The service was a pleasant surprise. Even though he was working alone, all the guests received what they ordered and were always greeted with a friendly word. All in all: AMAZING!

The food and the atmosphere are really excellent and fit perfectly into the HafenCity vibe. I'd especially like to highlight the friendly service, which is very attentive to guests. Next time I go to a concert, I'll definitely stop by here again. I'd gladly come back.

Ate lunch here with my wife. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Aftwards we shared a piece cake. Which was big and also very yummy.

I highly recommend it. Not only was the food really nice but the waiter was EXTREMELY patient and helpful, willing to make changes to plates to fit clients needs, potatoes cooked in a different way, plates to share, allergies… (witnessed this with several different clients that didnt speak german or english very well). Prices were not extortionate and atmosphere of the place was perfect!

Bruschetta with onions on the tomatoes is certainly unusual… The service was friendly. However, the €3 fee added to credit card payments is simply outrageous. I've never experienced anything like it, either in Germany or anywhere else in the world. What a shame! A restaurant in such a location shouldn't need to do that.

The fish and chips were very good. My wife had pork tenderloin, and both were excellent.

The delicatessen advertises the most delicious fish sandwich in town. After tasting it, we can only confirm this 👍😊 The price of €5.90 is very reasonable for that. The staff is also very friendly. Thank you for the advertising sign on the promenade, otherwise we wouldn't have found it! By the way, the cake buffet also looks delicious.

We went there because they're supposed to have the best fish sandwich in Hamburg. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me personally. Too many rolls and too little fish and salad. It was good, but unfortunately nothing special. The price-performance ratio wasn't quite right either. However, the staff was friendly :)

A quick announcement from the very friendly staff that it would take very little time, as they were freshly made. Then the thing arrived. The sandwich was nicely warmed, as it should be. Onions and lettuce on top, and, what do you think? In my opinion, it's the best fish sandwich in and around Hamburg. Thanks for the treat. The next visit is already booked. Feinkost Kontor Hamburg - where they serve risotto and shrimp dishes alongside a doner kebab plate for lunch... I thought, okay, there's a lot of variety, but I asked: where is the doner kebab skewer? They said, "We chop it up like this..." 🤪🤩 Then they tried to charge me an additional fee for "foreign cards" when I paid with a regular German Mastercard without my consent... okay... I've never experienced that anywhere in the world, so I paid in cash... And then an older "brother" came by and said, "What did you order?" Me: Risotto... then he ran into the kitchen next door without saying anything and said: "Bro, where's risotto? I made a receipt." Then a few other funny exchanges with the chef and waitress, all with "Bro." And finally, risotto came... which was more like rice pudding, with chanterelle mushrooms squeezed in somewhere... 🙈🙈🙈👻👻👻 Other guests had seen another bro walk by who said: "Don't you have any food?" The guest: "No, not for a long time." Reply: "Oh, I see." That's about the Hamburg delicatessen Hafenkontor... You should have at least taken a basic course in Italian cooking and service if you're going to curse yourself like that or take over a place like that? Of course, I barely ate any of the risotto. There were a few other funny conversations too, for example, he sold me a soda that was on display 😅 Oh well... There are other shops there.

Quiet square within the hustle and bustle of the Philharmonic but very close to it. The waiters are very friendly and the food is delicious and better value than in the surrounding area. The menu is extensive and highly recommended.

Today, I went to Feinkost Hafencity with my work colleagues for lunch. In terms of value for money, the food was truly beyond reproach; it's definitely worth it. I would have even ordered it again. The service was different. Numbers are assigned for orders, which are then called out by the waiters. The gentleman taking the orders was also friendly. My colleagues and I waited to be called, and when my number was called, I answered immediately. My colleagues can testify that this was the first time the number had been called. The young waiter with the longer hair was visibly irritated and complained to me in a very rude tone that we should answer immediately and that we were "making their work difficult." That's completely unacceptable. After I let myself be insulted like that, we were also unpleasantly asked to put our dishes away. Not a big deal in itself—but it's all a matter of manners. Such behavior doesn't come to mind when I think of a name like "Feinkost." It was uncomfortable for all of us.

We went there for the fish sandwiches and were absolutely thrilled! The sandwiches were nice and crispy and the fish was fresh, simply delicious! The service wasn't that great at first. We weren't served for a long time, only after asking, and our order was unfortunately forgotten. After 30 minutes, we asked again, and then the food was finally prepared.

