RIZZI The Restaurant in Baden-Baden

We went to Rizzi in Baden-Baden, and the food was truly delicious—the taste was top-notch, and the quality was also outstanding. 🌟 The only downside was, unfortunately, the service: we had to wait an extremely long time both to order and to pay. It's a shame, because otherwise it would have been an all-around perfect experience.

Frendly for russians, I do not recommend it for democratic and humanistic people

We had a relatively good meal: the risotto with the salmon was simply excellent. However, the salmon itself wasn't exceptional (a little too salty and not tender enough). The starter was also good. The wait time was perfect. Service could be improved: we asked for the wine list three times, and got it on the third request after calling out to another server. We asked for water, which never arrived but was billed. Luckily, we checked the bill (we were refunded without a problem, though). From our table, we could smell the smoke from customers smoking on the sofas. It was quite unpleasant to eat with such a smell. It was the last table available, but if I had known about the smoke, I would have eaten at another restaurant. Given the price, I expected a little better.

Overall the restaurant and the food are very good, but it's terrible that there is no separation between smoking and non-smoking tables, everyone smokes on the summer terrace and this really spoils the whole impression of the food and the atmosphere

We've always received excellent service, and we've always been able to find a table. Today there was no table, which can happen, and the cancellation was nothing short of arrogant and unfriendly. However, we were warmly welcomed at another restaurant. Perhaps they should take a training course on how to politely decline guests.

It's actually a nice restaurant with a good selection of food. Unfortunately, guests are allowed to smoke cigars during their meal. This is an unacceptable situation for all guests who are bothered by it. I therefore cannot recommend the restaurant.

We have been regulars at this wonderful restaurant for many years and have never been disappointed – whether in the cozy atmosphere on site or for special occasions. The food is excellent, the service warm and attentive. We would especially like to highlight the catering we recently used for a celebration at home. From the planning and delivery to the actual event, everything was perfect. The service and support provided by four Rizzi employees throughout the entire event was professional and absolutely courteous. Our guests were delighted – and we were able to enjoy the evening in a relaxed manner. Many thanks to the entire team for years of consistent quality and their fantastic support at our event. We are already looking forward to many more visits and events!

We celebrated our civil wedding with our families at RIZZI (30 people). The consultation beforehand was very friendly, and all our wishes were implemented. The selected 5-course menu was perfect, and the spontaneous arrangements regarding the breaks between courses worked very well. Christof's excellent service contributed greatly to the great atmosphere! He was very courteous and attentive, which was also positively commented on several times by our guests. Thank you so much for this wonderful celebration! We've been to RIZZI a few times before, and we've always enjoyed it.

Excellent food, friendly waiter, superb location, but the beef fillet and swordfish arrived at our table on the terrace with at least 50 bluebottles. The meal was accompanied by constant waving and "defending" of the food. A no-go. Yes, we could have gone inside, but we didn't want to move around with two dogs during our meal. A fly trap over the parasols, oils, and an electric insect killer would have been nice. The hotel apologized, saying it always takes about two months... Too bad...

Conclusion: If you value a beautiful ambiance and excellent service, the Rizzi is a good choice. Don't expect top-notch culinary delights, but for a pleasant evening in a stylish setting, it's definitely worth a visit.

Very nice restaurant and there is a Moroccan person I thank for his kindness

Although the food at this restaurant was really good, the entire dining experience was completely ruined by the extremely poor service. I had initially made a reservation by phone a day in advance, but even this process was unpleasant: complicated and inefficient. When we arrived at the restaurant on time, we stood at the entrance for a long time without anyone greeting or paying any attention to us. Only after we asked for a table were we pointed inside and told simply, "Just go inside and ask someone there." No eye contact, no greeting, no sign of hospitality. We decided to sit outside. But even after we were seated and made our selections, no one came to take our order. It took a while before a waitress came over to us – but instead of politely asking if we were ready to order, she simply said a curt "Okay?", which seemed extremely rude. Even worse: After the food was served, numerous flies suddenly gathered around our table, making eating almost impossible. When we asked the waitress for help, we only received a cold reply: "What can I do?" and the comment that it was "natural." She then disappeared and returned later with a small fan, commenting that they could see if it would help. Given the size of our table, this was, of course, completely ineffective. In the end, we asked to be moved inside the restaurant. But the waitress didn't help us carry the food – on the contrary, when we asked, she told us to carry the plates ourselves. She only took a few plates from us, but even these she threw onto the table with visible aggression. Disrespectful behavior that is completely out of place in a restaurant. I was very disappointed with the attitude of the staff. The only positive thing to note was a lady who was obviously not wearing a uniform – she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. However, the rest of the team seemed largely unprofessional, indifferent, and in no way hospitable. For a restaurant in this price range, such behavior is absolutely unacceptable. I sincerely hope that management seriously improves the service – because good food alone isn't enough to retain customers. Or is it ultimately the case that non-Germans are deliberately treated worse here?

