We happened upon your Primecut by chance because we were looking for a restaurant with a large parking lot, as we were traveling with our horse trailer. The woman on the phone was very friendly. The service was impeccable; the drinks we ordered were served immediately. After a pleasant wait of about 15 minutes, our food arrived. The steaks were cooked to perfection, medium-rare, and we had a great salad with our choice of dressing. Nothing was left to be desired; the food was truly delicious; the service was very pleasant and attentive. I've rarely eaten so well at a steakhouse. This won't be the last time we visit you. Nice ambiance, the waitress was very attentive and courteous. The rump steak I ordered was, in my opinion, overpriced for the quality. On top of that, it wasn't cooked to perfection. You should expect that for the price. I was very bothered by the fact that one of the chefs in the kitchen was constantly busy with his phone and then started preparing food with his gloves on. I find this completely unprofessional and unhygienic, and in my opinion, this is an absolute no-go.

The ambiance is really nice and the fries were excellent, but unfortunately that's where the list of highlights ends. The service was rather average: not unfriendly, but not particularly attentive either. The burgers seemed unloving and tasted completely interchangeable, lacking any memorable special features. Things got really unpleasant with the coleslaw: there was a piece of plastic between the salad. We mentioned it to the server, but there was neither an apology nor a sign of regret. We initially found a seat outside, but the table was shaking so much that we ended up moving. Apparently this wasn't an isolated incident, because the guests after us did exactly the same. To me, it seems like the motto here is "it'll be fine" rather than any real attention being paid to quality and the guest experience.

[Original] I had already told the waiter this evening: this visit was a disaster. I'm a long-time PrimeCut guest and therefore went there with a certain amount of anticipation and expectation. However, I have to say that these expectations, built up over the years, were not fulfilled today at all. This is the first time I've left PrimeCut thinking I'll have to get something to eat at home. We had called in advance to ask if a table was available. This was confirmed with a "yes, just drop by." Upon arrival, however, I had the impression that this hadn't been noted. Well, no big deal, we got a table. Order placed, friendly service. So far, good. Then it all "started": drinks arrived after the salad. What now? Then came the main course: fake fries. When I pointed it out, the young man said, "You know what? I'll leave the fries here and bring you the sweet potato fries." Well, unfortunately, they never arrived. The meat wasn't medium as requested, but well done. The herb butter... was that really herb butter??... I couldn't detect any herbs in it... and by the way, that was the butter my wife shared with me... mine never even arrived. It was supposed to be a great end to a beautiful day. Thanks for "ruining it." When the mood is at a low, I feel the need to leave quickly. Unfortunately, that didn't work, as other tables also had "requests for improvements," there seemed to be internal discussions between the waiter and the kitchen at the counter, and the option to pay was delayed. Sorry, Team Primecut, but today was simply "a disaster."

🌟 New or revised review: Update to my original review: After our visit to Primecut Steakhouse, we initially had the feeling that the billing wasn't entirely accurate. After contacting the restaurant, the case was investigated quickly and very professionally. The team acknowledged the error, sincerely apologized, and easily refunded the overpaid amount. This approach deserves high praise – that's true customer service! Apart from that, the food was truly excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant, and the service attentive. Thank you for the transparent and friendly resolution – we'll be happy to return! Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Six of us were there, and the food was consistently excellent – everything was delicious. The quality of the food and the atmosphere are definitely upscale, which is naturally reflected in the price. Expensive, yes – but we thought it was worth it. One downside, however, was that we realized afterward that we had probably overpaid. Unfortunately, we only noticed this when we got home and looked at the menu again. Given the prices charged, this shouldn't happen – transparency and accuracy in billing are essential, especially in this price range.

We were there, and the service was extremely poor. Not only did one person's food arrive 20 minutes later than everyone else's, but we also had a piece of plastic in our salad. These things can happen accidentally, but even though we pointed it out, they didn't respond. Not even an apology. We were practically ignored when paying and had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill. We won't be coming back and can't recommend it, even though the steaks were delicious. The service should be a bit more appropriate for the ambiance.

