Basilico Gemüse Kebap & Pizza Napoletana in Gießen

I went to there to take a Döner but unfortunately the workers were really slow and unfriendly. I may not recommend it to other visitors.

Unfortunately completely screwed up. Food was not complete. Fries and drinks were missing. When the delivery was made there was only cola. I won't let my two year old child drink cola! Really a shame

Disaster. Last time, despite repeating it over the phone, the order was completely mixed up and was wrong, but the taste was pretty good so we gave it another chance today. Not only was the order wrong again this time, the veal was simply spoiled!! Of course, I only noticed it when I unpacked it at home, the smell was terrible, I tried it briefly and threw the whole thing away. That just doesn't work at all...

Chicken in the vegetarian Seitan bowl… That's not possible if you advertise it as vegan/vegetarian.

A different kind of place. There is something for everyone. Tastes really delicious. Great location, clean, nice and good ambience. Stylishly furnished. Guys behind the counter cool.

Disaster! After waiting over two hours for our food and after 1.5 hours we decided When we called the restaurant to politely ask when we could expect our food, we were told by the Staff still complained why We would now call and ask, it was clearly communicated that it would take 90 minutes (by the way: it was not communicated! The online confirmation said 30-45 minutes. We waited a total of over two hours!!! ) When the food was finally delivered it was a complete disappointment. The limp burger and the cold and square fries for an overpriced €17 were not only thrown into the packaging in an absolutely careless and unappetizing manner, but also absolutely not tasty (see photo). All in all, unfortunately an absolute disappointment and definitely - due to many aspects - not recommended! Too bad...

4.29 p.m. Ordered 2 pizzas via Lieferando. There is already the information, delivery around 6 p.m. We thought to ourselves, “Oh, 90 minutes for 2 pizzas on a Monday afternoon…” After waiting for over 2 hours, I called the company and asked about my food and that it wouldn't be okay to pay the full price now, if the food even came at some point. Was then passed back and forth to 3 different employees. Meanwhile the driver also arrived with his rickety pizza boxes. Nobody said anything on the phone and at some point they simply hung up. I then sent the driver away with his pizzas. An absolute nonsense!!!

It was really tasty again 😋 Really great value for money. Staff quick and friendly. We would love to come back 😉

I think the food is great, good cuisine. The waiting time isn't bad if you have enough time. I think the service is very inattentive, I prefer to chat rather than attend to the guests. A pity

You always get late orders. They always bring the food late and cold. Even though I repeat the order one by one, they receive the wrong order. Today we ordered for 4 people, but the food arrived for 3 people. We were not satisfied at all and I cannot recommend it. If you're willing to wait, the meal portions are large and filling.

It's a shame, the staff was nice. I picked up food there, I ordered a salad from the fit one. Unfortunately there was a fly in the salad and the nuts weren't there either. Am very disappointed. Unfortunately I was already home when I opened it, so I couldn't complain straight away.

Really great food and a large selection of vegan dishes. Many dishes are simply structured so that you can decide whether you want them vegan (kebab, durum, pizza, bowls,...) Service was really great and we didn't have to wait long. The only tiny criticism: The music was a bit inappropriate and seemed more like a fast food restaurant, loud and very fast. Maybe a quieter playlist will be better received overall.

Has potential, but unfortunately it is not being exploited. Pizza dough is good, but far from Neapolitan. More tomato sauce and much less cheese, please, as befits a Neapolitan pizza.

Food was delivered, I can't say anything about the ambience. My flatbread was drenched in sauce. The vegetables were mushy and the chicken was missing. The first time I ordered a few weeks ago, the food was great. Unfortunately, I won't find out whether good food will be available again in the future!

The location is spotlessly clean and you receive a friendly welcome. The view of the kitchen gives a very good feeling. The food, no matter what we have eaten there so far, was simply great! So far on the list, the kebab is first! The meat is great and you can order a spicy kebab ;-) I would always recommend the sweet potato fries with the burger ;-) See you soon!

