I visited the Wolfsburg Play Off on July 17, 2025. Unfortunately, my impressions of the visit were rather mixed. Service: The service was disappointing overall. We were particularly disappointed that we were not allowed to drink two smoothies we had brought with us at our table – on the grounds that the restaurant itself serves smoothies. This policy is understandable from a business perspective, but it was communicated to us in an unfriendly and uncustomer-oriented manner. Especially in a restaurant where you order food for over €30 anyway, a little more flexibility or at least courtesy would have been desirable. Food: The quality of the food, however, was quite convincing. The burgers – both the cheeseburger and the French onion bacon burger – were very tasty, juicy, and freshly prepared. The fries were crispy, but a bit too dry and slightly underseasoned. A little salt and a suitable sauce would have rounded things off, but unfortunately, no sauces were served, which is to be expected in this price range. Value for money: Overall, the price level is quite high. Paying over €33 for two burgers with sides and a small extra (mayonnaise) is borderline unreasonable – especially when the service can't keep up. The food was delicious, but the portion size and lack of sauces put the price into perspective. Conclusion: The food was good, but the experience was marred by the rude service and the restrictive drink policy. Those who value friendly service will likely be disappointed. However, those who come just for the burgers might be satisfied – but they will have to accept a slightly higher price.

Sperrips Class Excellent service

The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. The spare ribs were dry, as were the burger patties. There was no sign of any presentation. The children's dishes, in particular, were presented without much care. It's a shame we spent our money there.

Everything fits. The veggi burger with the oat patty was good, but not outstanding. The classic small burger was also good for the money (on Wednesday - half price), but the quality of the meat was rather average. Service was nice and quick.

We ordered three burgers, two of which were XXL burgers. The restaurant, if you can call it that, was empty. After ordering the food, it took a good half hour for the food to arrive. The burgers themselves looked tasty and big. After a few bites, however, we realized that the beef patties were extremely dry and some of them were already black. When asked about the patties, the waitress said after looking at the burgers for a while that she would at least bring an extra patty for the XXL burgers, but we were then not allowed to continue eating if we wanted to complain. Strange statement....My wife was already full and had lost her appetite. I took a chance and took the extra patty. After about 10 minutes it came out on a small plate with cheese on it. I reluctantly tried it and the patty tasted like it had been microwaved. I completely lost my appetite. The waitress came calling so we could pay and I told her exactly that. Our patties are always like this. For me the very worst burger shop in and around Wolfsburg... Never again. One point is still too many!

You can eat delicious burgers in this restaurant! There were four of us there and we all loved it. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was served quickly and was very tasty. We'd love to come back.

The food tastes good and is rich. Unfortunately, only some waiters are motivated and friendly. Depending on where you sit, it can be drafty, but there are also cozy corners. Relatively expensive at €7.30 for a milkshake.

Fast service and a well-coordinated team.

So getting a half-finished chicken schnitzel isn't so bad at first glance. Called the waiter and had the food returned. Up until here everything was still going well. Then he came back with the new old food. The chicken schnitzels were half the size and what's much worse. They were the same ones that my wife had on her plate (there were test cuts in both schnitzels). People probably don't think much of hygiene there. And then the schnitzels were fried to death. You couldn't cut it with a knife, let alone take a bite out of it. Once and never again. Shame about the money.

The Play Off is very authentic and delicious. The portions are large and hot. The service is friendly and they are happy to help if you have any questions. Special requests are addressed and you can respond quickly to questions. The ambience is adapted to the surroundings, but they make the best of it 👍

It was very tasty, but I found the burgers to be quite small. Thanks to Wednesday we only paid ½ price, I wouldn't order them for the full price. The service is very friendly. It is difficult to influence the ambience, it is and remains in the shopping center, but they have already made the corner cozy. The homemade lemonades are highly recommended.

We tried a burger for the first time during happy hour (1/2 price). The burger was tasty, but I wouldn't have paid full price for it, it was smaller than other restaurants.

