Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Essen sehr lecker und Bedienung auch sehr nett.

Voll zufrieben waren eine größere Gruppe und hatten im innenraum genung Platz und eine Eigene Kellnerin

Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr freundlicher und schneller Service. Gute Speisekarte mit einer zusätzlichen Saison-Karte. Angenehmes Ambiente mit Sitzmöglichkeiten im Innen -und Außenbereich.

Schönes Ambiente in der Natur. Da Essen war grundsätzlich gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Leider wurden ohne Hinweise Leistungen extra berechnet. (Kleine Änderungswünsche) Das sollte dann bitte auch vorher kommuniziert werden. Als Beispiel wurde gefragt, welche Soße man möchte – hinterher stellt sich raus, dass das gar nicht Teil des Gerichts ist, sondern eine extra Beilage. Insgesamt somit sehr teuer für die Gesamtleistung.

Es gibt im Sommer keinen schöneren Ort in Schorndorf: Vogelgezwitscher, Bäume, leckere Speisen, gute Getränke und sehr freundliche Menschen die einen umsorgen.

Wir waren am 09.05.26 mit 22 Personen im wunderschönen Biergarten des Platzhirsch in Schorndorf. Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service auch sehr gut. Alle waren rundum zufrieden. Dankeschön dem gesamten Team, wir kommen wieder!!

Der erste Eindruck ist schlechter als es tatsächlich ist, der ZR-Braten war zart und gut, Soße etc nichts zu meckern. Bisschen nervig wenn die Sportler plötzlich mit 30 Mannstärke eintreffen. Ambiente ist nett, bisschen leer holzig, da geht noch was. Und die Bedienungen verwechseln oft die Bestellungen am Tisch.

Wie gewohnt, sehr leckeres Essen und tolle Speisekarte. Was hier besonders auffällt, dass das gesamte Servicepersonal trotz voll besetzten Restaurant und Terrasse alle und absolut immer überaus freundlich und humorvoll sind! Das nicht nur heute, sondern jedes Mal, wenn wir zu Besuch sind. Auch Nachbestellungen werden schnellstmöglich geliefert! Vielen Dank dafür!

Wir waren das erste Mal dort essen und waren begeistert. Der Service war schnell und superfreundlich. Das Essen war richtig lecker und die Portionen waren groß. Die Speisekarte ist auch groß und für jeden ist etwas dabei. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Mittlerweile war ich bestimmt schon über 10 x dort essen und habe mich sehr auf den tollen Salatteller dort gefreut. Leider wurde dieser stillschweigend verkleinert, was für mich eine indirekte Preiserhöhung ist. Auf Nachfrage wurde mir gesagt, dass andere Leute ihren Salat nicht aufessen und er deswegen verkleinert wurde. Was ich sehr schade finde , weil wir gerade wegen dem Salatteller und dem tollen Dressing kommen. Man könnte ja eine Gebühr für nicht gegessene Speisen erheben. Heute, 03.03.26 waren wir nach langem wieder dort essen. Ich hatte wieder den Wirtshaussalat und war dieses Mal doch sehr enttäuscht. Der Salat wurde wieder verkleinert und es kam die Aussage, dass der Chef meinte, der Salat war viel zu groß. Der Preis blieb jedoch, was eine weitere Preiserhöhung ist. Heute war das Schnitzel fast roh und ich bat die Bedienung, es nochmals in die Pfanne zu werfen. Ich bekam meinen Teller mit einem neuen Salat, aber das Schnitzel war leider aufgrund des Fettes nicht mehr lecker. Auch die Süßkartoffel Pommes waren leider versalzen. Fazit: für 60 Euro für zwei Personen war der Abend und das Essen doch sehr enttäuschend.

Wir wurden vom Kesselhaus weggeschickt mit den Worten "hätte man mal vorher reservieren sollen", also nach kurzer Suche den Platzhirsch gefunden. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und hervorragend gut bedient und auch beraten. Die Essensauswahl ist sehr groß, dennoch war jedes Essen inklusive Nachtisch frisch gemacht und heiß. Kann man absolut bedenkenlos empfehlen. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder her.

