Delicious coffees, good service, tasty muffins

Dirty place , the woman on the tills was on her phone while serving and she barely looked at me . She came up to my table and complained that i sat and didnt order anything! I guess she didnt notice me when i ordered ! She left when i showed her my drink that was clearly in front of me . Picture atatched of receipt and time / till used .

Coffee in the price/performance ratio ok. Dry, overpriced baked goods. Service a bit inattentive, but friendly.

Wish I'd read the reviews. Sandwich bread tastes like the cheapest toast bread from a supermarket, disgusting. Coffee is autobahn standard. As a Brit I've been excited for months - this was disappointing. Staff look like they'd rather be anywhere else, unfortunately just as unfriendly as you'd expect in Berlin. Why ask if it's for here or takeaway if it's in a takeaway cup either way? Can't believe Pret HQ allows such low standards.

The "freshly brewed" filter coffee was something between lukewarm and cold. There was also a pigeon running around in the restaurant.

I took an overnight trip and arrived early in the morning, so I had breakfast. The store clerk's uncle seemed nice.

We had bowl with chicken, cheese, croutons and pine nuts. Unfortunately not recommended at all. The whole thing consists of 80% lamb's lettuce with 10 croutons, 3 pieces of cheese, mashed, tasteless chicken and 5 pine nuts. The salad dressing just tastes like vinegar. It's really outrageous to charge 9.50 euros for this. Once and never again!!!

Who leaves review for Pret, which is everywhere. That's me. Chocolate croissant in the morning was nice and warm and heavenly.

I ordered from too good to go and the people there were really the worst that I could ever see, Really felt the team was racist.

A very tasty and fresh club sandwich and a lady who smiled behind the cash register, what more could you want at the train station.

Today, I just wanted to buy a banana and a porridge, all ready made and good to go. But then, despite two workers, I could not even get to the cash desk. The workers were just too slow and incompetent. The one operating the cash desk took too much time and was even waving with his arms out of self-induced boredom. The other guy was making coffee but created confusion by giving away a latte without actual coffee in it. I had 10 min before my train, but this level of incompetence in such a straightforward job just kills it and the business. After 7 min waiting in a line of 3 customers before me, I just left the goods and ran to my train. These workers should just not work in a train station but in a more laid-back coffee shop in Kreuzberg where people have oceans of time.

You can save yourself Matcha here, it cannot be identified by color or taste. Iced latte tasted burnt

I had Bircher muesli. Freshly prepared that day. No additives. With grated apple in the muesli and blueberries/pomegranate as a topping. The grated apple strips tasted really fresh and not seasoned. Overall I thought it tasted really good. Sure, it was expensive (€5.3) and really just a snack. Otherwise I would complain about that. But the quality was right and I think that’s important. I also think it's great that the store's concept is that whatever food is left over is donated. Top!

The wrap was very fresh and tasty. And the best thing is that the coffee is organic. Highly recommended.

Today tomorrow we bought 7 courasssant and 1 pain au raisin from here then we saw that there is only 6 croissants and 1 pain au raisin. Then we get back the worker was speaking rude and said that they will not give us 1 croissant they deceive people so I don't suggest anyone to go there.

Probably the worst matcha latte I’ve ever had. There was hardly any matcha in it, just mostly oat milk and not even a good one at that. It tasted and looked completely watered down. That was 5 bucks straight down the drain.

The service is super friendly. That's what the star is for. But organic coffee and organic food is only sold in disposable containers. In times of climate emergency, the schizophrenia of highly scaled businesses that are designed to make money and pretend to be green is evident here, even though underneath it stinks of plastic waste and trash. May the business owners break down with their Tesla on a country road in Brandenburg during a storm surge at night because there is no electricity.