Beautifully located directly on the Oos (small river) and the Lichtentaler Allee promenade. The front faces the city center and Augustaplatz, and the back faces the beautiful terrace surrounded by many old trees. As far as I know, parking is only in underground garages nearby. Most of the crowd wasn't my cup of tea. I felt like I was in a trendy Instagram video. Very loud, and it wasn't even full. The tables are very close together, like in France. Not for a romantic dinner. Friendly service, but they could have asked more often or looked over. Excellent food, perfect, everything fresh, super-tender meat and fish. Schnitzel cooked in a pan. Especially the crème brûlée is something everyone else will have to compete with: a perfect, wafer-thin crust and delicate vanilla cream, not a cheap, pasty pseudo-custard. Restrooms on the same floor. Two women's stalls. Natural light, windows, clean. However, the small buckets overflowed.

The prices are out of proportion...but it tastes good -

This restaurant fires employees for being against the war in Ukraine. For peaceful rallies and statements on social networks. Ass-kissers, in a word. Putin will definitely not come to you. Relax!

We had a reservation confirmed in writing, but when we arrived at the restaurant that evening, the reservation was gone. Apparently, it had been canceled. The lady at the front desk was unfriendly and simply said "there's nothing she can do now" and wanted us to leave. The outdoor area was full, but there were tables available inside. The lady at the front desk didn't offer us the option of waiting inside until an outdoor table became available. There was no apology. Only after we complained and insisted on our table did they react and provide us with an outdoor table. The service staff was friendly, but they cleared away empty plates, for example, even though half the guests at the table were still eating. The food is good, but the value for money isn't quite right. The ambiance on the terrace is very nice!

Solid food for which you'd pay about €10 less at other restaurants than here. It tasted good, but for the price, I expected a bit more. I also missed a drinks menu. The bread was very tasty, but a spread or a special from the kitchen would have improved the experience and justified the 4 stars at this price.

We are indoors as it was a bit chilly outside. The decor was very nice, the waiter was very friendly and the food was good. It was fairly busy, but they still gave great service. I had salmon and my son had a steak. Both delicious. We shared a tiramisu for dessert it was big so we couldn't finish it but yummy. Everything was cooked well, fresh, and tasty. I would return again if I'm in the area.

Early May, we were lucky and were able to sit on terrace. Pleasant setting facing the park / river. Tables / terrace missing some personal touch. Food eg tartar, veal, saint Jaques absolutely perfect. Wine list limited. Overall good / great for Baden Baden.

I have to say I was really skeptical and had concerns about whether it might become a trendy store without quality... Was there for the Easter festival with my grandfather, who has been there every year for 40 years, and had the best steak in years...respect and thank you very much for the great hospitality

Here you can dine finely in an upscale atmosphere. The outdoor area in the middle of the park is beautifully located. A “must” for your visit to Baden-Baden.

Theft at Rizzi: I was in this restaurant two weeks ago. More appearance than reality. Apart from the fact that the prices are too overpriced for a simple meal, I was robbed on the terrace on the brightest day while chatting with my girlfriend at the table. In such a chic and upscale restaurant. I went in with a wallet and two hours later I walked out without a wallet. The service staff were anything but cooperative or helpful. I was in shock as I had never been robbed in my life and asked for help. However, the superficiality and disinterest was clearly visible. No service staff or manager moved. The cameras attached there also only serve decorative purposes. The police were later unable to see anything when the video footage was viewed because the camera did not monitor the entire room. This makes you wonder why cameras are installed at all. Otherwise it would have been possible to prove who stole my wallet. Maybe it's intentional, who knows... I will definitely give this supposedly upscale restaurant a wide berth. And advise everyone there to keep a close eye on their bags.

Terrible customer service. Had to wait for 20 minutes till a waitress came to us and took our order. Had to ask 3 times before the waitress brought us water. In the bill we got overcharged by a bottle of water, which was 10€. In reality we ordered 1 but got charged by 2 and the waitress refused to deduct it from the bill. Wouldn’t go here again.

Wir hatten einen Tisch auf der Terrasse zum Mittagessen reserviert, Samstag Mittag. Wir kamen (etwas früher als reserviert, 13 Uhr, anstatt 13.15 Uhr) und unser Tisch neben der Rezeption wurde uns freundlich zugewiesen. Soweit , so gut. Der Kellner war busy, Mittagsgeschäft, auch dafür hab ich Verständnis. Wir konnten also unsere Bestellung nicht gleich aufgeben. Dann kam an unseren Nachbartisch ein Pärchen mit Baby, ohne Reservierung. Sie schienen bekannt zu sein, waren „teuer“ angezogen. Sie wurden sofort und sehr schnell bedient, Ihnen wurde die Karte gereicht, die Bestellung wurde aufgenommen, die Getränke und das Brot kamen sofort. Wir saßen daneben ohne Alles. Ich kürze das Ganze jetzt ab. Fazit: dafür dass wir einen Tisch reserviert hatten war der Ablauf unterirdisch. Die Leute die unreserviert nach uns kamen hatten schneller gegessen und getrunken und wurden hofiert und uns hat man links liegen gelassen. Wir hatten 180€ Rechnung für einen Mittagstisch zu dritt, ist zugegebenermaßen kein Vermögen aber eben auch nicht nichts für ein schnelles Mittagessen. Man hat hier den Anspruch Gastronomie auf hohem Niveau zu fahren, die Ausführung ging gar nicht. Das Essen war ok, mehr auch nicht. Ich bin hier eigentlich immer gerne zu Gast gewesen wenn ich in Baden-Baden war aber dass war jetzt auch das letzte Mal. Wenn ich mich als Gast so abgefertigt fühlen will kann ich das auch günstiger haben.