Actually, everything was fine except that there was only one employee for breakfast. It's an absolute disgrace that only one employee is on duty. We waited 20 minutes for coffee and 30 minutes for rolls. The owner and manager should have their fingers falling off counting money. This is unacceptable... an apology to both the customer and the employee is required.

Please don't advertise high-end steaks if the kitchen doesn't master basic cooking levels like "medium." We were a larger group, and some of the steaks were served well-done instead of medium. After we complained, the friendly server responded quickly, apologized, and brought us new steaks. Unfortunately, they tasted strongly of burnt charcoal. We've eaten here several times before, but this time we had the impression that the quality of the meat had declined significantly. Has the supplier been changed? We give it two stars for the service – the staff was attentive and very helpful.

I've been to Prime Cut in Giessen several times – and have been completely satisfied every time. The food is consistently of a very high standard: excellent meat quality, perfectly prepared, and the side dishes are always fresh and flavorful. The staff is not only friendly but also attentive and professional. I particularly appreciate the way they accommodate individual requests – for example, if you request a more discreet, quieter seating. In my opinion, one of the best steakhouses in the region. I highly recommend it.

We were totally disappointed! We were looking forward to a special evening and therefore chose Primecut, which we knew to be very good. We were the only table who didn't receive a welcome from the kitchen or a salad before our main course. Our steak wasn't cooked as ordered. The meat was extremely dry and had a gristly tendon. We were completely disappointed. The waiters tried to move us to a different table as an apology, but we just wanted to leave. A real shame, and no comparison to the quality we once knew.

We were there in a group. Some colleagues had already finished and gone to smoke. I went to the restroom, and when I came back, my half-full plate had already been cleared away. When I asked, they wanted to see if it was still in the kitchen, but it had already ended up in the trash. How can I just clear away a plate that was still full without asking? Apparently, they don't trust their own cooking skills. The food was really good, though. After some back and forth and the offer of a free coffee (which I declined), I was given some packaged food (to go). All well and good, but they seemed a bit annoyed about it. The food was thrown together so carelessly that I didn't eat it. It looked like it had just been taken out of the trash. What a shame! Maybe next time. Admit mistakes, package it attractively and deliciously, then it'll get a high rating. Thanks.

I was at PrimeCut in Giessen on June 7, 2025. I had the veal spare ribs. Very good meat, a good portion, and excellent flavor. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick. The wine recommendations were also very good. Today there was live music with violin and piano – a pleasant volume, rounding off the overall experience very well. We ate at the steakhouse with four people on Ascension Day and were unfortunately disappointed in several ways. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed with a restaurant that was 80% full. It started with the "reception," where the young lady asked us about our reservation. After we gave her the reservation details, she turned around with a roll of her eyes and simply said, "That's the table for six." She left us standing there and ran off. So we looked for a table and sat down. As soon as we sat down, we were asked for drinks, even though we hadn't even received our tickets yet. We first asked for the tickets and for some time. Barely a minute later, she was back behind our table with the impatient question, "So, have you decided now?" As guests, we clearly felt the stress of the staff, which was a real shame. Unfortunately, even our food couldn't save the situation. The asparagus burger was ice cold, and the cheese on it wasn't even melted. The rump steak, which we ordered medium-rare, was extremely tough and more accurately described as "done." Both courses were returned. Unfortunately, even on the second attempt, neither the quality nor the taste impressed us. Seasoning was lacking everywhere. The burger lacked any seasoning, and the garlic butter didn't have a hint of garlic... All in all, a truly disappointing experience, especially since we ended up spending almost €200. Overall, it wasn't a great experience and, unfortunately, absolutely not worth the money.

