Basically good restaurant but the staff was not really interested

Have been there several times, mostly in the evenings on weekends. Food was difficult to prepare (our salad with strips of steak had so much basil dressing put on it by the chef that it was unfortunately inedible because it was way too sour, just add dressing separately, then the guest can decide for themselves, thank you), quality is fine! Great service, ambience appropriate for the district, and the parties are fun, good atmosphere, something for everyone when it comes to music! Everything in one...it works, it's worth it!!👍

Pirates Berlin is an atmospheric place with really delicious drinks. The mango and raspberry mojito is a hit - refreshing, perfectly balanced. Aperol also at a high level. Prices are OK for Berlin - drinks around €11, Aperol around €9. An additional plus for friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere - it's definitely worth a visit!

We ordered from a red-haired waitress who immediately came across as very unfriendly to me. When my drink came, it was poured over my shirt and jeans by a different waitress. She apologized and brought me a new drink and lots of napkins. The red-haired waitress who took our order took these napkins away from me because, according to her, I didn't need them. She wasn't interested in the fact that the other waitress poured an alcoholic drink on me and that's why the napkins were left there. She generally gave the impression that she had something going on...she was constantly talking to herself and kept looking at me. I also don't understand why it bothered her so much that we had napkins lying around? Of course I didn't tip for such disgusting service!! And actually the newly brought drink should have been paid to me on the house. I now have the cleaning costs.

Nice place, beer was good, coke bad. Baby back ribs way too salty, fries cold. Luckily we did get new fries. Snitzel was okay. Chicken breast, the meat was good, but the cheese on top was dirty.

The Pirates is always worth a visit. I've been here several times to finish off work or to celebrate on the weekend and always had a great evening!! This week I was here again with friends after work and we sat on the terrace and were able to enjoy the view of the Spree despite the cool weather thanks to the patio heater and tarpaulin. In summer the terrace is really a dream. I also really enjoyed the Cheesy Baby burger & the new Holy Chicken Alfredo pizza was really good too. Thank you for the nice service!! This is a great place to sink away at the end of the day :)

Only had a drink. At a quiet time.

That used to be a very nice shop. Then: after 00:00 a.m. €30 entry fee for three people is paid. The security couldn't have been more arrogant!!! Waited at the table for 30 minutes without being served. We even looked for staff and ordered drinks! Paid another €50! To then be told that you would like to close slowly!!! You find the error...🤷🏽‍♂️ We used to love being here so much

The location is great and surely even better in the evening or outside with summer weather. The service was good the draft beer was fresh. I did not like the ordered beef gulasch. Tasted like re-heated.

We left without trying what we ordered because I started talking to a waiter and he left me with the word in my mouth looking at me with a disgusted face. After a while he called my companion, he looked at her and turned his face away. They attended first to all those who had arrived after us. We were leaving and no one stopped us. They don't care how hungry their customers are or the disastrous treatment they receive.

Great shop, great staff, a wonderful location in summer to sit outside and enjoy the weather. In winter the terrace is covered and warm. There's a party on Fridays and Saturdays from 9-10 p.m., so there's something for everyone. The events are highly recommended, fun and a good mood are a must.

Our girls had to go to the toilet, so we spontaneously came here on a Friday afternoon. We were then seated, and when that happens you naturally feel obligated to order something. We sat right next to a heater that was set too warm. So we each ordered an Alster. The stupid thing is that there is only 0.5l to choose from. And then there is only Astra 🤢 which tastes like a stick on the head. The audience seemed rather snobby and aloof. The music or playlist only made things worse. Creepy selection. The store itself looks quite attractive, but everything around it was extremely ugly. We then politely drank half of our drink and left in no time.

Nice people at the entrance, attentive staff, good music, and a good atmosphere. We had a table reservation, and it worked out great.

As a local visitor, I stumbled upon the place by chance. The party cellar was way too hot. Grown men were dancing to German pop music and rubbing their nipples on a Saturday night. No, that's not my thing.

Women in groups get more right than a man who was already on the stage and wants to “defend” this place, but women still get more right to claim this place themselves. Very terrible store

Pleasant atmosphere, everything friendly

The Pirates offers a good party atmosphere with varied music on two floors: hits are played upstairs, party hits and charts downstairs - there is something for every taste. The drinks are good and reasonably priced for the area. Unfortunately there are a few negative points. The security isn't exactly the friendliest, and one person in particular stood out negatively. The cloakroom regulations are also a bit annoying - even if two things fit on one hanger, you have to pay twice. This could be solved in a more customer-friendly way. I also noticed that a bad review from a friend appeared to have been deleted, which leaves a somewhat questionable impression. Apart from that, the crowd is pleasantly mixed, so you can definitely have a good evening here. With a little nicer staff and more transparency in reviews the experience would be even better!

