As others have said the food and service is great. It is definitely a bit pricey (the oysters for example the price you see is PER OYSTER not per order...) but it was one of the best meals I had in Hamburg.

We made a reservation at 6 p.m. and were there at 5:30 p.m. We were immediately told that we only had 90 minutes - FROM 5:30 p.m.!! That was a great start. Then they wanted to give us a small table between the kitchen aisle and the cash register. It was only with strong rejection from us that we were given another table. However, this was also at the kitchen (output). A big drawback is that the link to the menu on their website doesn't work. So we relied on what was posted online. However, this is completely irrelevant in terms of price, as the prices have easily increased by €5-8 more! We had rabbit leg + cod. Both dishes tasted good, but in terms of size they were more like appetizers. We didn't get tired of it at all. And €35 for a small piece of cod with a bit of broccoli, 1/2 carrot and some puree is very steep! €11 for a glass of entry-level wine - also completely overpriced! You have to keep in mind that the tables are tiny and you sit right next to your neighbor, shoulder to shoulder. We think that's very bad for a restaurant in this price range! All in all it was ok, but given the completely overpriced prices we definitely won't go there again! P.S.: I have attached the current map - here you can see the current exorbitant prices.

We went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday and chose the three-course menu. The fish soup was very special, the bread with the soup was unfortunately a bit hard, but the main course with the shrimp was very tasty. The service was sometimes very friendly. Sometimes there is a fake friendliness that seems very inauthentic. The dessert was very tasty and so were the oysters. We would love to come back for the oysters. The three-course menu is a matter of taste.

An absolute taste experience! The fish soup was to die for – so fresh and flavorful. And the lobster bisque was a treat in a class of its own. I would particularly like to highlight the perfectly fried calamari – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Every bite was a treat for the taste buds! Compliments to the kitchen and the friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!

I was there for a quick lunch and was very satisfied. I had the stuffed chicken leg with tarragon sauce. Really very, very well presented with flawless craftsmanship. The sauce made from jus, cream and tarragon was great. The French fries gratin served with it were great, as were the vegetables. I'll definitely be back.

Let's first say that the food was great. However, the service was mediocre. The wrong starter was served. You had to ask to serve the wine out. There was dirt in my drink. It was hard to get the attention of the waiters, too busy? It missed the flair of a real French restaurant, pity.

You immediately feel like you've been on vacation in France. Nice welcome, decorated like a bistro in France. We know from our previous visits that good food awaits us. There were four of us and we really enjoyed everything. First I had an avocado mousse with crayfish, then veal liver with potato gratin (very tasty) and pointed cabbage and for dessert an ice cream with orange fillets and Grand Marnier sauce. The other people's starters and main courses were also very, very tasty. The only negative point is the noise and good food has its price. We would love to come back.

Food, service and ambience clear 5 stars. Nevertheless, one star deducted from the overall rating because the prices are quite high. Certainly - the number of service personnel is entitled to appropriate remuneration. Nevertheless, our budget for a “normal” restaurant visit was exceeded. Regarding the food - expectations were fully met. A small point of criticism - I chose the rump steak with pepper sauce. According to the menu it came with fries. It was also served to us “prepared” in this way. From my perspective it looked a bit (I'll call it) reduced. Maybe my lack of expertise is to blame and the focus is only on the pure taste experience of the rump steak and not the appearance. No question - the rump steak was great. Still, the plate as a whole looked a bit sad. Another two small points of criticism - the toilet should be appropriate for a restaurant in this price range. And paper tablecloths don't belong in this price range either. In summary: lovely evening, great food, top staff, very nice atmosphere - it was an experience.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience given the disappointing meal I had. The food simply didn't meet expectations for the price. The steak frites, priced over 30 EUR, were not even average, and the salad lacked freshness. Additionally, the rabbit leg was paired with overcooked spaghetti - I mean spaghetti as a side in a French restaurant?Hopefully, this feedback can be useful.

Food was delicious - their foie gras is EXCELLENT as was their salmon appetizer. For dessert, I had the profiteroles. Service was good and the overall ambiance, while good, was missing that typical French flair that I happen to really like when I eat at a bistro.

