Wir hatten das 3gängige Menü mit Weinbegleitung. Sehr leckeres Essen und preislich total angemessen. Die Weine waren sehr gut, der Service und die Atmosphäre sehr locker und angenehm. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns schon auf die Terrasse im Sommer an einem der schönsten Orte in der Innenstadt mit Blick auf die Oper.

We spontaneously visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening and got a seat. We were then able to order other drinks quite quickly....2 glasses of white wine....then we waited a full 20 minutes for them...the bread was still a long time coming...but we could order the food....roast onion and a vegetarian menu....the cellar did its best and apologized for the long waiting times. What was noticeable was that the service line was not available and those present had a lot of idle time. The food wasn't that great...we told the waiter that too. He was visibly overwhelmed with our feedback, but was always friendly and tried his best. Here too, there was no corresponding line. Then a learner began to freshly uncover the table next to us. With white gloves, of course. On the other hand, another waiter did this without gloves... Unfortunately, something is missing everywhere here... what is provided does not correspond to the prices at all

Nice location, but unfortunately that's it. Long drink glass dirty, service was hardly noticeable and when we asked for the bill 4 times and waited 30 minutes, we unfortunately had to be annoyed. Too bad.

We enjoyed the sun with a drink here and despite the huge crowds on the terrace, I am happy to say that it has been a long time since I was able to observe such a nice, attentive and professional waiter at work! Hats off Ivo, you're doing a great job!

The Plenum in Stuttgart impresses with excellent cuisine, fast and attentive service and a stylish atmosphere. The lunch menu offers a great selection of fresh, seasonal dishes - ideal for a relaxed break or a business lunch. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the food and the very good value for money. If you want to enjoy an upscale lunch in downtown Stuttgart, this is the right place for you! A real gem in Stuttgart! The Plenum is not just a restaurant, but an experience! As soon as you enter you can feel the special atmosphere: stylish, modern and yet cozy. The menu is a great mix of regional and modern cuisine. The service? Absolutely first class! Friendly, attentive and yet pleasantly unobtrusive. You feel completely comfortable and welcome. Highly recommended, fantastically beautifully prepared dishes of the very finest. I actually haven't eaten this well in a long time. Big compliments to the kitchen. The service is also worth emphasizing! Very friendly and attentive. We didn't miss anything and a (small) problem arose, so they immediately tried to accommodate our wishes. I can highly recommend the Plenum, wonderful food in a wonderful ambience and excellent service. Thank you for that.

Le fameux Schnitzel préparé dans les règles de l’art. 4 étoiles au lieu de 5, car un effort est à faire sur la qualité du service. Ce dernier fut fait sans sourire, de façon mécanique. Avec une méconnaissance certaine des produits et vins servis. C’est dommage.

Very well-intentioned 3 stars for an incredibly competent and nice service boss who saved the entire meeting with her warm manner. The food wasn't particularly good, my tartare was stringy, and the sea buckthorn starter was way too sour. Unfortunately, the main course and desserts were not convincing either. Location and ambience are nice. Unfortunately, the service was also blessed with 0 timing, we had already waited 35 minutes for the main course and were then asked whether we should "call it up". Everything should be trimmed to a high level, unfortunately the basics are missing to be able to play at a mid-range level. Very accommodating and communicative service manager saved the evening with a lot of sensitivity. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back again. It's a shame

A “must have” experience in Stuttgart. Ideal to celebrate something with family. Was highly recommended to me by friends. I will probably eat with friends and colleagues in the plenum more often.

Cool location and great service, but despite advance notice that my wife and I were vegan and the confirmation that we would also make vegan dishes - there was a delicious but mini-small portion of vegetables. We had to stock up on fries to even get close to full. In the heart of the state capital, a not even “one-dimensional” vegan offer - but the service was lovely 💓

You can clearly see that there is a lack of trained staff or professional guidance of the temporary workers, we saw it with "humor" and each topic in itself is not a problem, but overall the picture emerges that does not do justice to the demands of the restaurant; Examples: - After we explained when ordering at 6:20 p.m. that we had to go to the opera next door at 7:30 p.m., we ordered individual dishes instead of a menu on the advice of the waitress due to time constraints. When these still hadn't been served at 7:20 p.m., instead of suggesting a solution, the only question was whether the food should be thrown away now. We then had to suggest that we keep the food and come back after the opera. - When we returned, some of the glasses that had been used two hours earlier were on the table and some of them were cleared away. - There were no more napkins; When we asked if we could get a napkin, they actually brought 1 napkin for 3 people. Cutlery is also only available upon request after the food has already been served. - Not critical, but in an upscale restaurant there is definitely potential for improvement: water bottles were placed on the table without comment, here you could also pour something or at least offer it. Similar: When you arrive, you could briefly point out where the cloakroom is or even offer to store things there. - Of the 3 main dishes, only one was delivered as ordered, the other two dishes were incorrectly noted. - What was positive was that they at least recognized the series of unfortunate circumstances and offered a voucher for 3 coffees and cakes as compensation. - The operation vs. Unfortunately, the cake counter could only answer the question about the types of cake with a “no idea”. The lack of staff in the catering industry is certainly a challenge, but in an upscale restaurant you should find a better solution.

