Good food, good service. I'd happily recommend it.

Restaurant was booked for a business lunch. Guests enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

I've been coming back to Molkenkur for about 10 years now, and I always feel very comfortable. This year, there was a change of tenant, and the menu was slightly modified, but thankfully, the quality has remained the same. Here's to the next 10 years :)))

A very nice inn, both inside and out. I also love the location. The staff was quick but friendly. I like that the menu isn't too extensive but still offers a good selection. However, the portions could be larger and a bit more seasoned for the price.

Having visited the Gasthaus Molkenkur for the umpteenth time, I can only say it's always worth it. From the warm welcome and friendly service to the consistently delicious food, this certainly won't be my last visit! I highly recommend it (see previous feedback).

Unfortunately, this was my third attempt at enjoying a good, home-style meal. The portions are getting smaller and more expensive. The highlight: two slices of feta cheese with wilted lettuce and a teaspoon of pickled tomatoes, guaranteed to cost less than €1. And today it costs €19.80. Judge for yourself.

The staff and service are excellent—always friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, with generous portions that are absolutely filling. The lunch menu is especially recommended: new dishes are offered every week, varied and freshly prepared. Highly recommended.

We celebrated our daughter's wedding here last week. The arrangements and organization worked perfectly. Since the weather was beautiful, we were offered the opportunity to move the event to the garden at short notice – excellent service. The wait staff and chef know their job. We'd love to come back.

The tafelspitz was good (though I would have loved more vegetables to go with it) but the kaiserschmarrn were the best I ever had! Soft and flavourful with a little caramelized crunch to them.

We spent two days in Baden-Baden while passing through and stopped at the Molkenkur on Saturday evening. Service was excellent and the food delicious. Although the garden was quite full, we didn't have to wait long. From the appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious. After dinner, we sat until the end, enjoying the beautiful weather outdoors with a delicious wine.

Good food (delicious schnitzel and fries), a lovely atmosphere, and a fantastic beer garden right by the forest, providing a cool spot on hot days. The staff was extremely friendly, and we felt completely at home. We'll be back on our next visit to Baden-Baden!

The location is nice, but the food is very overpriced and, in my case, unfortunately not tasty. I had a vegetarian tarte flambée that wasn't seasoned, had no cheese, and the vegetables were raw and very roughly chopped. Absolutely not worth the price.

We stopped by on our way home and were NOT disappointed. We received a very warm welcome and very friendly and competent service. Honestly, such service staff deserves a lot of credit these days. The atmosphere was pleasant; we sat in the beer garden, and it's also quite impressive, especially in the high temperatures. The roast beef with onions and the rump steak were cooked to perfection and truly delicious, as were the side dishes. Our special request for a side salad instead of vegetables with the rump steak was no problem at all. The dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) was also very tasty and fluffy—not too sweet, a nice balance, and just about fit for two people ;-) We followed it with an espresso and an excellent "old plum" (altes Pflächen). I'm not a schnapps drinker, but I can highly recommend it. Dear Ms. Maier, thank you so much for your service to us—absolutely fantastic, thanks to the chefs...if we're in the area, we'll definitely see you again :-) Thanks to the team

Was für ein Kleinod! Das Wirtshaus wirkt von aussen wie aus einem Märchenbuch, die pure Idylle. Und nach der Wiedereröffnung im Mai 2025 weht ein schöner, frischer Wind. Die herzliche Atmosphäre passt gut zur neuen Speisekarte, auf der sich für jeden Geschmack etwas findet. Tafelspitz, Rinderbäckle, Maultaschen? Bei mehreren Besuchen probiert, einfach nur köstlich. Und wenn das Wetter mitspielt, lässt sich kaum ein romantischerer Platz finden als der Biergarten hinter dem Haus. Ein wirklich spezieller, einzigartiger Wohlfühlort in Baden-Baden. Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die die badische Küche lieben und ein gemütliches, herzliches Ambiente schätzen! Wir waren im Wirtshaus Molkenkur zu Gast und rundum begeistert. Schon beim Eintreten fühlt man sich willkommen – das urige, stilvoll eingerichtete Lokal strahlt eine Wärme aus, die man heute nur noch selten findet. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist uns das überaus freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Man hatte nie das Gefühl, nur „eine Nummer“ zu sein – im Gegenteil: Auch auf Kinder wird liebevoll eingegangen, was den Besuch noch entspannter machte. Das Essen? Einfach hervorragend! Bodenständig, frisch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Die Portionen waren großzügig, aber nicht überladen, und geschmacklich absolut überzeugend. Ein weiteres Highlight: die entspannte Atmosphäre, die zum Verweilen einlädt – ob drinnen im stilvollen Gastraum oder draußen auf der Terrasse (wenn das Wetter mitspielt). Fazit: Wer in Baden-Baden gutbürgerlich essen gehen möchte und dabei Wert auf Qualität, Gastfreundschaft und eine angenehme Umgebung legt, ist im Wirtshaus Molkenkur genau richtig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

