First, how do you get there? In the parking garage, take the elevator to the 6th floor, then turn left, and you should see the entrance. The ambiance is definitely top-notch, the view is beautiful, and it's beautifully designed, both the pool area and the restaurant. Although it was supposed to be self-service outside, there were people from the service department milling around taking orders. We only had cocktails, but they were good; I can't comment on the food. All in all, it was a very pleasant visit.

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing from the start. The reception was anything but friendly. You felt like you were intruding. The staff there behaved as if they were world stars on a red carpet—aloof, haughty, and extremely arrogant. No friendliness or even a simple smile? None. When you're treated like that before you've even sat down, it honestly puts you off anything else. Absolutely not a service I'd recommend, a waste of time.

We were celebrating a birthday party on July 12th at this place, and I’ve never experienced such poor service in my life. After we politely expressed our dissatisfaction, one of the waiters started raising his voice and acted confrontational. The atmosphere turned tense, and what was meant to be a joyful celebration ended with us standing in tears. I would not recommend hosting any kind of event here.

So, the location and the view are obviously amazing! But when you wait for a waiter forever to come to you (after waving like 16 times) and you end up waiting for another 40-45 minutes just for your placed order still not to have arrived, that's just horrendous service. After approaching another waiter (and I mean I literally walked towards him), he did all he can to get us the order himself. So hats off to him. You deserve to work with a much better staff environment! The drinks are ooookaaayyy and not entirely justified to have a premium price tag on it..but then again, I understand, you're kinda paying for the view, right? The Elsässer Art Flammkuchen was great, nonetheless. Two girls sitting next to my table just ended up leaving after waiting for 30 minutes. I did tell them that there's a self-service counter all the way back there, but whose idea was it in the first place to implement self service for such ridiculously high prices? This is literally a service function for the very wrong location. Also, why is there an entry fee, if you can't even get your staff in order? I'll try again in a few years, but thus far, this isn't recommended in my circle. 1 Star for sure, but that waiter with the wavey hair earned you a second star.

I'm standing at your entrance, ready to enjoy your supposedly "exclusive" rooftop bar, and I'm turned away because of a tiny stain on my Bermuda shorts. Yes, I didn't mistype: because of a stain. And then comes the audacity: "You're not allowed in with these dirty sweatpants." To be honest: What's the point? This isn't just wrong, it's a public shaming – an insulting, humiliating rejection in front of other guests! I came from a fancy restaurant, tomato sauce on my pants, and here I'm treated like unwanted dirt. The tone of your staff was disrespectful, arrogant, and simply abysmal. No conversation, no apology, no "goodbye" – instead, behavior that leaves me angry and ashamed. I'm appalled that people can exploit such a position of power and treat guests this way. If that's your goal, then congratulations—you've lost me forever. I will come again—not because I want to, but because I want to know if you can bring your store, and especially your staff, up to a tolerable standard. Spoiler alert: If not, I will ensure that this store and its management look different in the future. That wasn't a criticism, that was a public accusation—and I expect a clear apology. The wait between appetizers and main courses was far too long (1.5 hours). The food was delicious, but already cold. The drinks were good. Despite the intense heat, the pool was reserved for other guests, and it was brutally warm at the tables. The server was nice and tried to help, but my impression was that larger groups completely overwhelm the entire place. A nice location with poor management and completely overpriced for the service provided.

A highlight in a perfect location! Gaia in Frankfurt not only impresses with fantastic food and a stylish ambiance, but also with its unbeatable location. Located in the heart of the city, it's ideal for a relaxing evening after work, a special dinner, or a casual drink. The central location makes it super easy to reach, whether you arrive by train, on foot, or by car. The atmosphere is urban yet cozy – a truly feel-good spot in the heart of Frankfurt. The food is creative, fresh, and every dish is a work of art. The service is attentive and warm without being intrusive. For me, Gaia is the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a few hours while still being in the center of it all. A clear recommendation – I'll definitely be back!

