is vegan but I am not. I was still impressed by the food and the operator took a moment to chat, which rounded off the evening very well. Thank you very much, we'll be back!

I'm not a vegetarian, but I go to this restaurant. I especially recommend the vegetarian beef stroganoff and soups. Always tasty and satisfying.

Good vegetarian restaurant. Prices for the food are certainly justified, although the location certainly also plays a role in the higher price level.

Fabulous veggie food, easily the best in our two week trip across Germany and Austria. In many places we struggled to find anything other than fried potatoes and cabbage. We had the samosa and spinach buckwheat pancakes which were both absolutely delicious. Lovely spot, nice tables outside. Highly recommended.

Décevant. La nourriture n’a aucun intérêt : en entrée une assiette d’antipasti sans goût . Comme plat des légumes cuits à la vapeur ( choux fleurs, carottes, pommes de terre, brocolis et un peu de blettes et de courgettes) arrosés de crème fraîche. Pas de jus de fruit pressés mais seulement en bouteille. Service lent. Insistance à réclamer un pourboire. Avec l’entrée partagée à deux, sans vin et sans dessert 74€ a deux. On n’y ira plus.

Nach mehreren Jahren und zuvor sehr guter Erfahrung das Prinz Myshkin wieder besucht, mit ernüchterndem Ergebnis. Abgepackter Salat mit Dressingspritzern, am Boden des Tellers eine Wasserlache…. Trockene Samosa mit Pampenfüllung und Dip, man braucht schon viel Überwindung das zu essen. Service unkoordiniert. Früher eine absolute Empfehlung- jetzt nicht mehr.

Easy going vegetarian restaurant with a mixed cuisine menu. The tortilla chips with two dips where exactly what you would expect/hope for. The mixed starter was excellent with different flavours and textures. The ravioli dish of the day was delicious and the buckwheat pancakes also very good. The chocolate mousse dessert was absolutely not a disappointment! 😋 The staff were friendly and helpful - although we had to ask three times for a glass of water.

The dishes are a little expensive but it’s Munich! I recommend the truffle tagliatelle, they were very good! The service is fast. I recommend

Eine von uns drei Mädels kennt das Restaurant schon seit vielen Jahren; wir kamen an und gerade wurde ein Tisch draußen frei. Es liegt an einer kleinen Seitenstraße - es waren schubweise sehr viele Autos neben uns „gestanden“, das war nicht so schön. Es begann zu regnen und der Wechsel nach drinnen war problemlos. Wir haben bestellt und der Kellner wies uns darauf hin, dass das was wir da alles bestellen wollen zu viel für uns sei; wir wollten nicht hören und haben alles bestellt. Preis/Leistung stimmt hier - die Portionen waren wirklich groß und wir waren mehr als satt. Kleines negativ: irgendwas ist schief gelaufen beim Essen; eines kam, die beiden anderen kamen etwas später. Und weiß noch nicht genug war teilten wir uns noch einen Apfelstrudel mit Vanillesoße; auf Wunsch bekamen wir noch eine ganze Sossier voll Vanillesoße zusätzlich. Zwei Flaschen Wein, drei Flaschen Wasser usw. später waren wir die letzten die das Restaurant verließen. Wir hatten einen schönen und leckeren Abend. Daumen hoch!

Absolutely amazing, the best lasagna I have ever had. The dishes are large and the place is charming, as are the waitresses.

My wife and I were walking to an Italian restaurant, always a safe choice for travelling vegetarians, when we passed this cute restaurant on a very quiet street and noticed that it was vegetarian. (We're vegetarians, but Prinz Myshkin definitely offers vegan options.) Writing this review as a nod to the best meal we had on our two week trip. It certainly helped that it was a beautiful night and we ate outside. It was all about our main courses. My wife had the pasta special of the evening and I had the ravioli with potatoes and truffles. Both were excellent. Restaurant was nice inside. It was late on a weeknight and they were busy but not packed. If you're reading this from a hotel room in Munich, looking for a place to eat, book here!

In the country of the meat salad, an entirely vegetarian restaurant is something to be celebrated. Named, I assume, after the protagonist of Dostoyevsky’s The Idiot, someone with an “absolutely beautiful nature”, this interesting restaurant was indeed good natured and relaxed. Inside it’s huge, but spills onto the street in summer. Decently strong aperitifs, a wide and fresh vegetarian and vegan selection. Pizzas for the reluctantly vegetarian, vegetarian classics such as buckwheat spinach crespelle for the rest of us, this vegetarian restaurant succumbs to one veggie restaurant cliche (its a bit slow in service) but avoids another (no “plant based” burger, thank heavens). Recommended.