Richtig leckeres Essen mit guten Portionen. Aktuell waren Entenbrust und Wildschweingulasch auf der Karte, und die sind wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Platzhirsch Schondorf 02.01.2026 Muitissimo obrigada pelo o maravilhoso tempo que passei no local. Die Dekoration des Lokals passt zur Jahreszeit, schon am Eingang war die weihnachtliche Stimmung zu spüren, und auch die Fenster waren mit Weihnachtsmotiven geschmückt. Die Atmosphäre im Inneren ist gemütlich und angenehm. Ich wählte einen Tisch ganz hinten, von wo aus ich alle sehen konnte, die hereinkamen und gingen. Obwohl die Musik nicht ganz meinem Geschmack entsprach, passte sie sehr gut zum Local, und die Beleuchtung verlieh dem Ambiente eine besondere Note. Gegen 11:30 Uhr waren bereits Gäste da, die Kellnerinnen waren bereit für den Service. Zwischen dem Hin- und Herlaufen zwischen den Tischen kam immer eine von ihnen an meinem Tisch vorbei, um zu überprüfen, ob alles in Ordnung war. Sie waren aufmerksam und freundlich und sorgten dafür, dass ich eine schöne Zeit dort hatte. Um 12:38 Uhr gab ich meine erste Bestellung auf: Linsen mit Spätzle und eine Tasse Tee. Das Interessante daran war, dass der Koch selbst zu mir kam, um sich zu vergewissern, dass ich das Gericht auch wirklich so haben wollte, klein portion.Ich fühlte mich wie eine sehr wichtige Kundin und hatte das Gefühl, mich dort wie zu Hause zu fühlen. Natürlich fällt in einem Restaurant dieser Größe auf, dass die Gäste nicht nur gut behandelt und empfangen werden, sondern auch nach dem Essen länger als normal bleiben, was ein gutes Zeichen für das Lokal ist. Um 12:41 Uhr kam mein Tee, den ich genoss, während ich auf das Essen wartete. Um 12:50 Uhr war es dann soweit, eine unvergleichliche Wartezeit, wenn man bedenkt, dass bereits viele Tische besetzt waren. Ich bekam eine Sonderportion, das Gericht war mit Petersilie und Tomaten garniert, neben Linsen und Spätzle gab es eine Wurst und eine Scheibe gebratenen Speck, ich liebe Speck. Da ich beim Essen wählerisch bin, habe ich die Angewohnheit, an Essen zu riechen und es zu berühren. Zunächst denk ich es kalt , aber als ich einen Löffel mit Linsen und Spätzle in den Mund nahm, merkte ich, dass es eine warme Temperatur hatte, die ideal für meinen Gaumen war. Der Kontrast zwischen den leicht gewürzten Linsen und den Spätzle gab mir das Gefühl, ein leckeres Essen von meiner Großmutter zu essen. Die Portion war perfekt und der Geschmack wunderbar. Mehr hätte ich nicht essen können. Um 13:00 Uhr kam die Kellnerin, um zu überprüfen, ob alles in Ordnung war, und das Lokal füllte sich mit weiteren Gästen. Der Ort scheint gut besucht zu sein und ein attraktives Publikum anzuziehen. Um 13:13 Uhr war ich fertig und machte weiter mit dem, was ich zuvor getan hatte. Um 13:30 Uhr wurde der Teller 17 Minuten, nachdem ich fertig war, und 40 Minuten, nachdem er serviert worden war, abgeräumt. Zu dieser Aktion gratuliere ich Ihnen. Um 14:37 Uhr, nach einer guten Verdauung, war das Gute, dass ich keine Probleme mit dem Essen hatte, wie ich sie sonst immer an anderen Orten habe. Also bestellte ich ein Glas Wein, die Kellnerin gab mir eine Empfehlung, die ich annahm, und es war gut. Zur gleichen Zeit kam der Küchenchef, um zu fragen, wie mir das Essen geschmeckt hat. Um 15:02 Uhr und um 16:56 Uhr waren sie wirklich sehr aufmerksam und verdienen schon jetzt 10 Sterne. Um 17:18 Uhr kam ein weiterer Kellner, der noch freundlicher war. Um 18:13 Uhr hatte ich Lust auf etwas Süßes, also bestellte ich Apfelküchlein mit Vanilleeis. Um 18:23 Uhr kam dieses fantastische Dessert, sehr schön dekoriert, dass einem schon beim Anblick das Wasser im Mund zusammenlief. Es war wirklich köstlich, ich empfehle jedem, der das Restaurant besucht, es zu probieren. Es war so lecker, dass ich gerne noch einmal hingehen würde. Für alles, was dieser Ort zu bieten hat: Service, Essen, die Location selbst. Die Preise für Speisen und Getränke sind absolut günstig. Danach bestellte ich noch ein Glas Wein, genoss den Rest meiner Zeit dort und ließ die angenehme Atmosphäre auf mich wirken. Der Platzhirsch ist wirklich ein Ort, den man mit geschlossenen Augen besuchen kann.

