Poseidon in Wesseling

Wir hatten diesmal eine sehr negative Erfahrung im Poseidon. Mit Reservierung und trotz leerem Restaurant, wurden wir in ein kleines Hinterzimmer (neben die Abstellkammer) an einen Minitisch zu viert „gequetscht“. Der Service war lustlos und das Essen wirklich schlecht (Fleisch der Grillplatte zäh, nach Verzehr des Moussaka musste ich mich nachts mehrfach übergeben). Wir haben sehr viel Geld für schlechtes Essen, Getränke in einem beklemmenden Ambiente ausgegeben, begleitet von einem Service, dem wir offensichtlich nicht willkommen waren. Fazit: Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Today we were in this restaurant for the first and last time. Today we spontaneously went to the restaurant for lunch with the family. When we arrived, we sat outside and ordered a starter and a main course. I had a lamb plate as my main course. The starter was ok. When the main course came, we were surprised at the pungent, acrid smell. When I took one of the lamb chops and bit into it, I immediately spat it out. The meat was spoiled! Now we knew where the smell came from. I gave one of the pieces to my husband, he took it, smelled it and immediately grimaced. Of course, we all stopped eating immediately. We had all lost our appetite. My husband then called the waitress to our table and explained the situation to her. The waitress was very calm and just said, "Okay, I'll pass this on to the boss." We waited in vain for a response from the waitress for about 30 minutes. After asking again, the waitress told us that the rotting smell of the meat was already known in the kitchen!!! As compensation she would cancel half our plate. My husband then asked if the boss could come to us personally. After waiting several times for about 20 minutes, a young man came. I don't know if he's the boss. We asked him if he knew that his restaurant was intentionally selling tainted meat?! He just replied that yes, the supplier was to blame. We then said that under no circumstances would we pay for the plate. He immediately said that was fine. We paid and left. If something like that happened unknowingly, I would never say anything, but to say that the kitchen was aware that the meat smelled strange and was being served anyway, that's not possible!

Very nice Greek restaurant, we particularly like the winter garden and the fact that there is a swing and sandpit for smaller children. The food is also good and the price/performance ratio is good. Personally, it is our first choice if you are looking for a Greek restaurant in the surrounding area in the south of Cologne. There are only a few parking spaces available.

Was here today for the first and last time. Prices far too high for the quantity and quality. You are spoken to in an unfriendly manner and when you pay, the remaining money is withheld without comment. This store is not recommended and I can't understand how all the good reviews come about.

Let's start with the positives... ☀️ The place looks really nice, with a big terrace, some Greek statues, and a "Wasserturm" that looks like a lighthouse that makes you feel like you're on the greek coast (if you ignore the cars in the street). 🏛️🌊 The staff is nice. I read some complaints about the staff and the slow service, but that wasn't the case for us. Everything was fast, and they were really friendly. 👍 Now, the food. We ordered gyros with salad and tzatziki. It was a bit dry, but the taste was okay, nothing special. 🥙🥗 The dorade royal vom grill was something special, though. It was tasty, juicy, and served with extra olive oil and vegetables. 🐟🔥 It was good, but I have to confess that I was expecting a bit more of the gyros🙅🏻🙅🏻‍♀️ I almost forgot, the baked feta cheese was really good 🌟🌟🌟 In any case, I would definitely recommend the dorade royal. That was really good.

We were there on a busy Friday evening. It's very nice to sit outside. Perfect for warm summer evenings! The problem was that we had to wait about 90 minutes for our food. This can happen when things are going well and everyone orders at the same time. However, it is annoying when several neighboring tables have paid before you have seen your food. The food is solid, but unfortunately there is a lot of good competition in the area, so it fell short of expectations. Would we come back again? Allegedly. But only if we are outside the classic meal times.

I can really only advise against this restaurant - you could rather go to McDonalds. One thing first: SERVICE IS DISASTER. But everything in order: the appetizer platter is well filled, but almost all of it is ready-made. Some of the starters are still much too cold (obviously from the fridge). The waiting time for the main course, over 1.5 hours (no joke), was completely unacceptable. Drink orders also take forever. Main course tasted okay. Service doesn't take customers seriously and forgets orders. I saved myself a dessert. First and last visit.