Sit on the sun terrace on the Spree, eat and drink deliciously and have a view of the Oberbaum Bridge... What more could you want

Today we had a relaxed time with german beer at Pirates. Despite the loud music and the cold wind.The waiter umut was able to create a pleasant atmosphere and he knew what we wanted.

Went for lunch with my friends yesterday. Enjoyed the beautiful view with a strong aperol and beer. The currywurst was great, as was our tanned waiter Umut.

I was initially confused by the mayonnaise. I then found out from a friendly young waiter that there was no need to worry as it can easily withstand the summer temperatures for a few weeks.🤗 Unfortunately I can't rate the food because apart from the mayo I only had an orange juice🤤

We went to the bachelorette party on March 7th. We really liked the music. There was also the promised red carpet with gentlemen photo shoot. Because we were there before 10 p.m., we were lucky and got something from the champagne reception, 5 minutes later there was no more champagne (it felt like only 3 bottles were opened). We didn't notice anything about the several exclusive strip shows. In the girls' lounge with the promised XXL strip shows, there was an 8-minute show until 11:30 p.m., and another was added later. There were far too few toilets for the crowd and you had to queue forever. Because it was just too crowded and too warm for us and there was no place to dance, we left early.

We went there to celebrate in the evening. The service, especially at the beginning at the entrance, was very rude and there was not the champagne reception described. The two floors for dancing were great. On the one hand it was a cool layout and on the other hand the music was really good. They could have a few more toilets.

Very tasty food, staff was very friendly. No long waiting times. In the summer you can sit outside by the water, but in the cold months there are patio heaters available and you can sit in a closed tent. That was a bit fresh, otherwise everything was great.

Booked a table for the Pirates Restaurant easily [online]. Arrived with the nearby S-Bahn. In the entrance area [and also inside] security. Polite, consistent and present, as it should be. Service staff friendly, quick in both the restaurant and bar area. Food was delicious [pizza salami and chicken on puree, tomato sauce with mozzarella gratin). The neighboring table had burgers, which also looked quite appetizing. We then stayed straight afterwards for dancing. Seats are comfortable, music, atmosphere and the guests are great. There are even more dance floors there. Prices are ok for us, there is something for it. Just the view of the water. We'll be back ;).

Food and service was okay. However when they moved to club mode some asocial women-beating people were in the club. Thankfully the security removed this person, but let him in 10 minutes later. This person was very aggressive and turned against one of my friends and my girlfriend… I can’t understand why people like this get back into the club. However we left the club right afterwards! Sad that people like this seem to be more important than ordinary people…

On Fridays only pop music - although Saturday is specially dedicated to pop songs... it used to be better, it's a shame... food has become very expensive, pizza is 18.90... phew... well, I used to go to Pirates a lot... today it's luxury and then some Schlager must make you fall over... what a shame!! Service great as always!!!

What else can I say about that? It was just a great evening. Everything was really great. Whether with friends or colleagues, you can enjoy it from start to finish. Easy to reach, everything nearby - tram, S-Bahn, bus. Culture is also just around the corner - East Side Gallery. If you feel like shopping - also nearby. So go there, look, enjoy, have fun.

Hit party last night – full of anticipation and with a wish list in mind. The DJ? Unfortunately not a wish fairy, more of a bouncer for the playlist. My song requests? Rejected. His facial expression? “Don’t ask me again!” Too bad. Waiters and bar staff GREAT!!!

One of our favourite spots in Berlin . Great atmosphere , great food (the ribs were very tender) , great service . And great view of the River. Highly recommend.

A great restaurant to eat with family or friends. Food tastes very good and the staff is very friendly. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the restaurant turns into a perfect party club where you can have a great party. The location is great, the drink prices are not overpriced. If you've had too much to drink and forgot your jacket, don't worry, nothing gets lost in Pirates :). I can recommend Pirates 100%.

Food and offerings before the “party” Okay. Disco unfortunately mediocre. 2 floors available with different music. Unfortunately no good DJs. The transitions left us cold every time. Drinks okay, expensive like everywhere else. There are special nights. (hits etc.) Definitely not the best place to go in Berlin for partying. There are plenty of alternatives in the area. Addendum after the second visit; DJ Defjam really underground. 130BPM music without variety. Bad mix, bass way too loud that you can't hear anything else.

