The beef goulash was out of this world!! Extremely delicious!! My friend's breaded schnitzel was also very good! We'll be back :)

Delicious beer and the food has been great so far (especially the portion size). The service is sometimes bad because it is unfriendly, but that is the exception. There is usually a nice service team there.

Very nice restaurant in the middle of Stuttgart. It can be very sociable here. There is enough space in the Platzhirsch, you can spread out over 2 to 3 floors or even sit in front of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and quick. The cheeseburger was well done. A nice evening. Thanks.

A good student bar but no longer

The street musicians who can't do anything and demand money where the restaurant is allowed is very annoying. Otherwise absolutely great.

The cheese spaetzle was really good. Especially with the bacon. Unfortunately, we noticed that some of the waitresses needed several requests before we could order/pay for drinks. The cider I ordered was only 0.4l instead of 0.5l as offered on the menu. Price/performance is okay.

I went with locals 2 years ago. I went again this year. I can say that I do not recommend you to go on crowded days like Friday and Saturday. Neither the order taker nor the server is around.

I got Maultasche on the recommendation of my friend from the area and it was really tasty. Great value too!

The food is fine - depending on what is ordered. Unfortunately, it is often noisy outside and the tables could be cleaned more often. During my last visit I saw ants actively inspecting my salad and pancakes. Otherwise relaxed atmosphere :)

Absolutely recommended, Swabian cuisine mixed with vegan dishes, there is something for everyone. The prices are not outrageous like some other places.

I was briefly visiting Stuttgart and was in the mood for Maultaschen. I enjoyed the Maultaschen!

Well, in general it’s ok. Lentils and sausage good, pasta without taste. The schnitzel is tasteless, the potatoes are unremarkable. Prices are high as always The staff seems to be doing their best serving this whole bunch of people, so I can give them a plus. Everything is outside and there are ashtrays on every table, which is a minus, I wouldn’t want everyone a meter away from me to smoke, and there are children sitting there, in general, I don’t support smoking under umbrellas. And it’s a very noisy, crowded restaurant in a noisy, crowded place. Ps there is probably a toilet, but it turned out to be difficult to find in one room, there are no signs. When going outside, they even give you free matches. Again, I do not support encouraging smoking. P.s By the way, there were no birddeckers :( Although sometimes they are given. And finally, everyone’s glasses are different. Glass and clay. There are many types of beer, so maybe it’s not chaos but a hidden order.. maybe birddeckers are also given only for a certain drink, such as lemonade

Im very glad we chose this place to try traditional regional food! Definitely worth it! We chose Käsespätzle and Maultaschen - both of them delicious and with a lot of fresh vegetable.

The cheese spaetzle was very tasty and really enriched our visit. However, we made the mistake of initially sitting in the room on the ground floor. The area on the first floor is for non-smokers and offers a little more light, which creates a more pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately a bit understaffed, which led to longer waiting times. Overall a nice place with tasty food, but you should be careful where you sit to get the most out of your visit.

We were there on a Friday evening and it was correspondingly well attended. There is a smoking area downstairs and a non-smoking area upstairs. The two of us were able to get a seat at the counter upstairs. There is a large selection of drinks and a small menu. Based on the reviews we decided against schnitzel. I had the Maultaschen with potato salad and a side salad. And what can I say: I was thrilled. The food came quickly, had a good portion and was very good for the price. Because it was so full, it was a bit louder in the restaurant. All in all, the restaurant is definitely recommended!

On Monday evening I got the last table outside, had pilsner from the tap and the naturally cloudy one. For dinner we had cheese pätzle with a proper bachetse - a dream🤩 The Mautaschen were delicious and the salad dressing was great. We will be back.

Great location right next to the Hans im Glück fountain, one of the nice corners in the old town for going out, drinking and eating. Great dishes at a fair price. When the weather is nice, especially outside, and there's also something going on...

This beautiful place in the heart of Stuttgart gave us a nice lunch, during which, on a trip to Germany, we were able to taste spatzle, a typical dish from Baden-Wüttenberg which consists of irregularly shaped cheese dumplings accompanied by parsley, caramelized onion and vegetable garnish. All accompanied, of course, by excellent beers. The location is wonderful and the service was precise. We recommend it to Italians who want to eat typical Stuttgart dishes.

