Das USDA-Steak war fantastisch und die stolzen 70 Euro absolut wert. Der Service war effizient, aber ein Lächeln hätte ihn noch besser gemacht. Keine Klimaanlage!

Wir, eine Reisegruppe, entdeckten dieses Juwel zufällig. Die Bedienung war hervorragend und die Steaks köstlich und saftig. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Guten Restaurant, tolle Fleischgerichte, sehr nette und freundliche Bedienung. Essen wurde schnell serviert, hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Innen tolles Ambiente, vor der Tür leider eine Baustelle. Preislich gehoben.

Essen sehr gut Ambiente ausgezeichnet. Der Service am 18.04.2026 war eine reine Zumutung. Keine Lust auf irgendwas und nur das nötigste gemacht

Der Kellner war nicht unfreundlich. Das Essen war okay, nichts Besonderes. Es war nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht umwerfend. Die Pommes waren wirklich ungenießbar, sparen Sie sich die 6 €.

1 Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Ein schlechter Witz.

Leider waren die Tagliatelle mit Trüffel und den Rinderfiletspitzen nicht mehr so gut, wie ich sie schon dort bekommen hatte. Das Fleisch war nicht gewürzt, der Trüffelgeschmack eher nur gering und insgesamt zu trocken. Die Portion aber auf jeden Fall angemessen groß. Auch schade: dafür dass gar nichts los war, hätte das Brot mit dem Olivenöl als "Gruß aus der Küche" gerne vor der Vorspeise kommen dürfen. So kam alles zusammen. Da geht etwas Flair und Gemütlichkeit leider flöten.

Leider konnte ich hier nicht essen, da das Servicepersonal unmöglich war, und bin deshalb gegangen. Ein freundlicher Tipp: Begrüßen Sie Gäste angemessen und behandeln Sie sie nicht herablassend, wenn sie Ihnen die Gelegenheit geben, die Speisekarte zu erklären und Ihnen gegebenenfalls ein teureres Fleischgericht anzubieten. Ein weiterer Tipp: Bedienen Sie Ihre Gäste mit einem Lächeln und behandeln Sie sie nicht von oben herab. Das wirkt sehr abschreckend und führt in der Regel dazu, dass die Gäste weniger oder gar nichts ausgeben, wenn Ihre Gastfreundschaft nicht dem Standard Ihrer Speisekarte entspricht. Ich werde aus Prinzip nicht wiederkommen und empfehle stattdessen eines der vielen anderen charmanten und einladenden Restaurants in Baden-Baden.

Gesamteindruck: Okay, ich persönlich würde dort nicht noch mal essen. Das Ambiente ist schön. Jedoch erwartet man insgesamt Mehr! Mehr Höflichkeit (diese fängt schon bei einer Telefonischen Reservierung an) Man startet kein Gespräch mit JA!! (Restaurant Name wäre das mindeste) Dort waren wir relativ die ersten Kunden. Es war wenig los. Trotzdem wurde uns direkt ein falscher Salat serviert ( war ja nur eine Bestellung und nix los), finde ich fatal. Das Steak wird Herzlos serviert einfach ein Stück Fleisch auf dem Teller. Es wird keine Butter dazu serviert (Kräuter oder Trüffel Butter) es wird auch kein Aufwand gemacht den Teller Appetitlich zu richten (was in der Preisklasse eigentlich zu machen sein sollte) Also Naja… Auf unsere Rechnung haben wir 30 Minuten gewartet was garnicht geht. Und das nach drei mal Nachfragen. Wir waren schon bereit aufzustehen und das Restaurant einfach zu verlassen. Fazit: Kann man machen aber es gibt deutlich bessere Alternativen.

Ideal für alle, die auf ihre Ernährung achten oder ihren Proteinbedarf decken möchten. Rindertartar, US Prime Steak, australisches Fleisch – alles perfekt. Das klassische Interieur in diesem zauberhaften Ambiente ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt für einen Aufenthalt.