Something has changed... I've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed... until now :( It wasn't busy. We ordered 2 casseroles and had to wait at least an hour for them to be ready ( The cheese didn't have a brown crust either). Instead of being communicated to us in advance that it could take longer, we were only told after 45 minutes of waiting (and we had already asked before) that the oven was only turned on late and casseroles which always take 30 minutes. If we had been told about this from the start, we could have changed our food choices. We had already ordered casseroles 5 months ago and it all took less than half an hour and there was nice and friendly service. What happened?

The kebab is only a third of the size it once was. The taste is still good, but you need at least 2-3 of them to fill you up.

Regret getting food here. Wholemeal bread tasted like a rag and I had a whole clove of garlic in the kebab. I bit into it and have been extremely sick ever since - I hate garlic. Never again !!!!!!

Without any discussion regarding price/performance, the best pizza in Giessen!

Wannabe store. Exhausted run-of-the-mill ambience, the main thing is Instagrammable. Preparing the kebab takes forever, we were alone in the shop at the beginning and only got it after 20 minutes. Meat reminds me of a standard mixed turkey skewer. Bread falls apart easily, allowing the sauces to seep through. Teriyaki sauce tastes very industrial, like a ready-made sauce from Metro or Penny. Very difficult to eat. Price for watering also an announcement (9 euros!!)

The restaurant's casseroles are simply delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. The kebab with the special wholemeal bread is also a highlight. The store itself is superbly designed and everything seems perfect. There is no room for improvement in my opinion - an all around great place!

DAS WAR der BESTE Döner, den ich je gegessen habe (und ich habe schon seeeeeehr viele Döner verzehrt). Angefangen beim Brot, das man auch in einer Vollkorn-Version bekommen kann, mega leckeres Bio-Fleisch, ganz tolle Soßen, mega geniale "Ausführungen" - UND das Beste, man ist nachhaltig unglaublich gesättigt! Leckeres Eck" ist einfach unschlagbar! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hier gibt es definitiv den besten Döner in der Stadt! Das Fleisch ist perfekt gewürzt, saftig und einfach köstlich. Der Salat ist frisch und knackig, genau die richtige Ergänzung. Die Atmosphäre im Laden ist einladend, sauber und macht den Besuch besonders angenehm. 5 Sterne sind wirklich mehr als verdient!

Definitiv sehr lecker 😋 geschmacklich ein anderer Level. Ich komme gerne wieder, da gibt’s noch einiges auf der Menükarte was verspeist werden muss.

Ich habe hier sowohl die Pizza als auch den Kebap probiert. Der Kebap ist für mich einer der besten in Gießen. Frische Produkte, anständiges Fleisch, gutes Brot und solide Saucen. Ich finde nur, dass das gebratene Gemüse den Geschmack des restlichen Kebaps zu sehr überdeckt und leider sind drei der fünf Varianten mit gebratenem Gemüse, weswegen ich eigentlich immer nur die Basisvariation nehme, welche dann aber trotzdem sehr gut schmeckt. Die Pizza und der Teig orientieren sich an dem neapolitanischen Stil, den ich persönlich auch bevorzuge. Die Pizza Margherita war sehr lecker. Auch hier finde ich es schade, dass wenn man schon so eine gute Basis für die Pizza hat, diese mit wirklich eigenartigen Variationen wie Kebap, Sucuk oder einem rohen Rinderschinken, der oben draufgelegt wird und total trocken ist, ruiniert. Das nimmt den Pizzen leider etwas Authentizität weg. Der Service war immer nett und freundlich zu mir und die Location ist schön eingerichtet. Alles in Allem ist aber der Kebap das Gericht, weswegen ich wieder dort hin gehen würde.