A bottle of water is 9€. If you ask for a plate for your meager slice of bread you get told “no, you eat with your hands”. The prices are high for food that isn’t bad but it’s certainly not exquisite. Avoid unless you are strangely fascinated by French cuisine and its pointless allure.

Okay, ist vielleicht nicht fair, wenn man als Paar, das in Süddeutschland an der Grenze zu Frankreich aufgewachsen ist, einen "norddeutschen Franzosen" bewertet. Andererseits glauben die Hanseaten, wie zahlreiche Bewertungen zeigen, dass DAS tatsächlich ein Franzose ist ... Das Ganze beginnt bei der Bestuhlung, die bereits im eigentlichen Gastraum unfassbar eng ist. Schön, wenn man neue Freunde kennenlernen möchte - schlecht, wenn man zu zweit einen schönen, ruhigen Abend verbringen möchte. Doch es geht noch schlimmer: Wir wurden in einen fensterlosen Kellerraum geführt, in dem die Luft bereits vor dem Essen verbraucht war. Als sich dann noch eine 6-köpfige, russische sprechende Männergruppe an den nächsten Tisch ca. 20 cm entfernt setzte, war unser romantisches Diner bereits zu Ende. Zum Essen: Eine völlig geschmacksneutrale Foie Gras sowie totgekochte Gummi-Jakobsmuscheln bildeten das Entrée. Zum Hauptgang wählten wir beide Garnelen Provencale. Was wir bekamen, waren Garnelen in einer Art Café de Paris-Buttersauce. Durchaus essbar - aber eben nicht das, was wir bestellt hatten. Lediglich beim Nachtisch, einer köstlichen Mousse au Chocolat, hatten wir den Eindruck, beim Franzosen zu sein. Hektischer Service, der kaum durch die viel zu eng gestellten Tische kam und eine Rechnung von mehr als 200 Euro für 2 genervte Personen "rundeten" einen misslungenen Abend ab. Liebe Hamburger: Wenn ihr mal RICHTIG französische essen möchtet, fahrt nach Paris. Oder kommt zu uns ins herrliche Elsass (direkt neben Baden-Württemberg). Ihr werdet staunen, wie gut Frankreich schmecken kann!!

Three things you should know: - Staff looked confused at all times - The €14 cheese plate was truly awful, three tiny pieces of supermarket grade cheese served carelessly on a tiny plate? The nerve. - They silently added a 10% tip to the final bill, which I rejected. They said we had to pay it (this is a lie, tipping is the customer's choice) and when I asked what it was for, they said it was for the table. Do restaurant-goers usually sit on the ground unless they explicitly pay for their table? Forgetting for a second that the cheese plate was an absolute joke, this alone is enough to tell me they're basically just a scam of a restaurant. Don't bother.

Restaurant ziet er gezellig uit, echt Frans. Alleen je moet overal lang op wachten. Geen aandacht, geen service. Wachten op Menukaart, wachten voordat de wijn wordt bijschonken voorgerecht was bijna op werkelijk alles duurt lang en klopt de rekening waarschijnlijk ook nog niet. We hadden 2 maal plate du jour voor 60 euro. Eigen schuld niet goed gecontroleerd. Kijken niet terug op een mooie avond. Hadden zelf eerder weg moeten gaan. Advies neem geen nieuwe klanten aan als je het niet aan kan. Je verpest de avond van je klanten.

Yes, it is a bit expensive. But in return you get fine French cuisine. We had sunny outdoor seating and were served very friendly. A finely measured compliment included. ☺️ Both starters were perfectly prepared and the portion sizes were also reasonable. The calamari tubes were plump, perfectly grilled and served in a pan flavored with garlic, herbs and oil. The salmon carpaccio in lemon vinaigrette was excellent and melted in the mouth. The baguette was as it should be. Super fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Really very good bread! A perfect afternoon with a perfect meal.

The restaurant is located in a central location. It is comfortably furnished, but the lighting could be dimmed a bit. The service is super friendly, helpful and speaks many languages. Food is very tasty but really over-priced. If you get a cappuccino, for that money it should come from a top machine with real milk. Great restaurant but definitely overpriced for the quality.