So where do I begin... the view and the ambiance are very nice, especially in the best weather, it's worth coming here. But that's about it. The service is incredibly bad and we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks. The place wasn't even 1/3 full, which makes me wonder how they manage when the place is full. Anyway, the icing on the cake was that they rip you off with the drinks (especially the San Miguel beer). The menu offers a 0.33 l for €4. We got a 0.2 l for the same price. When I asked the waiter, he said he had already mentioned it to the manager, but unfortunately there was nothing they could do. When I asked if we could have another beer as compensation, they waved me away. I work in the restaurant industry myself and that's really not acceptable! Either change the menu or give people another drink on the house. But just fooling them like that is simply not acceptable! Do they really think you don't get it? We definitely won't be coming here again; Frankfurt simply offers too many nicer and more amazing locations.

Phew, the staff is arrogant. Self-service. The drinks selection is limited. Aperol, for example, isn't available in the original, but rather in the cheaper version. The seating is cramped. We were there for a drink and then changed locations. I politely asked at the cashier if I could sit at a reserved table for an hour until my reservation arrived. I was ignored and sent on my way with a hand gesture.

I've rarely been as disappointed by a bar visit as I was at this location. Even the initial experience was questionable: a €5 entry fee, only to then end up standing in an endless line at the bar – because there are simply no waiters there. If you politely ask the staff for a free seat, you don't get any help, but rather arrogant and condescending answers that make the evening even more unpleasant. Service culture? None at all. The concept seems like a bad joke: paying entry for self-service and unfriendly staff. Not to mention the clientele, which was neither pleasant nor inviting – quite the opposite. One thing is clear to me: I will never go to this bar again. A complete rip-off that doesn't even bother to hide it.

We definitely recommend visiting the rooftop bar. The ambiance is very tasteful and very clean. There are plenty of outdoor seating options without prior reservation if you arrive a little early. There are a variety of alcoholic drinks as well as a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks. That was really good for this heat. The food—we had tarte flambée—was plentiful and delicious. Overall, it's self-service. Larger groups were also served. Nice place to be.

What a shame about the beautiful location. We had made a reservation for two, but were greeted by the nice gentleman at the reception desk with the words "10€ please." We then paid this without hesitation. Perhaps after a long wait, we asked about the service in a somewhat annoyed manner... this gave the maitre de sale an opportunity to engage us in a discussion. Of the many meaningless things she said, all I remembered was that she has about 2,000 guests per evening and can choose who she serves. I have rarely experienced arrogance of such magnitude. We were hungry, but we stayed anyway. The food was okay, but nothing special. The behavior of the alleged owner dominated the overall impression and ruined the evening. Never again—not even for free.

A sobering experience – a shame about the beautiful ambiance. We stayed with you on Wednesday – our reservation was originally planned at the Greek restaurant downstairs, but since the weather was good, we spontaneously wanted to move upstairs to the pool. Fortunately, the move went smoothly – thank you for that. Unfortunately, that was the only bright spot of the evening. Because what followed can hardly be described as anything other than disappointing. When I mentioned upon arrival that we were coming with a baby, one would have expected that a high chair would be provided (see recent emails) or at least that the seating would be considered accordingly. But instead, we were assigned a seat directly in the blazing sun – for the baby, mind you. When we pointed this out, they improvised without thinking: Two cushions were placed on top of each other, and the toddler – 1.5 years old – was simply placed in the sun. Because the stroller would supposedly be "in the way." Apparently, it's less of a problem if a child overheats. So, a stroller bothers you, but it's good to know that there are shady spots for those without children or even dogs. We were particularly struck by a blonde lady from the service department, whose entire body language, facial expressions, and statements were consistently dismissive and abrupt. No comment, no solution – simply: "I can't do it." Then she turned around and didn't return that evening. Our inquiries and suggestions were met with looks you usually only get when you've just asked for something outrageous. On the contrary, the blonde older lady became impatient, as we wanted to rearrange/move things ourselves so as not to expose the small child to the sun. She responded with "No comment, okay." After 10 seconds of *solution-oriented action* on her part, stacking pillows on top of each other, the problem was still there. We were a very mixed, quiet group – two older ladies, two pregnant women, one child, and one baby. We wanted to celebrate a bachelorette party in a small group. But this completely unsympathetic reaction alone ruined our evening. The behavior of the elderly lady in question was not at all service-oriented or professional – rather, one had the feeling that she was bothered by our mere presence. We run restaurants ourselves and know: It can be stressful, and not everything always runs smoothly. But the way people are treated is crucial. And that was – to say the least – a disaster here. After all, we were the third table to ask for food at 6:30 p.m. – so it wasn't just an over-exertion. The fact that our drink orders repeatedly didn't arrive, the food took forever, and a white wine spritzer we ordered was brought dry and pure, despite repeated clarifications, unfortunately rounded off the experience. Repeated requests for a bottle of water were also ignored. Only later – probably because they noticed that we were about to look for a highchair ourselves – did other male waitresses arrive and try to salvage what could be salvaged. We would like to thank them – they were attentive and noticeably friendlier. The underlying problem, however, clearly lay with that one female employee who seemed disturbed by our mere presence or treated many women in this way. The all-male table next door at least occasionally received a smile. This kind of behavior is unacceptable – especially when a restaurant like yours wants to convey a certain flair. The Saint-Tropez and Mykonos feeling doesn't start with the decor, but with the service. Unfortunately, we were deprived of both. We had actually firmly planned a visit on Saturday with friends. However, after this experience, we consciously decided against it. It's a shame for such a lovely concept – but given the way guests are treated here, we certainly won't be coming back.