Hier gibt es den besten Service und die beste Beratung! Kellner Alex ist eine super Hilfe bei der Auswahl von Speisen und Weinen. Sagen Sie ihm einfach Ihre Vorlieben und Sie werden kulinarisch verwöhnt. Ich habe hier mindestens 20 Stunden verbracht und jede Stunde war ein Genuss! Das Fleisch ist hier unübertroffen. Wenn Sie perfekt zubereitetes Fleisch lieben, sollten Sie dieses Restaurant unbedingt besuchen! 😋😋

In Baden-Baden, Germany, we stumbled upon this restaurant almost by chance. It was nighttime, and as is often the case in Europe, most places were already closed, so we had to eat dinner quite early, something quite unusual for us Spaniards. The Porter House Grill is a spacious, elegant, and refined establishment, and the food was delicious and flavorful. The portions were generous, just the way we like them, and the service was very attentive, taking care of every detail. However, we were the only diners that night, so in a way, we were the center of attention. Even so, the experience was pleasant. A highly recommended spot if you're in Baden-Baden and want to enjoy good food, even if it's a quiet one.

Located at a beautiful and easy to reach spot this restaurant is a great choice. The outdoor eating is great for summer time while the inside is also cozy. Food was very tasty although felt like portion was a little less for price. Service was a little slow because at the time I went there was very limited staff. So had to wait and also remind request a few times. Overall an okay experience. Recommend for the food!

Food done excellent. Medium rare Steak cook with a nice crust and is well seasoned with right amount of salt and pepper. Sweet potato fries is crispy on the outside while retaining it moisture within.

❌ Very disappointing! We waited over an hour and a half for our food. When we politely inquired, the only response was, "If you don't like it, you can leave. It's not worth arguing with the chef." Such disrespectful treatment of guests is absolutely unacceptable. Neither the service nor the organization are up to scratch here – absolutely not recommended!

A nice but expensive restaurant for this quality.

We've visited Baden Baden so often that I can't even remember how many times we've eaten at the Porterhouse. The first time, it was out of necessity, but since then, this restaurant has been our first choice here in Baden-Württemberg. There are restaurants here with great, evocative names. But none of these competitors offer the consistent, excellent quality and exceptionally friendly service here. Thanks to the entire team. It's always a pleasure to be your guest.

A true steak experience – our favorite restaurant We are completely satisfied! We regularly drive from Pforzheim to Baden-Baden – just for the fantastic US prime beef. Juicy, tender, cooked to perfection – the chef is simply a master at his craft. The ambiance is also impressive: spacious, stylish, and very clean. The staff is prompt, friendly, and attentive. We would especially like to highlight the friendly waitress – always in a good mood, always ready to make a joke, yet professional and welcoming. The appetizers and side dishes are also fresh, varied, and excellently prepared. Highly recommended – if you love real steak, this is the place for you!

The food here simply tastes really good. This was our second time here and I have to say the price-performance ratio is really good. (We're used to different prices in Baden-Baden.) The service is also good. We're satisfied and will definitely come back. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We went as 4 children and 4 adults. We ordered New Zealand lamb ribs, Argentinian steak lobster soup, meat tea and corn soup and hamburgers for the kids. All were excellent. Es war sehr gut, dass wir am Freitagabend spontan einen Tisch erhalten haben. Der Service war sehr unhöflich. Gäste, welche bekannt waren oder nach Geld aussahen, wurden sehr bevorzugt behandelt und hofiert. „Normale“ Gäste wurden sehr kurz und knapp bedient. Es wurde nicht gefragt, ob es schmeckt, ob es noch Getränkewünsche gibt, ob ein Dessert gewünscht ist und so weiter. Der Nachbartisch wird ständig gefragt, Getränke wurden nachgeschenkt und es wurde geplauscht und gescherzt. Das Essen war ok. Die aufgerufene Preise für das Essen war eindeutig zu hoch und es ist es nicht wert. Egal wieviel Geld man hat. Ich denke , andere Restaurant in Baden-Baden sind für einen angenehmen und schmackhaften Abend deutlich besser geeignet.

Little light, music too loud, overwhelmed staff, obviously not enough people for so many tables, 35' for a reserved table, waited, no drinks served, nothing asked for. The food was good enough for prices well beyond 100 per person. To summarize, two words: never again

Had dinner for two yesterday. Service nice and friendly. Location and ambience very nice. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. Had a Caesar salad and truffle linguine beforehand. The Caesar salad wasn't really a Caesar salad, it was more reminiscent of a standard starter salad and the taste was really weak. We were most disappointed with the truffle linguine, the pasta was overcooked and the truffle sauce was unfortunately inedible. It was said that an Italian cooked the truffle linguine, but that was certainly not the case. Afterwards there was sirloin steak medium, the cooking point was good but the quality of the meat wasn't really good, rather tough... The Bernaise sauce was tasteless, the fries were fried for too long, dry and rock hard.. All in all, we no longer visit this restaurant and don't recommend it to anyone. A little tip is to change your chef, it will scare away your customers... P.S. Your online menu has big differences with the prices you give with the menu on site. We felt really ripped off on that point.