This was my second time at this place and it's one of my fabs in town! Great vegetarian/vegan selection, but my absolut to go is their tagliatelle tartufata! 🫶 One of the best I've ever tried, so creamy and flavourful! My friends got the veggie samosas and the tagliatelle Amanda, I didn't try those but my friends said it was 💯♥️! They also have an amazing dessert selection that we still need to go back and try! 🍰

Unfortunately, the service that day was rather unfriendly to us. It took quite some time before we could order. We're already thinking about going again. I personally found the food, I had pizza, to be relatively bland. For me it wasn't worth the price. I won't visit the place again. *-*-*-*-* After the owner filed a defamatory complaint on Google, I adjusted my reviews (which weren't bad before..). Of course I am only reflecting my subjective experience. The fact is that our experience that day in the location was not worth repeating. Instead of recording feedback, you can of course “report away” less good reviews - a real shame.

Unfortunately, service took longer even though it was very empty, food was ok, somehow disappointed compared to before, the taste was boring, it's a shame and for 2 main courses and 2 drinks 56 euros bad service etc. Pure disappointment not like it was a long time ago, sorry

After a long time, once again a restaurant where everything was right and it deserves to be rated! The location is visually stunning. But I especially liked the fresh flowers on the tables. The service was very nice, attentive and passionate from the beginning to the end. Both our starter and our main course were a complete delight. The portions were decent, so there was no room for the cake we actually wanted to eat. But with the large selection of cakes, we will definitely be back very soon. Thank you for the great evening :)

Beautifully decorated tables with roses, cloth napkins and the Hackerviertel is a bit of Munich history. Very nice service. My salad was okay, but I would have liked a little more sophistication here. Well maybe my choice of dish just wasn't the right one 😉. I still enjoyed drinking a nice glass of wine outside in the sunshine 😎

I was sick in the night after having dinner here. It was clearly food poisoning. I must have eaten something spoiled, probably hummus. Friendly and approachable staff. We were able to dine as a couple, the dog allowed.

My vegetarian son and I spent quite a while searching for the best veggie restaurants in Munich and I'm so pleased we decided on this one. The atmosphere was buzzy and the service excellent. Our Swedish waitress made sure that we were seated quickly and well looked after. My son had vegetable lasagne which was piping hot and extremely tasty. I had the Thai vegetable curry with rice and it was delicious! Dessert was even better with apple strudel and vanilla sauce and a custard sponge cake really hitting the spot. This is a must-visit if you love veggie food and you happen to be in Munich. We will return!

A vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Munich was a pleasant surprise! Very nice ambience and delicious food. Visited with a friend and we tried Thai red curry and another exotic vegetable gravy which was served with rice. Both were awesome and quantity was good. There are many Indian dishes served as well like Rassam being served as soup and an Ayurvedic thali that contained Samosa and Halwa! If you are vegetarian or vegan, this is a must visit restaurant if you are in Munich!

The atmosphere in the restaurant is reminiscent of a rather sober economy and could be a little warmer, although the staff was very friendly and attentive. I noticed a certain inconsistency in quality and taste with the food. The lasagne, priced at €15, didn't quite meet my expectations and was reminiscent of canteen food, while the curry carrot soup was very well prepared and stood out positively. The extensive menu could be a reason for the variable quality, as it could be a challenge with such a large selection to ensure consistent quality throughout. After my second visit, I'm considering whether I'll come again as the experiences were mixed.

We had an Indian vegetarian meal here this evening and were very satisfied. The portions were very large and the quality was excellent. We also really liked the atmosphere. The high rooms mean it's not so loud and you have more peace and quiet. The service was very friendly. We will definitely eat here again.

The go-to vegetarian restaurant in Munich since my childhood!

We arrived to this restaurant on a Thursday evening around 19:30. It was fairly crowded (with mostly women!). The main room is a very nice, white hall with colorful paintings. Very pleasing and aesthetic. A large group had arrived just ahead of us, and the staff struggled to manage. After finding our seats we waited 10-15 minutes to get our menus before taking matters into our own hands and locating a couple of menus. The menu is a funny mix - focus on Italian pasta and pizza paired with other dishes from across the globe. Eventually a waiter came to take our order, and we ordered starters and mains. The first starter arrived relatively quickly. "Guacamole" turned out to be a healthy amount of tortilla chips straight out of the bag paired with guacamole and salsa dips. Pretty uninspired. The second starter - a miso soup - simply never arrived. It took forever before the mains arrived - a palak paner and ravioli. The palak paner had been 'enhanced' with tomato and mushrooms which was a great touch. The raviolis were plentiful and with a nice tomato sauce. Since we had waited so long between the starters and mains, my partner asked for another glass of wine. We finished the mains, and it simply never appeared. When it was finally time to pay, the bill included the soup. After the waiter came back with an adjusted the bill, she actually managed to say that "service is not included in the amount". We were too frustrated to laugh at this point.