We had a Wiener Schnitzel and a Rostbraten with Onions, both with a small salad. Very tasty and absolutely reasonably priced. The hostess was very attentive.

We spent a lovely evening together at the Molkenkur. The food was very good. You can tell that trained and experienced chefs work in the kitchen. The service team was very attentive, friendly, and competent, all in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The historic restaurant is idyllically located, decorated with attention to detail, and the food – in my case, an asparagus menu – was a poem. The extremely attentive service complemented the overall experience – it's just a shame that the beer garden wasn't an option due to the weather. We're looking forward to our next visit and hope to be able to do so soon!

Wir haben einen rundum gelungenen Abend in der Molkenkur verbracht und können das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen. Das historische Restaurant ist idyllisch gelegen, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, und das Essen - in meinem Fall ein Spargel-Menü - ein Gedicht. Der überaus zuvorkommende Service passte dazu ins Bild - schade nur, dass der Biergarten wetterbedingt keine Option war. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch und hoffen, dies bald nachholen zu können!

**Restaurant Disaster: Never Again!** This restaurant recently got a new team, and I thought I'd stop by after a long time. I used to be a regular here. I'll keep it short and sweet and show you a photo of the **Devil's Salad** I ordered here. It tastes even **worse than it looks**. I have no idea how anyone can serve something like that to their guests. The chef should be **ashamed of himself!** I also ordered a spritzer that was **90 percent water**, a soup straight from the discount store, and fries that lost their flavor after exactly four minutes. I paid a whopping 40 euros for this **derogation**, but couldn't swallow anything except the espresso. Everything else was simply **undrinkable**. That was the **most expensive espresso of my life** – 40 euros! I felt a little sorry for the waitress who had to clear the full plates. She looked sad, but it never occurred to anyone to apologize. I **CATEGORILY DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant!**

Wir haben einen schönen Abend zu zweit in der Molkenkur verbracht. Das Essen war sehr gut. Hier merkt man, dass gelernte und erfahrene Köche in der Küche arbeiten. Das Service-Team war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und kompetent und das alles bei angenehmer Atmosphäre. Sehr empfehlenswert.

A very beautiful and idyllically located restaurant, very tasty food, very friendly service, we were visited by family who had traveled far and wide and they took us to this beautiful restaurant and we did not regret it, we will definitely visit it again.

Das Wirtshaus Molkenkur ist einladend und gemütlich eingerichtet mit einem sehr schönen Biergarten. Leider ist die Speisekarte sehr kurz geraten mit wenig Auswahl. Das Essen selbst ist geschmacklich nicht so, dass man sich auf einen nächsten Besuch freut - zumal es überteuert ist. Das Restaurant ist nach einer Schliessung neu eröffnet worden, aber trotz schönem Wetter - gähnende Leere. Meine Prognose ist, dass das schöne Lokal in Kürze leider wieder geschlossen wird.

During my stay in Baden-Baden, I had the pleasure of visiting Wirtshaus Molkenkur - a charming restaurant offering traditional German cuisine in a cozy atmosphere.​ The inn is idyllically located on the edge of the forest at Quettigstrasse 19 and has a beautiful beer garden that invites you to linger, especially on warm days. ​ The menu offers a variety of regional specialties. I chose the Tafelspitz with horseradish sauce, potatoes and vegetables - the meat was tender and the side dishes were fresh and tasty. The desserts, like the berry curd, were also a delight. The service was attentive and friendly. Particularly noteworthy is the warm atmosphere, which is underlined by the rustic interior with a fireplace room and loving decoration. ​ Overall, the Molkenkur inn offers an authentic experience of Baden hospitality. I can only recommend a visit and am already looking forward to my next stay.

Great restaurant, lots to see, beautiful decor. The food was also very tasty, but the prices for food and drinks are high.

