Prinz Myshkin in München

We wanted to pay without a tip, but that wasn't readily accepted. The waitress indignantly asked what was wrong. Because only when the service is "shit" do you leave a tip... We only tip if we're (very) satisfied... When ordering, we asked for a carafe of tap water, in addition to the bottle of wine we ordered (for two people). She didn't flinch, but her colleague brought a bottle. Because tap water isn't served. Strange that the first waitress didn't mention that. And for a vegetarian/vegan restaurant, we find it odd not to serve tap water. We expect a vegetarian restaurant to also value sustainability. And importing glass bottles of San Pellegrino from Italy creates unnecessary CO2 emissions when the tap water is perfectly fine. And it costs €7.90 per bottle. The waitress indicated that's the boss's decision. There's nothing she can do about it. And she has to tip the kitchen staff for every dish. So if she doesn't get a tip, she has to pay for it herself. We ended up tipping, against our will. I wouldn't have written a negative review if she hadn't asked for a tip. That really doesn't feel right. You tip to appreciate the entire experience: the service, the food, the management. But the pinsa was made with frozen spinach, no tap water was served, we couldn't make a reservation until 8:15 pm even though the restaurant wasn't full (apparently there has to be a three-hour gap between making the reservation and arriving), and the seitan dish wasn't great... So we didn't tip. And management: ask €2 for a pitcher of tap water; that's nice and sustainable. And that makes things easier for your staff. Then forbid them from asking for tips. Because that's really unacceptable. The whole experience is now negatively colored...

I come here regularly and know that I can enjoy excellent food in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with attentive service. They communicate clearly and unambiguously what is vegan and what is vegetarian. There's a weekly daily special, and the dishes on the main menu are also adapted from time to time, and there's a seasonal menu – this also applies to the drinks! And yet, I still find myself eating certain dishes again and again – because they simply taste great! It's also very pleasant that you always see the same faces in the service here, meaning there's no significant turnover among the staff, which also speaks to the company's diligence. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The food was okay, but in retrospect, lunch was a truly upsetting and humiliating experience. I was there with my girlfriend, and unfortunately, we weren't satisfied with the service. Our orders were forgotten and then arrived significantly late. That's all fine and can happen. However, when the waitress finally took our money, she complained about our tip (€5 tip on a €70 bill), and she did so loudly and in a rude manner, so that our table neighbors overheard. That was truly rude and annoying. I know that tips are essential for service staff in the restaurant industry, but the principle should still be that tips are earned through good and courteous service, not rewarded for poor service.

Great recipes with quality products, everything delicious, and beautifully decorated. The staff was quick and friendly (Jamila was very charming), and the ambiance was modern with elegant decor. A visit worth it for years!

A must-visit vegetarian spot in Munich. A warm welcome, even without a reservation. Everything was delicious: stuffed zucchini flowers and lasagna, delicious mango tiramisu, and cake too.

What ipI really appreciate about this place is that they change the menu often and offer different meals often. Also a great place for vegans and vegetarians, a lot of the desserts are also vegan and taste immaculate.

We keep coming back here. Because the food is always delicious, the place is beautiful, and the people are so friendly.

Nice place, good food, but the service is very slow

As far a vegetarian restaurants go, this is as good as it gets. Nestled right in the old town, you'll have a nice stroll through the market as you arrive, which can be a great entrance into an ambiace of the restaurant, which feels very upscale and modern. We tried out the palak paneer and zucchini flowers, which ended up being wonderful. They also have great dessert. We wish we could have tried out more food but hopefully we'll build up a bigger appetite next time. Id also highly recommend a reservation, as with other restaurants in munich.