I like the location. Been there several times over the last 10 years (probably longer). At the beginning through Groupon and then more often. The food is very good. The staff was always friendly. Not the cheapest in terms of price, but the concept fits.

The parties are great. The audience was mixed, in a good mood and friendly. However, there is one very big drawback: The party ends at 4 o'clock. That's ok.....However, the bouncers come on time. They are extremely unfriendly, snippy and will literally throw you out.

Conclusion: Reservation recommended, be careful of the cocktails (super good), worth a visit! I have been here several times and enjoyed the warm atmosphere. Definitely not a location for a quiet evening beer as there is always something going on here. Lots of guests, good music. .. but let's start at the beginning. The nice and pretty receptionist Emma takes you to a free seat, of course always the best ;) The waiters, whether Malte, Tarik or the others, are always present and deliver professionally and cleanly. They are also always available with recommendations. The guys behind the bar, Lucas and Friedrich, really have fun and make very tasty cocktails. The food is good, reasonably priced and served quickly. Everything runs smoothly here under the watchful eye of manager Kojo. Here everyone from the waiter to the manager is there for you and always available for small talk. All in all, everyone here is having fun and being cool :)

Were there on a Saturday evening. Very full, we were told by phone that we didn't need a reservation, at the entrance we had to pay 24 euros and were moved from our first place... We waited 20 minutes for 1 drink. Some of the staff were very friendly, some were very unfriendly. Location is chic except for the outdoor tent. Prices are not that clear (17€ for 1x burger, 1x fries and a tablespoon of sauerkraut) would still come back to expand my experience.

We had previously reserved a table for 11 p.m. and also an XXL place setting Already at the door we were greeted in a more than unfriendly manner and we felt like rejecting us. But apparently the quota of women was right and we were kindly allowed to enter the restaurant. The food was very good. Everything was good except one thing. waiters were coming to our table every 5 minute (while we were eating our food) and asking do you wanna order more? do you need new drink? and we still had food in our plate and were eating but they were asking for taking the dishes. we were not there for a long time or we were not eating slowly but they were in rush. That was very annoying.

If you want to eat something to go with a delicious cocktail after work in a nice rustic atmosphere, this is the right place for you. If you are then served by the very attentive and personable Tarik, you can really feel at home there. We'd love to come back :-))

You got two poker chips for food, but there was nothing more. It's a shame since it was included in the price of €99.

This is the third time I've been to Pirates and I have to say it is and remains one of my favorite locations in Berlin. Always friendly staff, food is great. Price is okay. And the drinks are also very varied. Yes, ok, some cocktails are not served in the usual glasses, but hey...there's more to it😉 As far as the party nights are concerned, I can only say, great. The people are really relaxed. So far I have met absolutely relaxed people every time. Everyone celebrates together and no one makes you look like the top dog or anything like that. It was definitely not the last time I was there. Keep it up dear Pirates team 🤗

We were there for the New Year's Eve party. Music was great as was the staff. Food and drinks bad!!! We had to go upstairs to the cloakroom and unfortunately everything was very slow and cramped. Over the escape stairs, windy cold outside, back down... We won't go there again on New Year's Eve! Too bad...

So Pirates is actually very good. Nice people and colorful music. The staff is also nice and friendly. We were there for New Year's Eve yesterday. The party itself was good and fun. But what didn't work at all was eating. We were there for the New Year's Eve party 2 years ago. There was a delicious buffet and people grilled outside until they stopped. We expected that this year too. There was nothing else online. In the end, you got 2 chips with which you could then get 2 finger foods. At first I thought it was a joke. I asked, probably the manager, if there was an opportunity to buy chips. I was really hungry. The answer was ice cold, NO not an option. So that was crazy. So I wasn't really full the whole evening. I mean, let's be honest, you also look forward to eating on New Year's Eve. As I said, the party was good. But for the money... NOOOOO not again.

New Year's Eve at Pirates takes a lot of getting used to. It is extremely full, with little to no seating and an estimated 500 guests. The club was lovingly decorated with lots of red balloons 🎈🎈, but that was all. We were hoping for a nice New Year's Eve dance party and were bitterly disappointed. The music was predominantly today's disco sound for young people and equally on all 3 dance levels. Unfortunately, there wasn't much danceable and atmospheric New Year's Eve music. You could have at least played hits and the like on a dance level. The food, which was advertised brilliantly, was just fries in a small cardboard box and the meatballs were also a joke in cardboard. For 100 euros per person you can expect more quality in all areas (especially on New Year's Eve). Shortly after midnight the number of guests had shrunk by half...very typical for this event. We won't be going back for New Year's Eve. The Saturdays, on the other hand, with the hit party for dancing are great and still are.