While eating, look into a beautiful part of the castle park and sometimes meet one or two members of the state parliament. Inspiring!

Today there were nine of us at lunchtime in the Plenum 1961 restaurant. The table reserved for us was elegantly set. Although the restaurant was sometimes full with larger parties, we were served quickly and, above all, in a friendly manner. The lunch menu offered a varied, unusual selection. The spices used were particularly striking. The cappuccino particularly surprised us. Each of us had a different image printed on the milk foam. We can only recommend the restaurant and will definitely visit it again. "The healthy one"

After a somewhat bumpy reception because we came unannounced with a larger group, waiter Ivo came and made everything right again! Extremely friendly and competent! Food was delicious, value for money was very good!

The Plenum, which is centrally located on Schlossplatz, offers a beautiful location with a timeless ambience. The service is very accommodating and responded to my wishes. The Plenum also offers a variety of cocktails, which are prepared at the large bar. The food was an absolute 11/10 and was beautifully presented. Everything is rounded off by the beautiful music, where the volume is very well balanced. The Plenum will be one of those restaurants that I will visit again and again as soon as I am in Stuttgart.

A wonderful restaurant that welcomes you with a pretty bar and is adorned with a wonderful glass wall that offers a fantastic view of the castle gardens. The interior design contributes to a pleasant, romantic and beautiful feeling, which is complemented by the excellently selected music. The selection of food is very varied and incredibly delicate! The drinks are equally extravagant and very enjoyable. The food, like the drinks, is lovingly decorated because the eye eats with it. We were served by the friendly Ivo, who is very competent, funny, friendly, but still professional. With his constant smile he spreads a good mood, which makes the visit even more fun. It was a wonderful evening and I recommend everyone to visit this special restaurant! Best regards!

Overall, the Plenum is a place you should definitely visit. Not only does it offer excellent food, but also an unforgettable evening in wonderful surroundings. The Plenum Restaurant is a real insider tip! Beautiful ambience, super friendly staff and first-class food. The main course was a highlight. And there was also a children's menu for my daughter to color in. Absolutely recommended – we would love to come back!

Basically a nice location, but a stiff, inflexible and purely monetary-oriented service as well as a less lively audience reduce the modern presentation to absurdity. There would be a lot more in it but there are also other restaurants in Stuttgart...

Disappointing and not customer friendly We made a special reservation for six people early in the evening to enjoy the advertised menu - only to be told on site that it was "sold out" and that we should instead order the dishes individually and at a higher price. If the food is available, the menu price should also apply - otherwise it makes little sense. Something like this simply seems like a rip-off and shows poor customer service. Very disappointing - we definitely won't come back here.

The Plenum Restaurant is highly recommended – not only for adults, but also for families! The atmosphere is stylish and cozy, and the staff was particularly child-friendly and attentive. My daughter had the best baptism in the plenum, thanks again to the whole team.

We went to dinner in the plenum on Saturday evening after an opera performance at 8 p.m. First we were ignored for about 15 minutes. When my wife turned to the waiter, 5 minutes later we were given at least a bottle of water and were then allowed to order. As a starter we shared a tartare. The tartare tasted strange, but okay - tartare can be seasoned differently. The highlight was the main course tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms! A stuck together pile of noodles, indefinable sauce and fried rubbery mushrooms from a jar. We skipped the usual espresso and paid. Is almost €100 too much for this experience? Clearly!

A small but fine selection of dishes for lunch and dinner. Very good service inside, sometimes a bit chaotic outside on the terrace. The ambience outside is wonderful with a view of the castle, opera and lake. A bit sterile inside, but dignified. Particularly noteworthy are your 1a cakes and cakes!

We celebrated the completion of our studies with a total of 80 people and are satisfied overall. The location was perfect for the occasion thanks to its central location and elegant atmosphere. The food offered something for every taste: the choices were salmon, onion roast and a vegan curry. All dishes tasted convincing and were praised by the guests. However, the portions (especially of the curry) are rather small. The cost of around €70 per person seems more than fair, as food and drinks as well as use of the location from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. were included. Overall, it was a thoroughly successful evening, to which the excellent organization of the plenary session made a significant contribution. Absolutely recommended!