Wir waren nicht das erste Mal hier und hatten Le Plat Du Jour in guter Erinnerung, aber heute waren wir nicht zufrieden. Die Kellnerin war angenehm. Die Vorspeisen: 1x Fischsuppe und 1x Lachstatar waren gut. Wir wählten die aktuellen Tagesangebote als Hauptgang: 1x Lammfilet mit Ratatouille war schmackhaft. Das Problem war die Perlhuhnbrust. Die Haut war zäh und kaum angebraten. Die Brust hatte sogar Keulenknochen und das Perlhuhnfleisch war rosa bis blutig und die Knochen hatten noch flüssiges Blut. Ein Teilstück der Perlbrust war fast durchgebraten und der Hunger trieb es rein. Der angesprochene Kellner sprach mit dem Koch? und die Antwort auf unsere Mängel war, das Fleisch sei wohl nicht ganz durchgebraten, stimmt. Es stimmt nicht, dass sich der Kellner/Koch entschuldigt haben, dafür war die Rechnung aber korrekt mit 145,50€, das reichte.

Dies Restaurant befindet sich am Rande der Innenstadt von Hamburg. Es existiert hier seit langen Jahren. Zuvor war der Standort am Gänsemarkt. Hier ist keine Laufgegend. Parkplätze gibt es im Parkhaus Große Reichenstrasse. Alternativ kommt man mit Bahn und Bus hierher. Ich bin hier des öfteren innerhalb der letzten Jahre gewesen. So lässt es sich gut vergleichen. Zwischenzeitlich hat es auch viel Personalwechsel gegeben. Wenn ich hier zu einer Gesamtbewertung komme, dann errechnet sich das aus der Lage, aus dem Ambiente, aus dem Service, aus der Zubereitung des Essens, aus dem Geschmack, aus der Präsentation und- sehr wichtig- aus den Preisen. Wenn man das macht, kommt man zu differenzierten Ergebnissen. Um sicher zu gehen, nahm ich für den Sonnabend, 14:00 Uhr, eine Reservierung vor. Die Mitarbeiterin nahm keinen Eintrag in das Gästebuch vor. Das konnte man aus dem Telefonat schließen. Bei Ankunft war das Restaurant nur zu weniger als der Hälfte besetzt. Nach Eintreten standen wir minutenlang neben dem Eingang, ohne dass sich ein Mitarbeiter um uns kümmerte. Zu guter letzt nahm ein Mitarbeiter sich unser an und wies uns einen sehr kleinen Tisch in der Raummitte zu. Er sah nicht in das Gästebuch. Der Tisch ist so klein, dass eine Flasche Wein auf dem Tisch keinen Platz findet. Die rotweiße Serviette auf dem Tisch ist hart wie Krepppapier. Es gab eine Speisekarte mit Tagesgerichten. Hier ein paar Beispiele: " Seezunge Müllerin mit Spinat und Kartoffelpüree" = 54,90 €, " Penne mit Spinat und Roquefort Käse" = 28,90 €. Wir bestellten: FOIE GRAS =24,90 €, Fischsuppe ( Teller) mit Rouille und Knoblaubrot = 14,90 €, Linsen auf Lachstatar = 19,90 €, Kalbsnieren in Dijon-Senfsauce = 30,90 €. Im Vorjahr kosteten diese laut einer anderen Bewertung 27 €. Das Foie Gras war eine kleine Scheibe. Brokkoli war verkocht, sah teilweise gelb aus und fiel bei Berührung zusammen. Die Kalbsnieren waren teilweise trocken (alt?) und sahen optisch dunkel aus. Die Fischsuppe schmeckte gut, das Knoblauchbrot schmeckte nicht nach Knoblauch und war trocken. Früher war es hier geröstet. Das Abräumen - obwohl der Mitarbeiter neben uns stand- dauerte 10 Minuten. Fazit: Preis-/Leistung passen hier nicht zusammen. Das Personal sollte besser trainiert und kontrolliert werden. Selbst bei der Zubereitung der Speisen klappte vieles nicht.