I made a reservation for the rooftop two weeks in advance. A few days before our visit, we were informed that the venue would be celebrating its 20th anniversary and that our reservation could not be honored. Instead, we were advised to purchase two tickets for the anniversary event, which we did. However, when we arrived at the event, we were denied entry – despite clearly stating that we had tickets as instructed. The staff was unhelpful and dismissive, and the whole experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. This lack of organization and communication is unacceptable, especially after following their recommendations. I would not recommend this place based on how poorly this situation was handled.

A very nice location with a great view of the skyline. As the sun sets and the night fades, you can enjoy some wonderful hours up here, but they can also put a big dent in your wallet. The drink prices, in particular, are definitely on the high side. Here, you end up paying for the venue with every new drink. Still, a great spot and definitely recommended. Food prices are also quite high. Since we didn't eat, we can only say that the food served looked very good every time, so it's probably worth the price!

I celebrated my birthday at Gaia this weekend – a beautiful venue with a great ambiance and a DJ who created a first-class atmosphere (truly 10/10!). What really saved the evening was a young employee with glasses who accompanied us throughout the evening and took great care of us. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but a huge thank you to him! His friendliness, attentiveness, and effort to accommodate our wishes were truly outstanding – especially because, unfortunately, we've learned that this isn't something to be taken for granted at Gaia. Despite prior arrangements, the organization was quite stressful for me as the birthday girl. Special requests were barely accommodated, and neither a midnight cake for me nor bringing my own cake were allowed – unfortunately, we weren't offered any alternatives either. There were also some minor disappointments with the food, as certain dishes, like pasta, were already sold out. Conclusion: The atmosphere at Gaia is unique and, with the right DJ, a real highlight. However, the organization surrounding special events still has considerable room for improvement. Without the dedicated staff, the evening wouldn't have been half as enjoyable – for that, a huge thank you again!