We often go there for breakfast, really great. The burgers 🍔 are also really good there, recommended.

Very accommodating staff, friendly and well organized. Food for 25 people arrived quickly and almost at the same time (we had pre-ordered). Portions were good and taste was average to good.

We had 6 mozzarella sticks and 2 small burgers. A handful of fries, ketchup and mayo for an additional charge of course. Plus 2 drinks. Total for around €50! Really intense 🙈. Although the service was good and the food was delicious, next time you'll have to think carefully about what to go elsewhere 🤔.

I can remember that the currywurst (only lukewarm) with fries was always served with a side salad, ketchup and mayonnaise. All of this is no longer the case. The fries are very thin and very little value for money. You can only look for the large plate. Simply loveless

The food was of good quality, but I found the portion size of the currywurst with fries to be a bit small in relation to the price (both in terms of the quantity and the thickness of the fries). Other than that, the overall experience was satisfactory. The service was friendly and attentive and asked about our satisfaction. The attentiveness of the service staff could serve as a model for other restaurants.

I was there for breakfast with my parents last Friday. We had a buffet and it was once again delicious. There is a good selection of food. I always like the extra selection of egg specialties.

Portions are kept small compared to other playoffs. Lemonade is heavily watered down. Benches are dilapidated and wobble. Conclusion: avoid Braunschweig if it absolutely has to be play-off.

I wouldn't want to eat there a second time 👉 Service seemed bored 😗well....

The burger is one of the delicious burgers in Wolfsburg. And they have good offers. Their menu is rich, whether vegan, chicken or meat, whether food or drinks, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a great play area, which is why my children want to go there again and again.

Unfortunately only deep fryer food, prepared with a lot of fat...

Super Frühstück, freundlicher Service

Das Essen ist da immer sehr lecker und die Angebote sind auch echt toll. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall dort mal zu Essen. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist, dass es immer sehr laut dort ist, was aber in der Galerie leider normal ist.

Die Preise sind nicht schlecht,es zieht dort wie nichts.

Vom Ambiente ganz cool und ein netter Kellner. Der Burger war gut, leider die Rippchen nicht so. Geschmacklich ok, aber Punkt abzug, denn das Fleisch ging schwer vom Knochen und die Silberhaut hätte man vielleicht auch entfernen können. Sa kann man noch einen drauf legen 😉

Das Essen schmeckt- die Bürger top. Bedienung nett. Es stimmte alles. Obwohl ich vorher skeptisch war.

Wir hatten das Premium Frühstück am Buffett. Leider nur sehr wenige (immer max. vielleicht 6) und wirklich riesige Gurkenstückchen und nur 1 Pancake der zudem schlecht gemacht war. Der erste Cappuccino kam in einer kleinen Tasse mit winzigem Löffel, der zweite dann in der großen. Zum Tee gab es leider keinen Krümelkandis mehr und es gab keinen kleinen Teller für den Teebeutel. Die Bedienung war, wie von Play Off gewohnt, super freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt schon empfehlenswert, aber das Personal an der Theke und in der Küche könnte noch etwas nachlegen.

Wer nichts auf der Speisekarte findet zum Essen, ist selber schuld. 😃. Das Team ist super nett und aufmerksam.

Ein top Services wurden an Tisch gebracht und Linda war sofort da und hat sich um uns gekümmert hab schon lange nicht mehr nen guten Bürger in Wolfsburg gegessen und das Essen kam sehr schnell super ..vielen Dank...auch an ( Linda ) und die Küche

Gebe einen Tipp. Kontrolliert eure Rechnungen sofort. Heute 4 Euro zuviel bezahlt. Ist aber erst zu Hause aufgefallen.

Man sollte es sagen,das Kaffeespezialitäten ,extra kosten. Sonst waren wir zufrieden

Sehr nette Bedienung und wie immer 8st das essen lecker wer nicht gerade auf die Kalorien achtet. Sehr sauber auch wenn man es beobachtet und ein Tisch wird frei, dann wird er sofort sauber gemacht. Werde dort öfters weiter was essen gehen 😊

Limonade habe ich bestellt, kann ich sehr empfehlen. Das Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich nichts bestellt habe.

