Plenum Stuttgart in Stuttgart

I had dinner with a group of over 60 people on Sunday October 6th, 2024 and was thrilled by the good service from A-Z (I have to say there were other guests there too) I can only recommend this restaurant. Thanks to the kitchen and the wait staff.

Hello, we have been here several times for lunch and dinner. On October 4th, 2024 we had tomato consomme for EUR 10.90, according to the menu we were charged EUR 12.90. We didn't get the pasta in the consomme either! I think it's a shame that people are so cheated with the prices. In our case it is 4.00 EUR. For me that means the prices of the dishes can be changed in the cash register system as desired!! Photos are attached.

Everything was perfect: perfect service, perfect (pre-ordered) food for a larger group and a lovely ambience!

We enjoyed coming here. The service has steadily gotten worse. The staff has no sense or sensitivity for proper operation and good service. In the summer we were automatically served outside, the last two times not at all, until we discovered that in a good establishment like Plenum everything is self-service. Of course that's ridiculous at these prices. When the waitress asked about it, she blamed it on the climate and the temperature. It's just that it was almost always the same temperature outside when we visited the plenum. The water for the tea was lukewarm and the ultra mini eclair was probably from the day before yesterday? The ice cream tasted terrible and was “almost microscopic”. The tables outside just need to be cleaner and you should occasionally remove the excess duck droppings that are everywhere. Nobody wants to constantly step on poop where they eat. Unhygienic and disgusting. Just at least try to achieve a normal standard state, instead of always making excuses and subterfuges, please do and create. Also, please put up a sign that you have to order inside yourself. The plenum is damaging itself. When we were sitting there, people kept just getting up and leaving after a long wait because none of the 2-3 waitresses out of a total of 4 unemployed staff standing around wanted to make an effort. Of course we could understand people's anger.

A location where you can enjoy delicious food or just a sundowner inside or outside on the terrace. The super friendly and well-coordinated team leaves nothing to be desired. My birthday party was exactly as I imagined it would be. All guests were completely satisfied. Many many thanks

Our event in the Plenum Restaurant was a complete success – the organization was first-class and everything went smoothly. The staff was extremely friendly, professional and attentive. The food was excellent and our guests really enjoyed it. Many thanks to the whole team!

Great shop, delicious food as well as cakes and a very great tea. Service was unfortunately very unfriendly and lazy and at lunchtime when there wasn't much going on. It's a shame otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Update this time there was a different service because the women were very accommodating, great service and you're happy to give a tip for something like that. I have now improved the stars in service and in general. And the cake selection always remains fantastic. And the toilets are very well maintained, a great shop.

From the initial communication to the perfect implementation on site, everything was simply outstanding. The team not only supported us professionally, but also with a warmth that gave us the feeling that we were in the best hands. The food was of the highest standard - every course was a little culinary surprise that delighted our guests. The service was attentive and courteous without being intrusive. Every detail was implemented with love, and all of our wishes were not only taken into account, but often even exceeded. We loved the restaurant every time we visited! Whether for business occasions or private meetings – the ambience is stylish and inviting. The location directly in the state parliament gives the restaurant a special atmosphere. The cuisine is excellent: from the quality of the ingredients to the fine-tuning of the taste, everything is just right here. The Plenum is definitely a place that people are happy to recommend!

Great ambience, great food. The Iwo served me very well. I didn't have to wait long and it was a relaxed atmosphere. Always recommended if you want to have very good food with longer conversations. 5 stars anytime.

Plenum has been one of our favorite restaurants for years. Whether it's lunch, coffee in the afternoon or a fine dinner in the evening - the dishes are sophisticated and very tasty. But what makes the location stand out above all else (besides the location) are the extremely good employees, both in the plenum and in the Ratskeller. Friendly, professional and have been around for years. Big praise!

Nice, actually stylish atmosphere. Unfortunately, with a few exceptions, in our opinion the female operating staff has seemed demotivated since last year, not attentive enough and the friendliness could be better. The portions of the generally good lunch menu are usually too small.

