Unfortunately, it smells damp and musty in there. The service was friendly and the food was average.

What a pity. Long hairs in two of the four dishes really ruined our meal.

We ate there for the first time last night. Very cozy, very friendly. The food was wonderful. From the welcome from the kitchen and a fantastic cream, to a delicious dressing for the salad, to a truly exceptionally delicious main course. Everything was absolutely perfect – thank you. It's a shame we had to drive almost 650 km for another visit. Highly recommended!

Excellent food, excellent service! Meat, asparagus, salad, side dishes...all of top-notch quality and exceptionally deliciously prepared. Every component of the dishes is so flavorful that you don't really need any sauce, because everything is so perfectly seasoned. But the sauces are just so delicious...and on top of that, the service is very attentive and friendly. It's especially worth mentioning that special requests are no problem at all. And all at absolutely fair prices. Thank you very much.

As of 05/11/25: I ate there again today, now you can even sit outside on the side behind the house. Price-performance ratio is still top. Full five stars for food and service.

I had dinner at Preyersmühle with friends for the first time. The service staff can be praised. You were never left high and dry when it came to drinks. For the main course I chose the men's steak No. 1. The rump steak with braised onions was served medium and was of first class quality. I can definitely recommend a visit to Preyersmühle.

Very tasty food, especially typical Bergisch food. Nice, friendly service. We were completely satisfied.

The Bauer pan was very good, but the woman yapped me with fat at the beginning and didn't put my fries in the funnel. Butter meat. I'll buy the canned one, thank you. I'll say thank you. I'm not part of the Müller family, but I like muesli. Tomorrow I'll have butter flat, yes, flat, I love it, Glenmire, more cheese. Thanks for the experience. I'd gladly not go again, although I did (in the bouta bust).

We were there for lunch with 5 people, again everything was very tasty, we are regulars there, the staff is very friendly, always happy

We celebrated our wedding there with 20 people. The preparation was absolutely uncomplicated. The space was just right for our celebration. The table design was implemented perfectly according to our wishes. The food from the coffee table to dinner to dessert was very tasty. Our guests were thrilled! Everything was also great in terms of price. Conclusion: We were completely satisfied! Absolutely recommended!

This restaurant with its delicious food reminds me of Sundays as a child. Always my pleasure. Good home-style food prepared very tasty.

A wonderful little beer garden visually invites you to linger. Unfortunately right on the main street. The food was fantastic (schnitzel and heaven and earth). The service was also great and not to be missed. Inside (we were only going to the toilet) it smelled damp, but it was very loving, overcrowded in places, decorated, but that was a matter of taste :) Parking spaces were available, including for bicycles, no explicit charging station, and access to the interior via stairs. Only cash payment and surcharge for supplement changes are the only things we had to “complain about”.

Absolutely recommended. The interior with the vault and the loving decoration with an eye for detail (lots of tea lights in beautiful glasses) ensures moments of well-being. The menu is not overloaded and offers dishes for every taste. Whether hearty, hearty, light, classic or rustic, the food impresses with its freshness and first-class preparation. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fine. The service staff are discreetly attentive and very friendly, even when you have special requests. We can only recommend this restaurant and would be happy to come back.

Recommended. We go there often and the food is always very good. The service was very friendly. The meat is of great quality and the salad is always very fresh and the dressing is very tasty. You should definitely try the onion and pepper sauce, it's great. There are also enough parking spaces and if the weather is nice and you prefer to eat outside, you can also get your food outside in the garden. The interior is rustic, with a small pond in the middle of the restaurant.

Salmon with fried potatoes was ordered; on the menu it would have been with mashed potatoes. Unfortunately the salmon was still raw inside. This can happen, but a “sorry” or an espresso on the house would have been a nice gesture. For changing the order from puree to fried potatoes, €0.80 was charged. I think that should be possible in a restaurant like this at no extra charge. The food was delicious, but unfortunately it had a strange aftertaste

Were here for a family celebration, the ambience had the charm of a basement room, nothing indicated that there was a celebration, service wasn't exactly well-functioning and airing was forgotten, too bad!

Nice middle-class restaurant with a dedicated cook. A lack of staff is also a problem here.

We had reserved. The restaurant was packed to capacity. Sufficient menu offerings. The quality of the food was very good and the sauces were homemade. Unfortunately it took a little too long for the food to be served. But this was cleverly bridged with a small starter and the salad. Friendly service should also be mentioned. We are looking forward to the next time.

Waren zu Weihnachtsfeier dort. Das Restaurant war gut besucht. Trotzdem war die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Essen war gut. Super war des Guinness vom Fass gab.

Auf dem Weg von Essen (EMS) nach Mannheim ca. 7km von der Autobahn entfernt... Alle MEGA freundlich... Essen sehr gut... Vor allem das Bergische Mühlen-Schnitzel... Sollte ich mal wieder in der Nähe sein komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei... Nur zu empfehlen.

Die Speisekarte bietet einen vorwiegend Bergischen Stil. Etwas ungewöhnlich bei manchen Gerichten, jedoch äußerst schmackhaft. Die Bedienung ist sehr gut. Aufmerksam und nicht aufdringlich. Bei Fragen zu Zutaten wird bestens geantwortet. Die Speisen sind hervorragend. Steak medium ist perfekt gebraten und schmackhaft gewürzt. Rundum ein sehr gutes Essen. Selbst bei allmählich vollem Lokal bleibt der Service freundlich und schnell. Es empfiehlt sich zu reservieren.