This is a long-established institution for "French Cuisine" in Hamburg. The restaurant is located in downtown Hamburg. Bus and subway stop nearby. A parking garage is also nearby. We had made a (always sensible) reservation for Whit Monday. When we arrived, as expected, there were difficulties finding our name in the reservation book. Cause: The employee has language difficulties! We were then given the small table for two people by the window. But this was immediately taken away from us by another employee. So we were allowed to sit at a very small table on the wall to the right of the entrance, hardly any distance from the next table. There was no space on the table for a wine bottle with a cooler. We quickly received the Sunday menu for the evening. The reduced offer was manageable. We ordered: Foie Gras (not listed) but supposedly available as a terrine: €21.90. It was then served as a single/sole slice on a plate. The second dish was veal kidneys in Dijon mustard sauce (€26.90) and accompanied by a bottle of white wine: Bordeaux Chateau PEYRAT, €36. Price comparison on June 6th, 2022: www.drinksco.de = 12 € The wine tasted good and was at the right temperature. The kidneys looked a little wrinkled, curled and dry from the outside. The broccoli was overcooked. The mustard sauce was perfect. The bread with butter that was served beforehand was good. The foie gras tasted good. The well-trained sales staff was remarkable: This starts with the offer for an aperitif to be paid for by yourself. Then comes the question of mineral water. After the meal comes the question of digestif, coffee or dessert. Where was the question about re-ordering wine, which we then did. What was annoying was the light, which kept reducing - as when dimming and then providing full light intensity again. We also had strong clouds of scent from the kitchen from the prepared FISH. Cause: Fragrances come into the guest room through the large opening of the hatch. Oh yes, in warm weather there is outside seating and you can also sit in the basement. We ate here again on Saturday evening. The restaurant was fully booked, luckily we had reserved a table. The service was friendly today. We each had three courses. The oysters were fresh, the loup de mer fried perfectly, the guinea fowl juicy. The wine, a Pouilly Fumé, was a bit flat. . In the end, everything came together. The Plat du Jour is a safe bet in Hamburg.

The food there is quite good, but the cuisine is nothing really special. Relative to the average kitchen, everything is incredibly expensive. The portions are rather small. The waiters constantly try to sell you wine, which is also extremely expensive. That's very annoying. The cheese consists of three tiny pieces, for almost €15 you can expect about three times as much.

Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist typisch französisch und gemütlich. Die Preise auf der Speisekarte SIND JETZT AM LIMIT! € 30 für eine überschaubare Anzahl von Kalbsnieren und € 49,90 für eine Seezunge im "Kleinformat" sind nicht mehr angemessen. Man kann die Kosten für ein Lunch nur noch im Limit halten, in dem man auf eine Vorspeise verzichtet! Eigentlich schade! :-(

Overpriced steak that tasted like rubber, red wine sauce was good. The seafood (salmon) was tasteful. Cramped, loud but still nice atmosphere. Overall disappointing experience. Felt outdated, too commercial and like having dinner in an average 3 star hotel somewhere in France -) Opportunity for improvement as the restaurant is quite unique in atmosphere and presentation.