I've been to Pirates several times and always had a lot of fun. The staff is always very friendly and I really like the location (just a great atmosphere). I just think the idea of ​​a club restaurant is great. You can sit there and relax and eat and drink something and then go dancing if you still feel like it. When it comes to the music, I have to say I had some really great evenings there where I couldn't leave the dance floor. Unfortunately, that always depends on the DJ. I'm here every other weekend now because I like it so much. New Year's Eve party Red balloon 2024 at Pirates We had a great evening at Pirates. A great location and a successful evening from start to finish. Everything was very well organized. The music on 3 dance floors was varied. We also found space everywhere to dance or just sit down. The atmosphere was great. You didn't have to wait long in line at the bars and there was a large selection of drinks. We also liked the self-service refrigerators. The snacks were sufficient. Of course, anyone expecting a large buffet might have been disappointed. But that was in the description beforehand and we also wanted to dance a lot and not eat all evening. At midnight there was a pancake. We really enjoyed it and can only recommend the location. The location right on the Spree was also great. We were also able to enjoy the fireworks from the terrace. “Thank you” to all employees for this great event. We'd love to come back.

The food was very tasty but nothing super special. Otherwise, the staff are really nice and the atmosphere is great. After dinner time the tables were cleared away and then the real fun began. It was very crowded but still had enough space and the music was very cool. One floor with hits and one floor with techno.

Maybe dear Pirates you should take a look at your testosterone blonde would like to be a bouncer. Flirt with women at the entrance for a long time and the queue gets longer so that your colleague is already looking. Nomen est omen: On the evening of December 11, 2024, at the back of the tent on the “wall” (tarpaulin). I sat at the corner of the table, there was a patio heater on the end wall, and the backpack was next to it, barely visible from the entrance. In front of it there are two long tables with colleagues. The tables next to us were empty the whole time. Apart from the staff - a lot of different employees with special tasks - no one came that far behind. When I wanted to leave, the backpack was gone. The management staff is very experienced in dealing with such problems: the backpack would be found again if we all left and they could look for it. The “manager” first claimed to have questioned all employees, then to have unlocked and searched all lockers, each in a few minutes. Otherwise it was very loud, the heater radiating from above, the cold from outside below, orange dim light. The portions - apart from the dessert - were very small (e.g. starter soup max. 100 ml, the “half duck” the size of a chicken breast) and everything was overpriced.

We had a lot of fun here, my son was even able to meet his idol “Captain Morgan”, we laughed a lot! Beer was expensive but worth it to us

Everything was fine, except I was looking for the disabled entrance. There was a handrail there, but when I came out there was the fire table right there and it was difficult for me to get down the stairs. Only with help, that was a real shame.

The 1 star goes to the DJ for the hit evening. The music was put together horribly and the transitions were disturbed by repeated overtones from the system. We went curling. The service was very good. Even though the location is so large, you can sit there well due to the good spatial concept.

We are there regularly, the service there is great, especially Sandro.😊 The hit nights are always fun too. Lots of nice people and a good mix of age groups.

A big thank you to the entire Pirates team for an unforgettable evening! We spontaneously decided to hold our Christmas party in this great location - and it was a complete success. In addition to a great location, we were treated to an excellent and particularly delicious Christmas menu. The service was attentive at all times and left nothing to be desired. As a special highlight, we were able to round off the evening with the pre-afterwork party and exuberant dancing. If you order 1/2 duck, then you expect 1/2 duck and not 2 small (fillet) pieces. Taste ok. The salmon was good but cold! The ambience may be good in summer, but not so great in winter! The waitress didn't manage to serve a long table from both sides. So everyone had almost every drink in their hands, as well as the plates.

Everything was perfect, again at any time. Only recommended!

I recently went to the Pirates Club in Berlin and had a great evening! The location is really a highlight - located directly on the Spree, with a great mix of club atmosphere and cozy flair. The music was varied and created a really good atmosphere, so that the dance floor was never empty. The audience was relaxed and in a good mood, which made the party even better. The drinks were also well mixed and the staff was friendly and quick - you didn't have to wait long even at the bar. All in all, a really cool club for an unforgettable evening.