Food was good, but they really need to improve their service

My acquaintance and I met almost regularly on Fridays in the plenum, after the summer break, exception wise this time on Monday and what a disappointment we have never been served so poorly, inattentive, we constantly have to ask about bread and drinks. I almost felt sorry for the young server, but she was clearly overwhelmed, and the young waiter was cheeky and even rude!!! Conclusion never again Plenum so sorry I am because the food was very good as always

Staff tried hard but were completely unqualified. Parts have been forgotten many times when ordering. Friendliness leaves a lot to be desired and you quickly notice that you are annoyed. Food actually expected something different for the price! It's sad because the ambience is very nice but the rest just sticks with it.

All in all, there are many points that do not match the desired quality. Be it cobwebs in the corner, windows that haven't been cleaned or the roast that wasn't served to the desired degree of doneness.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Plenum restaurant in Stuttgart and it was an exceptional experience. Situated in a beautiful park, the place offers a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere, ideal for a summer evening. The warmth of the evening added a special touch to the ambiance. The quality of the cuisine was simply excellent, every dish was tasty and perfectly prepared. The service was impeccable, nothing to complain about. An address to recommend without hesitation! ---

Great location on the edge of the city gardens with extensive views of Wasser Fontaine. Back of the New Palace and Artists' House. We only had a cappuccino and cranberry juice. Both were delicious and well priced.

Nice location and the food was always good. Nevertheless, we won't be coming back. The staff, especially the dark-haired service manager, are unfriendly, ice-cold and in no way service-oriented. Their behavior was insulting and inhumane. The service manager actually manages to instruct her staff not to serve guests. There is no transparency when it comes to reservations.

As we have often done before, we had reserved a table. Unfortunately the service didn't have a good day today. After the main course - as always very good - an employee came with the bill instead of asking if we had anything else we wanted. We still ordered dessert. The order for an espresso was then accepted. But instead of coffee, an employee came and let us know that the next reservation would be coming soon. By then we had only been guests for a good hour. Our protest that this has never happened to us in any restaurant to date was met with no understanding. So far we have been able to enthusiastically recommend the restaurant. Unfortunately we were taught better today.

We celebrated our wedding in the Plenum - Stuttgart and had a wonderful celebration and an unforgettable time. From the first contact with Mr. Schmelz and his team, we always felt very comfortable and well advised. We were guided through the various topics in advance and all of our wishes were addressed. The service team was perfect. Everything was done very calmly, we were well looked after and our wishes were taken into account very well, for example when retrieving the different courses. We and all of our guests really enjoyed the food, the wine and of course the wedding cake and we received consistently positive feedback from our guests. We are completely satisfied and very happy that we were able to celebrate our wedding in the plenum.

Title: Poor service and unfriendly staff We went to this local to have a coffee. However, the blonde waitress completely ignored us for 20 minutes. When we got up to leave because we weren't being served, she looked at us and continued to ignore us without saying goodbye or asking why we were leaving. This is a clear sign that the work here is being done without any commitment.

The restaurant not only offers a beautiful atmosphere, but also fast service and a great view. The staff are extremely friendly, especially Chacky, who served us excellently. We had a great stay and would love to come back!

Very nice place- terrace in full sun with pretty views. However the service is terrible, we waited at least 15 mins to receive a menu and an additional 15 to get our order taken. I won’t even mention how long it took to actually receive the drinks! Shame, the restaurant seems delightful..

I am very happy with my lunch here! The food was delicious and freshly prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent price-performance ratio. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. Highly Recommended!

We chose the Plenum because we saw an attractive menu with wine accompaniment on the homepage. When the first white wine from the wine pairing was presented to us relatively quickly as we passed by (without an explanation as to what kind of wine it was), we were told when we asked that the aperitif had been removed from the wine pairing last week. This is described differently on the homepage; the price has not changed due to the removal. The courses and the rest of the wine accompaniment were simply left as we walked past and not a word was said about them. There were no questions as to whether everything was OK or whether we wanted anything else (sometimes we sat there for 20 minutes without drinks) and we had the feeling that the service staff had little desire to serve. Even when it came to paying at the end, there was virtually no communication, no one asked how we found it or whether everything was okay. It's a shame, the atmosphere is really nice and the food was overall really tasty. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par at all.

