Pirates Berlin in Berlin

I will never return to this place. The bouncers are absolutely appalling and use violence when escorting people out. These inhuman, unempathetic bouncers call people stupid for asking normal questions. I will never come back here. What goes on there is unfair, unjust; you get yelled at and treated aggressively. What kind of place is it that the bouncer is allowed to touch you after a supposed misunderstanding? Inside, the waiters were very friendly and worked quite quickly; there was hardly any waiting time at the bar.

I had chicken with cheese and tomato sauce. I was missing a side dish, like fries or croquettes. Disappointing for €18.50. The staff was very friendly and the service was great.

We're from Bregenz, Austria, and ended up at this place on a whim. We wanted a table and received impeccable service, even though we were initially told it was fully booked. Enno, the manager, took care of us as if we were old friends. The bar staff is very well-trained and friendly, and the doormen were also very welcoming. A perfect place to party in Berlin! All in all, a fantastic experience!

We celebrated a birthday on a Friday and had reserved a table. The service was incredibly friendly, and the party was perfect. Unfortunately, we lost something that evening, but even that was resolved with excellent service. The item was found, and I was able to collect it. All in all, a wonderful evening – thank you so much!

The food is terrible. It's probably all pre-prepared and then kept warm. The spare ribs were bone dry and overpriced.

Nice and spacious place for a snack or a drink. Great views on a good day. Only downfall - staff remind you to give them a tip. Not really okay and made us feel uncomfortable. If I want to give a tip I will because of the service I have received not because I was asked for it.

We were there in the evening when the club was open and had a nice time, but my God, how unfriendly can bouncers be? Their behavior is downright inhumane. Of course, we weren't personally affected, but the way they treat people and how unfriendly they are is unacceptable. The bouncers will also be the reason why we'll never go back.

I had reserved a table, and although many tables outside were empty the entire time, we weren't allowed to sit outside. I asked twice, but was told no, with the explanation that "everything was reserved." Later, when we went to the cloakroom, the two women there wanted to charge extra for each jacket (but not for a scarf). When we simply refused to hand over our belongings and expressed our (completely neutral) confusion, the two women became loud and very rude. We stayed anyway and stood outside on the terrace, where a staff member politely asked us to go back inside because they wanted to rearrange things... but that we could smoke in the tent from 10:00 PM onwards. So we sat down in the tent, where we were immediately told that smoking wasn't allowed until 10:10 PM. At that point, it was 10:07 PM, and all the other tables around us were smoking. No one was spoken to or warned about it... instead, the employee simply took off when I pointed it out 🤷🏼‍♀️ So we left Pirates because we felt more than unwelcome. We were really angry and disappointed because we've never experienced anything like this at Pirates before. It felt like as soon as we paid, we were no longer welcome. The only positive things were the pizza and the drinks 👍🏼

I hadn't eaten there in a long time, but it was excellent. They had a Christmas menu with duck, and there was also a vegan option. It tasted good. The drinks were okay, and the beer was easy on the stomach, from the north, but that's a matter of taste. The service was great and quick, and they didn't lose track of things. There were numerous security guards, but they were unobtrusive. However, why a €1 charge for every toilet visit? Advance booking is advisable. There was no parking, and if you do find a spot, you have to pay. Not everyone knows their way around the old Narva grounds. On the plus side, there was plenty of public transport. The police were everywhere. In conclusion, it was a lovely evening, and I would recommend it anytime.

The place is nice. I recommend it. It's atmospheric and noisy. Fun. Lots of people. The service is fast. We ordered a 60cm pizza. I really wanted to see what it was like. It tasted good, and the burger was crisp. The portions are large, so we took it home.

For the price of that roast duck, I'll eat somewhere else next time.

I love Pirates! Ad in writing this review, my most recent visit was my third time there and it's absolutely delightful! The food is always top notch, really obsessed with the Honey BBQ ribs, they're wonderful and I keep seeing the words just slip out when I get asked what to order🤭 regardless, usually the atmosphere is amazing as well, this time I was jsut really interestingly surprised by the choice of music playing, very funny in a techno edm way- if that's your vibe though, you'll love a night here! If not, I recommend going for lunch :)

Solid food for larger groups – I can recommend it. They were very quick with our food yesterday. Portions are adequate.

I had the burger. It was tasty. The "fries" were more like potato chips. They weren't really my thing, but anyone who likes that sort of thing won't be disappointed.

A truly fantastic bar with a great atmosphere! The combination of a cozy bar area and dance floor is perfect. I'd especially like to highlight the friendly staff and the excellent music selection. They're even very helpful when it comes to lost items!

We're frequent visitors to Pirates, but today was our first time at the Halloween Brunch! 👻💀🧟‍♀️🤡 There were four adults and three kids (ages 1.5, 4, and 5), and it was absolutely fantastic. They had thought of everything. The service, the food, the location, the decorations, and the activities for the kids were all perfect. We parents have never had such a relaxed brunch. Even the youngest child had fun dancing! 😅 Thank you so much for this wonderful Sunday Halloween brunch; we'd love to come again next year! 🥰🤡👻💀🥰

Hi, we ate there yesterday before our concert. The place was decorated for Halloween. Very nice atmosphere. The food was very good and arrived quickly. You should definitely book in advance. The service was excellent. We'd love to come back again ☺️

I was just there for a small beer. The service was friendly. Unfortunately, they closed at 10 p.m. because there was simply nothing going on. If you need a short break after visiting the Wall, this is the place to be.