Die American Bar ist in einer Shopping Mall. Es ist eine Sportsbar, aher war es voll, weil viele nur mit Gränken die Bundesliga sehen wollten. Unser Essen war super und der Service war gut. Gerne wieder.

Ich war da zum ersten Mal und fand es ganz ok. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hat unsere Bestellung sehr schnell aufgenommen. Das Essen km viel zu schnell. Daher schwierig zu beurteilen, wie frisch es war. Mein Pilz-Rahm Soße zum Schnitzel war eher ein Klumpen. Schnitzel hat ganz OK geschmeckt. Kann man mal machen, wenn man für die schnelle was essen möchte. Ich würde eher nicht nochmal hier essen.

Ein typischer amerikanischer Diner. Das Essen ist lecker und die Portionen sind ordentlich. Einen Punkt muss ich für das Ambiente und die Stühle abziehen. Wenn ich vor dem Diner sitze, ist ständiger Besucherverkehr von der City Galerie. Dadurch ist es ziemlich laut und unruhig. Ich würde immer versuchen, im Diner zu sitzen, wo es etwas ruhiger ist. Die Stühle sind für breiter gebaute Personen sehr unangenehm. Zum Glück sind auch Bänke vorhanden, wenn man denn das Glück hat, einen Tisch mit einer Bank zu bekommen. Dennoch esse ich sehr gerne hier.

Freundliche Bedienung, schönes Ambiente. Gemessen am Preis, kann das Essen aber nicht mithalten, geschmacklich nicht mehr als Kantinenqualität, die Zutaten lassen deutlich Geschmack und Aroma vermissen. Vor Jahren war das mal anders.

American restaurant in the middle of mall. It was horrible overcrowded and full of yelling kids so count with that 😂 service was awesome. Waiter's were smily and fast. Food was ok. Value for money is good. By my mistake I pick up Vege burgers with chees and to be honest was surprisingly good so yeah why not !

Wahr sehr lecker und sehr gutes service

Sehr nettes Personal. Leckeres Essen, das schnell zubereitet wird. Ein gutes Lokal, wenn man schnell mal was essen möchte in der Citygalerie. Vor allem die Curly Pommes sind super!

Wir hatten verschiedene Burger, die lecker und heiß waren. Beilagen wie Tomaten und Salat waren frisch. Die Country Potatoes war super lecker: außen bisschen knusprig und innen weich. Große Portion würzige Kartoffelecken mit Sour Cream und Salsa-Dip unter 5 Euro. Freundliche Bedienung. Breite Auswahl an Burger, auch viele Veggie-Burger, Salate, Spare Ribs, Sandwich, fingerfood, Steaks, Schweinerückensteak, Pasta, Säfte,..... Verschiedene Aktionen wie Burger- und Spare Ribs-Day. Da findet jeder was.

Unter aller sau dieser Laden essen kam zu spät war kalt und andere haben vor und das Essen bekommen .

Leider werden die Portionen immer kleiner. Dazu immer teurer. Salat war fast keiner auf dem Teller und auch an Ketchup und Majo wird sehr gespart. Essen war aber ok.

Das schlechteste BREAKFAST BUFFET das wir je hatten. Billige Aufbackbrötchen. Abgepacktes Formfleisch/Aufschnitt (oder was immer das war) Alles abgepacktes undefinierbares Zeug. Käse etc...???? AMERICAN ohne Brownies, Muffins, Bagels....????? NIEMALS!!! Da sind sogar 12,90€ zuviel. Ich bezahle lieber etwas mehr, damit dann auch die Leistung (die angekündigt wird) auch stimmt. NIE WIEDER! Auch wenn das Personal freundlich ist, lenkt es nicht von der mangelden Qualität der Lebensmittel ab.
