Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is completely absurd. Example: 2 (!) small, gratinated goat cheese thalers with two mini figs for 8.50 euros and exactly 3 bacon-wrapped dates for 6.50 euros is simply absurd, especially since everything doesn't even make a big impression in terms of taste left behind.

The focus here is clearly on tapas and good wines. There are only a few main courses on the menu. That should be clear to you when you come here. If you like tapas, this is the place for you. The Ponte is bigger on the inside than you think at first glance. In addition to a handful of tables outside and the small guest room on the ground floor, there is another guest room in the basement. Both guest rooms have a rustic chic. The basement has daylight thanks to a small atrium and is cozy. The upper guest room impresses with a large window front facing the street. Reservations should be made for larger groups. If you want a table outside when the weather is nice, too. The two of us shared five tapas + bread and were well full. There was also delicious wine and dessert at the end. We liked the selection of tapas. A mixture of classics (that you know from your vacation in Spain) and some excursions into other Mediterranean cuisines. Everything we tried tasted very good. The selection of wine is varied and we also liked it. The service was very personable. A successful mix: relaxed atmosphere, but professional and attentive. The wine was good advice. The price level is a bit high. If you consider that gastronomy has generally become expensive, we think it's okay. At least you get good quality on the table here. We paid around 130 euros for two people. Of that, almost 50 euros for wine that wasn't exactly cheap, but was really tasty.

The service was very good but unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right - without a main course you won't go home for less than 70-80 euros for two people. Some sauces give the impression of a ready meal. Otherwise very clean and nice staff.

Lunch menu: Pasta with herb mushrooms was delicious + service was accommodating. Pasta with mussels was ok. Mint spritzer over-the-top for the price. Long waiting times. Service very hard.

The food is usually very good. Sometimes the mussels are not washed and you buy them on sand. But it was only once so far. Everything else is very pleasant there.

Very tasty tapas, had a mix of vegetarian, meat and fish. Nice service, but you have to bring a little time. But it's worth it.

Food usually is very good here - that in a chilled atmosphere makes a good experience. Still, prices are quite high. Would be fine if service is good but: Service needs improvement in terms of time to reach out to customers / serve foods and drinks. We have been here a couple of times but left quite disappointed / frustrated the last time (spring ‘23) after waiting for the food for 2 hours and waiter being busy with hanging out and serving his friends instead of taking properly care of all his tables. Worst was getting served mussels without bread - last bread available for the day went to the table of friends of the waiter. (Btw they reached & ordered later than us). We complained, no improvement. In the end bill was also wrong - things were charged on our table that never reached us. Will take a lot of motivation to get us back in as customers.

A small Mediterranean restaurant in Bockenheim. Although they don't have as many varieties as authentic Spanish restaurants, they do have tapas, so being able to enjoy a wide variety of small plates is a blessing for Japanese people. The shop is not large, but there are private rooms in the back and the atmosphere is very nice.

It was a great evening. The tapas taste fantastic there and the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. We would definitely like to come back. Very suitable for groups as well as for two people.

Well, I don't know... quite nice, I would like to say. But completely excessive for the price. The name of the food makes you expect more than what actually comes to the table. It's ok, but not particularly well seasoned and not always exactly what's on the menu. Example: “Oven baked beetroot” has certainly never seen the inside of an oven. Gambas al Ajillo (3 pieces?!?) were, to say the least, an impertinence. Garlic in homeopathic doses, served in white wine sauce (or water???). The calamaretti was delicious, and the other tapas we ordered were also fine. However, there is simply not enough quantity and taste for the price. Wine is served in 0.15L glasses, which is only noticeable at second glance. I find that quite cheeky, especially when you pay €9 and more per glass. The service was ok and tried hard, but not good enough for the price... if I leave €150 there for two at the end of the evening, I expect to be asked at least once if I would like to order something else or if everything is ok " is. The atmosphere is quite pleasant! Overall, it's more of a dazzling place that we probably won't visit again. A pity....

Terrific. Also suitable for vegetarians. Price performance is okay. The pistachio ice cream is more of a chilled mousse and not bad. The price for this is high, so it's best to try it out for yourself.