Unfortunately, the starter salad had far too little dressing and was therefore very dry and tasteless. The beef fillet, on the other hand, was really great! Fries, herb butter and pepper sauce too. For dessert there was the brownie, which unfortunately was just a chocolate muffin. Ambience is great and very cozy. Service leaves a lot to be desired, tried to pay several times and waited a very long time for the food. Unfortunately there was a very stressed aura among the employees.

Were here on New Year's Eve, December 31st, 2024, and upon arrival we waited half an hour to be able to order. We didn't get the card either but took it from the next table. After the drinks came we had to wait an hour for the food! There was no apology for the long wait, just “I’m not the cook.” One of us ordered a salad as a starter which came without dressing. When we asked for dressing, a small cup of balsamic vinegar came. The food itself isn't bad, but the service is disastrous. The side dish portions were also mini. Everyone left hungry, and finding somewhere else to eat that evening was almost impossible.

The place is beautiful and large, but unfortunately not very busy this Thursday evening around 8 p.m. I come to this restaurant for the meat which is very tender, and the potato gratin and salad accompaniments were well prepared. Only downside: the service was a little abrupt, in "efficient" mode, which spoils the experience a little. No need to be stressed when there are so few people 😁

The atmosphere there was cozy, but a bit too loud. We ate an Argentinian beef fillet, instead of medium it was medium rare. Then we had truffle linguine, which didn't taste like truffles at all.

I really enjoy being here. Friendly service and, above all, the food is great! Steak lovers will get their money's worth here in a sophisticated atmosphere. Roasted to perfection, very tender meat. The sauces served with it do the rest - the mustard sauce and the BBQ sauce are particularly good. A large and exclusive wine selection is also available.

Very friendly reception. Cards were quickly handed out and recommendations of the day were presented. We, two people, decided on two different steak variations. A “greeting from the kitchen” made the manageable waiting time fly by and tasted delicious. The main courses were perfectly balanced in terms of appearance and taste. The homemade green pepper sauce...to die for.

This place… well what an experience. It was late and we needed to find somewhere and accidentally stumbled upon this gem. We both order the rack of Lamb, I like mine medium rare and the other medium. They were cooked to perfection. The service was great and very friendly and helpful. I would have to say this restaurant is a must if steak or meat is your go to.

Absolute tourist trap. Away from the front. I come from the catering industry myself. You don't even need to order portions of side dishes, just drink one more beer. No porterhouse steak found on the menu. You couldn't choose meat. Cooking levels are met with luck. Salmon was ok but not well seasoned. Unfortunately, it's a palate-pleaser instead of a culinary delight. There is still room for improvement here.

We managed a table on a fairly busy Euros-night. We were seated in a part of the restaurant that was almost hot even with the windows open. The full open windows let a lot of street noise in, and there was a lot. The service wasn't the fastest and warmest I've ever had, but it did the trick. We stuck to the burgers and pasta side of the menu, and were happy with our choices and our meals. From the beef that came with my pasta, I suspect that their steaks are quite good. My only real quibble is that everything was ala carte and the bill added up fast. Yes, I got to be selective and choose to add or not, but I also should have kept a better eye on the bottom line. The pasta was a good pasta price - adding beef made it a very expensive pasta. The burger was a good burger price - adding fries made it an expensive burger. Perhaps the best thing is just to be very selective.

Lors de notre séjour à Baden-Baden pour les 60 ans de mon mari, nous avons réservé une table dans cet établissement. À notre arrivée, nous avons eu l’impression qu’ils n’avaient pas compris que nous avions réservé, ils ont dû nous préparer une table. Nous avons commandé le filet de bœuf accompagné d’une salade et de gratin de pommes de terre, la nourriture était délicieuse et le restaurant en lui-même très beau. Par contre, au vu des tarifs appliqués, nous nous attendions vraiment à un service de meilleure qualité !

Visit last Saturday evening (March 9th), table on the ground floor. The food was excellent. The service was unfortunately subpar, the gentleman had little empathy, had to be spoken to several times, the order was carried out incorrectly and then billed incorrectly. It's a shame actually. I would make a change here on the part of management. CONCLUSION: Highly recommended in terms of the quality of the food, service could clearly be improved.

