Berliner tor in Hamburg

Great place - good service, food and atmosphere but very expensive. We needed somewhere to eat late in the afternoon and had seen how cosy it looked the night before. Despite the time there was a nice buzz and it felt warm, cosy and inviting. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. The only thing that let it down was the cost - it set us back the price of a full meal despite only having chosen a few starters. Can highly recommend if you’re happy to pay.

Great atmosphere, superb food and very friendly service.

Nice place. The two of us left with a bill of €130. The ravioli were very dry – the venison was delicious, but somehow the price/quality ratio didn't quite match up. The place was correspondingly empty in the evening.

We ate there twice and were absolutely thrilled with both the atmosphere and the food. We had plenty on our plates, our food arrived quickly despite the restaurant being completely full, and we were a party of seven at once – that's not something you find everywhere these days.