Sandwiches are way too salty!! Price is very high for what it is… i love the chain in UK, but something is off here

11/23/24 I wanted to have normal coffee, then the staff looked at me like a wonder of the world, what does he want? Me again, a normal German coffee with milk please. Then after what feels like 3 minutes the statement, there is no more (filter coffee) at 8 p.m. I'm sorry, what ? Then I had an Americano coffee. Totally overpriced and the staff, especially the lady, was very unfriendly and threw the change on the counter. She didn't even smile, say thank you or say goodbye. I'll never go there again.

Food is rather pricey. Staff often don’t speak German at all, and now they ask for a tip when paying by card. For what?! I get pre-packaged food from the fridge and walk to the checkout. A tip for using the cash register? That‘s an insulting joke.

Apart from the fact that the quality and selection of food is in no way close to the original in London, the service here is a disgrace. It has now happened to me for the second time in a row that the coffee I ordered took forever. The three men behind the counter are busy making funny jokes and preparing the ordered hot drinks in a completely chaotic manner and without any system. In a place like a train station it's simply not possible for me to wait almost 10 minutes for a carelessly prepared and completely overpriced cappuccino and three people who came after me have already gotten their coffee. In the end you will be yelled at. Sorry, but never again.

So now here too the request to tip when paying by card.....for what? For scanning and for allowing me to pay and then if you don't tick a tip, the friendliness is immediately over. If it costs extra now, I'll go somewhere else. It's not that great.

A while ago I bought two BLT. I thought it was quite expensive and at work I was extremely disappointed and shocked. I know the BLT from England...but what was on it, or rather "not" on it, was the topping. At the intersection of the sandwich a very thin slice of bacon, half a piece of tomato and then all the way to the back of the sandwich just lettuce lettuce lettuce. Plus, there's not even butter on the bread. 6 euros for that is more than cheeky. Never again. For 12 euros I make a huge mountain of BLT for my colleagues.

Its been my fav place for years, but this morning ive noticed a mouse 🐁 that was peacefully enjoying her croissant and the cashier only shushed her and said go away... Seems that the mouse just lives there and hides behind the cash machine.

Extremely rude staff in the evening...the Indian-looking woman in particular was very rude and didn't seem to enjoy her job. All employees only speak English or very broken German. I felt very uncomfortable in the store because the lady at the checkout was extremely annoyed and rude. The prices were also completely overpriced.

The food was very good but the cashier seems lost and she forgot to put out cookies in the bag. So we paid 6 euros for two cookies we couldn't eat

One star is already too many. We just wanted to have a coffee outside in peace, unfortunately we were harassed and insulted by homeless people (I don't want to repeat the words from World War II and homophobic insults) and this person's behavior was also very unpleasant (spitting, not smoking cigarettes) We informed the person responsible who unfortunately did nothing. When the homeless man went into the store and harassed people, he was able to exercise his house rights and he sent him back out to us. WHY are guests inside treated better than those outside??????????

The Arab at the counter is “very” too proud that he can speak German.

I love the quality of their food, it is mostly healthy, lots of veggies, salads, nuts and herbs. They could add more spices and/or sauce though, to make it even tastier. Unfortunately they have not too many vegetarian options. Today I bought a sandwich for breakfast, a wrap, a bowl and a cheesecake, crisps, tea and a chai latte. Now sitting on the train with no cutlery, looks like they just forgot about it. How will I eat my cheesecake and my bowl? I have no idea. Probably a 30 minute walk to the train's restaurant which I wanted to avoid by buying so much food in the first place. The service was good, otherwise. Friendly, professional and fast. P.S.: The oatmilk chai latte had an artificial aftertaste, a bit like sweetener maybe? Cannot recommend it.

Not a single Vegan sandwich option. There are probably around 20 different sandwiches available. And not a single one is vegan. ¿? ¿? Why is that?

At €15.30 it was probably the most expensive snack of my life.

This location is always crazy busy because it is in the main train station of Berlin. having said that it is an easy place to grab food for your train ride or a quick coffee not very comfortable to sit inside

Good coffee machines, but it feels like only trainees are working. Lack of professional support. The concept is interesting, but the atmosphere is lacking.

