Sehr lecker, aber ich habe einen Stern abgezogen, weil das Pita-Gyros etwas kleiner geworden.

Einfach der beste Grieche in Hattingen. Immer wenn ich in der Gegend bin komme ich für einen Gyrosteller vorbei. Die Inhaber, Martha und Saki, zwei super nette und liebevolle Menschen bieten das beste und authentischste griechische Essen in Hattingen. Liebe Grüsse ✌🏼

Zum ersten mal dort bestellt essen war gut werde dort auch weiter bestellen.

Nach langer Zeit endlich wieder ein griechischer Grill, der in jeder Hinsicht überzeugt. Das Gyros war perfekt gewürzt, außen schön knusprig und innen saftig. Das Tzatziki schmeckt hausgemacht und ist eines der besten, das ich je gegessen habe. Auch die Pommes waren frisch, knusprig und nicht fettig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der freundliche und herzliche Service – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Die Portionen sind großzügig, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ausgezeichnet und alles wirkt frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Wer authentische griechische Küche sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Für mich ganz klar 5 Sterne und eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

Haben heute 3x Taxiteller und 1x Metaxa Gyros überbacken bestellt. Die genannte Lieferzeit von 1 Std. wurde zwar eingehalten, jedoch war das Essen kalt. Lediglich die Currywurst auf den Taxitellern war warm. Kalte, ungesalzene Pommes waren nicht genießbar, die Mayo wurde auf bei den Taxitellern vergessen. Der Beilagensalat beim Gyros war ok, aber das Dressing nicht wirklich lecker. Beim nächsten Mal wird definitiv wieder bei Steki in Bochum bestellt.

Sehr authentisch-griechische Küche, Mega !

Eklig. Die Soße war ungenießbar und säuerlich, das Hähnchenschnitzel schmeckte nach altem Geflügel, war gummiartig und teilweise nicht durch. Die Pommes auch schon scheintot und der Salat hatte es auch schon hinter sich. Ich habe mich telefonisch beschwert, als Antwort bekam ich: „Beim nächsten Mal machen wir was Leckeres.“ Das hilft mir leider nicht weiter. Ich hatte JETZT Hunger… und meine 17 € sind weg. Für die Tonne. Dankeschön! Ich esse dann mal Heute nichts. Update: noch am nächsten Morgen Gammelgeruch in der Nase und im Geschmack! Da war was völlig kaputt an dem Essen!!

Sehr gutes Essen und für den Preis bekommt man auch gut aufgetischt.

Wir haben bereits mehrfach Essen bestellt und waren bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Das Essen wird sehr warm geliefert und die Fahrer sind auch immer sehr nett. Die Gerichte schmecken auch gut. Vor allem die spinnen sind immer noch schön warm, was wir gut finden.

Einer der besten Griechen in Hattingen. Portionen super Reichhaltig. Vielen dank macht weiter so.

Ordered twice – both times a disaster – a guide on how to lose customers: The first time, I called after about 70 minutes. They told me, "You didn't order gyros, we'll process that first – the pizza will come later." That's just outrageous. So if three people order gyros after me, I have to wait longer? Okay... Yesterday, we thought, "Here's a second chance," and ordered gyros. After an hour, I called again. "We always have a delivery time of 110 minutes." But Lieferando clearly states 20-45 minutes. You feel totally ripped off. So if you're hungry, order somewhere else, otherwise you'll wait 1.5 hours for cold, limp fries with gyros and warm salad. Luckily, Lieferando refunded my money.

The food at Polis is really very good! Whether it's gyros or pizza, etc. BUT! I ordered food for delivery today, December 28, 2025. Delivery time was approximately 40 minutes. For the third time in a row, I HAVE TO wait AT LEAST 1 1/2 hours for my food. The food is great, but the delivery time (the last three times) has been an absolute disaster.

We were there until 9:30, but not anymore.

I ordered a gyro plate today, and I have to say you get a lot for your money. The gyro itself tastes good. The tzatziki gets top marks from me, but the Metaxa sauce isn't anything special. The staff is friendly and nice. Overall, it's a 4-star rating. Good value for money.