My favorite restaurant in Frankfurt! Atmosphere and service perfect, selected wines and all the dishes simply heavenly. During winter, a 12-course seafood menu is offered every last Thursday/Friday/Saturday of the month for €65. Yesterday there was: 1 Gillardeau oyster (plain or with country cucumber and gin) 2 Blanched deep-sea shrimp with aioli 3 Braised cuttlefish in crustacean stock 4 Pulpocarpaccio 5 Mixed leaf salad 6 Mussels gratinated 7 Gratinated Breton lobster ragout 8 Grilled razor clams 9 Squid a la plancha 10 Grilled Black Tiger King Prawns 11 Baked potato with anchovy dip Plus a “Cremönsche” and a bottle of Soil Therapy (from Alsace, blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois and Gewürztraminer). Enthusiasm!!

It's a shame that my birthday meal was unforgettable in another way... unfortunately I had to rely on these good reviews. That's also the reason why I'm now giving my own review. We waited an extremely long time for our food (bread with aioli, starters, main course) even though we had reserved. It seemed as if we had been forgotten. We also messed up a lot (a total of over €400 for six people). The service was accordingly the worst we have had for a long time. Unfortunately, the food wasn't what it said it was on the menu. The tapas were micro-portions, but - in terms of price - had the appearance of main courses and, unfortunately, were not particularly tasty. The main courses (Iberico pork chops hard fried, dry pork but with tasteless espuma foam, Portuguese fish stew (mussels of the worst quality , tasteless), mussels in port wine stock/choriz - unearthly sweet like a dessert) did not help to stir up our sympathy for this restaurant. Accordingly, we really remember this restaurant…

Ich wollte meine Familie zu einem schönen, anderen Geburtstagsessen einladen. Das Essen war in der Tat anders – nämlich sehr schlecht. Die Qualität der Meeresfrüchte, insbesondere der Muscheln, machte ihrem Namen alle Ehre, war nämlich mies (große Schale, kleine Muschel). Das Ibérico – Schwein – Kotelett, war knüppelhart gebraten, der Skrei war trocken(und ertränkt in einer Sauce, die geschmacklos war), die Muscheln in Portweinsugo mit Chorizo waren süß wie eine Dessertsauce und deshalb kaum zu genießen. Über weitere Vorspeisen, wie zum Beispiel gebackene Zucchiniblüten (die komplett geschmacklos waren) und Ähnliches , verkneife ich mir einfach meinen Kommentar. Es war jedenfalls ein Geburtstagsessen, an das meine Familie sicherlich noch lange denken wird. Der Service war unterirdisch – bis zum Brot und Aioli haben wir eine Dreiviertelstunde gewartet, bis zur Vorspeise minimum eine weitere Dreiviertelstunde, kurz vor der Hauptspeise wollten wir eigentlich gehen ( ca 1 Stunde später) Hätten wir es nur gemacht… Aber Geld hat das ganze auch gekostet, und nicht zu knapp…

Super lecker! Ausgefallene Gerichte und Getränke, einige Fisch-Gerichte, aber auch für den Vegetarier oder Fleisch-Esser was dabei. Extrem freundliches Personal!

Essen gut aber zu teuer, Wein auch gut aber ebenso zu teuer. Gleichwertiges kann man im gleichen Stadtteil günstiger bekommen. Leider wurden die durch Corona belegten Parkmöglichkeiten in der Straße trotz momentaner Renovierung nicht wieder aufgegeben, dies ist unschön für Anwohner und Gäste der umliegenden Häuser und Geschäfte. Äußerst rücksichtslos. UPDATE 2 Jahre später... Die Stühle und Tische der Aussenbestuhlung wurden nun dankenswerterweise (aufgrund des regnerischen Wetters) von den Parkplätzen entfernt und auf den Gehweg verräumt. So hat die Straße wieder ein paar Parkplätze mehr. Allerdings wird der Betreiber öfter beim (mit seinem PKW) Falschbefahren der Einbahnstraße gesichtet... Als Anwohner ärgert dies umso mehr, da es ihm andere, ortsunkundige und Schilder nicht beachtende Verkehrsteilnehmer, nachmachen.

Ich war gestern das erste Mal im Ponte und es hat mir sehr gut gefallen! Angefangen bei dem sehr netten Inhaber, der uns einen Tisch auswählen ließ, dem schönen Ambiente und den leckeren Speisen, fande ich es einen rund-um gelungenen Restaurantbesuch. Wir wählten vier Tapasgerichte (vegetarisch und Fisch) plus Brot und Öl. Alle Gerichte waren lecker, vor allem das Lachstartare und die Babycalamares waren sensationell! Wir haben für das Essen und die Getränke (jede/r ein Glas Wein und ein großes Wasser) zusammen 65 Euro bezahlt, das fand ich angemessen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! .