Very good coffee! I really like the Americano! Sandwiches and cereals always fresh and delicious. Service ALWAYS very friendly. Packaging very environmentally conscious! Good place at the lively main station!

If the manager sees this, please teach your staff the difference between cafe crema and latte macchiato :) i ordered a latte macchiato and got very watery americano with a lil foam on top, i asked them to do it again and they made the same thing 😅

Claim that the transaction failed so you pay again. If you then look at your internet banking, it has been debited twice. According to the manager the money would really come back, otherwise I could come back the next day... As a Tourist (?)... Really strange story and now I paid too much. This probably happens more often! Check your banking app and don't pay twice!

Poor quality of the food, bad service, and the place was very dirty. Is very far from the prets from London or Paris

Healthier than German food. Just don’t order the miso soup. It’s made in front of you form hot water mixed with some liquid that comes out of a plastic, looks artificial and not so healthy

Delicious cinnamon roll, coffee ok, unfortunately in a paper cup. Handy if you have to wait at the train station, unfortunately the tables aren't wiped down regularly so it gets a bit dirty.

A lot of packaging waste, the espresso is also consumed indoors Paper cups are served, apparently there are no espresso cups, it's a shame it tastes like cardboard!

We have completely removed vegan sandwiches from the range. Absolutely incomprehensible to me. At Berlin Central Station there is hardly any vegan offerings and the vegan sandwiches at Pret a Manger were always the first to sell out. I'm really angry.

Service not friendly - no comparison to the Pret experience in London! Sandwiches lacklustre, better alternatives exist within the station. Pointed put to staff some expired yoghurt, they were seriously trying to explain to me that they saw no need for Action. I sent a Feedback Note via the pret website and then never heard back from Pret. A shame - I loved this Chain in the UK. But the Berlin Edition cannot compete

I had the most horrible service experience here this afternoon. I initially stood in line with my suitcase for 15 minutes (only a few people in front of me) because 1 (!) card reader wasn't working - there are 6 (!) readers there, but they tried on one for minutes, and without even a hint of it Hurry - (this is the main train station in the capital - people have to get their trains here...!) When I finally got to it, they said that the brioche advertised on the displays was out of stock. I asked why they were still advertising it and not turning off the advertising, I would have waited in line for 15 minutes for nothing. The employee with the name tag “Zeijko” interpreted this comment as “disrespectful” and told me that I should leave the store, that he wouldn’t sell me anything anymore, that he was the manager here and that he didn’t need my money. - I don't know what kind of mental derangement he must be suffering from to respond this way to a legitimate criticism in a service situation, but it was certainly the last time I tried to buy something there. I commute from Berlin to Hamburg every week and have always put up with slowness and rude unprofessionalism, pigeons, dirt, overpriced baguettes and bad matcha lattes in this Pret branch, but that really doesn't have to be the case. There are also alternatives. My valuable time and patience are a waste of time.

Über Lieferando bestellt und nach fast 30 Minuten kam erst die Meldung, dass es storniert wird. Schade, ich wollte den Laden mal ausprobieren und habe gleich so eine negative Erfahrung gesammelt.

Preise sind auf Bahnhofsniveau. Dafür fand ich mein Club Sandwich komplett geschmacksneutral. Das geht definitiv um Welten besser, fand ich sehr schade. Die Zimt Schnecke war okay. Service halt typische schnelle Abfertigung, was am Bahnhof nunmal so ist.