First, the positives: The ambiance and service are first-class. Unfortunately, the food doesn't offer the right value for money. Typically Baden-Baden, it's more show than substance. The quality of the meat and fish is adequate. Overall, however, the taste is far from the level Rizzi would like to be in.

The Rizzi in the best location in Baden-Baden is always worth a visit, whether privately or for our business meeting. From spring to autumn, the wonderful terrace with a view of Baden-Badener Allee is inviting, and the interior rooms are also very tastefully furnished. The menu fulfills almost every wish and is varied, as is the wine list with wines up to the top class. Most of the time you will be personally welcomed by the warm boss and shown to the place you should reserve. The staff is very friendly and well trained. The food is cooked and served to a high standard and of the best quality. Therefore 5 stars for all areas!

Obwohl ohne Reservierung, hat die charmante Empfangschefin trotz fast ausgebuchtem Restaurant es möglich gemacht, uns draussen im „Zelt“ einen liebevoll eingedeckten Tisch zu offerieren. Wunderbares Ambiente, angenehme Temperatur und sehr aufmerksamer Service besonders durch Isabelle, die Empfangschefin, haben den Abend besonders werden lassen. Speisen und Weinbegleitung durch den Kellner Christoph perfekt! Wir kommen sehr gern wieder…!

Das Rizzi ist ein Träumchen Wunderschön,liebevoll,stylisch und extrem geschmackvoll eingerichtet.Die Tische sowie das gesamte Ambiente alles sehr harmonisch.Es zieht sich durch wie ein roter Faden.Die Weinkarte zeichnet sich durch exzellente Weine aus.Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig und grandios. Wir aßen 1 Loup de Mer in Salzkruste ganz fein und zart.Unsere Männer waren mit dem Chateobriand im 7.Himmel.Als dann noch zum Dessert eine Geburtstagsüberraschung von Abdala für meinen Mann mit einem Ständchen präsentiert wurde,fielen wir fast von den Stühlen.Es war einfach überragend. Das ganze Personal ist traumhaft.Vom Empfang bis zu den Kellnern sind alle sehr freundlich,aufmerksam und zuvorkommend,was heutzutage leider rar ist.Vielen Dank,macht weiter so! Unbedingt empfehlenswert. Wir kommen ganz bald wieder!

A beautiful place to enjoy. Highly recommend the Wiener Schnitzel and the Loup de Mer. Fine wines and interesting, delicious cocktails from a friendly bartender. The whole team is extremely friendly and listens to our wishes. We'll be back soon!

The Rizzi in Baden-Baden is simply a great place to eat really well and enjoy your time. The dishes are super tasty and creative, and you can tell that there is a lot of attention to detail here. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The relaxed, stylish atmosphere makes the whole thing perfect - whether for a date or an evening with friends. Definitely worth a visit!

They fired a worker of Ukrainian origin because he posted anti-war statement on his own FB page. Shame on the owners for supporting Russian war in Ukraine in this way. Look at what Russians have already done in Ukraine:

Bin Baden-Badener und eigentlich ein Fan vom Rizzi. Wollte mir heute ein schönes Mittagessen gönnen und hab mir ein Zürcher Geschnetzeltes mit einem Glas Wasser für rund 41€ bestellt und etwas schmackhaftes erwartet. Leider Fehlanzeige, da Fleisch trocken. Hat mich an ein Kantinenessen erinnert und war in keiner den Preis wert . Ich hab ganz anderes beim Businesslunch vom Rizzi erlebt - frag mich, ob der Koch heute motiviert war und ich habe mich nachdrücklich geärgert und dies auch vermittelt.

We have known the Rizzi for 18 years now and it has declined significantly over the years. Especially the service. The same cannot be said about the prices.

Very good food. The right balance between an upscale restaurant serving traditional dishes and a modern flair. We ate delicious dishes including the tuna and the bouillabaisse both delicious and generous.

I was thoroughly disappointed. The service was abysmal; staff were inattentive and unprofessional. The food was excessively salty, making it nearly inedible. Additionally, the dining area was unclean, which made the experience uncomfortable. I do not recommend this establishment.

Cold outside area. Boring vegetarian menus.

The outdoor area is also used in winter, in an absolutely non-ecological atmosphere and yet it was far too cold for a pleasant meal. The vegetarian offer was expensive and unfortunately couldn't keep up with the other dishes. The curry was boring, the pasta is more recommended but was cooked too soft.