The beer garden and the restaurant are quite nice, but in the kitchen you prefer to cook what you want and not what is on the menu. The price-performance ratio is not convincing. The lunch menu is so misleading that neither fellow restaurateurs nor lawyers can define what is included. We can happily do without the whey treatment in the future!

Nous avons été accueilli par un serveur pas sympathique. Le restaurant était mal chauffé nous avons eu froid tout le repas et en prime le serveur à oublié de nous servir le dessert que nous avions commandé. Le repas était bon mais le prix était un peu élevé.

The food was very good, but the prices are also high. The “senior plate” porcini mushroom ravioli was okay for the price. I think drinks are too expensive. I can expressly recommend the dessert selection.

We had steak which was very tasty and very well fried.

Waiting an hour for the food we ordered... Sauerbraten tough and not worth the name, side dishes very weak and partly raw, venison goulash so-so not what you would expect. Like I said, waited an hour for it. Not recommended on public holidays.

A very well-run restaurant with excellent cuisine and attentive service. The dining room isn't too big, so make sure you make a reservation - it's easy to do online and works perfectly.

The food was delicious! I ordered salmon with a pumpkin risotto which was cooked to perfection. I also love that they offer smaller Senior portions, for diners with smaller stomachs. The staff was pleasant and the atmosphere perfect for our work team dinner.

We were there today as part of a company outing. Looking at the menu, I was actually looking forward to it, but unfortunately the food served was a huge disappointment. I had the fried fish with potato and cucumber salad. The portion was really small. The fish was fried too long and was dry, the “potato and cucumber salad” was a potato salad from a bucket with three slices of cucumber on top. The taste is really sad and overall absolutely outrageous for the hefty price! The restaurant is unsuitable for large groups because it is really too loud. However, the service was quick.

Food very down to earth and tidy. Service very professional and good. It was a wonderful summer evening in the beautiful beer garden, but it ended too early because the restaurant was no longer open. That was a bit of a mood killer for us. Otherwise I would definitely like to come back.

We were mainly here because of the beautiful atmosphere (beer garden) and the fact that a well-known German family series was filmed here in the early 1960s. Once in the garden of veterinarian Dr. Hofer linger…. The food was very good and the service was extremely attentive. Unfortunately, we were talked into the completely overpriced (EUR 6.60) side salad, which only consisted of four lettuce leaves and a few diced vegetables. However, this only slightly marred the overall experience. Still 1 star deducted.

I wanted to order a "children's schnitzel" (my stomach can only handle small portions), but I was refused! But I was generously offered a portion of fries from the children's menu as an alternative. Where's the logic in that?! Once and never again...

Wunderschöner Biergarten, Speisekarte für Fleischliebhaber und Vegetarier. Trotz Eintreffen mit 7 Personen erst kurz vor 14 Uhr nette Bedienung und Essen kam recht zügig. Und allen hat es prima geschmeckt. Zum Schluss gab es für die müden Wanderer noch Dessert aufs Haus. 😋

Due to a report in the BNN, we visited the restaurant today without a reservation. Friendly welcome and good service. Good menu and also a good selection on the wine list. First we had an aperitif: the house punch (very tasty). We ordered roast ox and sauerbraten, each with spaetzle and salad. Good portions and both very delicate. Both excellently prepared. To round it off with an espresso macchiato. Price-performance ratio good. We sat on the terrace. The location in Baden Baden is exceptional. In the city, but almost in the forest, which is directly adjacent to the beer garden. We'll definitely come back. Rating ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED

Super nice place in Baden-Baden. We come here every year and eat here. This year we had asparagus with pancakes and schnitzel and also a strawberry tiramisu. Prices have also increased due to the economic situation and probably the increased VAT. The service was very quick and attentive. We'd love to come back.

Very good restaurant with real classic dishes and very good service. What unfortunately made it a little less enjoyable for us was the large group behind us, which made the sound a bit restless. But that was one of the few downsides.

It was a nice evening, but it was marred by a few negative points. The food was OK, it was very nicely prepared, but it didn't blow me or the others away and it was too expensive in comparison. Unfortunately, the service was a bit messed up and brought us the wrong drink twice. Once it was a wine with 0.2 instead of 0.1 as ordered. Of course, 0.2 also had to be paid. They also asked for a clear schnapps and a liqueur was delivered. All in all, it's a very nice location, but the food and service can still be improved.