Zunächst haben wir Aperitifs bestellt und uns dann in Ruhe beide für das 3-Gänge-Menü mit Weinbegleitung entschieden. Die Aperitifs waren gut. Allerdings wurde uns der Aperitif, der zur Weinbegleitung gehört, ungefragt nicht serviert. Die "Kleinigkeiten aus der Küche" waren ein Brotkorb mit Oliven und zwei Aufstrichen. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass der Service erklärt, was das für Aufstriche sind. Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert waren ansprechend angerichtet und haben uns geschmeckt. Wir waren überrascht, dass die Speisen wortlos vor uns gestellt wurden. Bei einem Restaurant dieser Art hätten wir erwartet, dass noch einmal erinnert wird, was serviert wurde. Nur der Abschiedsgruß (Pralinen) wurden erklärt. Der Wunsch, statt des Espresso, der zur Weinbegleitung gehört, einen Cappuccino zu bekommen, wurde abgelehnt (à la carte kostet der Cappuccino 1,3 € mehr). Wir könnten den Cappuccino nur zusätzlich bestellen. Ich habe dann einen Espresso Macchiato ohne Aufpreis aushandeln können. Insgesamt haben wir zu zweit 168 € bezahlt. Fazit: Das Ambiente ist gut. Das Essen war gut. Der Service hat uns nicht überzeugt. Er war freundlich, wirkte aber nicht professionell.

Staff seemed short handed and served locals before foreigners would not recommend, very long wait times on busy hours. Food was ok but price/quality does not meet.

The lunch menu is an absolute bang for the buck. If ordered individually, the dishes are expensive. We were thrilled with the entire menu and the wines that went with it. And then the great ambience! We Munich residents have now found a permanent contact point in Stuttgart. One point deduction is for the service, which was very nice, but lacked an overview. It doesn't matter - we'll be happy to come back.

Very nice terrace with a view of the park. Unfortunately, it can happen that you are simply ignored. It wasn't just us. After about 10 minutes, the cheerless service staff tried very hard not to notice us, I organized the tickets for us myself. After another 10 minutes, I very clearly asked the service employee to take an order. The unfortunate ladies from Switzerland at the table next door were patient and waited forever before being allowed to place their order with a disdainful look on their faces. As beautiful as the location, the service is so subterranean. The only bright spot: the lady who came to collect the money was very nice.

Wir waren im April 2024 als Hochzeitsgäste im Restaurant, ingesamt 18 Personen. Der Service war unterdurchschnittlich um nicht zu sagen unterirdisch! Die Servicemitarbeiterin hat meinem Schwiegervater den Rotwein über das Glas hinweg auf die Tischdecke gegossen, ist dann ohne Entschuldigung weg gegangen, die Tischdecke wurde nicht gewechselt!! Auf die Anmerkung meines Schwiegervaters, dass er das aber nicht gewesen sei, gab es keinen Kommentar. Das Essen war überschaubar, das vegetarische Essen, (Ravioli) waren genau 4 Stück! Das Essen kam lauwarm, der Lachs war bestenfalls eine Vorspeise und kein Hauptgericht, der Rostbraten mit Spätzle war in Ordnung, es gab 1x Sauce für den ganzen Tisch, die nachgeorderte Portion, in einem Milchkännchen (von der Grösse) wurde extra berechnet! Sehr kleinlich. Der Espresso für meine Tochter und mich kam ohne Löffel und Keks, den Zucker sollten wir, wenn wir denn unbedingt einen brauchen würden von dem anderen Gast holen! Das ist sehr schlechter Stil! Beim Einschenken, war die Flasche leer, es waren ca. 2 cm eingeschenkt, die Servicekraft läuft weg, kommt aber nicht noch einmal um nachzuschenken!! Insgesamt ein überteuerter Besuch mit unmotiviertem Personal, das nicht einmal nachgefragt hat, ob alles passt, das Essen gut war, oder geschmeckt hat. Wir kommen bestimmt nicht noch einmal zum Essen!? Für einen Cocktail auf der Terrasse mit tollem Blick schon, aber Essen, auf keinen Fall!