We celebrated our civil wedding in the plenum and everything was really perfect, we couldn't be happier with our choice. The organization in advance went smoothly, Mr. Schmelz was able to fulfill all of our wishes and communication was always absolutely uncomplicated and quick. The food tasted great and was beautifully prepared, which was also reported by all our guests. The service was very attentive and left nothing to be desired. We had a wonderful day in the plenary session, which couldn't have been better and we would like to thank the entire team again!

I had dinner with a group of over 60 people on Sunday October 6th, 2024 and was thrilled by the good service from A-Z (I have to say there were other guests there too) I can only recommend this restaurant. Thanks to the kitchen and the wait staff.

Hello, we have been here several times for lunch and dinner. On October 4th, 2024 we had tomato consomme for EUR 10.90, according to the menu we were charged EUR 12.90. We didn't get the pasta in the consomme either! I think it's a shame that people are so cheated with the prices. In our case it is 4.00 EUR. For me that means the prices of the dishes can be changed in the cash register system as desired!! Photos are attached.

Everything was perfect: perfect service, perfect (pre-ordered) food for a larger group and a lovely ambience!

We enjoyed coming here. The service has steadily gotten worse. The staff has no sense or sensitivity for proper operation and good service. In the summer we were automatically served outside, the last two times not at all, until we discovered that in a good establishment like Plenum everything is self-service. Of course that's ridiculous at these prices. When the waitress asked about it, she blamed it on the climate and the temperature. It's just that it was almost always the same temperature outside when we visited the plenum. The water for the tea was lukewarm and the ultra mini eclair was probably from the day before yesterday? The ice cream tasted terrible and was “almost microscopic”. The tables outside just need to be cleaner and you should occasionally remove the excess duck droppings that are everywhere. Nobody wants to constantly step on poop where they eat. Unhygienic and disgusting. Just at least try to achieve a normal standard state, instead of always making excuses and subterfuges, please do and create. Also, please put up a sign that you have to order inside yourself. The plenum is damaging itself. When we were sitting there, people kept just getting up and leaving after a long wait because none of the 2-3 waitresses out of a total of 4 unemployed staff standing around wanted to make an effort. Of course we could understand people's anger.

A location where you can enjoy delicious food or just a sundowner inside or outside on the terrace. The super friendly and well-coordinated team leaves nothing to be desired. My birthday party was exactly as I imagined it would be. All guests were completely satisfied. Many many thanks

Great shop, delicious food as well as cakes and a very great tea. Service was unfortunately very unfriendly and lazy and at lunchtime when there wasn't much going on. It's a shame otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Update this time there was a different service because the women were very accommodating, great service and you're happy to give a tip for something like that. I have now improved the stars in service and in general. And the cake selection always remains fantastic. And the toilets are very well maintained, a great shop.

We loved the restaurant every time we visited! Whether for business occasions or private meetings – the ambience is stylish and inviting. The location directly in the state parliament gives the restaurant a special atmosphere. Plenum has been one of our favorite restaurants for years. Whether it's lunch, coffee in the afternoon or a fine dinner in the evening - the dishes are sophisticated and very tasty. But what makes the location stand out above all else (besides the location) are the extremely good employees, both in the plenum and in the Ratskeller. Friendly, professional and have been around for years. Big praise!

Nice, actually stylish atmosphere. Unfortunately, with a few exceptions, in our opinion the female operating staff has seemed demotivated since last year, not attentive enough and the friendliness could be better. The portions of the generally good lunch menu are usually too small.

Food was good, but they really need to improve their service

My acquaintance and I met almost regularly on Fridays in the plenum, after the summer break, exception wise this time on Monday and what a disappointment we have never been served so poorly, inattentive, we constantly have to ask about bread and drinks. I almost felt sorry for the young server, but she was clearly overwhelmed, and the young waiter was cheeky and even rude!!! Conclusion never again Plenum so sorry I am because the food was very good as always

Staff tried hard but were completely unqualified. Parts have been forgotten many times when ordering. Friendliness leaves a lot to be desired and you quickly notice that you are annoyed. Food actually expected something different for the price! It's sad because the ambience is very nice but the rest just sticks with it.

All in all, there are many points that do not match the desired quality. Be it cobwebs in the corner, windows that haven't been cleaned or the roast that wasn't served to the desired degree of doneness.