3 hour drive, our reservation was blatantly ignored, we went anyway on a whim. There were 9 of us and 4 of us were there, the other 5 arrived later. We told reception right from the start that we were 5 men and 4 women. He said he needed to see the whole group first and then he could decide whether we could come in or not. When everyone was there, the nice gentleman at the entrance didn't seem to like it and then he slapped his hand against his forehead and said it wasn't okay and we couldn't come in. Even though we were smartly dressed, he couldn't even give us a real reason because everyone else came in every minute after us. His boss would agree and wouldn't say anything different, even though we didn't even ask for her. We really would have loved to go in and would have happily paid 10€ just for the entry, but after such a reaction we are truly at a loss for words. If I could, I would give zero stars. There is parking available directly on site – super practical. The view of the skyline is simply breathtaking. There is plenty of seating and comfortable lounges, as well as a spacious restaurant area. Everything is beautifully and stylishly furnished. We then made reservations for 2 hours later and they still wouldn’t let us in. We ask 2 white women in the elevator did they have reservations and they said no. Very very bad service! We are a birthday group and came to Gaia with a reservation. We were initially greeted very nicely at reception and were assigned a table, but no one came to our table for over 50 minutes and asked if we needed anything. The birthday child received a cake from us, whereupon we asked in the kitchen if we could keep the cake refrigerated, then the lady at the counter said and I quote: what do you think of coming here with a cake, we sell our own desserts, if you give me the cake now we'll throw the way! You're not allowed to store it here, so you'd better find out more next time. It was clearly communicated over the phone that it was a birthday and we were bringing a cake. Such a cheeky answer and the poor service made us never enter this store again! This is not the way to treat guests, no matter how fancy the place is.

I would give the service 0 out of 5 stars! I reserved a table for 20 people 2 months in advance and also received a confirmation. When I got there before my guests, the extremely unfriendly lady at reception said that we should choose our own table, I was totally horrified! If I reserve a table somewhere, I expect the table to be there when I arrive. This was not the case! We had to move the heavy tables ourselves!!! push, that was really awesome, I've never experienced anything like that, none of the staff helped us. Of course there was only room left in the last corner, on the wall where the music boxes were way too loud. When we politely asked if they could please turn down the music a little, the answer was no. I couldn't even have a conversation with the person across from me, it was unbearable!!! The waiters kept walking past our table and ignoring us 🙃🙃 even though no one had anything to drink yet. Everyone had to go to the bar and get their own drink. Another negative point: you have to pay for your drink directly and that was complete chaos every time. So badly done. Oh yes, and entry fee of €5 is charged to everyone. I'm really very disappointed with the whole thing, it completely ruined my birthday. The ambience is nice, no question, but I can get a view of the skyline somewhere else. Thanks for nothing.

The Gaia Roof Bar offers a mixed atmosphere - from babies in strollers to pensioners, the crowd is very diverse. The atmosphere was fine and the music was cool. However, the DJ stopped playing at midnight, which was a bit disappointing. Overall a nice experience, but a longer DJ set would have made the evening perfect.

The place looks very, very beautiful. But the woman at reception was incredibly arrogant and incomprehensible. She didn't allow us to come in because one of us was wearing a German football t-shirt, but she allowed the other people who were dressed similarly and even worse to let in, including children. That was complete discrimination😣😣, perhaps against our dark body color. Otherwise the food was good, although there were several dishes online and not on site.

Despite the reservation and confirmation on the day of the reservation, there was suddenly an organization and they only wanted to let us in if we ate and drank a lot... but without a table 😡 the lady was very nice but it was really an impertinence in the morning to send a confirmation even though they are organizing an event that was previously unheard of. We didn't eat here, but the atmosphere had a cool, relaxed vibe. The bar is not as full for my taste (not that many whiskeys that I saw). For a nice summer evening, they were good. Service was a 4 because you have to get drinks yourself, but the bartenders are nice and pretty fast to make your drinks.

The location is beautifully designed and thought out down to the last detail, you almost feel like you are on vacation. However, the service was unfortunately disappointing. Although the waiter was friendly, he was rarely at our table. With more attention we probably would have ordered more. It easily took half an hour for our plates to be cleared away. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food. The salads and pasta dishes were good, as was the fish, but unfortunately the side dishes were only lukewarm.