I had stomach cramps all night after eating there. Never again will I go to that place!

The food is always delicious, however, the wait time for online orders is far too long. I ordered online at 6:32 PM, and the website indicated an approximate delivery time of 45 minutes... okay, but then the confirmation email suddenly said 8:22 PM. At 8:30 PM, I called to inquire, and they said it was going out with the next driver... That really puts you off your food. And unfortunately, this wasn't the first time. It's a real shame; we won't be ordering from them again in the future.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it. I found it too salty and over-seasoned. I noticed a slightly rancid taste in the fries. Under these circumstances, I felt the price was unreasonable. I cannot recommend it at all.

You order and pay online, after 90 minutes you call and ask where the food is: "We haven't received your order, we'll finish it and send it to the next delivery driver." Another 45 minutes later, still no food in sight... how long are you supposed to wait?

I've enjoyed eating here or having them deliver for years – and I've never been disappointed. In terms of quality, this snack bar is at restaurant level – the meat is juicy and super tasty. It's never been dry or overly seasoned like at many other Greek food joints. The price/performance ratio is excellent – ​​I now live in Bochum and come here specifically to eat gyros or other Greek specialties – and I'm not the only one. The place looks unassuming from the outside and inside, but the food is truly top-notch. An absolute insider tip.

We ate there with three people. We had two taxi plates and one schnitzel hollandaise. The food was delicious, everything fresh, and the portions were very generous. The value for money is excellent. The owner even serves the food herself. All in all, 5 stars from us. Highly recommended!

Centrally located in Hattingen's city center, you first feel happy when you think of the good old Greek snack bars. We sat down for a snack at the diner and regretted it after a few minutes, as much as it makes you feel sorry to say it since you want to support small businesses. Still, hygiene is a factor when it comes to eating, and I felt like I was in a bad New York slum shop movie scene. Used dishes are piled up behind the counter at the back, adventurously placed next to the pizza maker, who apparently went back to smoke every now and then and then worked on the dough with his bare hands. I'll spare you further details. The store was (absolutely) packed. The staff calls the respective order into the room. Neutral, not cordial. Also not acceptable: We arrived five minutes before a large group of over 5 people and waited around 15 minutes for our clear order, while the group in question got their entire table full before us. I could hardly enjoy the food because I was slightly disgusted by the dishes and cutlery. It was average fast food. Definitely never again.

So the people who gave this place over 3 stars probably simply don't have any taste buds or simply don't know what good food means. Worst snack (Greek) I've ever eaten at! Taxi plate ordered: fries oversalted, currywurst tasted like an Indian curry, gyros greasy and disgusting. It's sad that the masses approve of something like this. Never again!

A good Greek snack bar near Hattingen Mitte train station. Even on stressful days with street parties in Hattingen and a correspondingly large number of visitors, the employees are always friendly and quickly bring the ordered food to the counter. The food itself is very tasty and filling and absolutely worth the price. The ambience is more practical and intended for quick on-site consumption or food pick-up.

I have already ordered gyros in flatbread twice and it always tasted very good. Above all, very good meat and delicious fresh vegetables, tzatziki is only served discreetly, which is good, because most people just use a lot of tzatziki to hide mediocre or bad meat. Fries and wedges also very good!

The only gyros here in the Bochum area that can keep up with the one in my home country. Super tasty meat, not too greasy, delicious salads. The dishes on the homepage are a little confusing, but once you figure out how to get Djuvec instead of fries, nothing stands in the way of enjoyment. Always happy to order there.

Unfortunately I can't recommend it. Ordered the Corfu plate there yesterday for €14.90. For the price I expect a grill plate to include tzatziki. Unfortunately that wasn't there so I ordered tzatziki as a starter for €4.20. A tiny little bowl of tzatziki arrived, maybe 3 tablespoons. Unfortunately the gyros and steak were really dry and the souzuki was tough. Kavalla again next time

We ordered through Liferando and have been waiting for exactly 2 hours. I'm excited to see when the food comes. There is room for improvement.

