We went for a late lunch yesterday and ordered two pizza and drinks. Food was very good, service was very good as well. We will come back.

They took such good care of us. A great restaurant.

Overall it's not even bad but while I was eating a plate of gnocchi I almost broke my tooth on a piece of shell from some seafood that ended up there somehow, in my opinion a gross and dangerous mistake!

We arrived at the pizzeria and wanted to sit down at a table. The café was almost full, but we saw a free table that wasn't set yet. We went up to it, and the waiter, rather rudely, told us to wait because he had to check whether the table was reserved. We waited, but he came up to us. I went up to the waiter and asked if we could sit down, to which he replied, annoyed, "Yes, we could." Luckily, we were then served by another waiter who was much friendlier and more polite. We ordered pizza, but it was dry and not tasty. At the end, we asked for the bill, but it couldn't be issued because the system wasn't working. Instead, they just showed us some kind of written "order" without any detailed billing information. Also, the bathroom only had cold water for washing hands, which was also odd. One star deducted for the inedible pizza, one star deducted for the poor service and the billing issues. Despite the pizzeria's good reviews, we definitely won't be returning.

We visited the restaurant on two days. The quality of the food was good. Although the pizza was less flavorful and had some burnt spots than the pasta. The red wine was okay. The service was friendly, but it faltered when the restaurant was full, and we remember Italian hospitality differently. You'll be full, and there's little you can do to change the drinks, so we can recommend it under the conditions mentioned.

We arrived on this beautiful island on Saturday and wanted to stop at La Fontana. Unfortunately, everything was fully booked. A good sign for my mother and me, so we tried our luck again today and were rewarded with delicious food. Huge portions, absolutely fair prices. Unfortunately, we were too hungry and forgot to take pictures. You definitely have to try the Frutti di Mare. The service was very friendly, exemplary, and accommodating. Benjamin fulfilled our every wish with his warm manner. Thanks again for such professionalism! As a guest, you almost feel at home.

Excellent pizza, highly digestible. I'd perhaps pay a little more attention to the cooking, as it could dry out too much. The staff is friendly and helpful, the service is quick, and the place is well-designed. The only thing I'd like to point out is the price of water. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, but the high cost of water is a common occurrence in places outside of Italy. My compliments once again to the owners for the location and the quality of the cuisine.

We stopped for lunch while visiting Lindau and had a great experience. We were seated right away at a lovely outdoor table. ​Our waiter was very kind and cheerful, even with the language barrier. We all ordered pizza, which was delicious—thin and well-cooked. The prices were average for the area. Very recommended.

Unfortunately, we discovered that the kitchen was already closed when we arrived at 10:05 PM – despite the opening hours posted both on the door and on Google. This was disappointing, as we had been looking forward to a visit.

We were in Lindau, as we had been throughout our entire vacation, looking for something to eat after 8:00 PM. Since the sidewalks in Lindau are apparently rolled up at 9:00 PM, We were greeted warmly and got food at 8:45 PM. The food was good (pizza & salad) and reasonably priced. It's a nice place to sit, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. We liked it and enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

No, my wife ordered a fish platter today. For €29.90 with salmon, scampi, and salad. What arrived was an unadorned plate, no salmon, no side salad, no dressing. They didn't even provide oil and vinegar. Never again for that price.

Italian restaurant on the island of Lindau – located a few meters from the pedestrian zone in a quiet square. Tables are available inside and outside. Reservations are not required outside. The menu has everything you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. The pizza is large and delicious. Prices are reasonable and reasonable. The tiramisu is delicious and fresh. We had to wait a bit on this Saturday evening...which isn't necessarily a problem. The place was full, which is understandable. We can recommend this restaurant.

The almost 5-star rating is completely incomprehensible. The food is pretty bad. The lasagna was swimming in oil (almost more oil than lasagna), but it still had no flavor, so it was extremely bland (however you manage that). The same fate befell the pasta – bathing season in oil. The staff was friendly, but still not recommended.