The food was really good, and the service was attentive and friendly – ​​we felt well looked after in that respect. Unfortunately, the seating wasn't quite up to par: Our table was a bit off the beaten track, right next to the restroom, which wasn't particularly atmospheric or well-lit. For a reservation, we would have preferred a nicer spot in the main dining room. Nevertheless, the food and service were impressive – with a better table, the visit would have been a complete success.

The visit was good, the service was great, and the food was excellent. We were checking out the East Side Galleries and then stopped here. Definitely recommended.

A restaurant and club rolled into one. I found the food to be average, even bad. I had spare ribs, and they were incredibly tough. It wasn't really possible to have a conversation while eating; the music was way too loud, and it wasn't yet time for dancing.

Great location, stressed-out bouncers and not always objective, nice "receptionist," and the bar staff is also great.

Delicious food and great service

The three of us were there on a Saturday and were absolutely thrilled. We had the Cheesy Baby, a vegan burger, and a sandwich. All the dishes were delicious and the portions were plentiful. The service was very attentive and catered to our every need. Even when our daughter dropped her drink, they did everything they could to quickly dry it. We'd love to come back and it's definitely worth a visit!

We went to Pirates for Oktoberfest brunch today with friends and our baby. ❤️🏴‍☠️ The location is right on the Spree River, which offers a beautiful view from the restaurant's large windows. The buffet was true to the Oktoberfest theme and truly delicious 🤤 The staff, from the chef to the waitress, were super friendly and professional 👌🏻 We're always happy to come back.

Want to eat something in the evening and then party? Both are perfectly possible here. Friendly service and a good menu. Party from 10 p.m. on several floors with good music and a great crowd.

Always good in warm and sunny weather

The food is excellent; my favorite is pizza (raclette, Holly Chicken Alfredo), or the ribs. For a change, I also try the Philly Steak Sandwich. :-)

We had a fantastic company party here. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The buffet was visually and culinary-wise outstanding, and the service was prompt and professional. Many thanks to the entire Pirates team. We'd love to come back.

Reservations were also possible online at short notice (booked 3 hours in advance). We were there on a Saturday afternoon. The service was very attentive, and the food was delicious. Sitting on the terrace with a view of the Spree is simply wonderful! Definitely recommended.

I can always recommend this restaurant. Good food and drinks, great views. There's always a disco on Friday and Saturday nights.

A hammer restaurant, BAR and club. It is located directly on the banks of the Spree and is only a 5 minute walk from the Warschauer Straße train station. Definitely check it out...They have definitely won me over as a future regular with the concept.

The food is mediocre, and the prices are far too high. However, the location and the ample space for large groups are impressive.

Here, you'll be disgustingly turned away if there's one too many men present, even if you've been waiting there for over half an hour....

Cozy restaurant with a view of the Spree

Yes, yes, the Pirates Bar – yes, it makes you feel like you're back in the old Sausalitos days. The cocktails are good, the staff is relaxed, and it's perfect for a relaxed evening by the water. 🍹⚓️ But let's be honest: The dining room smells like last week's limes were simply left out as decoration – not exactly Caribbean, more like "Graduation Aftershow 2005." 😅 Food? I wouldn't risk it. There are better places in Berlin for dinner than a party room with a citrus aftertaste. In short: Great for drinks and a bit of nostalgia, but a bit of a flop for everything else. Berlin has standards – and you have to live up to them, otherwise you'll only get three stars. ✌️

Cool location on the water with a great vibe. But apparently, two-man groups can't get into the party anymore. But the bouncers were still very nice and polite.

Pirates offers a great beer garden atmosphere during the day, then seamlessly transitions into a club atmosphere from 9 p.m. Pirates is located right on the water, which creates a great atmosphere, especially when the weather is nice! The beer garden is spacious with plenty of seating. The service is excellent; all the staff are very friendly and attentive. The food selection is extensive, fairly priced, and very filling. The drinks are delicious, and many cocktails are also available by the pitcher. I highly recommend it, and please always say hello to the lovely manager, Sebi, from Bernd. Sebi welcomes you at the entrance; he's super friendly and just open to everyone!

We ate something first and then wanted to dance. The burger was okay, but the bun was dry and cold. The fries were like chips, tasty, but the portion size was small. The first disappointment was the women's restroom. You had to queue right away; there are apparently only three women's restrooms for the entire restaurant and the dance floor. The cleaning staff tried very hard to keep everything clean, but it was difficult with the number of people using it. The downstairs dance area is small and not air-conditioned. It was unbearable; much too hot and too cramped. For me, it was a one-time visit.

I spontaneously stopped by Pirates 🏴‍☠️ Berlin for a drink. It's beautifully decorated and modern with a hip style, right on the Spree River. The staff is friendly and attentive – I'd love to go back.

Good drinks, awesome view, cool staff. But a wasp came to kill itself in my third, half full pint, and they didn't change it. The "manager" told me that was the bar's politic. I find that ridiculous.

Disappointing and discriminatory Rating: ⭐ We wanted to visit Pirates Berlin around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday. The doorman turned us away, saying, "You're just men." That was the only explanation – no incidents, no unusual behavior, simply: group of men = no entry. That's gender discrimination. Period. In an open, modern Berlin, this is not only disappointing, but simply unacceptable. Instead of diversity, double standards are applied here. Sexism remains sexism – even if it's directed against men.

Nice spot right on the Spree. Large outdoor terrace, prices are quite reasonable for such a touristy spot. Great view of the Oberbaum Bridge! Only had a Berliner Weisse!

Nice location on the Spree, right next to the East Side Gallery. You can sit outside and look out at the Oberbaum Bridge and Kreuzberg. A 0.4 liter Coke costs €5. A tuna pizza costs €15. The taste was okay, but nothing special. Service was friendly. The restrooms were clean.