My last visit to your steakhouse was unfortunately a huge disappointment – ​​especially compared to my previous business dinner experiences. The steak I ordered was not medium rare as requested, but raw and cold. The food was distributed haphazardly, without asking who had ordered what. The drink service was also chaotic – the drinks weren't served properly, but simply left on the table. What was particularly annoying was the over 30-minute wait to pay, even though the restaurant was almost empty. I've never encountered such disorganized and uncaring service in this setting. Despite everything, I left a €20 tip – out of respect for the staff, but definitely not for the quality of the service. Yesterday, on our wedding anniversary, we went to the Primecut Steakhouse in Giessen for the first time. What can I say: it deserves 5 out of 5 stars. Here are my positive experiences there: ✨ A restaurant that's open 24/7. Accordingly, we were able to eat at 4:30 p.m. when we were hungry. ✨ Great, generous parking spaces right in front of the restaurant. ✨ Online reservation service, which I find so convenient and easy these days. ✨ Service staff: beyond top-notch! Everyone who came to our table was super nice, very accommodating, and checked in at convenient intervals to make sure everything was okay. ✨ A great selection of food, from salads to hamburgers to steaks. ✨ The food was delivered in about 15/20 minutes, great time! Something you rarely experience. ✨ The quality and taste of the steak: indescribable! Absolutely recommended. ✨ Fair price for the quality! ✨ Incredibly beautiful ambiance. Comfortable atmosphere: 10 out of 10! ✨ Very clean restrooms. The women's restroom has a changing table and a heater, which is especially great for moms with small babies. And the only "negative" point I've found so far is: we had a total of four staff members at the table. Somehow, one person, or two at most, would have been enough to have someone to talk to. But since everyone was super nice, I don't even see it as a "negative" point, but rather as a small suggestion for improvement. I can absolutely recommend Primecut and can't understand criticisms like: quality has declined, etc. How good can a steak be? We had a wonderful end to the day there and would come back anytime. First of all, there's nothing American about this restaurant. The restaurant is run by Turks, both in the service and in the kitchen. The spices come from Blockhouse, and there's no pork anywhere on the menu. The prices are quite expensive!

We've always been very satisfied with the quality of the meat and the preparation. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this time. It wasn't busy (5 p.m.) when we arrived. We had to wait a long time for the starter - no big deal. All three main courses weren't as ordered; they were all cooked thoroughly! The service staff took it back without hesitation, and we received new dishes. Unfortunately, they weren't cooked to perfection as requested, but we just wanted to eat. We sat inside and could see that the service staff were arguing with the kitchen the whole time. A lot of plates went back to the kitchen that day. The service was very attentive and gave us dessert on the house, but that couldn't make up for it. When you pay over €250.00 for three people, you expect a certain level of quality. Tisch für 19 Uhr reserviert. Punkt 19 Uhr vor Ort gewesen. Leichte Planlosigkeit aber dann zügig einen Tisch erhalten. Bei den Softdrinks stehen die 0,33l Glasflaschen auf dem Tisch, könnte man schöner lösen. Bei den Nachbestellungen kamen wieder neue Gläser (Eiswürfel und Zitrone) !! und Flaschen. Die leeren Gläser und Flaschen wurden erst einige Zeit später abgeräumt. Insgesamt fast 1,5 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Nicht so toll. Das Essen (Spare Ribs und Steak) war jedoch wirklich gut. Deshalb würde ich sagen: Meckern auf hohen Niveau. Einfach Zeit mit einplanen und einen schönen Abend bei leckeren Essen genießen. Hatten wir noch ein Dessert gewählt, wären wir sicherlich 4 Stunden vor Ort gewesen !

We went to this steakhouse last Friday. The atmosphere is like a sports hall. We ordered 2 French Mignon steaks with side dishes. One steak was ordered cooked to “rare” (rare), the other to “medium”. Both steaks were served “well done”. My friend had it returned. When the replacement delivery arrived, the rest of us guests had already finished eating. I also expect from a steakhouse that the focus is on the steak. In fact, a round piece of meat about 5-6 cm in diameter was served. But there is also a huge salad plate. That alone would have been completely satiating. Overall, far too expensive and, in my opinion, a very poor price/performance ratio. In any case, we don't need it anymore.

Es war für ihn auf den Punkt gebratene. Die Burger waren sehr gut und gut abgeschmeckt. Auch die kleinsten kamen mit einem Miniburger und Chicken Nuggets auf ihre Kosten.

We went here back in May 2022. I thought this was place was pretty good for the quality of steak. The price is a little hefty for the quantity and the quality of the steak. However, compared to other steak restaurants this is the better one to go to. We ordered the popcorn shrimp, a hamburger (I do not remember which one) and a filet mignon. I still would have to say that the Texas Roadhouse chain in the U.S.A. does a better job of the selection of steaks and the side orders that come with the meal.