What a place. Completely screwed my head off. Met people from Stuttgart at the bar, great people. The bartender is super friendly and actually tolerated our drunken babble for far too long. Oh yes, you can smoke inside here, at the bar. It is non-smoking upstairs. What a fantastic tent.

Down-to-earth food (delicious potato salad) in a rustic atmosphere in Stuttgart's immediate party hotspot I would love to come here again with friends. In my opinion, the most significant disadvantage of the location: the smoking area is on the ground floor and you have no chance of escaping the cold smoke. To get to the non-smoking area on the first floor you have to go through the smoking area, even if no one is smoking, the residue is very unpleasant.

Our food tasted at canteen level and was carelessly prepared. Everything in the interior and in the toilets was a bit dirty and disgusting. Doesn't do justice to the hipster image.

Hello, I ate at Platzhirsche yesterday and was actually very disappointed. The food was lukewarm, the side salad was super small and my companion's food wasn't cooked properly. I was surprised that the food came after 5 minutes. I think charging 32.0 euros for two 0.2 drinks and mediocre food is questionable. The service was quite nice but not really attentive. Of course it's always a matter of taste for me personally it's more something you can drink against. If you want to eat Swabian food, I recommend Spätzlesschwoab or the Paulaner at Rotebühlplatz.

We once had the spaetzle with fried champions etc. & once the Maultaschen with potato salad. Both dishes tasted really great. The spaetzle in particular was a really big portion. Both dishes came with a small salad with a very tasty dressing! The outside area is also very idyllic. There is a star deduction for the ambience inside. It's very simple and cool, but the food quickly makes up for it!

Failing on so many levels. We were really hungry. At this stage we are not even particularly demanding. “Top dog” sounded good. So are the reviews. So I went in and ordered a gyro and schnitzel with fries. So far so good. Drinks shandy and cola were delivered. The food also came quickly. My schnitzel was OK, the fries were a bit salty. However, after 2 bites I was rid of my schnitzel. The gyro was too salty and my girlfriend wanted to swap. I couldn't get more than two bites down and quickly crossed knife and fork. Attentive service staff would have noticed this, but we were ignored. This plate sat untouched in front of me for 38 minutes. And he was still standing there when we left. My girlfriend still ate the schnitzel, but the fries were too salty to eat. 15 minutes before paying, the waiter asked: "Should I pack up the leftovers?" We replied that that was not necessary. Did he ask how it tasted? No, he only did that at the next table. He knew we wouldn't eat any more and he still left it for 15 more minutes. Class service. Then we tried to get the bill. We waved and eventually managed to get their attention. We were so proud for a moment... until we noticed that the table behind us was being spoken to. They were surprised when asked: “You want to pay?” "Yes we can do that gladly." We were ignored again. Then at some point our waiter came to the table. Summed up what we had. Again, making no move to ask us if everything was OK. Probably wouldn't work, since the next table was asked twice... We reported back independently that both the fries and the gyros were completely oversalted and therefore inedible (see plate). "I'll pass that on to the kitchen... Sorry, have a nice evening anyway." That's it. No “Excuse me, is it OK if I just charge you for one dish?” or “Can I make it up to you with an espresso on the house?” No, nothing came. He had so many chances: When after a few bites the meal was stopped. When he asked about “packing up.” How many adults abandon a meal after a few bites? Then the refusal to clear away the food. Then the behavior during the payment process. This rating was well deserved. A little too much salt can definitely happen. However, how you deal with it then determines how the guests leave the restaurant. For us a clear “never again”. €35.60 gone... for a shandy, a coke. a schnitzel and a lot of trouble...

At the beginning we were surprised by the low prices and didn't expect much. Top dog cheeseburger €12 and Schnitzel with homemade spaetzle and sauce €13. But the food was just delicious. Everything fresh and good quality. Staff was quick and friendly. The drinks were also absolutely ok in terms of price. There was a smoking area on the ground floor and a non-smoking area on the first floor.

This level is where hospitality shines. The service is young and motivated. We ate Maultaschen and Käsespätzle. Sitting outside on the terrace in summer and on sunny days. At the fountain. We liked that.

Lower seating area extremely cold, uncomfortable, hardly any decoration, employees uninterested and eating fries from the guest's plate. Not great.

Sadly I have to agree with many of the lower ranked reviews. We gave this place a shot due to the overall 4.3 at the time. This place is not for families nor non smokers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor on first floor and outdoor are smoking. To get to the floors without smoking, you must pass through the smokers and go upstairs. We were on the top floor and it was deserted up there with only two bulbs out of four working. Food is bland. My service was very good. Atmosphere is horrible. Really for those locals, drinkers, and smokers. Not for quality food at all.

