I've been there several times and the food was always good, but the service was always rude and you didn't really feel welcome.

The first visit was okay. On the second visit the restaurant was closed, they didn't want to serve us in the ice cream parlor because it would take too long. We should find a place outside. Everything outside was occupied except for a table for two. But I didn't want to sit outside and there were 3 of us. But the best line from the waiter was, “Madame outside is better, believe me.” We will not enter this restaurant again.

We went to da Capo for lunch with a group (18 people). The staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the pizzas and all the pasta dishes we ordered. Despite the restaurant being completely full, everything went very quickly and smoothly.

When we ordered (because we already knew what everyone wanted to eat and drink) we were snorted in annoyance and told that we should order drinks first and then everything else. Okey.. I got the wrong pizza (yes my God, mistakes happen, I typed it wrong) ok, I had to wait another 20 minutes even though everyone else had already finished eating. You sat there and... Feeling like you're not welcome. Then the boss came (he and my girlfriend had known each other before) and wanted to know if everything was okay and if everything tasted good. To be honest, she didn't like the food. He was so nice and wanted to order something new for you or cancel the meal straight away. Afterwards the waiter comes and complains to all of us that we didn't clarify everything with him but with the boss. Yes, we're sorry that it wasn't YOU as "good waiters" who asked us whether everything tasted good, yes, we're also sorry that we were there and just wanted to have a nice evening!!! So impossible, unfriendly!!!! Pizza is excellent, boss is great!

Bad food, and waiter no better!!! My worst experience in an Italian restaurant… RUNRRRR!

If I could give 0 stars for the service, I would have. Waiter IGNORES us (!!!) several times and lectures us on morality.

Were in transit from vacation last night at DaCapo. Pizza was good, there was even penne al forno gluten-free for our daughter. The chef was very helpful and knew about celiac disease. Gladly again

Yesterday we spontaneously went to the pizzeria for dinner. We (3 people) got a seat without any problems and the service was there relatively quickly and friendly too! The food was on the table surprisingly quickly, we were happy with the taste of the pizza, but it was very greasy! The lasagna was ok at best but the salad was very bad for an Italian! "Insalata Della Casa" with salami, ham, tuna and egg, no possibility to choose the dressing (well at least we weren't asked) and the salami as well as the ham were slices from a supermarket pack! Shameful for an Italian to have so little interest in his dishes! The price was still okay, but I would prefer a different pizzeria next time!

I would like to give the chef 5 stars. We had 2 different pizzas and 2 different pastas, the food was on the table within 5 minutes and everything tasted really good. BUT the waiters get 0 stars from me! I have never experienced such unfriendly waiters. You sit down at a table and are ignored. You wait forever until you get the menu, even though there's hardly anything going on. We asked a waiter for vinegar and oil and he replied "This is not my sector". You have the feeling that you are not welcome. The atmosphere was also constantly tense because almost all the tables around us had the same problem and someone was constantly arguing with the waiters, who then gossiped about the guests among themselves in Italian. It's a shame about the good food. Unfortunately, the waiters have chosen the wrong profession. I rarely have the heart not to tip. But here I had to jump over my shadow...

We had the apple strudel, delicious, drank wine and tea in peace in the pedestrian area. The perfect stop after a walk.

We almost wanted to leave because the staff was so unfriendly. In retrospect, we stayed and now regret it. The man who took our order kept sighing. We ourselves are not German, but we tried to speak German out of politeness. The man didn't seem to like that. He also turned people away because it was “too crowded.” With a little thought, he could have easily created a few more spots. For us it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and never again.

Very unfriendly staff. As a welcome, the menus were thrown on the table. The waiter didn't respond to a "hello". We got up straight away and won't be visiting the restaurant again.

Unfortunately the worst calzone I've ever eaten. Too much bread, little content and too “crunchy” (burnt) in many places. Unfortunately, service was also slow, as salt and pepper were only brought after repeated requests.

The pizza is very good, the ice cream is also good, the service is good.

Great food, piccolo antipasta, proscitto de parma, pizzas were also just good! Despite being busy, service was still good. Compliments for the service, experience at our table in any case.

