That was another wonderful evening where everything was just perfect! Huge praise to the remarkably relaxed and very creative kitchen team and the delightful and attentive service! Planerts simply has a fantastic atmosphere in every respect.

The owner of the restaurant is an exceptional person, extremely polite and well-mannered. I was very impressed by him and found him to be a very refined and courteous individual during our conversation.

I was there in the evening with 3 friends, the space is nice and the staff friendly. The food was very good but I did not feel that the prices were justified. 25,- for a dessert or a soup is too much. The Thai curry with tofu was overpriced at 38,-, since it was nothing special. In a restaurant with relatively high prices, I would expect an amuse buche, petit fours or digestif. All we got was a very small bread basket. From all the dishes we ordered, the beef tartar, Königsberger Klops, and the mango cheesecake were the highlights. Had we paid 1/3 less, I would have given great reviews. I would have wished for a little more generosity in general.

We were here for lunch on a Thursday and chose the lunch menu, consisting of a wild herb salad, fish of the day, and dessert or a cheese selection. The service was very good and attentive from start to finish, and the food was beautifully presented and tasted simply fantastic. The cheese selection at the end was a perfect finishing touch and well-chosen. Definitely worth the money! We'd be happy to go back!

Superb cuisine, excellent dishes (delicious herb salad and avocados) (roast beef Thai curry too good), accompanied by a very interesting Riesling and a splendid Rhône red. First-class service. Average atmosphere because few people at lunch... 100% recommended

I've now found myself in front of a locked door three times, even though the opening hours on the restaurant's website and on Google show "open." These experiences relate to my experience between September 2024 and June 2025. The last time, I even made a reservation by phone and received no response from the restaurant... I find this very unreliable and disappointing. Dear team at Restaurant Planerts, Thank you for your response. I'm describing my experience, and it's not a case of mistaken identity. Unfortunately, my companion and I experienced the same thing as described. I left messages on your answering machine twice. A quick call back would be the hospitality I'd like.

It was delicious from A to Z. But for me the highlight was that delicious and original salad. Its hard to be original/memorable with a salad but the pulled it off. Keep up the good work 🫶🏼

The food was delicious. Traditional, yet a little different. The chefs have a feel for the individual components. What goes together or belongs together. A big thank you for that. The service was also super friendly. The different wines were explained and presented. It's a very high standard. But you have to treat yourself every now and then. Keep it up.

Highly recommended restaurant with great service and quality

Ya hemos visitado Planeten varias veces. Si, un restaurante muy lindo y con un ambiente muy agradable, lo calificaría como excelente. Sin embargo, lo que no entiendo es “vegetarian friendly”. ¡No lo es en absoluto! Desde hace años, siempre está el aburrido curry, y eso es todo. De un restaurante mencionado en la Guía Michelin esperaría más creatividad. Por lo tanto, los demás platos pueden ser buenos, pero desde un punto de vista vegetariano, ¡perdón por un solo punto!

It's not easy to get a table, but there's a reason for that! Planerts is truly magnificent, at the highest level. I'd especially like to highlight the Thai curry, as it's been consistently outstanding for years, as well as the wine selection and the advice that goes with it.

Chic ambiance and great service As a vegan, I missed oat or almond milk, which almost every restaurant has these days.

Excellent, high-quality food. Perfect wine pairing. Very competent, relaxed, and attentive service. Excellent value for money.

My absolute highlight in Leipzig so far. A bit more expensive, but the price is right. Four stars would actually be appropriate, because for the price, the service wasn't attentive enough. I've spent a lot of time sitting around waiting... Correction: the last few times, the service was perfect.

A very pleasant, sober ambiance with creative, delicious cuisine, just missing those "aha" moments. The menu can be flexibly compiled from any of the dishes on the menu, and the service is attentive and pleasant. The wine pairing was perfectly selected, with prices at the upper end.

At Planerts, the focus is on original interpretations of international classics, often with Asian influences. The menu is flexible, offering guests the option of choosing à la carte or opting for a customized tasting experience. Dishes are prepared with seasonal ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.