Edit, November 2022: Sadly, there are menu changes and price increases. My favoured items are no longer offered: no Miso soup, the egg sandwich has been done up, spoilt with additions and a hefty increase in price. Similar things have happened at the Heathrow airside locations which I visited recently, I don't go to Prêt so often now. Never for the coffee! 😟Revised review: lose a star. The service has lost the keen edge of a newly-opened place and is a bit sloppy. Also last time I was there I was blasted by nasty noises from the loudspeakers. My wife was served a lukewarm, insipid coffee. I enjoyed my usual sandwich and miso just as much as in London, and I'm very glad that Prêt is in Berlin. Just stay away from the coffee, there's much better nearby. At last! Prêt arrives in Berlin! Long overdue. Good, fresh food at reasonable prices. When I walk into a Prêt, I usually pick up an egg sandwich and order a miso soup - and I could here, too, even though the miso was nowhere that I could see on the posted menus (it’s there now). Smiling service (and that is rare in Berlin, sorry to say) and a positive buzz about the place. A good lunch for under €5. I shall be a regular. Edit, November 2023: I no longer come here; the prices have risen disproportionately, much more than the competition. Coffee? Costa. Sandwich? Le Crobag are now my choices.

der kaffee ist leider nicht so toll. und dann leider auch nur im pappbecher - auch inhouse. und ganz schrecklich - tauben im lokal - und das personal kümmert es nicht . . . :(

They claim to have reusable recup-cups and show one of them at the counter. However, they told us they actually never have them and didn’t explain why.

Habe mich sehr gefreut, als ich online gesehen habe, dass hier die wiederverwendbaren Becher von Vytal angeboten werden. Leider ist das Personal überhaupt nicht mit dem Konzept vertraut. Als ich gewartet habe, ging es auch einer anderen Person so. Es bedarf wohl einer Schulung der Mitarbeitenden. Auch könnte die Option eines wiederverwendbaren Becher-Systems besser gekennzeichnet werden. Eindeutig Verbesserungsbedarf! Vor allem da Vytal echt ein super System ist!

gerne geniesse ich guten Kaffee, leider setzt die Franchise Kette auf Vollautomatenkaffee ohne Barista, welcher mir leider nicht schmeckte. Auch ist mir das Essen in zu viel Verpackung eingewickelt. Vielleicht stellen sie sich für Deutschland ja noch um.

Vollkommen überteuert. Dem Personal sieht man an das sie überlastet sind. Zu meinem Zeitpunkt war ein dicklicher Inder der anscheinend der Chef ist im Laden herablassend zu den Mitarbeitern. Sowas geht gar nicht.

Hallo Martin, ja, der Kaffee und auch Espresso aus dem Pappbecher ist grauenhaft. Habe es 2xversucht. Liegt m.E. am chemisch behandelten Becher. Essen soweit gut, wie man es nicht unbedingt mit dem ebenfalls grauenhaften Holzlöffel essen muss. Umweltschutz: JA! Aber nicht um den Preis des Wegwerfens des Essens.

Great coffee, AMAZING Chocolate Croissant and so affordable too!! Tried their iced coffee with coconut milk (a little extra milk) and it was perfect! Very helpful staff too. :)

Gute Location, wenn man noch auf seinen Zug warten muss, um sich etwas Zeit zu vertreiben. Ein paar Grünpflanzen würden bestimmt nicht schaden. Ansonsten top!

Die Baguettes sind wirklich gut, ich finde es aber sehr enttäuschend, dass morgens um 8 Uhr (2 Stunden nach Öffnung) das gesamte vegane Sortiment entweder noch nicht aufgefüllt oder ausnahmslos nicht nachgefüllt ist. Als Person, die aufgrund von Unverträglichkeiten auf die veganen Sandwiches angewiesen ist, ist das sehr frustrierend. Das ist jetzt häufiger vorgekommen.

Guter Kaffe und sehr nette Mitarbeiter.

Etwas teurer als andere Angebote am Bahnhof, aber froh dass es endlich Pret A Manger auch in Deutschland gibt.

Gute Alternative zum viel zu teuren Starbucks, dazu sind die Produkte zum größten Teil Bio. Matcha Tea mit Hafer hat lecker geschmeckt 😌😊

Ich hatte ein Baguette mit Artischocken und Oliven, es kostete über 6 Euro und es war weniger Belag drauf als bei einem Standart Bäcker. Quasi war das Brot nur zu 25% belegt. Komplett trocken. Also viel zu teuer für das gebotene magere minder Baguette. Service war quasi nicht vorhanden, kein hallo, es wurde nur der Preis genannt, das Geld wurde genommen und ohne tschüss zu sagen musste ich mit dem trockenen Baguette von dannen ziehen.