A true gem in Munich – even (or especially) for non-vegetarians! I'm neither a vegetarian nor a vegan – and yet I've been drawn back to Prynz Myschkin for years. Why? Because it succeeds in something that has unfortunately become rare in today's restaurants: honest, fresh, lovingly prepared cuisine, without processed foods, without frills – and full of flavor. Prynz Myschkin demonstrates how diverse, creative, and satisfying meat-free cuisine can be. With every visit, I notice how much this restaurant is inadvertently moving me toward a meat-free diet – not out of principle, but out of enjoyment. What completes the whole experience is the ambiance: The restaurant is located in the heart of the beautiful Hackenviertel district. The old vaulted ceilings are stylishly embedded in a modern, warm, feel-good concept – here, you don't just eat, you savor the moment. A big compliment also to the team: The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Even if there might be a short wait during peak times, a smile and genuine effort more than make up for it. My personal tip: If you're on a diet, you should steer clear of the dessert counter—the food on offer there is simply sinfully good. Conclusion: A solid 10 out of 10 for me. A prime example of honest, sustainable, and tasteful dining in Munich, the likes of which you don't find very often these days.

For me, it's simply an all-time favorite in Munich that always delivers and has a special, very fine quality that you can taste in every bite. Even as a non-vegetarian, you'll often find yourself here because of the creativity of the dishes, their taste, and their quality. The mango tiramisu belongs on the list of addictive foods; it's absolutely fantastic. Add to that the perfect location is in the heart of Munich, yet on a quieter side street, away from the hustle and bustle of the pedestrian zone. Friendly, very nice, and personable service completes the whole experience.

Quiet restaurant in the evening, good selection of vegetarian dishes, but poorly trained service. I paid the total bill with my card and wanted to deduct part of the tip with the card and pay the rest in cash after discussing it with my friends. She yelled at me that she didn't think it was appropriate and didn't even politely apologize for the 20% tip, which makes customers feel very bad.

Zeer goed gegeten, alles bereid met verse producten. Uitstekende wijn. Sfeervolle, moderne, ambiance en prettige bediening.

Restauranten havde ikke opdaget at det er forår, og at man kunne købe de lækreste friske sager på det nærtliggende Viktualienmarkt. To af os fik f.eks. forloren and, hvor tilbehøret var kogt broccoli, blomkål og gulerod. Andre fik guacomole, som bestod af en tallerken nachos og to små glas med totalt blended avocado og chillidyp. Punktum. Ikke imponerende, men heller ikke dårligt. Når man vil betale, har restauranten den uvane at vise én betalingsterminalen med et valg mellem 7, 14 og 21% drikkepenge. Jeg hader virkelig den slags pres. Akustikken i lokalet er dårlig, sikkert pga. at der er højt til loftet.

We enjoyed our lunch at Prinz Myshkin. Great service from Henry throughout and we picked the dishes that don’t contain parmesan, given this cheese is made with animal (rather than microbial) rennet and is therefore generally not suitable for vegetarians. Loved the Rasam soup, and the pasta options were tasty too. The Arrabbiata was a bit too spicy - ideal for those who like it hot! We’d love to dine here again. Great ambience, service and a great range of vegetarian and vegan cuisine.

Unfortunately, only a very mixed performance. It started with us standing at the entrance for ages until someone felt compelled to speak to us. People preferred to discuss something between themselves rather than address the guest and even after the meeting people walked past us several times. The menu didn't look inviting either and was totally dirty, at least one of them. The food was really good, there's nothing to complain about. But no one asked us if we would like dessert or something to drink. At some point we at least caught the waitress to pay. The ambience is nice, but very loud.

Of course, the Bavarian capital has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. But if you don't want to eat animal protein, you're usually not in good hands in the Isar metropolis. The heart of anyone who despises meat is particularly happy when an exquisite restaurant with a vegetarian-vegan focus can be found in the city center. The dishes we ordered (gnocchi with tomato sauce and rocket, a pizza with truffles and one with sheep's cheese) were delicious. The price level was extremely reasonable for Munich standards. An all-round enjoyable gastronomic experience that we would be happy to repeat with heart on our next visit to the cosmopolitan city."