We ordered two steaks, a fillet and a rib-eye. Both should be medium-rare. Unfortunately, the fillet was still completely cold inside, and even after complaining about it, it came back cold again. The other rib-eye, on the other hand, was completely cooked through and therefore very tough. The Cabernet Sauvignon I ordered was also disappointing: there was white residue floating in the glass and the wine tasted unpleasantly sour. The only positive thing about the evening was the service. All the waitresses were very friendly, attentive and tried hard. Unfortunately that was our last visit.

My daughter and I were invited for our birthdays and were in the restaurant with 15 people. Today it became clear that you shouldn't necessarily believe some reviews. The whole evening was just right! Staff very friendly, attentive but totally calm, very pleasant. The food came quite quickly, everyone got their food pretty much at the same time. A smooth process! The respective orders were correct, the portions were perfect. And now about the food: no complaints whatsoever, everyone enjoyed it very much, the meat was cooked to perfection, very tender and tasted excellent. We spent a very nice evening with our guests! Gladly again….

We've eaten at this steakhouse three times in the past and decided to eat here again this year during our stay in Giessen. We originally wanted to reserve a table for two on Saturday afternoon, but after we explained that we were staying at the hotel belonging to the steakhouse, the waitress suggested we could just drop in. We did so at 8:15 p.m. There were quite a few people waiting – we were the only table of two waiting and were seated relatively quickly. We were kindly offered a glass of sparkling wine to help pass the time. The drinks menu arrived at our table relatively quickly – the drinks we ordered also arrived relatively quickly... and then – nothing else arrived for a long time. After about 40 minutes, we were finally able to look at the menu and order our food. 1 appetizer, 2 beef fillets, cooked medium-rare. The appetizer arrived quickly, but the food was rather subpar. The side salad for the fillets never arrived/was forgotten. What we were treated to, however, while we waited, overlooking the open kitchen (show kitchen), was comedy at its finest. While chatting with the tables next to us, who were experiencing the same thing, we wondered if we'd landed on a hidden camera... Our steaks arrived at our table at 11:00 PM and were cooked well. Not even medium, but well done. The server asked if she could quickly bring us a burger. Since we weren't hungry at that time and after our second glass of wine, we declined. We also declined the attempt to bring us a salad. When we paid, we were charged the full price – but the two salads were then spontaneously deducted from the menu at the table without discussion. The servers tried their best all evening to sort out the chaos in the kitchen (speed, quality, allocation, etc.), but ultimately they had no chance. That's an extra point. We will not be visiting this steakhouse again in the future and, in this context, see no reason to stay overnight in the hotel next door.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work for lunch menus of 25 euros or more either! Quality was ok but the sizes were rather small for the price! The service doesn't make any effort either and questions are not answered correctly and if so, only very listlessly without any apparent effort. Extra costs for changes are not mentioned. Tables are clean but the rest could be cleaner. It all seems very careless... We won't be coming back any time soon.

As soon as you arrive, the view of an apparently empty B&B building and a stunningly modern dance establishment that was built 25 years ago gives off real good vibes that whet your appetite for more. A quickly constructed building, pimped all around with inexpensive plastic windows, rises as majestically as a bowling alley in the exquisite “Ursulum” commercial area. The interior is a mix of hunting club and Ikea restaurant, refined with a touch of pseudo-elegant Xenos decorative elements and village disco flair. As soon as my tender buttocks touched the bench, the waiter, dressed in a fitted “Das Traumschiff” uniform, asked what we wanted for drinks. Even hastily turning the menu back and forth, sweating as he searched for the choice of drink, didn't stop the gentleman from continuing to stare at us with his crayon raised. It took even longer to get our food orders out. Enough time to take in the inspiring surroundings. In the north, east and south directions, sexy boys vegetate in unironed, sloppy hoodies, enjoying the rush of fake luxury. As the food is prepared with abandon, things get dark, dark and spooky. A stand-up sign is lovingly placed in such a way that leaving your seat becomes challenging. After a few minutes it becomes apparent that the idea wasn't all that great after all. It is being redecorated again. The food is coming. Oh no, bread first. Oh no, it is declared as a greeting as the kitchen. Two cold slices of homemade bread are placed in the middle of the table. A blob of garlic curd beckons from the tube from the tube, quickly dressed up with two pomegranate seeds to cover up the latter for the inattentive observer. Exclusive doesn't even begin to describe it. The main course shines with over-salted fries from the frozen section in a dialogue with old frying fat. The desperate attempt to take the purchased higher, but not high-quality beef to the next culinary level with forced creative and original taste partners fails in front of the eyes of the tormented restaurant visitor. While the potted plants in the background are illuminated alternately by an LED light in three colors and the question inevitably arises as to whether they represent tasteless fragments of the previous Christmas season or are already the harbingers of the neighboring discotheque, the bill is presented in branded polyurethane packaging. One thing you have to leave “Prime Cut” behind: the efforts to make sub-average appear high-quality are consistently carried through to the end. There is a real concept here between the allegorical industrial bread, dear friends of the real culinary delight. Less for more – it just works.