Ich habe bereits einige Gerichte in diesem Restaurant probiert. Leider hat mich das Essen geschmacklich nicht überzeugt – es war eher durchschnittlich. Das Getränkeangebot hingegen ist in Ordnung.

We were greeted immediately and shown to our reserved table. Even though two birthdays were taking place at the same time, everything was very quick and calm, and not hectic. The pumpkin soup could have been warmer. The Italian-style burger was good, as were the pumpkin ravioli. The service was very courteous and attentive. A restaurant I highly recommend.

Six of us had a cozy meal together on a Monday evening. Everything was just perfect: cheerful service, delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere. I'd happily recommend this restaurant.

A perfect place for special occasions! I celebrated my 40th birthday at Platzhirsch in Schorndorf – and it was simply perfect. The food was outstanding, the service attentive and super friendly, and the venue itself is simply fantastic – stylish, cozy, and just the right setting for a celebration. Many thanks to the entire team for this unforgettable evening – highly recommended! A water playground, climbing walls, and in-ground trampolines right next door.

We wanted to go there for dinner. We checked the menu on the website beforehand. The menu was ancient. I called, but the only current information was on Facebook. That was absurd to me. OK, I checked Facebook, and there was only an old menu there, too. If the food is as mixed up and outdated as the information, I wouldn't even consider going there.

We spontaneously went to Platzhirsch based on a recommendation. We were very pleasantly surprised by the ambiance. At first, we had a cozy spot under a tree, but after a few minutes, it wasn't so nice anymore because various animals kept jumping on us. Our request for a different seat was resolved very friendly and quickly. The lady who takes our orders is very attentive and quick. The food was delicious. Despite the large number of guests, we got our food quite quickly. A truly pleasant evening.

Tried a very tasty burger with sweet potatoes as a side dish and was impressed. The longer waiting time was compensated with the food. Can't be blamed as it was already well attended. I would be happy to visit the terrace again in the summer :)

A real top dog! My lunch at Platzhirsch in Schorndorf was a complete success. The chicken strips were tender and tasty, the rice was fresh and aldente. The salad was particularly excellent - fresh, crunchy and with a light but tasty dressing. The portion was generous and the price was very fair. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I can definitely recommend the top dog and will definitely come back!

Relatively expensive. The pizza has a very thick dough base and arrived warm, meaning it was baked too short. The toppings were plentiful, but in some cases not particularly high quality. In short not worth the money. But it's nice to sit outside and the service is friendly.

Friendly and fast service. I ordered the vegetarian currywurst. The curry sauce made almost no difference. Only the consistency of the sausage was softer than the original. The vegan mayo also tasted a bit less flavorful than the original.

Dinner of the day fish fillet: small portion of fish on a bed of borderline salty spinach, but bland, very oily-fatty fried potatoes. Just about enjoyable when mixed with hunger, but ultimately just as disappointing as that Overpriced, taste-unconvincing schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and home-bought spaetzle, garnished with strange-looking pale breadcrumbs. It's a shame, wrong choice of restaurant - it really wasn't worth the money :-(

Tagesessen Fischfilet: kleine Fischportion auf grenzwertig salzigem Spinatbett, dafür fade, sehr ölig-fettige Bratkartoffeln. Im Mix mit Hunger gerade so geniessbar, aber letztendlich genauso enttäuschend wie das überteuerte, geschmacklich nicht überzeugende Schnitzel mit Pilzrahmsosse und eher selbstgekauften Spätzle, garniert mit seltsam anmutenden bleichen Semmelbröseln. Schade, falsche Restaurantwahl - das war das Geld wirklich bei weitem nicht wert :-(

Have always been very satisfied so far. Ambience and service are really good. Unfortunately this time there are compromises when it comes to food. Had a fitness salad. What was advertised as fresh seasonal salads was in reality a mixture of industrial ready-made food (large canisters) made from carrots, cabbage and potato salad. The dressing tasted like a cheap balsamic cream. There were also pieces of chicken that were simply rolled in a sweet and sour sauce from the bottle and not freshly marinated as described (tasted like Asian fast food). It kept coming back after eating. For 18.90 euros, this salad does not correspond in any way to the price-performance ratio.