Es la segunda vez que vengo, la primera vez el café era excelente, esta segunda vez lamento decir que es bueno pero nada de lo que presumir, la temperatura del café era tibia, la verdad es que no disfruté de la experiencia como me habría gustado. El precio del café con leche está por encima de los cuatro euros, me parece demasiado por la calidad obtenida. Para comer pedí dos croissants, nada especial, estaban bien, el resto de bollería y comida preparada es muy de fábrica. Pienso que ya que se llama a sí mismo organic, debería tener un menú más sano. Desde mi punto de vistayo la vería como una cafetería de paso, para tomarte un café rápido o para llevar.

Wenn ich in Berlin bin, frühstücke ich gerne ich im Prêt à Manger im Hauptbahnhof. Von dort aus erreicht man schnell das Gleis. Die Speisen sind frisch, lecker und es gibt viel Vegetarisches und Veganes zur Auswahl.

Und wieder...ist noch geöffnet, aber einen toastie tosten, geht nicht. War einen zweiten Versuch wert, kann man aber auch lassen. Warum bietet man so was dann an ?

Mein Lieblingskaffee im Hbf. Bester Kaffee! Essen recht teuer. Dirty chai ist zu empfehlen. Wenige Sitzplätze. Am besten auf Englisch bestellen. Deutsch geht natürlich auch.

Es ist absolut unmöglich das Geschäft zu finden. Mehrfach gesucht am Hbf und keiner kennt es. Können Sie mir sagen, wo genau sich das Geschäft befindet. Danke

Very good food. The sandwiches are excellent. It’s located on the ground floor of the main station (Hauptbahnof) also accessible from outside in front of the Berlin Cube. Also perfect for takeaway. Open on Sunday

Nice store and appealing looking food selections. However, the tuna sandwich and Salmon salad are rather missing any sense of flavour, really a shame.

Wollte jetzt hier zum 2. Mal innerhalb einer Woche einen americano trinken. 2 mal kam die Aussage, geht nicht Maschine wird gereinigt. Wieso reinigt man mitten in der Mittagszeit die Maschine? Ich habe eher das Gefühl man hat hier keine Lust und verkauft lieber Filterkaffee weil das schneller geht und keine Arbeit macht. Das erklärt auch das hier gerne mal der Sandwichgril aus ist . Ihr solltet nochmal nach Frankreich kucken wie das wirklich funktioniert. Die Filiale in Berlin ist mega schlecht.

Ich habe dummerweise für viel Geld einen Kaffee Americano bestellt und den mit Abstand schlechtesten Kaffee ever bekommen. Nie wieder einen Kaffee bei Pret a Manger im Berliner Hauptbahnhof, dem das Leben ist zu kurz für schlechten Kaffee☝️ Sorry für die schlechte Bewertung, aber ich habe den Kaffee nicht zu verantworten🤷

Dieser Laden hat nicht Mal einen Stern verdient..wenn ich könnte, würde ich hier minus 5 Sterne abgeben !!! Zum einen war Kaffee der ekligste, den ich je getrunken habe (Latte machiato mit Hafermilch und Cappuccino). Total sauer, eine richtige Plörre! Und dafür dann 4,20€ (pro Getränk )verlangen ist eine wirklich Unverschämt!! Darüberhinaus war der Service eine einzige Katastrophe! Der Mann, der uns bediente, hat uns nicht einmal direkt angeschaut. Hat super leise geredet und nicht auf unsere Fragen oder bitten geantwortet. Und das alles in Berlin ?? Am Hbf?? Keine Worte !!