We were very happy, I took the salad with beef and chanterelles, my mother had spaghetti vongole. The food was delicious, the service was good and everything went pretty quickly. Gladly again!

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews, but this one is a MUST. Avoid this ice cream shop at all costs. I have never encountered anything as cheeky, unfriendly, brazen and disrespectful as this staff in my life. To be ashamed. I'm still absolutely stunned. Stay away!

Ate sooooo delicious pasta dishes. I was worried that the bad reviews would come true. But the opposite happened. Starting with the extremely nice Romanian waiter. I had spaghetti vongole and shrimp in white wine sauce. My husband tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Both incredibly tasty and a lot. The pizzas also looked very good. Thank you for these great meals.

We went for a snack in the guest garden. The ice cream tasted a bit slow, but otherwise everything was okay. Well-maintained toilets. 👍

In the tiramisu I ordered a hair, spaghetti ice cream without cream, but we received a stale, half-melted one from a previous wrong order, with cream of course. The waiter then poured the ice cream half over the child's head. It may not have been a good day for him, but unfortunately it was reason enough not to go there again.

Food very good and reasonably priced too. Very nice to sit outside in summer. However, the service is a matter of luck; you either get a friendly service or a very annoyed one.

Absolutely terrible! Why can't I give 0 points? 3 posts appointed; 2 came. The third one doesn't. Not even after repeated requests. Then we wanted to pay and leave... Nobody responded to our request... Went to the counter to pay. No, just the waiters outside! Eventually later. But invoice with 3 items!!! New discussion until the “good” ending. Never again!!!

The meal was good. Nothing special it is just okay. Our service was not very kind with us and we waited more than an hour for our meal. We waited 15 minutes also after our order to our drinks!! 15 minutes just for the drinks. We saw him to speak with others instead of to bring us our drinks.. The service wanted tip. We did not give him because of the lot of waiting and his behaviour. He grimaced and didn't even say goodbye to us and we didn't even get the receipt. We will not come back.

We spontaneously got a free table there on Monday evening. As soon as we sat down, the waiter made it clear to us that they didn't have time, were stressed and that we should wait. After asking twice and waiting 30 minutes, the waiter came to take the order. The food came quickly, although not at the same time. My salad had extremely little salad dressing. When I wanted to order an additional one and was about to ask a waiter who was passing by, he reprimanded me abruptly and very unfriendlyly, saying he had absolutely no time to take any of my orders, I would just see how things work here. I was stunned! We then answered him back just as briskly that this way doesn't work at all! A neighbor at the table then gave me her vinegar, oil and salt in a reassuring manner. The salad dressing didn't come! The waiter loudly asked which of the colleagues was serving table 118 and cursed in Italian. Another waiter asked us to complain to the boss about this behavior. This waiter is always so unfriendly to the guests. I was so loaded that we just paid (our waiter came to us and said he had no problem with table 118) and will definitely not visit this restaurant again!!! There are other restaurants that are happy to welcome guests. A tip to the boss: if the employees are so annoyed because of too many customers, then you should perhaps reduce the number of tables or separate yourself from such employees, because it can also be done in a friendly manner. At least that's not how it works!

The waitress was rude and impolite. We just left the cafe restaurant, the amount was 9.60 euros. I was told that this amount, because it is less than 10 euros, cannot be paid by card. Ok, but after paying in cash, when I waited for the rest, and turned around behind me, she commented cazzo with an accompanying comment. The most important thing to start with: pizza and pasta dishes have always tasted good. Even if sauces are apparently not always freshly prepared. The service is mixed. We had reserved, but the waitress didn't know anything about it and asked us if we had reserved and when I said "yes", she assigned us a table that was covered with paper napkins without checking our table request. It makes you wonder what the difference would be if I had said “no.” Our order came relatively quickly and the main course was tasty. But the kill was the obligatory tiramisu. What is actually the calling card of an Italian is here stretched with cream. Sorry, but just no. No one asked if everything was OK. The service lady was on the way with others and couldn't be reached without a hand signal anyway because of the noise. Unfortunately the atmosphere is not very romantic. The location is packed with tables. You sit close together and the background noise is extremely loud. So loud that my companion with a hearing aid had to cover his ears at times and it was almost impossible to have a conversation. It is in the heart of Lindau and completely designed for tourists. Unfortunately, you notice this very clearly in the ambience, service and sometimes in the food with ready-made ingredients. It's OK to eat there alone, but I wouldn't invite anyone there anymore because it's too loud and too crowded.