We were lured by the recommendation in the Michelin Guide. That was the next disappointment after three years. In any case, this restaurant guide could be useless for Leipzig. The last tip was okay, but it wasn't worth the detour. Now the recommendation is: drive past. The ambience was appealing, the service pleasant, but in a hyped fine dining setting The restaurant's food would have to be good. However, that was underground. The flagship dish, Thai curry, was just sticky sweet. This is what chefs who learned in burger fast food restaurants serve. Gladly again at the motorway rest stop, but not for this price

A high-end restaurant, a small selection of à la carte dishes, but high quality! Great service, interesting decor and atmosphere. I recommend it for a business meeting.

Unfortunately, the planning fell well short of expectations. Food was OK but unsurprising. Main course served too cold, no response to criticism. The open kitchen concept reaches its limits when cleaning the kitchen starts right next door while you're still eating dessert. Staff tried very hard but unfortunately also clumsy. That wasn't right for the high price.

We spontaneously went to the Planerts restaurant after the Christmas market. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we managed to get a table for two. The selection of food and drinks was excellent. What's particularly great is that you can look into the open kitchen and see how the food is prepared and served. Everything tasted wonderful and the service was excellent. A clear recommendation for gourmets.

From the moment I entered till I left, I felt welcome. To be honest, I am not a salad person, but I enjoyed every bit of mine (the starter) and would order it again. The main dish was not spicy enough for me, but I appreciate that this was due to the style of cooking. Yet again, I left a clean plate. The dessert was perfect!! It's definitely worth a visit.

Yesterday I spent an evening at Planerts with my partner and thought about how I should rate the restaurant. The evening wasn't bad by any means, but we lacked a consistently consistent experience - especially when the goal of the restaurant is "one star". Criticisms First, I would like to address the aspects that were less convincing to us. Unfortunately, the service did not quite meet the high expectations that come with the prices. This should in no way be understood as personal criticism of individual employees - everyone was friendly and tried hard. However, it is unfavorable if the wine accompaniment regularly only arrives after the served courses have begun. What was even more serious was that one dish was completely forgotten. What should be highlighted positively, however, is that the waiter tried to correct this mistake as best as possible. Another point concerns the temperature of the food. Unfortunately, my food wasn't always hot enough. The pasta with mussels in particular was only served lukewarm and didn't impress me at all from a sensory perspective. In my opinion, the Muscovy duck should also have been hotter. I clearly see room for improvement here. Positive aspects Now to the things we liked: The tartare, the dessert and the muscovy duck were excellent in taste. After four courses (despite the forgotten soup) we were well full, and the wine accompaniment was generous. Despite the criticisms mentioned, we had a lovely evening and would like to emphasize that the staff tried to find a satisfactory solution for the forgotten dish. Conclusion Finally, we wish the Planerts team all the best and continued success on the way to an even more harmonious culinary experience.

Great service, you get your coat taken away, the waiters are discreet, considerate and friendly! The food (starter, main course and dessert) didn't blow me away, but that could also be a personal feeling.

We were welcomed very friendly and escorted to the table. Very pleasant advice about the menu and nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Super tasty food, but it was delivered a little too quickly in the sequence. Not so nice: due to the rather rapid sequence, a wine could only be ordered after the main course had arrived and unfortunately it only came much later. However, the restaurant is highly recommended, as the ambience, the special friendliness and the very good quality of the food are striking.

Extremely good and tasty food in a modern atmosphere.

Even if you don't have a Michelin star yet, the food is world class. I therefore give you five stars. The combination of flavors and textures is absolutely delicious. The portions are also unusually large for food of this class. And the service is also unique. Keep it up.

Thank you for this wonderful evening at Planerts. From the greeting, everything went perfectly! We were warmly welcomed, our jackets were taken away and we were escorted to the table. Open questions about food were answered very competently and special requests were implemented without restrictions and a wonderful solution for an allergy was found together. What should be emphasized is the young man's enormous service skills. We have rarely experienced such a perfect and friendly way of dealing with guests. The wine advice was very good and the food was served and explained well. He always had an eye for the guests and a sense of when they would like to order something else. To eat : Everything was perfect throughout! We were allowed to eat finely seasoned dishes. We were very impressed by the beautifully presented dishes and clear flavors. The ambience is great. We find a lot of distance between the tables very positive. You have your privacy. It is also very quiet in the restaurant and quiet music accompanies the evening. When we are back in Leipzig, there is no way around Planerts for us.