Everything was really good, except for the toilets. The currywurst was excellent with a very fruity sauce, the fries couldn't have been better, and the homemade remoulade was absolutely fantastic.

Unfortunately, €6.50 for a large serving of fries is a bit overpriced. Considering that a currywurst only costs €9.90. Since the former owner is no longer there, everything you eat isn't as tasty as it used to be. However, the cakes are still baked by the former owner and are of good quality.

Never again were there and I ordered food once fried fish with chips and once pasta with salmon and a creamy dill sauce the chips were still raw and the pasta dish was a disaster there was no dill in the sauce and it wasn't creamy at all when I asked if everything was OK with the food I said no what so ever I was like the chips are raw ohh then I'll bring you new ones and then we said that there was no dill in the pasta dish and we were told I would bring some we got a bowl of sauce (a water milk mixture with dill just thrown in) and it tasted like Maggi I was really annoyed I'm never going there again

The food was average. Unfortunately, the service wasn't so good. Some of the food was missing, and the drinks weren't served at the same time, even though they were the same drink. The waiter took forever to bring the bill, and the bill was also incorrect.

I grew up with the saying, "You either keep your word or you keep your mouth shut," and then we stood in front of the sign on the promenade near the Elphia, which read: "The best fish sandwiches in town." "Well, we'll give it a try," was our somewhat reserved reply... and the surprise was great. Fresh, large rolls from a local bakery, generously paired with delicious fish. In our case, three rolls with crab, fried fish, and salmon. All three varieties were simply delicious. We also got to know the people of this wonderful restaurant a little through friendly conversations. A family business with a lot of heart, love, and friendliness, even among each other. Whether these are the best fish sandwiches in town is something tourists don't have enough time to try, but we won't bother looking any further; we'll just come back here on our next trip. We stopped by for dinner spontaneously and were very pleasantly surprised! We received a friendly welcome and were served very quickly by a friendly waiter. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. The mushroom ravioli was very tasty, and the chicken and vegetable stir-fry was beautifully presented in an actual pan and tasted delicious! We'd be happy to go back!

I swear, for a moment, I saw a gently smiling light on the horizon. Maybe it was Jesus. Maybe it was just the perfect drizzle of tartar sauce. Who knows? Hello! We happened upon this shop by chance – lured by the slogan "The best fish sandwich in Hamburg." I'm usually rather skeptical of such claims, but here I have to say: It's really true. The sandwich was crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside – just right. The fish was super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and of really good quality. No weird aftertaste, no tough texture – just an honest, really well-made fish sandwich. I'd also like to particularly highlight the homemade remoulade: creamy, spicy, and in the perfect amount. You can simply taste the love that goes into making this place. What surprised us in a particularly positive way: Although we're not locals (and it probably shows right away), we were treated incredibly friendly. Not the least bit condescending or impatient; on the contrary: We were welcomed as if we were true Hamburg natives. Relaxed, warm, North German-style, direct – just as you'd hope. The shop itself is clean, well-organized, and everything runs smoothly, even with a large number of customers. The value for money is also excellent – ​​you're really happy to pay for what you get here. In short: If you're in Hamburg and wondering where to get a real, honest fish sandwich – you've come to the right place. We'll definitely be back!

Had an amazing lunch here, I had the chicken schnitzel which was incredible. The chicken was juicy, succulent and fresh, the sides were also very tasty. They advertise the best fish sandwich in town, and it really is. The sandwich was crispy and thin when warm. Very well-filled and not much more expensive than other places. We also had super delicious fries. It's not a pretentious place. The service seemed a bit disorganized at times, a bit scattered, and could be improved. Nevertheless, friendly and very attentive. I've known this café since 2018 and have always enjoyed eating there – the lunch dishes were always delicious. My experience on June 20, 2025, at 2:20 p.m. was all the more disappointing. When paying, I politely pointed out an error on the receipt. The employee became loud, treated me disrespectfully, and charged incorrect amounts several times without taking my comments seriously. Eventually, I was even banned from the restaurant – for absolutely no reason. The server tried to apologize, but was reprimanded by a colleague right in front of me. This behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional – and, after years of loyal customer service, particularly disappointing for me.