Wir wurden von einem sehr freundlichen Kellner bedient. Wenn Menschlichkeit und Charakter spürt, fühlt man sich wohl und man kommt immer wieder. Liebe Grüsse. :)

VEGAN!! Ein toller, neuer Laden mit EXTREM viel VEGANER Auswahl im Herzen von Gießen. Wir hatten pro Pderson einen veganen Döner und eine vegane Pizza, es gab aber auch vegane Burger, veganen Auflauf, sowie vegane Salate zur Auswahl. Der vegane Döner hatte mega viele Möglichkeiten zur Gestaltung und war extrem lecker. Man konnte sich mehrere Brotsorten, vegane Soßen und verschiedene Kombinationen von Gemüsefüllungen aussuchen (klassisch, griechisch, mit Bohnen und Pepperoni, etc). Man konnte zusätzlich zwischen Saitan und Tofustreifen als Fleischersatz wählen. Der Fladen und damit der Döner war DOPPELT so groß wie bei "normalen" Dönern und bei ähnlichen Preisen dadurch extrem günstig. Durch die verschiedenen Option zur Auswahl ist es weniger ein klassischer Döner, man kann echt viel machen. Ich würde allerdings die Tofustreifen über die Saitanstücke empfehlen, da der Saitan nicht so gut gewürzt und in sehr großen Stücken kam. Die vegane Pizzen kamen mit klassischen veganen Käse, ebenfalls echt gut, aber der Döner war definitiv besser. Wir hatten ebenfalls selbsgemachte Smoothies und Coktails, welche hervorragend waren. Bedienung war freundlich und bemüht. TLDR: Alles in allem ein sehr toller, moderner und sauberer Laden mit netten Personal und tollen, preiswerten veganen Essen mit starker Auswahl. Essen sehr gut doch dafür kann die Dame nicht im Service von der Dame mit dem „Queen“ Tattoo an dem Handgelenk und der Brille lässt zu wünschen übrig..Pampige Antworten fühlt nur jede std gekommen wenn man geschaut hatte zum bestellen wurde man ganz komisch angeschaut Gerne wieder nur hoffe ich auf eine andere kellnerin

Such a beautiful restaurant and i just came from America visit family and to try some doner kebap because i know Germany has some great places. This place had the most fresh tasting doner kebap the bread was home made and soft and lightly crispy 10/10 cant wait to come try other food again at this place and its so beautiful sitting outside on thier patio with flowers and nice scenery great service and experience all around. Nice little date spot as well to bring someone as the sunsets.

Don't call it a Döner! Dieses feinste Gericht was ich hier gegessen habe, kann man nicht mit einen 0815 Döner von der Ecke vergleichen. Ich war so was von überrascht als das riesige Gericht zu mir gebracht wurde! Ich habe noch nie einen so guten Kebab gegessen, insbesondere mit den tollen Möglichkeiten der Gestaltung, hierbei haben sich die 30 Minuten warte Zeit wirklich gelohnt! Der Kebab war vom aller feinsten, geschmacklich wie als auch optisch! Unsere Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Restaurant hat einen sehr sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck gemacht! Wir werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen !

Mein Magen hat rebelliert nach dem Essen. Das passiert immer wenn nicht sauber gearbeitet wird. Essen war ok, Service gut.

Die Pommes waren warm und unten noch heiß, aber der Döner war leider etwas kalt. Preislich etwas teuer für ein fancy Döner, den man sonst nicht in Gießen bekommt, geht aber der Preis. Döner mit Grillgemüse bestellt leider wurde es vergessen.

Hier schmeckt man die frische und das Dönerfleisch was wirklich Fleisch ist und nicht wie bei den meist anderen. Große Portionen zum fairen Preis! Suuuuper nette Bedienung und man fühlt sich hier wohl. Ihr seit spitze 🫶🧿

Echte Bereicherung für die Stadt, die Gasse entwickelt sich zu einer Fressgasse :) Döner, Wraps oder Pizzen lecker…Alles frisch zubereitet. Sauber und Hygienisch