Wir waren heute das 1. Mal im Restaurant und waren begeistert. Das Lokal war brechend voll, aber alles lief entspannt ab. Jeder vom Service hatte seine Aufgaben, die sehr freundlich und aufmerksam erfüllt wurden. Das Essen war fantastisch (Gänsekeule und Sauerbraten, jeweils mit Rotkohl und Knödel). Auch das Ambiente war sehr schön. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Bergische Karte und Küche. Reichhaltig zum Sattwerden . Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis . Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung trotz vollen Restaurants.

Wir sind etwas zufällig da gewesen. Wir waren mit dem Hund in der Nähe und wir haben es am Sonntag Mittag probiert. Sehr nettes Ambiente mit vielen kleinen Nischen, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Genug Parkplätze. Kegelbahn. Extrem freundliche junge Bedienung, die ‚gut bürgerliche Küche‘ schmeckt sehr gut, die Details stimmen, und die Preisen sind sehr moderat. Leider habe ich kein Bild von der Waffel gemacht aber das war auch prima. Für Hunde gibt es Wasser und sogar Kroketten. Wir sind wählerisch und waren trotzdem ganz begeistert 😀 Hut ab !

Wir waren gestern zum ersten Mal zu Besuch in der Preyersmühle. Angenehm aufgefallen ist uns das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal auch oder vielleicht gerade wegen eines Rollstuhls, den wir mit dabei hatten. Die Speisenauswahl ist erfreulich anders als bei den meisten Restaurants im Umfeld. Geschmeckt hat es uns. Die Preise für die jetzige Zeit überraschend günstig. Der optische Eindruck des Restaurants war jedoch enttäuschend. Hier war vorher ein „Jugoslawe“ heimisch. Der obligatorische Fischteich im Eingangsbereich mit Goldfischen, weiss gekalkte Ziegelstein-Rundbögen im ganzen Raum. Das Mobiliar in Eiche Rustikal, die klassischen Bänke mit halbrunden Rückenlehnen. All dies auszutauschen, ist sicher finanziell sehr aufwändig, die Ausstattung sollte aber doch Zug um Zug entkernt und gegen ein der Gegend angepasstes Design ausgetauscht werden. Das wäre dann sicher stimmig zum „Pillekuchen“. Leider ist auch die Lüftung zumindest im Eingangsbereich nur eingeschränkt funktionstüchtig, da hier eine recht unangenehme Feuchtigkeit verbunden mit für ein Restaurant typischen Atmosphäre vorherrscht.

Sehr gut gutes essen top Bedienung und sehr freundliche Chefin

In Vergangenheit war ich ab und zu gerne dort Essen. Diesmal war das Essen war ganz ok, wobei das Schnitzel und Steak heute nicht die beste Fleischqualität hatten und die Pfifferlinge hier und da etwas sandig waren. Was allerdings gar nicht ging, war die Wartezeit von über 1:45 Stunden nach Bestellung für nur 3 Gerichte! Und der Kommentar der Wirtin, als man ihr am Ende als Feedback mitteilte, d. die Wartezeit schon extrem lange war, war wirklich frech: "tja, dann hätten Sie eben früher kommen müssen" (wir waren an einem Donnerstag um 18:45 Uhr im Lokal und hatten vorab reserviert). Scheinbar war spontan eine größere Gruppe kurz vor uns gekommen-ohne Reservierung. Man hätte uns vorwarnen können, d. es länger dauern wird und ggf. ein Getränk aufs Haus anbieten können, um die Zeit zu überbrücken. Was wir in jedem Fall aber erwartet hätten, wäre eine Entschuldigung als Reaktion auf unsere Kritik und nicht einen frechen Spruch! Wir kommen in nächster Zeit leider erst einmal nicht wieder. Wer um 18:45 Uhr in ein Restaurant geht, möchte nicht erst um 20:30 anfangen zu essen!

Schönes Ambiente, gutes Essen, aber kein guter Service (ewige Wartezeit)

Gemütliches Gewölbeambiente und die Küche ist nur zu empfehlen. Was diese junge Köchin leistet hat meinen höchsten Respekt. Wir haben unsere Hochzeit dort gefeiert und wir sowie unsere Gäste waren nicht zum letzten Mal dort.

Habe heute Abend in der Preyersmühle einen Kundenabend veranstaltet. Wir waren 15 Personen, und haben super tolles Essen bekommen. Es war kein Problem das wir alle zeitnah unser Essen bekommen haben. Das Personal super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich plane gerne wieder einen Kundenabend vor Ort.

Das Essen und die Bedienung waren vorzüglich.

Ich war am Sonntag dort Essen. Bedienung war freundlich und die Bestellung rasch bestellt. Mein Kohlrabischnitzel war die Wucht. Hat sehr gut geschmeckt.Die Krönung war aber der Kaiserschmarrn. Super, super lecker. Die Köchin ist einsame Spitze. Wir werden öfters dort hin gehen.

Ausgezeichnete Küche, sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Schon mehrfach dort gewesen - kommen mit Sicherheit auch weiterhin.

Der große Raum richt nicht angenehm. Die Bedienung war freundlich aber nicht sehr aufmerksam. Seit dem Letzten Essen sind die Portionen um einiges geschrumpft.

Absolut in den 70ern hängen geblieben…nicht nur das Interieur, vermutlich auch das Personal sind noch aus der Zeit. 2 vegetarische Gerichte zur Auswahl- minimalistisch. Auch die Fleischgerichte der Anderen sahen nicht appetitlich aus, mit den Tellern wehte ein Hauch Glutamat um den Tisch. Gut bürgerlich wäre zu hoch gegriffen- ich koche besser. Positiv zu bemerken-Guinness vom Fass (warum auch immer), passt nicht dahin-und sehr freundliche Bedienung.