Great location on the edge of the city gardens with extensive views of Wasser Fontaine. Back of the New Palace and Artists' House. We only had a cappuccino and cranberry juice. Both were delicious and well priced.

Nice location and the food was always good. Nevertheless, we won't be coming back. The staff, especially the dark-haired service manager, are unfriendly, ice-cold and in no way service-oriented. Their behavior was insulting and inhumane. The service manager actually manages to instruct her staff not to serve guests. There is no transparency when it comes to reservations.

As we have often done before, we had reserved a table. Unfortunately the service didn't have a good day today. After the main course - as always very good - an employee came with the bill instead of asking if we had anything else we wanted. We still ordered dessert. The order for an espresso was then accepted. But instead of coffee, an employee came and let us know that the next reservation would be coming soon. By then we had only been guests for a good hour. Our protest that this has never happened to us in any restaurant to date was met with no understanding. So far we have been able to enthusiastically recommend the restaurant. Unfortunately we were taught better today.

We celebrated our wedding in the Plenum - Stuttgart and had a wonderful celebration and an unforgettable time. From the first contact with Mr. Schmelz and his team, we always felt very comfortable and well advised. We were guided through the various topics in advance and all of our wishes were addressed. The service team was perfect. Everything was done very calmly, we were well looked after and our wishes were taken into account very well, for example when retrieving the different courses. We and all of our guests really enjoyed the food, the wine and of course the wedding cake and we received consistently positive feedback from our guests. We are completely satisfied and very happy that we were able to celebrate our wedding in the plenum.

Title: Poor service and unfriendly staff We went to this local to have a coffee. However, the blonde waitress completely ignored us for 20 minutes. When we got up to leave because we weren't being served, she looked at us and continued to ignore us without saying goodbye or asking why we were leaving. This is a clear sign that the work here is being done without any commitment.

Very nice place- terrace in full sun with pretty views. However the service is terrible, we waited at least 15 mins to receive a menu and an additional 15 to get our order taken. I won’t even mention how long it took to actually receive the drinks! Shame, the restaurant seems delightful..

We chose the Plenum because we saw an attractive menu with wine accompaniment on the homepage. When the first white wine from the wine pairing was presented to us relatively quickly as we passed by (without an explanation as to what kind of wine it was), we were told when we asked that the aperitif had been removed from the wine pairing last week. This is described differently on the homepage; the price has not changed due to the removal. The courses and the rest of the wine accompaniment were simply left as we walked past and not a word was said about them. There were no questions as to whether everything was OK or whether we wanted anything else (sometimes we sat there for 20 minutes without drinks) and we had the feeling that the service staff had little desire to serve. Even when it came to paying at the end, there was virtually no communication, no one asked how we found it or whether everything was okay. It's a shame, the atmosphere is really nice and the food was overall really tasty. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par at all.

Zunächst haben wir Aperitifs bestellt und uns dann in Ruhe beide für das 3-Gänge-Menü mit Weinbegleitung entschieden. Die Aperitifs waren gut. Allerdings wurde uns der Aperitif, der zur Weinbegleitung gehört, ungefragt nicht serviert. Die "Kleinigkeiten aus der Küche" waren ein Brotkorb mit Oliven und zwei Aufstrichen. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass der Service erklärt, was das für Aufstriche sind. Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert waren ansprechend angerichtet und haben uns geschmeckt. Wir waren überrascht, dass die Speisen wortlos vor uns gestellt wurden. Bei einem Restaurant dieser Art hätten wir erwartet, dass noch einmal erinnert wird, was serviert wurde. Nur der Abschiedsgruß (Pralinen) wurden erklärt. Der Wunsch, statt des Espresso, der zur Weinbegleitung gehört, einen Cappuccino zu bekommen, wurde abgelehnt (à la carte kostet der Cappuccino 1,3 € mehr). Wir könnten den Cappuccino nur zusätzlich bestellen. Ich habe dann einen Espresso Macchiato ohne Aufpreis aushandeln können. Insgesamt haben wir zu zweit 168 € bezahlt. Fazit: Das Ambiente ist gut. Das Essen war gut. Der Service hat uns nicht überzeugt. Er war freundlich, wirkte aber nicht professionell.

Staff seemed short handed and served locals before foreigners would not recommend, very long wait times on busy hours. Food was ok but price/quality does not meet.

The lunch menu is an absolute bang for the buck. If ordered individually, the dishes are expensive. We were thrilled with the entire menu and the wines that went with it. And then the great ambience! We Munich residents have now found a permanent contact point in Stuttgart. One point deduction is for the service, which was very nice, but lacked an overview. It doesn't matter - we'll be happy to come back.