Great ambience and of course the humorous service in combination with the juiciest prawns, so I'm still so impressed right now that I think a very good review is essential. I'm looking forward to coming here again.

We've eaten here several times before, but last night turned out to be the last time. The food was cold and unseasoned, the salad was a disaster, it was dirty, you had the impression that the service was strange.

We've been there several times. So far we have always been satisfied and it tasted great. Only today did one notice that the euphoria and love had disappeared. Not only have the prices been raised massively due to the current situation (which is not understandable due to the 19% VAT) but also that the staff treats the guests quite rudely. You haven't finished eating (a side salad) and the waitress comes and literally snatches your plate away. That is not how it works. Now on the subject of food: The side salad was thrown rather carelessly onto the plate and the sauce was quickly slapped over it. In the past the bifteki was always super juicy and tasty but today we were disappointed. The item was far too dry and had simply been thrown onto the plate. The tastiest thing today were the fries. I think we'll keep our distance for now. No matter how much there is to do and how stupid the guests can sometimes be, it doesn't work that way... If you asked for the bill you had to wait forever.

Best Greek restaurant I have visited in a long time.

We came here because of the positive reviews, which unfortunately are absolutely incomprehensible. Firstly, the prices on the menu do not match the menu on the homepage. Secondly, there are few dishes to choose from. You should then assume that the food will come fresh and quickly. Quite the opposite was the case. The wait for the food was over an hour long. The side salad was a joke. Never had a salad like this from a Greek. The dressing was a mustard sauce, just slapped on the fact that something can be seen on the "few" leaves. No coleslaw, no pepperoni, no olive... That has nothing to do with Greek. We know it completely differently. For all four of our dishes, the food came to the table only lukewarm. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't good either (gyros with a lot of fat, gyros in Metaxa sauce with a lot of cream, flavor enhancers and completely over-salted). The prices for the food are way too high. The price-performance ratio here is not right at all. If we had known what to expect, we would have preferred to have a good meal somewhere else. Once and never again!!

We have been going to Poseidon for several years. Approximately 2-3 times a year. The food was always very tasty and everything was well priced. What we noticed in the summer: the restaurant is now too big. Waiting times of over 1 hour are normal. If you consider that it's almost exclusively quick-fried food, then it takes too long. The restaurant is very busy. Anyone who claims to have got one of the approximately 20 parking spaces there without any problems at the peak time between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. was extremely lucky or was there on a closed day. In addition to the actual brick-walled restaurant, there are also covered terraces that are heated in winter. Here you should know that it is often cold and drafty. That's because of the contemporaries who leave the door open. The prices have now also been raised significantly. The main courses are almost all above €19. Here you could have put a little less meat on the plate. As sorry as I am, I can no longer recommend this locally.

Maybe having a bad day. But we had to wait a long time for food and with a small child. I had moussaka, tasty but not really hot. We also had to order the drinks several times.

We've been sitting here for 1 hour 45 now and it took 45 minutes for 8 drinks alone and we've been waiting almost 50 minutes for the food!! That's really a disgrace and if it wasn't my grandma's birthday I would have left long ago!!! I recommend that everyone who comes here not to take any further precautions

The food was very dry and not at all edible. The rice tasted like tomato soup and the salad was sickening. In the end, despite being told that the food didn't taste delicious, we paid the full price!

As always, we went inside with friends with a reservation. The seating is comfortable, so you can sit there for longer without back problems. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is prepared in a Greek style and is good. The only thing that really bothered me was the toilets. One toilet was completely closed and the flush of the other toilet was very broken and so the condition was miserable. In addition, the toilets are so small that a disabled person would hardly be able to move around there. This is a very big drawback. A PITY

We were here a few weeks ago. The first and the last time! We asked for a high chair, had one, but didn't get one. We also asked for small cutlery for the child, which never came. Not even after repeated requests/demands. Some of the food was inedible. Among other things, a schnitzel that we got raw! To which all I got was a really, really stupid “Do you want a new one?” Um no, I would like it completely raw please. Seriously? When the staff wasn't standing in the room with their cell phones in their hands, everyone was outside smoking and on their cell phones. Really non-stop! Hands were not washed after smoking. Also the gentleman who was responsible for organizing the table. Impossible. The prices for the food you get are far too high. We absolutely cannot understand the many positive reviews. All of our guests were not satisfied. Never again!