Bestes Essen, toller Wein. Am besten vorher reservieren.

Wer essen geht, um das Ausgehen zu zelebrieren, ist hier richtig. Wer essen geht, um auch satt zu werden, ist hier falsch. Übersichtliche Portionen zu, wie ich finde, sehr hohem Preis. Der Service war ok, freundliches Personal.

Not a fan. Admittedly the food is acceptable but the price is WAY too high for what it is. had a starter and a main, still had to go eat somewhere else after paying a lot, just to sit on the damn street. wines start at around 40 bucks which is too expensive, higher-end, fancier restaurants also offer wines for around 30 so not sure why this place doesn‘t. Overall, a mediocre experience, not worth the money

Unser Besuch im Ponte war wie immer ein echter Gaumenschmaus. Das gebratene Filet vom schottischen Lachs (Label Rouge) mit gebratenem Mangold und Selleriepüree war ein Gedicht, genauso wie die Fischsuppe mit Garnele, Kalmar, Muschel und Steinbutt. Passend zu den Fischgerichten haben wir uns für einen Grauburgunder von Eymann und den Cotelleraie La Croisee entschieden. Beide Weine waren fruchtig aber nicht süß und haben so vorzüglich zu den Fischgerichten gepasst. Auch das Team vom Ponte verdient ein Lob für den unaufgeregten und zuvorkommenden Service. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Ciao und bis bald

Durch Zufall entdeckt und ich war total begeistert. Sehr ambitionierte Speisekarte mit tollen Kreationen. Der Koch oder Küchenchef hat viel Anerkennung verdient! Schöne Auswahl an Weinen, viele sich offen. Nicht günstig, aber jeden Cent wert. Danke für diesen schönen Abend.

Wir waren zu zweit im Ponte zum Abendessen. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich, zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und hat super beraten. Die Preise waren für das frische Essen angemessen. Die Gerichte waren geschmacklich sehr gut und interessant zusammengestellt. Wir hatten mehrere Zwischengänge und ein Hauptgericht bestellt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können das Restaurant weiterempfehlen.

Egal was man bestellt, es ist lecker. Man muss nur das Bestellte auch mögen. ...., aber dafür kann der Koch nichts, wenn man Pulpo nicht mag und er ist im Meeresfrüchtesalat ( wo er auch hingehört). Service freundlich, Weine gut, Lokal schnuckelig, was will man mehr? Das sehen andere auch so, deshalb vorher reservieren...

Sehr süßes Lokal mit leckeren Tapas! Wir waren zu dritt und haben abends einen Tisch reserviert. Die Tapas sind absolut empfehlenswert- vor allem der gegrillter Pulpo mit Zitrone und die Wildfanggarnelen auf gebratenem Spinat und Hummus . Die Besitzer sind auch sehr aufmerksam und gastfreundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :)

Wir sind echt begeistert von dem Essen. Man schmeckt die Begeisterung der Küchencrew für das Essen und die verwandten Produkte. Das Servicepersonal hat sich gut um uns gekümmert und verwöhnt. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

This restaurant turned out to be beyond expectations. Not only were we seated downstairs in a quiet room, but we had full attention of the waiter(s) who were able to explain every dish at length, which was great for our non German speaking guests. Ponte has a Portuguese flair, which is due to a founding partner who originated form Portugal. Many dishes, but by far not all, have Portuguese names or origins. It was explained to us that the clams come from Britanny and get here faster than they get to Paris. The mixed oysters were excellent, and the seafood Cataplana had plenty of fresh seafood in it. As opposed to a Portuguese fisherman's stew that I had tasted at a different restaurant, the broth here was very simple, and not tomato based. I was impressed by the wine selection, and the Rioja crianza I picked form the menu was not only perfect but also affordable.

Gemütliches, kleines Restaurant mit hervorragender Küche! Wir hatten Aioli mit Weißbrot, Nackensteak vom Ibericoschwein und Pulpo auf Fava, als Nachtisch Lauwarmer Schokoladenkuchen mit Zitronenespuma. Haben schon lange nicht mehr so erlesen gespeist!