I had a great time; the pizza was as good as the ones made in Italy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Since we don't speak German, we used English, which the staff had no problem understanding. Furthermore, the staff also speaks Italian, which we had no problem using to pay the bill.

Delicious pizza, friendly service – highly recommended! We were cycling and stopped at this pizzeria for a break – and it was the perfect decision! We had two vegetarian pizzas: one with spinach and Gorgonzola, the other with fresh vegetables, and a large mixed salad. Everything was freshly prepared, the pizza was nice and thin, crispy, and simply delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The Prosecco wasn't really cold, the pizza was large and delicious, the pasta wasn't particularly seasoned, and the sauce wasn't my taste, but that's something to be debated. We wanted to eat dinner on my birthday—the stained tablecloths alone should have made us leave. But we were fooled by the reviews here, and the location is quite nice. Spaghetti aglio e olio is probably the simplest Italian dish there is. That it's possible to absolutely not get even this one right is just a shame. It essentially consisted of perfectly cooked spaghetti, a few pale, tasteless pieces of tomato, the necessary—but unfortunately completely tasteless—garlic, probably chili powder, and olive oil. And lots of it. Basically, it was a piping hot olive oil soup with a spicy, otherwise completely tasteless garnish. Ps. The pizza was okay—but nothing more. Ps. I was offered the opportunity to make the same dish again—I'm just wondering why? An espresso or grappa was also offered—which is nice, but it doesn't solve the real problem, and it would have been appropriate to remove this dish from the bill. I don't know why I'm taking so much time on my birthday to write such a page-long review, but I was simply incredibly disappointed in you.

Very tasty food with nice ambience and friendly staff

Food was okay. But pizza didn't taste Italian. Pasta was okay. Coke was with no fizz. Service was not initially good. The only lady was so nice though. The whole vibe was not so welcoming. We wanted to finish eating and leave.

We ate outside the restaurant and had tortellini and penne al forno. The tortellini portion was a bit small but very good. The penne was also very good.

Unfortunately, it was very disappointing... we had chosen dishes that were not available after all, but we were only told about this later. The newly selected dishes were also not available, which made us feel a bit ripped off. If we had been told this before we chose, it wouldn't have been a problem, but this was a bit cheeky. Then the salad (not a starter) was just a bit of rocket with tomato and mozzarella, which was really meager. Then a carpacio as a starter was simply forgotten. The rest of the meal was okay, but nothing more. Unfortunately, there wasn't even a small gift or a discount as an apology.

We got a table outside at around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon when the weather was great. We were told by the waiter that it was busy and that we could only order pizza 🍕... given the fact that the restaurant closes at 2.30 p.m., that was fine with us. Other guests weren't exactly sent away in a friendly manner after 2 p.m....or recommended another restaurant...hmm... Our pizzas were very tasty, came very quickly and the price was right too.

Went to this restaurant for dinner on May 4th, 2025. We were warmly welcomed and allowed to choose a nice table. After a quick look at the menu, we ordered two pizzas (wood-fired oven) and a salad. I had a Margherita pizza made by Mohammed, and it was absolutely delicious—warm, fresh, and just what I needed to shake off the cold. The rest of the staff were just as impressive—kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Their warmth created such a cozy atmosphere that made my dining experience even more enjoyable.

Food was good. But unfortunately not the day after. I think it was the mussels.

The food tastes really homemade and was delicious, but the wait for two pasta dishes was extremely long—over 40 minutes. When I asked why it was taking so long, the waiter said that pizza takes less time to prepare. That explanation didn’t really make sense, especially since customers who arrived after us received their pasta dishes before we did.

It was actually good but the base of the Prosciutto pizza was thick and soggy. With the Penne Amatriciana there was suddenly a small piece of spaghetti. The Penne Monte Rose was an indefinably hard piece. Everything about the pizza bread was good and as it should be. In the tomato mozzarella salad, a piece of tomato was still green and unripe, otherwise it was good. Everything about the tomato onion salad was very good. Both salads came after the main course. The waiter apologized for that. At the end there was grappa on the house. Everything together was so, well, good. 😐

We went to the counter in the restaurant to ask for a table. We weren't greeted, a waitress then stormed out of the kitchen and almost ran over us without even looking at us. After several minutes a waiter came and made us wait at the counter. We were then seated and when after 15 minutes there was still no service, we didn't even have a menu, we left again and had a wonderful evening at another Italian restaurant. It was noticeable that the staff were not restaurateurs. No recommendation.