Wir kamen rein und ein Angestellter diskutierte lautstark mit anderen Angestellten, das machte einen sehr unprofessionellen Eindruck. Das Essen war für die Qualität zu teuer, das war eher Imbissküche.Die Getränke waren zu teuer.Alles in allem schien es so als sei die Mehrwertsteuer schon wieder draufgerechnet. Daher nur bedingt zu empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Essen. Im Anbau im Winter kalt an den Füßen. Toiletten z.T. defekt oder Klopapier fehlte. Die Preise auf der Speisekarte im Internet stimmen nicht, es ist fast alles ca. 3 Euro teurer.

Leckeres Essen, guter Service zu einem fairen Preis. Gut gegessen und sowenig bezahlt wie lange nicht. Komme mit Sicherheit wieder.

Ein Lokal mit Potenzial , das jedoch nicht genutzt wird. Wer in Ruhe essen möchte ist hier leider falsch. Die Lokalität, Restaurant sowie im Wintergarten ist zwar schön jedoch akustisch viel zu laut. Aufgrund der Geräuschkulisse brüllt man sich am Schluss ebenso fast an um sich zu verstehen. Das Personal ist freundlich, arbeitet aber unkoordiniert. Das führt dazu, dass man das Personal selber oftmals mehrfach ansprechen muss, wenn viel los ist. Ansonsten kann man lange warten bis man bestellen darf. Und es wirkt alles sehr hektisch und ungemütlich dadurch. Es ist unglücklich, wenn das Personal selber nicht zuordnen kann, wer zu seinem Essen einen Salat extra dazu bekommt und der Gast dies erraten darf. Das Essen ist von unterschiedlicher Qualität und im Gesamten sehr unaufgeregt. Das Fleisch ist meist gut zubereitet. Der Oktopus wird ungewürzt und nur mit einem Einheitssenfdressing serviert. Schade, hier wäre noch Potenzial. Beim Salat wird leider nur der besagte Einheitssenfdressing serviert. Auch sehr schade. Es würde den Salat erheblich aufwerten, wenn wenigstens 3 Dressings zur Auswahl ständen . Parkplätze gibt es nur sehr begrenzt auf dem Gelände und steht in keinem Verhältnis zur Lokalgrösse. Ansonsten muß man sich im Umkreis bzw in den Nebenstraßen einen suchen was zu Entfernungen von gut min 500 Metern führen kann. Die Preise empfinde ich für das Gesamtpaket was geboten wird nicht angemessen, wenn auch mir klar ist, das die Beschaffunskosten dies rechtfertigen, aber leider nicht die Gesamtqualität.

Wir kommen immer mal wieder ins Poseidon nach Wesseling. Dieses Mal waren wir nicht so begeistert. Bei 2 Personen war das Fleisch nur noch lauwarm bzw. schon kalt. Der Reis mit Tomate war sehr zerkocht und hat nach nix geschmeckt.Nur das überbackene Gyros war lecker.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Waren zum Muttertag hier. Das Essen hat sehr Lecker geschmeckt. Brot wurde auch nachgefüllt. Service 1A. Ambiente war super. Saßen draußen bei tollem Wetter. Werden auf jedenfall wiederkommen. Beim Zweiten Besuch war es dann nicht mehr so toll. Wir mussten ungewöhnlich lange warten 60 Minuten. Das Essen trotzdem super Lecker allerdings war ein Gericht angebrannt.

Der Service ist super und sehr freundlich, das einzige Manko war die Warterei auf die Rechnung. Das Essen ist OK aber gefühlt wird mit Geschmacksverstärker gearbeitet. Salat schmeckt sehr gut. Für einen Ausflug zwischendurch ist es ok.