The location is nice, but something went wrong this evening. Plates were returned at all the tables around us, the neighboring table waited an hour for 2 burgers. When our steaks arrived, we both had the feeling that it was significantly less than the number of grams we ordered (grilling taken into account after weighing). As we could see, the fries had probably been under the heat lamp for a while and were therefore very crunchy. The steaks came with a thick pepper crust (not everyone likes that) and the steak knives were unfortunately blunt (wooden handles are also not particularly hygienic in a large restaurant). A heart goes out to the blonde, short-haired waitress who still tried to bring order to the chaos. We paid a total of over €70 for 2, which unfortunately wouldn't have been worth it for us tonight

Wir waren schon öfter hier. Leider hat der Service nachgelassen und auch das Essen. Wir haben über 90 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet. Dann kam es nicht gleichzeitig. Ein Steak war zu durch das andere noch blutig. Ein Burger kam nicht wie bestellt mit glutenfreiem Bun und musste ebenfalls zurück. Geschmacklich am Ende alles gut aber für den Preis den man fürs Essen bezahlt, sollte auch alles reibungslos klappen. Gut ist natürlich, dass man überhaupt glutenfreie Optionen bekommt. Das müssen wir positiv erwähnen.

From some seats you can directly watch the preparation in the kitchen. Salads are fresh with delicious dressing. Never again! The atmosphere is just too loud. Like in a train station hall, the guests are always chattering. The food took about 2.5 hours to arrive. Really crazy! I had the "turkey breast" and had to laugh: just a small flat piece of grilled meat; no seasoning or anything else; and that for over 20€; absolute disgrace. The chips that are included everywhere come from the leftovers box; just small 2-3cm pieces and then fried for too long... The best thing was the "potato gratin with cheese"... that was a piece of something on a small plate and that for 5€; I was really angry about that. Meanwhile at the next table: 6 people, they also waited 2.5 hours for their food; one was completely forgotten and when he got his lump of meat, after about 3 hours, it was inedible and completely raw. You get the impression that because so many people are crammed in there, they just can't cope with the amount of orders and are completely overwhelmed. Some of the service staff also run around like minions and have no idea. Conclusion: Never again! Buy a piece of meat from your trusted butcher and fry it in the pan yourself. At least with PrimeCut you won't have a gastronomic experience!!!

After two hours the food arrived...baked potatoes and fries were cold, one steak was completely cooked through, the other was clearly too small (maximum 180g instead of 250g) There was a second portion...the meat was raw! Both the quality of the food preparation and the service were a no go! At least the waitress apologized, which made the boss's attack of arrogance a little more bearable. We spent a total of 3.5 hours in the store and waited over 2 hours for food. One person didn't get any food even after 3 hours! Our side salads came 1.5 hours earlier and were good, but the main courses were all terribly bad. Steaks raw! (Although ordered medium/well) Baked potato cold and old. Fries cold Burgers were either overcooked and cold or raw and cold. Despite the new owner's best efforts, it was an extremely lousy experience. The good thing: it was our last time there. Within a few weeks, the reputation/quality of a restaurant that had already existed for 10 years was destroyed. Too bad. Good luck and above all happiness.