Ein von uns (leider) bisher noch nicht entdecktes Restaurant mit einfacher, moderner Einrichtung. Die Küche ist offen, sehr interessant. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, teilweise traditionell mit Königsberger Klopsen neu interpretiert, aber auch besonders mit Seeteufel im Crepemantel mit Pilzfarce. Eine 5-Gang-Menü für den mittleren Geldbeutel mit einem absolut fairen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

I wanted to like this little restaurant. The decor is quite pleasant and the location is very easy to reach. There is a Gault & Millau 2021 certificate on the wall and a Michelin sticker on the door. But I guess it's been a few years since a real inspector has been here. During our visit there was a small team of chef, sous, dishwasher and 2 waiters working in this completely open kitchen, but it wasn't enough. The servers seemed overwhelmed, clueless, or unattended, even though the restaurant was only one-third full on a weeknight. A competent captain and sommelier could easily improve the experience here by training the waiters and forcing them to focus on their most important skill required - presentation - of the menu, the food, the wine, the restaurant itself. Both servers had difficulty presenting the standard wine pairings, if they even thought about serving them with each course. At least they didn't spill anything on me or the table. The meal itself wasn't too bad, and I enjoyed the monkfish... especially after I realized it was presented to me upside down on the table. It's disappointing to see how much effort (visible cooking) the chefs put into the preparation and then watch their work be marred by poor presentation. On the way to Berlin I stopped in Leipzig and visited the Planerts restaurant. I took the menu and every course was of excellent top quality. See pictures. I was totally thrilled and recommend the restaurant 100 percent 😎😎 PS: take the recommended wine selection with the menu

Ein Erlebnis! Heute zum Lunch dort gegessen, man könnte aber auch von der Abendkarte bestellen. Königsberger Klopse noch nie so gut gegessen, die frittierten Kapern , sehr gut. Der Heilbutt perfekt gebraten, Nachttische hervorragend. Lange nicht so gut gegessen!

It's the best restaurant in town. Every time I'm there I notice how much love the team puts into the dishes, be it the creative presentation or the very good taste! But even away from the kitchen you get very good service at Planerts, personal but still professional and competent. The restaurant also has a very relaxed atmosphere, you sit quietly enough to have a good conversation and realize that you are sitting in an upscale restaurant, but it is still not an “uptight” atmosphere where you have to be afraid of putting your fork down wrong. That's why I give it an absolutely deserved 5 stars!

Very tasty and fine food. Friendly service. Wines good too - just the advice on the wines didn't go far beyond what was obvious on the label. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

The vegetarian main course would have been much more unusual for the price, as would the very great starter and dessert.

Der Empfang war freundlich, zuvorkommend, höflich und entsprechend der Erwartung; auch wenn der Service - alles in allem - dem Preisniveau nicht entspricht. Die Speisen und Getränke sind qualitativ gut und frisch in der offenen Küche zubereitet. Mir persönlich hat sich das Konzept der Küche nicht vollständig erschlossen; sollte es eine Mischung aus experimenteller Kochkunst und Tradition sein oder regionale Produkte zu tendenziell asiatischer Küche transferiert? Es war handwerklich und geschmacklich okay. Das Konzept der Gastronomie und das in sich nicht stimmige Ambiente ließ einige Fragen für mich offen. Der Wohlfühlfaktor war so mittelmäßig und das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist noch in einem Missverhältnis.

The service is super great and the wine is worth a sin. The atmosphere is modern and the chairs are very comfortable and, above all, there is a lot of space, not so cramped as in some other restaurants that you can hardly get through. The food was also delicious, even if it wasn't quite my cup of tea, but the dessert was really awesome. Yummy!

The first place I dined upon arriving in Leipzig was not disappointing at all. The waiter was welcoming and knowledgeable about food and wine. While the menu wasn't extensive, quantity does not always equate to quality. We were thoroughly pleased with our choice. My entrée was a salad with roasted avocado. I could easily be persuaded to become a vegetarian. The suite was just as delicious.