Nettes Restaurant in französischem Retro-Design. Freundliche Bedienung die allerdings mehrmals (bei 10 Pers.) Nachbestellungen bei Getränken vergessen hat (Espresso, Cola, kleines Bier, großes Bier...). Der Ausschank bzw. Nachschenken des "Hausweines" und die Versorgung mit Wasser (Mineralwasserflaschen) erfolgte aufmerksam. Die Auswahl beim Essen ist hauptsächlich aber nicht streng französisch und bietet auch Tagesgerichte bzw. ein Wochengericht. Die von uns gewählten Gerichte waren von unterschiedlicher Qualität: Gebratene, kleine Kalamares (Vorspeise), die scheinbar lieblos und ohne besonderen Pfiff zubereitet - geschmacklich langweilig; eine Fischsuppe, der man ansah, dass sie aus dem Mixer kam oder mittels Pürierstab zu einer einheitlichen Konsistenz gezwungen wurde. Fischstückchen waren nicht zu identifizieren, der Geschmack nach Fisch sehr schwach - und von einem Geschmack begleitert, als wäre eine Mehlschwitze etwas zu lange erhitzt worden und leicht angebrannt. Weiterhin ein mit einem interessanten Pesto bestrichenes Rinder-Capacchio, das mit Karpern besetzt sehr lecker war. Die Präsentation auf allen Tellern war sehr einfach und ohne weitere Dekoration. Das Auge isst nicht mit. Die Hauptgerichte waren unterschiedlich. Eine der Portionen "Loup de Mer" kam mit einem "Endstück", welches ich einem Gast nicht als einzigen Fisch auf den Teller gegeben hätte. Noch dazu war das "Filet" zur Hälfte mit so vielen Gräten durchzogen, dass das weitere Verspeisen mit "essen" nicht mehr viel gemein hatte. Der hinzugerufene Ober nahm das Gericht zwar vom Tisch, meldete sich dann aber mit der Nachricht man habe die Portion schon zu einem Anteil verspeist, die ein Bereitstellen eines neuerlichen Gerichtes nicht rechtfertige. Es wurde dann zur Kompensation ein Vorspeisensalat mit Garnelen vereinbart - eine Idee aus der Küche selbst kam zu dieser Sache nicht Die Spaghetti mit Garnelen und Tomatensoße waren auf länglichem Teller länglich angerichtet, wobei die Sauce über den Spaghetti angerichtet und 5 Garnelen in Reihe aufgesetzt waren - wie ein 5-Zylinder-Reihenmotor :) - optisch eines der aufwändigeren Gerichte. Die Spaghetti waren Spaghettini, was geschmacklich den Meeresfrüchten in solchen Gerichten ja sehr zuträglich ist. Die Tomatensauce war ohne Raffinesse oder besondere Würzung und leider sehr säuerlich - da hatten es die Garnelen sehr schwer, sich geschmacklich durchzusetzen. Die Fleischgerichte waren gut, die Pommes lecker. Die Getränke waren angenehm gekühlt, die Bedienung jederzeit freundlich. Im Ambiente des Restaurants fühlt man sich wohl.

Hemos reservado una mesa para celebrar mi cumpleaños y nos quedamos muy decepcionados. Soy miembro del Fairmont President Club, un estatus que hay que ganar y debo admitir que nunca he tenido una experiencia tan pobre en ningún hotel Fairmont en el mundo. Para empezar, la respuesta que he recibido a mi pregunta de por qué servimos el champán más pequeño entre los invitados que nos rodeaban, fue que eran invitados muy especiales, que aparentemente no éramos especiales. La siguiente decepción fue cuando pedimos una copa de sauterne con nuestros desiertos, y el servidor vertió un líquido de color burdeos que claramente no era lo que hemos pedido. Colocó estratégicamente la botella con la etiqueta lejos de nosotros y cuando se le pidió que mostrara lo que había vertido, declaró que el bar no tiene sauterne y quería que probara lo que fuera que ya había vertido. Sin disculpas, sin comunicación con respecto a su decisión, y el gerente después de que me quejé nunca lo había reemplazado. Nadie reconoció mi cumpleaños y en general la experiencia fue bastante pobre. Llamé al día siguiente para hablar con el gerente del hotel y quienquiera que fuera la mujer que me llamó, carecía de cualquier capacidad de resolución de problemas, y no era con quien solicité hablar. La comida también era mediocre, el termidor de langosta se dibujaba en salsa bechamel y espinacas, rellenos baratos, que dominaban totalmente el sabor de la langosta. Creo que 2 estrellas son más apropiadas, el hotel es hermoso, por lo tanto 3 estrellas.

The seating in the beautiful and quiet outdoor area invites you to linger. I ordered one of the daily specials: pizza ham mushrooms, the edge was a bit firm, but otherwise very juicy and tasty. Good and fresh toppings, no extras needed, chili and garlic were available upon request. The service is friendly and quick. The other guests were all regulars, that speaks for itself!