Das positive zuerst: freundliche Begrüßung, schnelle Bestellung und zügige Lieferung der Vorspeise und Getränke. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Nun das Negative: Bis das Essen kam, verging fast eine Stunde, viel zu lange. Die Kellner schwirrten zwar umher, haben aber ca. eine halbe Stunde nicht mitbekommen, dass man mal wegen der Getränke nachfassen könnte. Keine Übersicht! Auch dauerte die Nachbestellung von einem Bier 15 min. Viel zu lange! Leider kein Serviceüberblick. Hier würde ich nicht noch mal hingehen.

Waren das erste mal dort, das Essen war gut und der Service war freundlich und ebenfalls gut. Der außen Bereich könnte man schöner gestalten, da steht ein alter Rasenmäher rum oder ein Bank wo sich keiner mehr drauf Setzen kann und der Sandkasten ist fast ohne Sand. Es wirkt im Aussen Bereich etwas ungepflegt.

Schon die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich, wir haben uns von Anfang bis zum Ende sehr wohl gefühlt, sehr nettes Personal, das Essen war sehr sehr lecker, wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, wir wünschen dem Team, aĺles gute und viel Kundschaft. Das Restaurant Poseidon, ist nur zu Empfehlen

Das war unser erster aber ganz sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch hier. Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und das Personal ohne Ausnahme superfreundlich und lustig. Alle Daumen nach oben!

Heerlijk gegeten op het gezellige terras, leuk dat er een speeltuintje voor de kleintjes bij zit; nodigt ook uit om wat langer te blijven zitten als je met kinderen komt. Bediening erg vriendelijk, ruime keuze aan eten en drinken, porties ook ruim voldoende en het smaakte goed!

Wir waren gestern das Erste mal dort, mir hat es sehr gut gefallen, nettes Ambiente, sehr bequeme Couch. Vom Service hätte ich mir allerdings gewünscht, sie hätten auch gesehen, wenn die Getränke leer sind und dann vielleicht gefragt, ob man noch einen Wunsch hat. Die Teller haben sie jedenfalls schnell abgeräumt. Wir wollten noch ein Dessert essen, aber irgendwie haben die Bedienungen nicht wahrgenommen, dass wir noch einen Wunsch hatten. Auf die Rechnung haben wir auch warten müssen oder scheinbar haben sie es nicht verstanden, dass wir zahlen wollten, ob wohl zweimal gefragt wurde...bar oder mit Karte. Daher für den Service 1 Stern Abzug. Sonst gab es dort absolut nichts zu beanstanden. :-)

Gegen Essen und Preis/Lesitung gibt es nichts zu sagen. Der Service/Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit des Kelleners war so schlecht wie ich zuvor von keinem Griechen selten erlebt habe.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort, und das Lokal an sich ist ansprechend. Volles Haus ist dort anscheinend normal, und trotzdem hatten wir sehr zügig unser Essen. Wir hatten Lammfilet mit Pfeffersoße, Salat und Pommes. Die Pfeffersoße war ein Fertigprodukt was an der Konsistenz deutlich erkennbar war. Lamm war zart und lecker und mit 4 Stück auch reichlich portioniert. Getränke dauerten schonmal länger, und man musste nochmal nachhaken, aber im großen und ganzen war es in Ordnung. Werden höchstwahrscheinlich nochmal dort essen gehen.

Heute war da wohl Katastrophen Tag von 9 Bestellungen keine einzige richtig an den Tisch gebracht ... Fleisch falscher Gargrad oder komplett falsch ,die falschen beilagen dazu und anstatt scharfe sauce zum Steak ...BUTTER ..., Salat so grob geschnitten da hätte man uns auch ne Gurke und ne Tomate einfach hinlegen können... Also wirklich es tut mir leid aber das war eine Katastrophe

Wir können nur das Beste schreiben, die Bedienung ist leider überall sehr schwer zu kriegen, aber man kann sich doch arrangieren !! Was die Speisen betrifft, bis dato alles bestens und sollte mal was nicht ganz ok sein, man kann doch den Mund aufmachen und freundlich alles erklären. Es sind leider sehr viele (Möchtegern, in ) die sich über alles beschweren, - können leider selber keine Kartoffel schälen. Es ist traurig, solche Menschen überhaupt bedienen zu müssen.