Die Bedienung, die uns Tische zugwiesen hat, war leider extrem unfreundlich. Es wurden zweimal falsche Gerichte gebracht, obwohl die Bedienung sogar zweimal nachgefragt hat welches Gericht genau wir haben möchten. Qualität war durchwachsen. Alles in allem leider gar kein angenehmer Besuch.

Unfortunately, extremely unfriendly service, two wrong orders even though we pointed this out several times, food quality okay to not particularly good. Not here again.

Nice, friendly service, atmosphere ok. The joy of a spelled pizza quickly turned into frustration. Dried bread dough, dried feta cheese and spinach. Not even an oil. To be honest, it's not worth €3. Also my wife's gratin, not worthy of a "high-end restaurant". Wine was ok. Will not go there again, for a total of €100, more than disappointing.

Having a vegetarian feast and enjoying the atmosphere are all things that are encouraged here and are thanked at the same time

Review: Yesterday we were here for coffee and tea – and it was a complete pleasure! The choice of drinks was large and the poppy seed cake I had was simply delicious. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Muc! Fantastic cuisine from all over the world (Bavarian, Italian, Indian inspired,...), great ambience, very nice service. Everyone can really find something here: we're there often and haven't had anything that wasn't very satisfactory. Also worth highlighting is the diverse selection of cakes and tarts, where, as with the rest of the menu, there are also many vegan options. Always worth a visit.

initially gave this restaurant 3 stars (6 years! ago), but now reducing to 1 for trying to remove my rating for no reason. luckily i managed to prove to google that my rating reflected my real experience. instead of gathering information about customer satisfaction and finding out what to improve, the restaurant decided to „tune“ their rating. shameless.

I was in the restaurant together w my wife in may 2022. my wife left okeish review (3 stars). Instead of improving their services the restaurant management decided that it would be a good idea to complain in Feb 2025 (almost 3 years later) about „fake“ review to google. I was lucky enough to find the transaction, because I paid back than by card. Now, I don’t believe that kind of behavior ethic and should be. I can imagine that this is not just one case, so when you see the high rating of this restaurant (currently 4.5) u probably should consider some „discount“. So the „real“ rating might be closer to 3.

The ambience and service were very good and inviting But we were disappointed with the dishes. They were good but a bit too simple for the price. Above all, the look on the plate was terrible: a spinach porridge and rice that was poured in a ball shape to make it look a bit more "fancy". We still ate well and were full at the end.

The Ayurvedic Thali plate tasted excellent, as did the seitan slices in red wine sauce. It was very busy, but the service was warm and attentive. Thanks for a great birthday meal!

Extensive vegetarian option! I would recommend to anyone looking out for vegetarian options! Both vegan and vegetarian options available! We had a lasagne and a steamed vegetables with tomato sauce! This was a very good dish! It’s a large restaurant and very few servers/ table staff so expect delays in taking orders and food coming in! This is not a place for a quick meal! They had a regular mango tiramisu and a vegan tiramisu with soya cream instead of mascarpone! The lemon tart also looked good!

Excelente Restaurante apto para vegetarianos Hoy había ido a almorzar con mi esposa y mis nietos, había comido excelente pizza vegetariana Mozarella, y Ayurveda thali. I've been eating here every now and then for many, many years. Delicious dishes, no question, but nothing earth-shattering and of course overpriced. In return you get a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff on site. Here you pay primarily for the location and that's fine with me from time to time. You can do it.

Prince Myshkin is really good! I had a delicious cappuccino here before we went somewhere else later for a hotpot dinner. The atmosphere is clean, cozy and very friendly. Anh Ba's family also ate here and were very satisfied.

Top food, top service, top location! One of my favorites

The miso soup was only lukewarm and had little taste, rather watery. We can recommend the tomato and lentil soup, which is rich and also hot. The potato-zucchini casserole was only lukewarm and the crust could have been crispy, the taste was good, but it has been better in the past. The buckwheat crepes filled with spinach were delicious, but in a cream sauce (not vegan, switching to coconut cream would be a healthier alternative) which was very filling, you feel heavy if you eat everything. In general, there are a lot of great dishes on the menu - but as vegans we would be happy if more dishes were converted to vegan.