If you even take entry on a parking garage roof and charge very high prices for food and drinks, you should be able to expect service ☝️The food has to be picked up yourself and is left at the pass for 10-15 minutes before an employee delivers it to you Brings tables from the restaurant area. A wine spritzer with 0.1 l of wine €7.50👻 and the fish plate with a dollop of tzatziki €33. So you should seriously question and revise the concept🙏🏻

When asked, they said only the four places were covered?! We weren't really happy with the place and were then allowed to choose one completely freely. We chose this in the area towards the pool instead of on the other side. The service consists of many young girls who are smartly dressed but apparently don't come from the restaurant industry. A please and thank you or an open smile was missing here. We felt more like a burden. The prices are absolutely okay for the location but self-service. A table set with napkins and glasses but then picking up the food with a pager seemed strange. Also that you pay €20 entry if you choose a table with a minimum consumption of €100 for 2 people anyway. Some tables next to us were served by other waitresses. I didn't really understand the reason. Unfortunately, the drinks tasted as if the bottles had been open for a while - i.e. without any fizz. It was always the same for 4 drinks. It is a place to see and be seen, which certainly appeals to many people, but a lot is “expected” here and not quite as much is achieved. The ladies at reception do their job but do not “receive” guests. However, the music was very good and the sunset was a beautiful view. However, I wouldn't go here again because of the overall package. My tip: better organization (also at the entrance), and the basics of catering or service schools. People talk about the restaurant on Instagram, but the self-service feels like a swimming pool.

Wow! Just W.O.W! Probably the most beautiful rooftop bar in FFM. The location is a feast for the eyes, I couldn't help but be amazed (everything in a boho-chic style) The service was very friendly, unfortunately you have to get the drinks yourself. For me that doesn't suit a fancy bar, but it's not the end of the world. I will definitely come back because we had a wonderful evening and can only recommend Gaia.

Optics yuck, service yuck. We reserved a table in the restaurant area. It was only mentioned at reception that a fee of €10 per person would be charged due to an “event”. After waiting 20 minutes at our table, we decided to leave the establishment because there wasn't a waiter anywhere in sight. When we naturally asked for our entry back, it was rejected with the reason: "I can't just give you back your entry because you had to wait a few minutes" and we were also told that as "guests" we had to approach the waiters. So all in all, a very poorly organized wannabe posh shop who has no idea what to do when it comes to service and customer satisfaction.

The ambience is really great, but the service and willingness to provide service was not acceptable. There was no service at the place, even though the first drink I got myself was visibly empty for a long time. However, other guests were brought a drink. The first time I tried to order food (which you have to place at the counter far from your table) I was told there was a power outage. On the second attempt, when the power was visibly back on, they said a repairman was on the way. These things can happen, but the employee's condescending and lecturing tone was completely inappropriate. When I returned to my table, my cigarettes had been cleared away (with the empty glass) I pointed out to the receptionist that I thought things weren't going well during my visit, but no attempt was made to clarify whether and who was responsible. Unfortunately the visit was a total failure - I left the Gaia hungry, thirsty and without cigarettes.

We ate here yesterday. The food is delicious, but we will never go back to this restaurant because the drinks menu only lists drinks that support the Israeli genocide in Palestine. We couldn't even drink water from the cold drinks. It's a shame that Muslim restaurants in particular continue to carry such brands. We don't want to visit restaurants that actively support people's suffering with their drinks. According to the extremely unfriendly waiter, the manager has no intention of changing either.

I've been a regular customer since 2016, and I always enjoy eating the kebab. I've also experienced it when it was cheap, and now it's gotten more expensive. If you're hungry, you can rely on it.

We enjoyed a spontaneous visit to Ponte in Bockenheim. You sit right on the street in the heart of the neighborhood; cars roll by. Everything is very authentic and somehow charming. Friendly service for 1.5 people, interesting menu, very small wine list; but you can find something. We choose a series of tapas that overall satisfied us: Warm, somewhat bland baguette with very good, apparently homemade alioli. Roasted cauliflower with (warm?!) hummus, hazelnut, a rather unique Christmas plum chutney, and parsley pesto; the best dish! Grilled octopus. Grilled calamari with alioli. Braised salsiccia with fried eggplant. Thinly sliced, very young Manchego with a sprinkling of cress. I could nitpick a bit about each dish, but that wouldn't do the evening and the atmosphere justice. Everything tasted good in its own way. All in all, that's a solid 13/20. The 2019 Riesling Grand Cru Moenchberg for €50 is a very nice wine. Overall, it's good value for money. We'd love to come back soon. Thank you very much! And of course, I forgot to take any good photos again...