We decided to go for the full menu (entrance, main, dessert) plus wines. The overall experience was great, there was piano being played live and incredible views of the Schloßplatz 😍 the wines and sent were very very good. The food however could be more tasty I was expecting a bit more of unique mixed of flavors that combined would be amazing. Would recommend for a special occasion like a date, anniversary or birthday.

We chose a table on the terrace that was in the nobody area because no one felt responsible for serving us. After a complaint and a long wait, we were served our coffee and cake. A large portion of coffee had spilled from one cup into the saucer. Nevertheless, it was served to us and only when we pointed it out did the waitress disappear and when she reappeared, she threw two paper napkins on the table, like you don't throw a bone to a dog, without a word of apology.

Good restaurant for a relaxed dinner. Good conversations are possible in this restaurant as the volume of the music is really pleasant - compared to other restaurants.

Also ich war in den letzten Jahren immer wieder mal zum Essen, bzw, Kaffee im Plenum in Stuttgart. Früher muss ich sagen war das Essen und der Service gut. Letzten Herbst (2023) war ich nicht mehr ganz zufrieden. Heute (13.04.2024) musste ich feststellen, dass weder das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis noch der Service gut war. Klar sind die Produkte teurer und der gute Service allgemein rar geworden . Dennoch finde ich, dass man nur durch die Umbenennung eines Kalbsschnitzels in ein „Souffliertes Wiener Glück“ erwarten kann, dass das Schnitzel nicht schrumpft, indem man mit sehr viel aufgeblasener Panade arbeitet. Beim Anschneiden des Schnitzels schneidet man rundum zuerst mal nur in die Panade ohne Fleisch . Sorry für mich eine „Mogelpackung“ Auch Vorspeise und Kuchen waren leider nicht mehr wie früher. Schade, die Lage des Restaurants ideal.

You can drink coffee in peace and quiet in this restaurant!

Trotz Reservierung war der Tisch nicht frei. Angeboten wo Urdeutsch ein Tisch in einer Nische, obwohl noch viele Tische frei waren, waren aber laut Auskunft bereits für den nächsten Tag eingedeckt. Rotwein wurde mit dem Hinweis auf einen „ Lagerungsfehler“ offeriert, war trüb in der Farbe und schmeckte muffig, nach Reklamation wurde er ausgetauscht. Weißwein war viel zu warm. Der Lachs auf Rösti war bedeckt mit Salat und Salatdressing, daher war alles durchweicht und schmeckte nach Salat.

Professional and very good restaurant. The atmosphere of the state parliament has a positive impact. "You eat where the country's politics are made" Accordingly, you notice the demand for quality and service. Complete professionals through and through. It's not cheap, but it's worth every cent.

The menu is quite a dazzler. Description and prices suggest modern and high-quality cuisine, what comes is disappointing. Cold pasta dishes, veal schnitzel with far too much soft breading and cucumber salad with mashed potatoes instead of potato salad. Price-performance ratio disastrous, you can eat better in every wine bar. The staff hides excessive demands with flaccidity. Never again.

Just wonderful! We were there in the evening around 10:00 p.m. after the ballet. Not only did we meet our two favorite ballet stars there, whom we had just seen on stage, but overall it was a very nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff, high quality and very tasty food. Great offer. The view over the small lake and over to the opera house is wonderful. For example, there is a huge portion of truffle fries for €13. The portion would be enough for 2-3 people, really tasty, the fries were crunchy, the truffle sauce was delicious. The greeting from the kitchen impresses with its variety of tastes, fresh and attractive presentation, without being exaggerated. An absolute recommendation from us, we will definitely come back.