The food is good, Service relaxed and a bit on the slow side but still nice. Nice ambience, very spacious. Big choice in menu. Prices rather high, for my taste a little bit too high. Differences between prices in menu and prices on the leaflet we got additionally on the table for the same product (lemonade) - and the customer gets charged the higher price… It wasn’t much difference (around 10%) but still…

We really enjoyed our dinner at Prinz Myshkin. After a meaty few days with limited vegetarian options, finding a diverse and delicious veggie dinner was exactly what we wanted. Print Myshkin didn't disappoint. Lovely atmosphere and great building - vaulted ceilings with simple, modern art accompanied a fabulous vegetarian range, with some generous tasty desserts too. Would definitely return next time we're in Munich.

If you value a good customer experience you might want to go elsewhere. We have been to this restaurant a few years ago and the service and food were phenomenal. Today we wanted to try it out and got disappointed. The restaurant was at 40% full at most, but no one would care to come to us, to greet or to give us a seat. The barista told us to just grab a table and we did. No one came to give us the menu so we took it ourselves. But after 15 min of waiting no one came not even after asking. They would just pass by pretending they don’t see you. We ended up leaving. The unfriendly waitress saw us and instead of coming to offer an apology or try to take an order, she just readjusted the table. We just went around the corner to Sauvage Restaurant which offers a first class gastronomic vegan experience.

Unfortunately, we don't understand the many good reviews. A lot is of course a matter of taste but with a truffle pizza for €21 I expect to taste at least some of the truffle. The pizza was thin like a tarte flambée, there was a lot of truffle grated on top but the taste didn't come through. In the end I wasn't full at all. I honestly told the waiter that when asked. In my opinion, however, the reaction to this left something to be desired: “It’s just a normal pizza,” he said. Too bad. Maybe it was just me and I made the wrong choice, but we probably won't come back.

Truly exceptional vegetarian dishes! I had the tofu stroganoff. The noodles were homemade and the sauce a complex mixture of mushrooms and herbs. I liked it so much, I returned the next night for the lasagna. Delicious! The waiter recommended a red wine which was excellent too. My favorite restaurant during a month long trip to Germany.

A fixed star for vegetarian dishes, always very good

We had a very tasty meal here. My girlfriend had the red Thai curry and I had the truffle pizza. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the taste so we also treated ourselves to a piece of cake. We particularly liked the interior with the high ceilings and the great lamps. Our waitress was very accommodating and very nice. We'd love to come back.

Omg!!!! The vegan ragou I have ever had. Everything was amazing, the service was impeccable, our waitress was from another European country, Sweden or Norway, forgive me if I'm wrong, she spoke German and English and was amazing help. The food was delicious, and they had a variety of cuisines. If ever go back to Germany, I will definitely eat there again.

WORST place ever!!! Don’t go! We wen’t yesterday with a friend to get coffee and tea, something simple, however it took them over 25 minutes to come to our table outside, because I had to come inside to ask whether we needed to order inside or if there was someone coming. We ordered 1 tea - 1 capuccino and 1 Apfelstruddel.. The tea and coffee arrived after 5 mints and the strudel never arrived, despite asking for this and ordering another cappuccino. After almost 45 minutes we decided to leave since none of these things appeared and when I went inside to pay, they wanted to charge me these additional orders!!! When I refused the woman attending got mad and started screaming saying I was not her fault this doesn’t come and I need to pay… unbelievable Service, slow, rude, disrespectful and borderline discriminatory. Im not sure if this is because we are foreign, despite living here and speaking German, but it was a terrible experience!!

Not the best service. The waiter told me he has no time to give me food recommendations since he has a lot to do 😅 Moreover, the food is medium at best. Soup was not good, main dish and desert were ok, but nothing special. A very expensive price without a reason.