Das Planerts hat es geschafft einen reisebedingt sehr stressigen Abend zu versüßen. Durch das Online-Booking System war es auch möglich während eines Seminars noch einen Tisch zu reservieren. Das sollte 2024 selbstverständlich sein, ist es aber definitiv nicht. Atmosphärisch setzt man auf einen industriellen Charme mit sehr hoher Decke. Das Konzept geht aus meiner Sicht gut auf. Ein kleines Highlight waren für mich die Händehandtücher in dem Waschräumen. Nachhaltiger und angenehmer für den Kunden ist immer eine gute Kombination. Am meisten wusste das Planerts aber in der Kernkategorie, dem Essen, zu überzeugen. Isbesondere der Süßkartoffelschaum wird mir noch eine Weile in Erinnerung bleiben. Da stimmte wirklich alles. Der Service konnte mit dem extrem hohen Niveau nicht ganz mithalten, fiel aber auch keineswegs negativ auf. Ich komme in jedem Fall wieder!

The Planerts managed to sweeten a very stressful evening due to the travel. The online booking system also made it possible to reserve a table during a seminar. That should be a given in 2024, but it definitely isn't. The atmosphere is characterized by an industrial charm with a very high ceiling. In my opinion, the concept works well. A little highlight for me were the hand towels in the washroom. More sustainable and more pleasant for the customer is always a good combination. But Planerts was most convincing in the core category, the food. I will remember the sweet potato foam in particular for a while. Everything was really right there. The service couldn't quite keep up with the extremely high level, but was by no means negative. I'll definitely be back!

The food was brilliant. The wines to kneel down on. And anyone who can still serve rare Stählemühle spirits with a smile is in the upper class anyway. The service was very, very accommodating. A jewel in Leipzig. Thank you

The first thing I would like to note is the excellent service. Very nice staff, menu in English and fast service. The waiter, who is also the sommelier, Mika (I could be wrong, but the name sounds something like this), speaks English and has mastery of the subject - this young man puts not only effort and diligence into his work, but also a part of himself. It is clear that he enjoys his work. The assortment is not too wide, but every dish on the menu is sure to be very tasty. In any case, of those that we tried, we liked everything. You can order a set of 3-4-5 dishes plus a glass of wine for each of them for around 60-110 euros. It is better to reserve a table in advance.

The dishes here are really delicious, and we particularly liked the touch of Asian ingredients in some of the dishes. The dumplings with kimchi were an excellent taste experience and the staff were very nice.

We were guests at Planert yesterday and ordered the 5-course menu with wine accompaniment. We were thrilled from the first minute. The very young team surprised us with its enormous expertise and confidence. We will always remember Vanessa, who made the already perfect evening even more perfect with her charm. The dishes are very tasty and the wine selection is fantastic. The service is very good. After the 3-course meal we were very full. The only drawback was the space in the window. You felt like you were watching something.

Was für eine Perle! Das Essen ist fein abgestimmt und abgeschmeckt, wohl durchdacht, spannend kombiniert (z. B. Seeteufel mit Sauerbratenlasagne, ich mein, hallo?) und auch der Service ist erste Sahne. Ein absolutes kulinarisches Highlight in jeder Hinsicht.

Sehr schönes und modernes Ambiente. Netter und sehr zuvorkommender Service. Tolle Karte, bewusst sehr klein und abwechslungsreich. Wir haben uns für ein Viergang-Menü mit Weinbegleitung entschieden. Die Gänge waren sehr lecker, die Portionen großzügig und die Getränkebegleitung passend und abwechslungsreich. Toll ist, dass man ohne Einschränkungen die Gänge aus der Karte auswählen kann. Alles in allem ein toller, ungezwungene Abend. Preis-Genuss-Verhältnis sehr gut.

Very nice place… must visit in Leipzig

We have been lucky that we visited this place during one of the “off-day” as one of the owner expalined cause usually they are full booked. Meal was absolutely amazing, all details and components were matching together . From my side - beef tartar was the best ! We liked a lot “open kitchen” concept where we could saw everything regarding meal preparation to communication between both chefs. Desing of the place was simple and really nice. Staff was very friendly and super cool despite that our 2,5 year old son was a little bit louder :) At the end we found out that one of the waiter is co-owner of this place so we had nice chat. We are definitely comming back one day !!

I’m not giving 5 stars for the food is because their beef tartare is way too salty. I went there twice. The menu were the same even if it’s a year a part between my visits. The beef tartare is the same too salty. The service is very good. The price is almost at Michelin’s level.

Beautiful restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. I struggle to find anything to complain about. If you happen to be in the region and you like to dine fine it's a must! I ate the tatar and the porc-duroc and I recommend both!
