Ich liebe dieses Café! Fantastische Atmosphäre und toller Service. Der Kaffee ist unglaublich und die Kuchen sind ein Traum!

Wir haben hier ein wundervolles Frühstück und ein Stück Glück in Form von veganem Kuchen genießen dürfen. Alles ist mit Liebe gestaltet. Vom Eingang, über die Einrichtung bis hin zum Essen. Qualität statt Quantität ist hier die Devise. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach einladend und wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Hier ist man mehr als nur ein Gast und auch das Gespräch mit der Kellnerin war total schön. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch am Bodensee, steht das Café Portal natürlich wieder auf der Liste. Danke für die schöne Zeit bei euch und das leckere Essen 💚

Der perfekte Ort, um für einen Kaffee oder Snack in eine andere Welt einzutauchen. Mitten in einer Kunstausstellung bei harmonischer Musik schmeckt es doch einfach am besten. Sehr authentischer Inhaber, welcher noch eigene Werte vertritt und offen für Unterredungen ist. Absoluter Geheimtipp in Überlingen!

Stilvolles, wunderschön eingerichtetes Café mit veganem Kuchen. Ich hatte die Tiramisutorte und einen Chai Latte. Beides köstlich. Und nicht zu süß. Perfekt! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Der Außenbereich ist schön ruhig und liegt nachmittags im Schatten. Gerade im Hochsommer sicher eine Wohltat. Ich komme sicher wieder 😃

Sehr schön eingerichtet, aber der Kaffee war viel zu heiß und verwässert. Vielleicht waren wir ½h vor Ladenschluss zu spät, aber wenn man die Maschine schon gereinigt hat und eigentlich keinen Service mehr hat, soll man das doch bitte sagen. Lieber Leute wegschicken, bevor man Geld für nicht gute Getränke+Rezension kassiert...

Super schönes Ambiente, sehr freundliche Gastgeber, leckerer Cappuccino und SENSATIONELLE Schokoladenmoussetorte und saftiger Dattelkuchen. Schade, dass wir nicht jeden Tag hier sein können.

Ein wirklich einzigartiges Café, einfach spektakulär. Die Kuchen sind hausgemacht und absolut köstlich. Der Kaffee ist kräftig und intensiv. Das Ambiente erinnert an ein Kunstmuseum.

Ein sehr schönes, ruhiges Café. Man bekommt dort den besten Dattelkuchen, den ich je gegessen habe. Sie achten auf gute Zutaten,sind sehr freundlich. Schönes Ambiente und leckere Getränke und Essen gibt es dort Wenn ich wieder in Überlingen bin, gehe ich dort auf jeden Fall häufiger hin. Das darf man nicht verpassen! Danke für die tolle Zeit!

Ich mag es sehr, dass Vegan nicht nur eine Zusatzvariante ist, sondern die einzige, das ist konsequent. Alles dort ist lecker, das Ambiente sehr gemütlich, der Pianist, der manchmal spielt, ein Ohrenschmaus, nur - dem Betreiber fehlt leider die Freundlichkeit, ich empfinde ihn als unangenehm arrogant. Wäre das anders, wäre ich häufiger dort...

Wenn ich "vegan" höre, sträubt sich was in mir. Vorurteile? Die Furcht vor Unbekanntem? Hier jedenfalls fühle ich mich in einem sehr schönen Ambiente gut aufgehoben. An den Wänden hängen Bilder von verschiedenen Künstlern. Die Bedienung hat eine positive Ausstrahlung, ist sehr liebevoll und freundlich. Das alles hat ja nicht wirklich viel mit "vegan" zu tun, aber es erleichtert mir den Zugang zum Produkt "vegan". Und dieses scheint mir hier an diesem Sonntag(z)morgen besonders lecker. Ich wünsche dem Cafe und seinen Mitarbeiter*Innen weiterhin viel Spaß und Erfolg! Sie verdienen es.

Sehr leckeres veganes Frühstück in einem wirklich schönen Ambiente. Es gab sogar Live-Musik. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wir waren auf der Durchfahrt. Die Bewertungen haben nicht zuviel versprochen. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, sehr guter Kaffee und außergewöhnlicher leckerer Kuchen.

Von den guten Bewertungen überzeugen lassen, am Ende enttäuscht worden. Der Inhaber war sehr unfreundlich und wurde sogar beleidigend. Wir wurden erst nach der Bestellung darauf hingewiesen, dass es nur Milch-Ersatzprodukte gibt. Prinzipiell kein Problem, ein guter Service zeichnet sich allerdings dadurch aus, vorher darauf aufmerksam zu machen.

Ein veganes Café mit köstlichen Kaffeespezialitäten und selbstgemachten Kuchen. Absolut empfehlenswert – ein Besuch lohnt sich!

I stumbled upon this place by chance today and will definitely be back. It's such a lovely, cozy, and above all, completely vegan café. The cakes, drinks, and sandwiches are all top quality, homemade, and the service is genuine. My friends and I felt incredibly comfortable here, and the staff were great too!