Schade eigentlich, das Konzept ist doch eigentlich gut . Aber ich hatte jetzt schon drei mal einen tostie / Sandwich kaufen wollen , aber der Grill war aus . Ist das dann noch ein tostie? Bei der "Essen retten" App gab es nur den knappen Hinweis daß Budget nicht zu überschreiten. Ich hätte auch gerne drauf gezahlt, aber der Service lässt echt zu wünschen übrig . Warum macht man bei solchen Aktionen mit , wenn's gar nicht gewollt ist . Da ist der ein oder andere laden kundenfreundlicher....

Die Auswahl ist zwar nicht riesig, aber die angebotenen veganen Sachen sind echt lecker. Besonders gut fanden wir den veganen Schoko Cookie mit flüssigem Schokokern.

Das Konzept nennt sich organic and natural, es wird aber alles nur in Plastik und Pappbechern angeboten selbst wenn man vor Ort verzehrt. Das ist lächerlich und eine Verschwendung hoch 10 und hat offensichtlich null mit Natural und Organic zu tun.

Einwegteller, Einwegtasse, Einweglöffel, Plastikflasche Wasser (für 3,10€!), in Folie verschweißte, mittelalte Speisen im Selbstbedienungsregal. Und auf den Schirmen draußen steht was von „organic coffee“ und „natural food“. Natürlich Quatsch, aber was suggeriert werden soll ist genau das Gegenteil von dem, was man erwarten würde. Und alles zu ziemlich unverschämten Preisen. Dieses Management ist ein Teil unseres Problems, denn es hat NICHTS verstanden. Der Trickbetrüger draußen vorm Bahnhof hat mehr Achtung verdient weil er die Menschen verscheisstert ohne Müll zu produzieren. „Pret à Manger“…der McDonalds für die ewig gestrigen staatsalimentierten Aktentaschenträger à la Merz & Co. Ein Armutszeugnis für die Manager, die zu beschränkt sind, ein nachhaltiges, faires Konzept zu entwickeln um damit Geld zu verdienen. Ich stand hier das letzte mal an der Kasse. Versprochen.

30 Minuten nach Öffnung liegt noch kein einziges belegtes Baguette im Kühlregal, nur ein paar Sandwiches und Bowls. 3/4 des Regals sind leer. Beim letzten Mal standen am späten Nachmittag nur noch drei Bowls herum. Scheinbar nicht möglich, hier das gewünschte Produkt verlässlich zu bekommen.

I loved my local pret in UK and was looking forward to visiting this one in Berlin. I am truly disgusted to find one!!! vegan sandwich among such extensive menu. Are you in 1990s still Berlin Pret? Berlin has a vegan street and many vegan restaurants. What is wrong with you?

Grabbed a coffee from here while in Berlin. Was the best coffee I've had since being in Germany. Had coffee from there the second day as well so it wasn't a fluke. Their food is well priced and tasty too, especially like the vegan chocolate chip cookie. Staff are friendly and they all seem to enjoy working with each other as they are casual and relaxed.

Endlich Vegane Optionen am Hauptbahnhof - 9mon später Ich bin enttäuscht dass es nur ein Veganes Sandwich gibt. Es war mal mehr Angebot vorhanden und im Vergleich zu anderen Hauptstädten, echt keine gute Zusammenstellung des Produktes. Da geht mehr!

Die Sandwiches sind ordentlich, der Kaffee leider grauenhaft. Konnte man nur wegschütten Personal war freundlich.

Die Produkte schmecken ganz gut. Was meiner Meinung nach fehlt, ist die Raffinesse bei den Speisen. Die Filialen im Ausland stellen sich hier besser auf. Bessere Atmosphäre, bessere Auswahl, besserer Geschmack. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten nicht unfreundlich, aber etwas passiv, wenig engagiert.

An oasis of quality in a desert of junk food. Great sandwiches, excellent tea and coffee. Fun staff. Always my comfort zone when I'm at the station waiting for a connecting train.

Wurde belächelt, weil ich einen Matcha Latte mit Mandelmilch bestellt habe. Ich verstehe nicht was daran so witzig war. Danach war der noch kalt. Leider überhaupt nicht der Standard den man in UK kennt.