Ordered online, paid, order was confirmed and then received information that delivery would be with me in 2 hours. And it actually took almost 2 hours. Outrageous! Also outrageous that the information about the delivery time only appears after payment. The taste of the food was okay and so was the price. Despite not again.

We had dinner there yesterday. It's totally cold in the store, we're freezing. Unfortunately there is no toilet there either. Herb butter was hard as a rock. Food itself was okay. Long waiting time.

We ordered online and a time of 45 minutes to a maximum of 70 minutes was given. After 2 hours I called and asked what it looked like!? I was told the driver will be with you every minute. 2 1/2 hours after ordering, the driver finally drove up. I think that's an absolute disgrace.

The food is very tasty when it arrives. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for you to have to wait 1.5 or more hours for delivery, even if Lieferando says that the delivery (supposedly) will arrive in 40 to 50 minutes. This is not fast food! Most recently we had to wait almost 2.5 hours for our food and we live in Bochum-Dahlhausen, which is around the corner. It's frustrating when you order early on the way from work and then still have to wait such an extremely long time. Really disappointing! Really a shame...

Spontaneously attended the autumn festival as a couple. Self-service is not a problem for us. Order food and 15 minutes later two delicious gyro plates were ready. Since there was a market it took a while but given the quality you're happy to wait. Thank you very much. We would love to come back and can only recommend you. Good price-performance ratio. 👍🏼

Average chip shop you won't be disappointed. Prices are very reasonable.

After about 90 minutes of waiting, a completely wrong delivery arrived. The lady on the phone was unhelpful, unfriendly and uncooperative. Simply disappointing!

Sprockhövel, June 1st, 2024 Yesterday I was at the Polis Hattingen Ate a gyros pita pocket. First of all, I was a little surprised because the pita was a kebab. With gyro meat. No coleslaw but tomato cucumber green salad. And tzatziki. The taste is super tasty, just unusual. The portion size was more than enough and the price was absolutely great.

I had dinner there at "Polis Grill" yesterday with my best friend. In the beautiful town of Hattingen. My girlfriend had the gyros plate completely. And I have a bratwurst fries. And the food was sooooo good. It tasted delicious. The fries were delicious, the bratwurst even the salad and the saziki from my friend's gyros plate. The woman there who made the food was very friendly! 👍. Deserved all stars. Gladly again.

We took a trip to Lumagica in Hattingen and looked at the old town beforehand. To fortify ourselves beforehand, we randomly decided on the Polis Grill. We had pizza salami and a small plate of kebab. The portions were plentiful. The service was very nice. We enjoyed it wonderfully. Highly recommended.

Finally a Currywust fries like I love them again, the sauce is not sour, very tasty taxi plate, the meat is nice and juicy and not dried out. Come again

Das ist der beste Gyros weit und breit ! Ich kann es nur empfehlen ob vor Ort oder bei Lieferung, es erwärmt mein griechisches Herz ! Die Lieferanten super freundlich und die Lieferung relativ schnell man muss als Mensch verstehen das sie auch im Geschäft Kunden haben die nicht gerne warten deshalb alles gut !

Der Bauernsalat mit Hänchen schmeckt gar nicht und sieht ecklig aus. Auf jeden Fall nicht zu empfehlen.

Wenn wir Essen bestellt haben, war immer gut. Aber an dem Abend war der Wurm drin, die Pommes zu lange im Öl, die Kettschupp war nicht so lecker wie sonst. Aber wir kommen bestimmt wieder bzw lassen wieder lieferdienst

Keine sanitären Anlagen vorhanden und ich kannte das nicht, das man zum Schnitzelgericht die Pommes extra kaufen muss. Das Essen selber war Top!

Die Pommes waren bei Ankunft von schön kross. Ich kann diesen Imbiss nur weiter empfehlen. Und die Lieferung für einen Samstag top. Lieferzeit war angezeigt etwas mehr als ne Stunde und die Lieferung kam schon nach 40 Minuten ca. Super macht weiter so 👍🏻 ihr habt neue Kunden gewonnen.
