Poppenbüttler Schleuse in Hamburg

I've been here so many times and eaten the delicious New Zealand lamb salad, but this time I was truly shocked by the price. Extremely so. Otherwise, it's very nice here, as always.

We had a lot of wonderful experiences; I don't know how many times we've been here. We had a great meal with everyone after the wedding. The outdoor seating area was very nice, but often very crowded.

Very good currywurst with fries.

Unfortunately, the burger didn't impress me – they could have done so much better with it in terms of flavor. For appetizers, we had, among other things, black bread with raisins – it was super delicious! Unfortunately, they ran out of bread when we asked for it :) Other dishes were nice and well-made, but my friends weren't impressed with the taste. On a warm summer day, it was quite warm inside. (The outside area was full.) There were four of us, and we only ordered water, beer, and four main courses. Despite the nice atmosphere, I found €160 for just four main courses quite expensive.

Yes, highly recommended. Upscale ambiance and food, yet cozy and modern.

The prices are a bit high, but the food is often really tasty, the atmosphere is wonderful and the waiters are super friendly. We ate a duck for two and had a really nice evening here. 🥰

Nice quiet place to switch off while taking a walk

Service artificial and over-motivated. Food (Matjes Hausdfrauenart and trout) a bit bland. The space inside is pleasant and there is a nice terrace facing the Alster river or the Alster weir. Vegetarian offer boring and modest.

It's definitely very comfortable to sit in, both inside and outside. The terrace is definitely worth it when the weather is good. The service is nice and the food is delicious.

Everything fits here. The food is great and the seating is really nice. The card is also very nicely done. Gladly again.

We were at the restaurant for a celebration. Very tasty food. We felt very comfortable.

The three of us sat in a bright, friendly and quiet place, the food from the daily menu was great, whether Asian, including a fish dish and boiled beef, everyone was very satisfied, and the portions were also good. Espresso at the end - excellent.

On our long walk along the Alster hiking trail we came to the Poppenbüttel lock. A nice hiking area with some attractions. There is also a great restaurant here. We didn't visit it, but it's now on our "to do" list. The outside view alone invites you to linger. We'll be back, soon.

Wir waren dort abends Hamburger 🍔 essen. Sehr lecker,es war aber wirklich laut. Am Nebentisch saßen junge Eltern mit kleinen Kindern,gemütlich ist anders.. Das Ambiente hat uns aber gefallen

Eigentlich wollten wir nur zu Burg Henneberg, doch der Regen hat uns in THE LOCKS getrieben. Gut einen Kaffee können wir ja trinken dachten wir. Doch das ganze Ambiente der Lokation lud zum längeren Verweilen ein, und somit entschlossen wir uns zum Essen zu bleiben. Vom Team wurden wir herzlichst Empfangen und der anschließende Service sowie das Essen waren sehr gut. Auf Wünsche wird eingegangen und leere Brotkörbe werden ohne zu Fragen aufgefüllt. Vielen Dank dafür sehr gerne kommen wir wieder.

Es war ein ganz toller Abend, mit sehr sehr schöner Terrasse die einen Blick auf das Wasser noch schöner machte. Wir hatten wunderschönes Wetter und nette Gesellschaft am Nachbar Tisch. Für mich eine Empfehlung und einen weiteren Besuch wert.

Sehr gemütliches Restaurant, sehr nett eingerichtet und ein sehr aufmerksamer Service. Sehr abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte. Aber: Wenn ich für ein Glas Wein (0,15 l) mehr als 9 Euro berappen soll, frage ich mich schon nach der Verhältnismäßigkeit

Sehr gutes Restaurant , allerdings nicht sehr billig. Die Speisen sind hervorragend verarbeitet und auf den Punkt gegart. Wer in Hamburg ist, das unbedingt mal versuchen. Dringend reservieren.