Great food, great service and very fair prices. It's often full, especially on weekends and in summer, so it's best to come early or make a reservation. If it's warm enough you can also sit outside on the square, the atmosphere is cozy and there are also blankets. Personally, it bothers me that there is always a lot of smoking outside, especially since there is already a smoking area inside. I keep coming back!

The top dog was always our favorite bar until the waiter insulted my girlfriend completely because she didn't write to him. Sad after an evening where we paid €380. Never again after more than X years...

Food is just eatable. No taste at all. No sause. If you call that one piece of leaf and a piece of cucumber a salad. People are smoking in here while we eat. Just a place for tourists. Wouldn’t call that a real schnitzel.

Kellner war sehr freundlich, Essen(Schnitzel) kam schnell und war sehr lecker. Preis-Leitungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut.

Also das Essen ist preislich gut, aber das Schnitzel könnte handwerklich etwas liebevoller gemacht werden. Die Panade schmeckt, aber das Schnitzel muss definitiv vorher plattiert werden. Es war zu dick. Die Portionsgröße war aber super und sollte beibehalten werden. Kartoffelsalat war auch okay. Der Service war im oberen Stockwerk nett, aber etwas hilflos. Das Ambiente ist etwas dunkel, aber passt zur schwäbischen Mentalität.

The location is very close to the city centre in a bustling area. It's nice to sit and people watch. Platzhirsch is itself so-so. The service was slightly slow. I wish the menu also had more vegetarian options. A friend had the snake beer which he really liked.

Ich habe draußen gegessen. Der Brunnen vor der Wirtschaft verleiht den Platz eine besondere Note. Die hausgemachte Spätzle und der Salat schmeckten besonders gut.

Während ich mir genüsslich mein süffiges Helles zu Gemüte führte, genoss ich erstklassige Bedienung von Phillip, der uns ohne Echauffements, großzügigerweise Mexikaner-Schüsse spendierte. Chapeau und weiter so!

Im Aspekt Schärfe konnte nicht nur die Mexi-Shots überzeugen, auch im Service blieben dort keine Wünsche offen. Werter Phillip, hab Dank!

Der Service ist super, nett und freundlich aber leider ist der Salat schlecht. Für 12 Euro bekommt man Fertigsalat aus der Tüte mit Dressing drauf. Das ist wirklich schade. Wenn man nur trinken will ist alles top. Gute Stimmung

Eine rustikale "Studentenknepie" mit einem guten schnackhaften Speisenangebot. Auch sehr Preiswert! Was stört ist dass man durch die untere Rsuchergaststube gehen muss um nach oben in den Nichtraucherbereich zu gelangen.

Local food and drink at local prices. A great, friendly, atmosphere in an area that might cost you twice as much. Outside dining is complimented with a warmer first floor dining room if the weather is not to your liking.

Das Ambiente ist Außen sehr gemütlich und schön, Innen erinnert es eher an einen Pub. Die Toiletten liegen im Obergeschoss und sind sehr eng gebaut. (Bin ein schlanker Mensch) Der Service ist zum Großteil aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war geschmacklich okay, aber nicht herausragend. Die Getränke waren gut, auch der Hausgemachte Eistee war lecker. Als wir für unser Wasser verschmutzte Gläser bekamen, wurde sich gleich entschuldigt, nachdem wir darauf aufmerksam gemacht haben und wir bekamen neue Gläser. Parken kann man in einem der Parkhäuser. Ich hoffe, meine Rezession war hilfreich! :)

Selbst gemacht . Günstig . Aber leider absolut geschmacklos . Mit dem Namen PLATZHIRSCH ☝️ erwarte ich eigentlich mehr . Ich bin nicht enttäuscht, ich bin einfach nicht zufrieden. Sehr schade denn optisch aug Bildern sieht das Essen besser aus .

Cooles Restaurant mit leckerem Essen. Gibt auch sehr gute vegetarische Gerichte. Kann die Gebratenen Semmelknödel wärmstens empfehlen. Außerdem wird hier gutes Bier aus München angeboten <3 Immer wieder gerne hier!

Junges, flottes Team. Eine gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Wir sind gerne dort,für mich jedenfalls meine Lieblingslocation 👍