The starter was beef tartare. Fantastic! The main course was beef fillet and entrecote. Fantastic! The side dishes were also simply delicious. The service is also very warm. We would love to come back and can only recommend it.

Service impeccable, discrets efficaces, à l’ecoute. Viandes au top, cuissons parfaites , plats appétissants gouteux et genereux. Cadre confortable et intime . Rien à redire !

Das Ambiente entspricht einer gehobenen französischen Brasserie. alles sehr schön. Die Küche war dem Ambiente angemessen. Einige Weine fehlten, hier sollte entweder ein Hinweis auf der Karte stehen (wenn dieser Wein nicht mehr lieferbar oder "ausverkauft" ist) oder die Bedienung müsste von vornherein darauf hinweisen.

Service war an dem Tag unterbesetzt und daher nicht optimal. Aber das US Prime Filetsteak war grandios und an Zartheit nicht zu überbieten. Auch das Rindertartar ist sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Baden-Baden sehr gerne wieder.

From the welcome to the service to the food, everything was excellent! The tartare for the starter in particular was worth more than five stars.

Very tasty and recommended! Even though it was full and we didn't have a reservation that evening, we were still warmly welcomed and assigned a spot that suited us. You can really enjoy the food from the first bite and the taste stays the same. It took a little longer for the food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The two of us ordered the USA Black Angus 1 kg and enjoyed it with Bernaise sauce, truffle puree and potato gratin. The meat was juicy and soft, it was (again) very tasty! The service was attentive and not intrusive. The atmosphere was relaxed. On the whole you could move on happily and contentedly.

Yesterday, four of us and two large dogs ate at the Porterhouse. We had reserved a table. We sat at the back on the upper floor. Perfect with the dogs. The food was really very good. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. We would love to come back and we can absolutely recommend it.

Food would have been good if everything had come together. Service couldn't bring either the drinks or the food order correctly. Side dishes at the table Steak is probably still in the kitchen... Burger completely wrong... A salad hour later etc... The restaurant also apologized and granted a discount, but what was actually a big deal in this fiasco It was supposed to be a nice Christmas party and nothing has changed.

Aufgrund der Karte hatte ich mich für dieses Restaurant entschieden. Das Ambiente passt zu Baden Baden wie der Deckel auf den Topf. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Die Rip's weshalb ich dieses Restaurant gewählt hatte, sollte es erst gegen 20 Uhr geben. (Das fand nicht nur ich, sondern auch drei weitere Gäste die nach uns kamen schade). Da wir schon um 18:30 Uhr hier waren, musste eine Alternative her. Also entschied ich mich ebenfalls für den Burger. Das Brötchen war wie von jemand anderen bereits erwähnt, eher wie ein Brötchen vom Bäcker. Fand ich aber absolut ok, Mal etwas anderes! Der Burger war eher Mittelmaß, das geht besser! Für eine Handvoll Portherhouse Fries 5.-€ ist dann auch jenseits des Guten, zumal die auch nur OK waren. Für die Flasche Mineralwasser (0,75 Liter), 8,80€ zu verlangen ist eine Frechheit! Im Normalfall bewerte ich ein Restaurant bei dem ich mittelgute oder schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht habe, erst beim dritten Besuch. Da ich diesem aber keine weitere Chance mehr geben möchte, gibts direkt eine Bewertung! Schade! Wir kommen nicht wieder und können dieses Restaurant leider nicht empfehlen!

Sehr gut absolut empfehlenswert

Mitarbeiter etwas hektisch und unbeholfen, belehrend und ohne Ahnung zu den angebotenen Speisen, kalte Atmosphäre, sauber. Essen qualitativ niedriges Niveau. Hähnchenburger war mit Patti aus Formfleisch und tiefgefrorene Massenware. 2 kleinen Tomatenscheiben, 1 großes Salatblatt und einem Klecks Cocktailsauce vom Discounter. Dafür 14€ ohne Beilage ist unverschämt. Steak war von Supermarktqualität und unprofessionell zubereitet. Alles völlig überteuert. Die Mayo zu den Pommes war vom Discounter und Öl und Balsamico noch in den Flaschen vom Laden. Alles in allem ist das Restaurant nicht zu empfehlen. Alles zusammen 70€ inklusive 1 Weißbier und kleinem Spezi. Da gibt es bessere Restaurants.