Baked potato eaten with Mediterranean vegetables and salad. Vegetables were VERY dark (just barely edible) and the potato tasted like it had been in the oven for 3 days. And paid over €15 for it. Generally very expensive but brilliant beer garden and the salad was very tasty.

After our journey home from South Tyrol we wanted to have something to eat and the only restaurant that was open was the top dog. We ordered 2 burgers. These felt like they were ready after 10 seconds. The patty tasted warmed up and wasn't quite hot. And that for 16€. Unfortunately that was the last time there. No recommendation.

The top dog, Schorndorf, convinced me across the board. The beautiful surroundings in the middle of nature invite you to linger and create a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive and took excellent care of us. The boss deserves special mention - very professional and personable, he personally made sure that everything went perfectly. The fresh, regional dishes were an absolute highlight and demonstrate high quality. A great place that I will happily return to!

I was in the top dog at a celebration. From an organizational point of view, everything was well prepared to create a feel-good atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and looked after the guests well. The food, in the form of a warm buffet, was very tasty, well balanced and plentiful. I can 100% recommend the top dog as a host for celebrations and larger events. I will definitely visit the location again in a private setting.

But unfortunately we won't be coming back for dinner because the price/performance ratio for the convenience products we used wasn't right, sorry. But we'd love to come back for a beer.

FINALLY there are vegan dishes at Platzhirsch 👌🏼☺️🌱 I was very happy and even more pleased that the dishes were really tasty 😋 The price is relatively high and unfortunately there is no vegan dessert (yet), but the service and ambience are really commendable 👍🏼 I'm already looking forward to the next visit ✨

I've been here twice and had good meals both times and I can't fault the service. Briefly about the food: Even if I don't like eating meat anymore, the Wiener Schnitzel was worth it for once! This was perfectly cooked. The vegan currywurst was a bit tasteless, but still delicious. I also think it's very good that there is a special menu with a small selection of vegan dishes. There could be more, but a “beer garden atmosphere” and vegan food rarely come together! Since I find the current rating of 4.0 a bit low, I'm giving it 5 stars.

We were in the top dog for the second time yesterday at lunchtime. This time we sat on the beautiful terrace. Food was again great (baked potato with salmon, Pinsa Romana). The service was also super nice. We were completely happy and will definitely come back.

Burger with fries for 20 euros. Sporty and no special quality. A waitress told me that she wasn't allowed to keep the tip. I cannot verify whether this is the case. The landlord clearly contradicted this. The catering industry still seems to be doing well if you can achieve such prices...

I don't want to leave the last review as it is because I noticed it and the friendly lady pointed out whether the guests would be kind enough to sit at another table. There was no unfriendly word from the service side, just the hint. Which was very nice to me It has long been noticeable that some guests no longer have any understanding or patience for situations that are necessary for the catering, especially since 70-150 people want to be served at the same time. Sometimes a little more understanding for the hard job would be appropriate. The guests do it too Not everything is always right ☝️Let’s think about it!

Although only a third of the outside area was occupied and we just wanted to have a drink, we were rudely turned away. This is the third and last time that we have had to deal with the service staff in question. It's a shame that guests are treated like this. Given the inflated prices of the food, you would expect significantly better service.

Half the beer garden is empty and you are rudely sent away, even though you just want to drink a shandy, saying that you have to make a reservation.

If I could give this place 4,5 stars I would have. Visited a Tuesday evening and it was really busy! Do yourself a favour and book ahead. Service was really friendly and competent. Food was fresh, good looking and tasteful. I recommend the Fitness Salad. I will return!

Had dinner here today with family. Can't complain. Price/performance ratio is right, friendly service, the space outside was very nice. Plus point for the vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu.
