Yesterday we had an unforgettable evening in the Schneiger restaurant in Überlingen! We were immediately impressed by the cozy ambience and the warm, inviting atmosphere. As a big fan of savory cheese enjoyment, we got our money's worth: the raclette and the cheese fondue were simply heavenly! The cheese selection was perfectly balanced – a delight for every palate. We were particularly impressed that a round of freshly prepared tarte flambées was served during the meal. The tarte flambées were an absolute taste explosion - crispy base, perfectly coordinated toppings and ingredients of the best quality. You can immediately tell that great value is placed on freshness and high-quality products here. Not to forget: the service. The team was extremely attentive, warm and wonderfully unobtrusive. We felt well looked after at all times. For anyone looking for a special culinary experience in Überlingen, the Schneiger restaurant is an absolute insider tip. We'll definitely be back! :)

We had our Christmas party at Schneiger. That was a total failure. The first tarte flambées were served while they were still hot and were fully baked. Unfortunately, colleagues still had no food after two hours. When asked, it was explained that most of the staff worked the stands at the Christmas market. Meat fondue was served with raw potatoes and just a sauce, no side dishes. The other rounds of tarte flambée were cold and no longer seasoned. The service tried its best, but this couldn't improve the food. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right that evening.

Well, the food was okay but not great either. The Bruscetta tarte flambée simply tastes like nothing, rather cardboard-like. I just threw €10 out the window. The atmosphere was a bit strange, even the team that worked there (especially the man at the bar) were a bit annoyed or something. The service made an effort. So all in all, I definitely wouldn't go there again. I think it also has a strange “aftertaste” when you ask people for a Google review

If possible it would be no star. Because of a group of 20 people there was no all you can eat. There weren't enough fondue containers for us all to switch around. Staff seems rather stressed. Difficult! A cozy atmosphere is different... Addendum: 👏 Your answer makes me smile! Instead of reading reviews in the kitchen, there would certainly have been other approaches. Doesn't matter…. I think we agree that we won't/don't want to meet each other in this setting anymore. Do it well!

Doreen's welcome was not only extremely friendly and accommodating, but also warm. Whether tarte flambée or cheese fondue... the food was fantastic! The starter is recommended: "Three kinds of hummus with homemade bread" We will definitely come back!!!

A tarte flambée restaurant in Überlingen? Of course I had to try it. Let me say: it was awesome! The tarte flambée was excellent!! But unfortunately there were onions on it despite canceling the order. But I didn't want to cause any trouble and a few onions wouldn't kill me ^^ But the price was unbeatable at €11.50... The woman who served was very friendly. When I first looked at the to-go area (counter and sliding window) while standing in front of it, I was briefly worried that it was more of a snack bar and would look that way. But when I walked in I was blown away! The restaurant is super nice and very modern! The only drawback: the to-go window was open the whole time, although there was apparently no to-go sale going on over it (the counter was packed with other things, so it got a bit fresh towards the end, but was still okay). I also don't find music on the radio that nice (but it's very subjective). So the music itself was great and fit really well, but it disturbs the atmosphere a bit when advertising comes on at some point... You can also connect Spotify or something similar and do that over it. But all in one really great!

To good to go was discontinued by the company, they supposedly wouldn't have discontinued it upon arrival. Despite proof and despite prior payment. Driven for free for half an hour, of course no one will refund you. Sad and unfortunate, there would have been another solution. This may also scare away future customers. Unfriendly on top of that. Update on the owner's response: Thank you for trying, we have started the journey home and are back home. According to your employees, she spoke to you on the phone and said that there was nothing today and that was it. Very nice and quick service, delicious Federweißer. Unfortunately, the Dinnele we ordered didn't meet our expectations at all: sticky, partly burnt base that didn't taste like anything (any pizza dough is way better!), instead of tomato sauce there was a super thin, unseasoned sauce made from pureed tomatoes. Absolutely not recommended! We followed the great reviews on Google and were absolutely disappointed, won't be coming back!

Today I visited the Flammkuchenhaus Schneiger for the first time and was served a delicious tarte flambée there. I didn't have to wait long, the tarte flambée was served quite quickly. The selection of different tarte flambées is simply huge and it is simply a pleasure to read the menu. The taste of the tarte flambée was top notch, the service was very friendly and helpful, I felt very well looked after in the Schneiger restaurant and it is very cozy there. Absolute recommendation!!

According to the menu, all sweet tarte flambées are vegan, although one wonders how that can be with children's chocolate. After ordering, I asked several times whether the tarte flambées that were marked as vegan were really vegan, and it turned out that none of the sweet versions were is vegan, even though this was clearly signposted. Without my asking multiple times, I would have simply been served a vegetarian version, which is very problematic when people have severe intolerances. The restaurant was chosen specifically because of the incorrectly stated offer and in the end I was left without food. I therefore cannot recommend this restaurant and hope that the menu will be adjusted soon.

Wegen den guten Bewertungen sind wir dort eingekehrt um etwas zu essen. Ich bestellte einen Flammkuchen mit Kartoffeln, Speck und Schmand mein Partner die Dinnele als Pizzaversion mit Tomatensause. Meins war durch den vielen Speck völlig übersalzen und die Dinnele nichts besonderes.. Einzig nette war die Bedienung dafür die Sterne.

I can highly recommend Restaurant Schneider! The concept is simply ingenious - you can choose from 41 different tarte flambée/Dinnele variants and put together your own personal highlight. My partner tried the Dinnele and was absolutely thrilled. At the end we even took a to-go with us because we couldn't get enough. The service was friendly, the atmosphere cozy, and the quality of the food was simply top. An absolute must for all tarte flambée lovers!

After all the positive reviews...we had to try it. So... this or that Dinnele was absolutely not a hit in bags. The bottom was much too hard... the blunt knives had no chance (steak knives would be appropriate) and the feta cheese was missing. After repeated requests, I got a handful I had enough of it, which I then threw over it myself....of course it wasn't over-baked).I also told everyone this in a friendly way when I paid.But there wasn't really a reaction....."I'm not in that Kitchen....was just said. I also know that a service person isn't in the kitchen. I would have expected her to say: "I'm sorry...I'll pass this on to you." But maybe I just have too high standards???

Bad service, staff apparently very stressed and unprofessional. If you only want to serve guests in the restaurant, the owner should close the counter for street sales. Making people wait outside forever and continuing to ignore them despite shouting is not okay!

The tarte flambées are great. Simply made and very tasty. Dough and toppings are freely selectable. Price is fair. The mixed salad is very varied, not a lot of green like in many other restaurants and then 2 half tomatoes and 3 slices of cucumber as a splash of color. I still didn't think the salad was that great. It could be that one or two components come from the purchased bucket. Very friendly staff. Seating outside and inside.

Very nice service, good concept (flambée and dinelle can be put together according to your own taste), matching wines are also available... a good place for a stop in Überlingen - clear recommendation!

We tried the to-go version at the window. There were two different dinnele to choose from: a vegan version and one with salmon. Both tasted okay, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right compared to the surrounding restaurants. Although we ordered them warm and they were prepared that way, they were unfortunately cold. Card payment was refused. We also found the service staff to be extremely unfriendly.

So we absolutely cannot understand the good reviews. The tarte flambée tasted like it came from a very cheap snack bar. The thick version is very doughy and tastes really bad with sour cream/tomato sauce. Our 3 year old son took two bites and then didn't want any more despite being very hungry. Unfortunately, price/performance is not right here at all. Maybe the thin tarte flambées are better, but the taste is difficult to imagine. In addition, the ground floor is totally drafty, as the large window front is open at the front, so you're totally sitting on the train.