Appalling!! I have gone to dinner and they have treated us with bad manners. Pressing because the kitchen was supposedly closing, which was still working when we left, it was impossible not to notice the difference in treatment towards us (Spain) with the rest. The food is nothing exceptional. The pasta looked like it was microwaved. It was a mistake to have entered that restaurant and I wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone. There are better options for sure! I put a star because there is no option of 0.

Were on vacation in Lindau and were looking forward to the pizza. That day there was only pizza, no salad etc. which seemed strange to us, but the greeting was friendly at first then my pizza arrived, the edge was completely burnt and there should have been parmesan shavings on the pizza.. there was EMMENTALER on the pizza.. upon request The waiter (he then looked at the menu but didn't give it to me) said no no, that's parmesan in strips. I eat a pizza with rocket, parma ham and parmesan in every pizzeria... I can't be kidding myself! Unfortunately not recommended.

Very family friendly and great atmosphere. Pizza very good, thin dough, and the tomato sauce is really to die for. I can only recommend bruschetta, I haven't had such good bruschetta in a long time. Very bad service. Refused to set to tables outside, said they will not serve and inside restaurant very cold. Napkins and forks for 4 person although we were 8 persons, we asked twice. Pizza didn't cut to slices.never will come back. Not recommended.

Definitely the first and last visit to this restaurant. We were there as a family and ordered spagetti carabonara. We got spaghetti with egg and a little cream. That wasn't even close to what we ordered and were fobbed off with that being the German version. We let the food go back. Of course we were allowed to pay the bill in full and no alternative was even offered or proper carabonara was brought to us. This is what Italians complain about? We've rarely been so fooled. You'll definitely never see us here again.

Leider war das Essen wirklich miserabel! Die bestellten Vorspeisen für 12,90€ sahen aus wie Supermarkt Fertigware und schmeckten alt und ranzig. Der Spinat und die Meeresfrüchte auf den Pizzen waren teilweise nicht richtig aufgetaut,was die Pizza extrem wässrig machte. Und dann für 14,90€ auch noch ziemlich teuer. Der Service war nicht sonderlich umsichtig oder freundlich. Man sitzt auf unbequemen Plastikstühlen. Dafür ist das Ambiente auf dem Platz vor dem Brunnen wirklich ganz schön. Nur macht es das grauenvolle Abendessen auch nicht besser! Ich wundere mich sehr über die teils positiven Bewertungen!

Unfortunately the food was really bad! The starters we ordered for €12.90 looked like supermarket ready-made products and tasted old and rancid. Some of the spinach and seafood on the pizzas were not properly thawed, which made the pizza extremely watery. And at €14.90 it’s also pretty expensive. The service wasn't particularly attentive or friendly. You sit on uncomfortable plastic chairs. The atmosphere in the square in front of the fountain is really nice. But it doesn't make the horrible dinner any better! I'm very surprised at the partly positive reviews!

The spaghetti carbonara wasn't good, pizza wasn't cut, which would be ok if the knives were also sharp enough, which wasn't the case. Service is poor, only two waiters for the full terrace. So I expected much better quality and taste of the food from the Italians. Nothing to recommend. The view of Lindau old town was nice :)

A real insider tip on the island of Lindau! The small pizzeria impressed us with its cozy atmosphere and absolutely delicious pizzas. The dough is perfectly crispy, the ingredients are fresh and tasty. Added to this is the friendly service that made us feel really welcome. We will definitely come back – absolutely recommended!

The antipasti plate comes out of the canning jar and tastes accordingly. The pizzas taste bland because they are watery (from defrosting?). Unfortunately no recommendation.