Als wir unsere Reservierung, wegen eines dringlichen Termins, kurzfristig auf ein anderes Datum legen mussten, wurde uns mit Verständnis begegnet und kurzerhand geholfen. Aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben und so haben wir uns nach diesem ersten positiven Eindruck bereits auf unseren Besuch gefreut und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Karte ist vielfältig und bietet für jedermann leckeres, insbesondere wenn man offen ist für neues. Wir hatten einen Mix aus Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen bestellt und unserem Wunsch alles gleichzeitig aufgetischt zu bekommen ist man nachgekommen. Das Essen war vorzüglich und auch die Weinauswahl hält einige Besonderheiten bereit. Zudem ist auch der Inhaber sehr freundlich und um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Wer hier ein all you can eat Buffet für 15€ erwartet ist an der falschen Adresse. Für Freunde des Genuss aber definitiv einen, oder sogar mehrere Besuche wert.

Das Essen im Ponte hat mich geschmacklich einfach umgehauen! Von der Vorspeise bis hin zum Nachtisch, alles wirklich super lecker. Wir saßen draußen und wurden außerdem auch ganz lieb bedient. Wirklich großes Kompliment an die Küche und die tolle Servicekraft. Wir kommen garantiert wieder.

Nachdem ich am Freitag Abend eine Kleinigkeit essen wollte bin ich ins Ponte. Ich setzte mich im Außenbereich an einen 2er Tisch. Nach 15 Minuten und als ich gerade wieder gehen wollte, kam eine schnippche Kellnerin, die mir mitteilte, daß der Tisch reserviert sei und ich deshalb wieder gehen müsse. Ein Reservierungsschild gab auf dem Tisch nicht! Ich hab dann auf weitere Diskussionen verzichtet und bin gegangen. Ein Restaurant welches so kleine Portionen zu so hohen Preisen anbietet, sollte für jeden Gast dankbar sein!

Ich habe das Ponte schon zweimal bewertet und ich hoffe die Leser sehen es mir nach, dass ich jetzt nochmal etwas zu diesem Restaurant schreiben muss. Es sind Corona-Zeiten und damit herrscht auch in Frankfurt eine Ausnahmesituation. Viele Restaurants haben geschlossen, auch weil sie sich nicht zutrauen, ihre gewohnte Qualität in ungewohnter Weise (nämlich im Abholformat) zu liefern. Das Ponte zeigt sich hier mutig und hat sich entschlossen, seinen Gästen ein für diesen Zweck gut ausgesuchtes Menü anzubieten. Und nicht nur das! Zu Ostern gab es sogar ein Oster-Special z.B. mit mariniertem Lachs auf grünem Spargelmus oder Lamm. Wieviel Herz und Seele steckt in einem Restaurant, welches sich die Mühe macht seinen (Stamm-)Gästen eine solche Freude zu machen? Es sollte nicht unerwähnt bleiben, dass das Essen köstlich war und so zubereitet, dass es den Transport in unsere heimischen vier Wände sehr gut überstanden hat. Auch wenn das ToGo-Konzept weder für die eine noch die andere Seite der ideale Zustand ist, so sorgt das Ponte mit diesem Angebot dafür, dass die Gäste sich ebenso umsorgt fühlen wie in der Zeit vor Corona. Das finde ich sehr wertvoll. Ebenso wertvoll wie das Gespräch an der Auslieferbarriere am Fenster des Restaurants. Kurz mal hören, wie es dem anderen in der Situation geht... unbezahlbar.

Das Essen in dem Restaurant war gut bis sehr gut. Das Restaurant teilt sich in zwei Ebenen. Wir waren im Kellerbereich. Das Ambiente ist schön. Die Räume sind etwas klein. Wir hatten einen Tisch für drei Personen reserviert. Der Tisch war definitiv etwas zu klein (3Personen, Getränke u. div. Tapas). Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent. Die Weine waren gut. Die Weinpreise sind etwas zu hoch angesetzt. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist noch angemessen.

Entspannt, raffiniert, lecker. Ein tolles Erlebnis mit freundlichem und doch entspanntem Service, schönen Ambiente und fantastischem Essen. Besonders zu empfehlen - die Kräutersaitlinge in Parmesansauce und das Huhn. Einfach wunderbar, wir mussten sogar 2 Portionen bestellen, aus purer Verfressenheit. Der Sauvignon Blanc war auch super. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Absolut gute Qualität, alles schmeckt authentisch und frisch gekocht. Essen das glücklich macht! Bedienung kompetent und unaufgeregt freundlich, Ambiente eher schlicht dafür waren die Tapas um so köstlicher.