Very tasty vegetarian food and a broad spectrum of flavours - from mushroom lasagna via delicious buckwheat crêpe to spicy red curry !! Nice wines. Open and hence loud seating area, a bit pricy.

A real discovery. The starter was great, the pizza unusual, not really my thing... But that doesn't say anything about the pizza. The service was friendly and refreshing. Here we go again.

The ambience is fine. Both meals did not live up to expectations. Too good to let the pasta go back, but just about to the point of having to classify it as overcooked. Seasoning was left to the guest's discretion, and the salt and pepper mills were certainly necessary and helpful. (Praise for the mills) Maybe the service was new. Friendly yes - attentive no. Waving is a friendly gesture and we practiced it extensively in order to be noticed. I then had success at the counter. That can still happen. The restaurant was about half full. Conclusion: Price performance ratio inappropriate and excessive. Nothing special/creative in the vegetarian cuisine could be recognized or read. This used to be a favorite restaurant of mine. Now it is removed from the list. We still hope that the restaurant will return to its culinary quality, creativity and service. All the best

Delicious cakes and good coffee. The prices are a little higher in comparison and the ambience is a little louder depending on the crowds.

Essen lag gefühlt eine Stunde unter einer Wärmelampe bis es geliefert wurde. Toilette eine Zumutung. Kein Sauberer Boden im Restaurant (Glassplitter). Service völlig überfordert und unterbesetzt. Kantinen Ambiente. Kurz gesagt… nein Danke!

The food is always excellent and definitely worth the price

Überwiegend zufrieden. Freundliche Bedienung. Ich bestellte das Kartoffel-Zucchini-Gratin und heißes Ingwerwasser. Serviert wurde eine große Portion Feldsalat und Rauke von sehr guter Qualität mit einer Walnußsauce, die wohlschmeckend war, aber braun-gräulich aussah. Dazu gab es eine üppige Portion Gratin, das Gemüse fein gehobelt und so mit Trüffelöl abgeschmeckt, daß das Trüffelaroma nicht aufdringlich wirkte. Der Preis war angemessen. Das Ingwerwasser enthielt eine (!) Scheibe Ingwer, die die intensiv trüb-gelbe Farbe nicht hervorgerufen haben kann und war geschmacksarm und dafür mit über 5 € überteuert.

Ignoranter, unfreundlicher, pampiger Sevice. Langes warten auf die Abgabe der Bestellung. Langes Warten aufs Essen. Portionen zu klein für den Preis. Preis Leistung nicht empfehlenswert.

Haben über 1 Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet. Lasagne war lauwarm auf heißem Teller, dadurch der Salat mit wenig Dressing ebenfalls lauwarm (war wohl alles zusammen in der Microwelle). Das Saitanrgout war mit Dosenchampignons, das Gemüse ausgetrocknet und ungewürzt. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unverschämt.

I had a wonderful time at this vegetarian restaurant in Munich. The interior was cozy and inviting, the ambience was relaxing and pleasant. The staff spoke English and was very friendly and helpful. They were attentive and the food came relatively quickly. The vegan food was delicious and satisfying - I had curry and pasta for the main course, and a decadent dessert with cappuccino. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great vegetarian dining experience in Munich.

This is one of the oldest vegetarian restaurants I know. Open since when eating vegetarian was not fashionable and definitely not a good business. This restaurant has been providing a consistent quality in the 20+ years I have been coming here. It is not cheap, but quality is also not cheap. Friendly to non vegetarians, allowing a great meal and social time while dining no matter if you are eating animals or not...

We chose this place for dinner and generally had a good time there. However, it was very noisy and they gave us a too small table for 4 people. On the menu the dishes sound tasty but actually it was just ok.

Schöne Lage und schönes Ambiente. Service an der Theke war äußerst nett, vielen Dank für die kleine Kinderplatte ❤️ Die veganen Gerichte (gemischte Vorspeisenplatte und Gemüseteller) waren doch recht fad. Der Gemüseteller besteht tatsächlich einfach nur aus 5 verschiedenen, gekochten Gemüsesorten mit passierten Tomaten. Für fast 18 €. Auch die Pizza steht absolut nicht in einem angemessen Kostenverhältnis, klein, sehr, sehr dünner Teig, ab 14 € zu haben. Die Nudeln waren aber sehr lecker. Im Allgemeinen würde ich die Wartezeit aufs Essen als angemessen beschreiben, mit 2 Kleinkindern hats uns aber zu lang gedauert.

Ich bin wahrlich kein schwieriger Esser, aber das Essen war wirklich nicht gut. Geschmacklich unaufgeregt und in der Präsentation Enttäuschung – ein echter kulinarischer Tiefflieger. Das Ambiente hingegen ist schön und einladend, besonders die hohen Decken.

Sehr lecker, vegetarisch und vegan. Da kommt jeder auf seine Kosten, ohne zu viel zu zahlen.