A coffee that is great in the park, but, despite the sunshine, is not served outside. The cheese cream cake was frozen and had not yet thawed at 2 p.m. The price was on the high end despite self-service and frozen cake. A pity.

Wir waren als Gruppe mit 17 Personen angemeldet. Nicht zum ersten mal. Morgens haben wir Bescheid gegeben dass wir nur 16 sind. Die Essen hatten wir einige Tage vorher vorbestellen müssen. Dann musste Abends der eine Rostbraten mit 31,50 Euro auch bezahlt werden, obwohl er so auch auf der Speisekarte des Abends stand. Dann kam dazu, dass alle Essen nur lauwarm waren und die eine kleine Terrine zusätzliche Sosse zum Rostbraten, die unser Sossenkasper erbezen hatte, musste extra bezahlt werden ( bei den Preisen) . Das einzige was gestimmt hat waren die bemühten Damen im Service.

High-priced restaurant with a great ambience. The restaurant is beautifully located. The dishes sound great, but the taste was no more than standard. In addition, some of the people arrived 15 minutes earlier than the others. The service was attentive but rather slow. At this high price level you expect more!

After our trade fair appearance, we were invited to the “Restaurant Plenum” in Stuttgart. Great welcome with a small tasty tasting. Super nice sophisticated ambience and a great view. From the friendly welcome, loving service - to the delicious food. 10/10!!! I'd love to come back :)

The food is very good quality and very tasty.

We wanted to have a nice evening with good food. Aperitifs would be served to us in gnawed glasses. The white wine for the main course arrived promptly. Immediately the salad. However, there was a long pause before the main course. I wanted to celebrate my big birthday there, but I will definitely change my direction.

We were probably expecting too much or the restaurant was having a bad evening. On the one hand, we would have been happy about attentive service, which not only impressed us with its jovial, friendly approach. We would have liked to have been told what was beautifully decorated on our plates. On the other hand, the Tandori was very spicy, which wasn't on the menu, we weren't told about it when ordering and my companion simply couldn't eat it because of the spiciness. Overall OK but not premium as we hoped.

Exquisites kulinarisches Erlebnis im Plenum Restaurant Stuttgart Ich hatte das Vergnügen, das Plenum Restaurant in Stuttgart zu besuchen und möchte meine Erfahrung teilen. Das Essen ist erstklassig und bewegt sich auf einem etwas gehobeneren Preisniveau, jedoch ohne unverschämt zu sein. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist äußerst angenehm, und die Liebe zum Detail in der Präsentation der Gerichte ist unverkennbar. Das 3-Gänge-Menü war ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus, jedes Gericht wurde meisterhaft zubereitet und die Portionen waren perfekt portioniert. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich der Gruß aus der Küche, begleitet von verschiedenen Dips, sowie die Trüffelpommes, die einfach sensationell waren. Leider wurde das vornehme Gefühl durch das lockere “Du” des Personals etwas reduziert. Trotzdem überwiegt die positive Erfahrung, und ich freue mich darauf, das Plenum Restaurant erneut zu besuchen. Ein kulinarisches Highlight in Stuttgart, das ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen kann.

Wir waren spontan dort um Kuchen zu essen und Kaffee zu trinken. Beides hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Die Tortenstücke waren groß und das Obst sehr frisch. Besonders möchtet ich aber die Servicekräfte loben. Alle waren super nett und haben sich liebevoll auch um unsere kleine Tochter gekümmert. Trotz der gehobenen Atmosphäre also super kinderfreundlich auch mit mehreren Hochstühlen.

Gutes Ambiente. Service eigentlich auch ganz in Ordnung. Essen gibt es 3 Sterne da der Hauptgang lange hat auf sich warten lassen und schon im lauwarmen Zustand an den Tisch gekommen ist. Die Weinkarte ist ausbaufähig. Zu wenig Auswahl meiner Meinung nach. Im Großen und Ganzen kann ich das Lokal empfehlen jedoch gibt es mit Sicherheit bessere Restaurants im Raum Stuttgart.