What can I say about the Ponte Restaurant ... friendly and sophisticated at the same time. The very nice Simon (sorry if I spelled the spelling) will welcome you competently, guiding your tastes to the discovery of some of the best European ingredients and dishes. No suelo ir a restaurantes mediterráneos en el centro de Europa. He nacido y vivo en el Mediterráneo, y me gusta mucho su cultura y gastronomía, basada en mos alimentos locales y estacionales. Pero esta vez las circunstancias me han llevado a Ponte, un restaurante mediterráneo en Frankfurt. Y debo decir que ne ha sorprendido gratamente. Decoración sencilla y acogedora, servicio muy amable. Platos de cocina española, portuguesa, griega, italiana, turca...Pero todos cumplen aceptablemente, ninguno decepciona. A destacar el pulpo, el magret de pato, y el humus.

Köstliche Tapas, schön serviert aber die Größe der Portionen steht in keinem Verhältnis zu stolzen Preisen. Die Portwein-Tonics und Weine, die wir hatten empfanden wir auch zu teuer. Ein schönes Ambiente und sehr netter Service.

This tiny restaurant offers a good variety of Mediterranean dishes, execution of which def deserves a recommendation! We had delicious scallops, earth-artichokes (basically sunflower roots which taste reminds artichokes), buffalo mozzarella w rocket and tomatoes, tartar from a Scottish salmon and green olives. As a dessert we had a chocolate lava cake w passion fruit sauce. Bread was delicious too! Overall a very pleasant experience! The wine carte is also great. The portions are small / medium depending on a particular dish so you better ask in advance and order not less than 2 per person depending on your appetite ;)

Ponte is for me a place you go to if you want to treat yourself. It is not big so make a reservation. The food and ambiance are just perfect. It is not overpriced but not for a low budget.The food is just amazing! You do not feel you are in a haute cuisine restaurant because its is just very cosy and no bla bla.Just relaxed staff But when you get your dishes you feel like you are part of the rich and famous.

Small place with great, fresh food! Menu is full of tapas. I was surprised on how little I got for the shrimp for the price but everything had good flavor. The vegetables I ordered were very good and appropriately priced. Simplistic, enjoyable place with quick staff! Recommend it!

We were passing by and starving so we decided to make a stop and have a quick dinner at Ponte. We live quite near and we always wanted to try it so tonight was the night we finally did it. The food is delicious but extremely overpriced for small plates (the Linsen Salat cost 4 euros and the portion was extremely small, they used a plate of soysauce to put the salat there, so you can imagine how small was). Anyway the food was delicious and the wine exquisite however we end up paying like 45 euros for a small dinner, something expensive for some budgets. But if you are in the neighborhood and you want to try this place, go for it, the food won't disappoint you.

We found this restaurant by pure coincidence, but the nice atmosphere made us look inside. They had space for 2 walk-ins, and it turned out to be a revelation. Looking at the menu its a mix of mediteranian style cuisine which worked really well. As it was the first time we asked for recommendations and were not dissapointed!!! Don't miss out on the razor shell clams & the pulpo (i have never had more tender pulpo and the portuguise chef even came out to explained how he prepared it)!!! The Wine was good and I would recommend paying a little extra which increased the quality very nicely, the glass sauvignon blanc was very nice! Service was very nice and gave some amazing recommendations which resulted in us reordering the clams.

A small restaurant serving Tapas and all sorts of little precious things including good wines. The waiters are very personal. Perfect for romantic dinners (as we have those here).

We've been here as a large group of 13 people, and we've had a great evening. The restaurant has a modern touch and great food. Downstairs, they have a rather nice outside smoking area. My recommendation would be the Albondigas and the Kartoffelstampf (mashed potatoes). They also have a fair selection of vegetarian dishes.

It is a quite tiny place and the best table for me is in the even tinier room at the back. Served are tapas or the owners' interpretation of those. Bite sized portion dishes. Quite well prepared, moderate pricing and very nice services not feels familiar and invites to come back.

I often visit this restaurant when I would like to entertain my visitors here in Frankfurt. The portions of each dishes are very small and rather high price but you can admit after you try due to very good quality. As atmosphere is very elegant and not noisy, I am sure you will like it.