Wow! This is definitely worth leaving the waterfront promenade for! A beautiful, cozy café. They also offer decaf versions of their coffee specialties, the homemade cakes are delicious, and everything is vegan. You walk in and immediately feel at home.

A paradise for vegans (and everyone else). We had hot chocolate with agave syrup, cappuccino, and tiramisu cake. There's a large and unique selection of hot drinks and delicious vegan cakes. Relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Beautifully located in the city center. Lake Constance is just a block away. And the best part, the cakes. They were the most delicious cakes we've ever eaten. The chocolate mousse and tiramisu mousse were delicious and light and airy. The service was also very friendly and quick, along with the delicious food. Highly recommended❤️

A very interesting, beautiful ambiance. A number of paintings add interest to the decor. Great seating. Also particularly noteworthy: the first cake that can be eaten while avoiding gluten, processed sugar, and much more. The allergen information is excellent. It doesn't just list foods containing gluten, but also categorizes them by grain. In my case, I'm very careful to avoid wheat, but other grains aren't a problem. This is possible here, making it a unique selling point.

We visited this café, attracted in part by the good reviews. Unfortunately, after our experience, we're still unclear why they're so overwhelmingly positive. There were only four cakes to choose from. When we entered the café, we were practically ignored. After we sat down at a table, a waitress came after a while. Unfortunately, she was already overwhelmed with our simple order. Anyway, we received our coffees, which were quite good. The cake was okay. Unfortunately, this place doesn't serve cow's milk with coffee. When we wanted to pay, we were ignored again; despite repeated eye contact, the waitress didn't come. It took some time, and it took another long time for her to complete the bill. That's why I didn't leave a tip. The waitress turned away without a "goodbye" or something similar. We won't be coming here again. We almost felt unwelcome. This café is also not suitable for families with children, as we immediately heard from our table neighbors. They did the right thing and left the café before ordering cake.

We had coffee and cake. The service was excellent. We stop by whenever we're in Überlingen. Highly recommended.

Extremely surprised by the delicious vegan cafe! I had the avocado toast, which was a very tasty mix of vegetables and a spread. My husband ordered the date cake which was very delicious and, above all, not dry. All in all a real surprise! Gladly again 😊😊

Unfortunately a tourist trap. It's a cute little café, but it feels very intentional and inauthentic. The food is mostly vegetarian or vegan, which I also think is good. However, baked rolls and croissants are sold very expensively, although you can order higher quality baked goods from the Diener bakery and the prices there are also more reasonable. Although the young waitress was very nice, the male waiter was not exactly friendly. I would have liked better quality food and no frozen food and a friendlier staff. Tip: It's better to save your money and go to Solid Ground or the nearby bakery for breakfast, they offer high-quality baked goods at a fair price.

We discovered the café by chance while strolling through town. Very nice, friendly furnishings and the picture exhibition enhanced it even more. The service was very friendly and attentive. The coffee and cake were a pleasure, even for non-vegans. We would be happy to come back at the next opportunity.

CASH ONLY Loved my visit to Portal Cafe. The owner was so kind and spoke great English. The tea selection was fantastic too. Price wise, I was surprised by how reasonable it was. Child and dog friendly too.

Unfortunately there is only oat milk here and the selection of cakes didn't convince us either. We also had the impression that the service was moderately happy about new guests. We then went to another café where there was a larger selection of milk and cakes.

First of all, it has to be said that the cakes taste incredibly dry. The prices are overpriced! Male waiter is rude and disrespectful, not a nice dining experience. Go to the Diener bakery, it offers significantly better service, better products and fair prices.

Once again on a pilgrimage and discovered this wonderfully warm café via Google Maps... A dream for anyone who follows a vegan diet, because you can order whatever you want with peace of mind, it's vegan! Croissant is freshly baked. On Sunday mornings a friendly person who serves you breakfast - what more could you want. Selection small and fine, ambience cozy like in the living room at home. Both the coffee (not just from the machine) and the cake (very unusual) were excellent. And if you are looking for a cozy and modern atmosphere, this is the right place for you!

Coffee is only available with oat milk (it's okay, but you should know). The base of the mousse cake was extremely dry (because vegan?). Otherwise a good experience, especially if you don't like classic tourist cafes.

A very well-kept and cozy hotel. Centrally located on the promenade and yet quiet. Since there are no small children or pets in this hotel, you can enjoy the lovingly prepared breakfast extensively. You immediately feel welcomed.

We visited the Portal Cafe for the first time today because of the good reviews and wanted to see for ourselves. We received a very warm and friendly welcome. The ambience is simply fantastic. Everything is coordinated and comfortable, you immediately felt at home. The food more than impressed us. The portions were very generous and the prices were completely reasonable. It was a real taste explosion. We'll come back anytime, thank you very much :)