Italian restaurant in a good location in Lindau. The ice cream and apple strudel are good. Nice ambience in the back area. Unfortunately, the shortage of skilled workers is also noticeable here and the lady in service is very unfriendly and becomes rude if she doesn't like the tip. You wait around 10-15 minutes to order and pay (the restaurant was half full). The atmosphere between the service employees is very bad. If you sit near the counter/cash register, you can hear all the “differences”. Unfortunately it doesn't seem very professional.

Inflexibility has a name: Since Capo di Dame takes the orders. When asked whether a frappe can also be made with banana and strawberry - no. Whether they do this with fresh fruit - yes. Whether I have to order a small strawberry and a small banana and then a large glass to mix - shrug my shoulders - is fine! We don't mix here😳 ok then we have 4 mixers - one for each type of fruit🤔😂 and in this lousy season I'm just saying pride comes before a fall, sorry, I hope that wasn't the boss of the beautiful restaurant, good atmosphere, Ice cream is good but that doesn't work.

We were at DaCapo yesterday. The weather was finally wonderfully sunny again and we could sit outside. Even though it was really busy, the food came super quickly. I ordered risotto and my girlfriend the tagliatelle. We were both super happy with our choice, it was simply delicious! We will definitely come back.

Allergens are generously listed on the menu - although when questioned, the (very friendly) waitress had to admit that these were not correct. After I was finally able to find a dish without dairy ingredients, it was brought to the table covered in parmesan (milk!). Very dangerous for people with milk allergies.

Nice atmosphere. You can sit nice and relaxed. The pizza was delicious, but unfortunately only 4 stars because the Diavolo would have expected it to be spicier. Personally, pepperoni was too mild.

Wanted to make a reservation today for 26 people for Monday next week. 1st call today at 11:40; Answer: We are very busy, we cannot accept reservations now. Call at 5:00 p.m. 2nd call at 5:20 p.m.; again with the request to be able to reserve for 26 people. Answer: we have few staff, please call tomorrow at 12 p.m. (sic!), the boss will be there. My solution: Chose another pizzeria in Lindau where you are welcome and can make a reservation. If you don't want to entertain 26 guests, then not. To the boss: Talk to that telephone operator who makes you feel unwelcome. Professionally is different.

A disaster with the service. If you say something, you will be rudely attacked and blamed on the boss. I have never experienced something like that. The food was too salty.

Very dedicated service. Pizza is decent, without being particularly good. Gnocchi different than expected (cream was not listed in the menu) Spaghetti Carbonara is “refined” with cream.

It was wonderful! 100/5 stars!!! A really nice waiter, the best pasta of our lives <3 and a pizza that couldn't have been better. But the wine list also leaves nothing to be desired!! Definitely a recommendation to go here ♥️ you won't regret it🌺

Service quick and friendly. Apple strudel was delicious. Good prices for Lake Constance. Nice to sit outside. Not handicapped accessible.Toilets clean. Somehow I had the unpleasant feeling that after eating I should quickly make room for new guests.

Lots of guest space inside and outside, in the pedestrian zone of Lindau, several levels for the staff and the kitchen without an elevator on the first floor. They get the best out of what is technically possible. Unfortunately you are not served here, sat for 50 minutes with 2 hungry children, no one even takes an order. However, there was enough time to argue with my colleague. We went.

Eight of us ate ice cream here. It was tasty, but brought to the table partly melted. Good selection of ice cream sundaes. From chocolate cups to fruit cups to walnut cups, everything is included. Unfortunately, some of the pizza ice cream (advertised with fresh fruit) contained canned fruit. With a walker it was possible (despite the low steps) to get to the restaurant, although not effortlessly.

When we asked which types of ice cream were gluten-free, the “friendly” employee looked at us and recommended that we just move on. We would like to say thank you very much for the “friendly” treatment. We're terribly sorry for asking the question, but unfortunately our child has celiac disease, which is why we had to be so annoying. But we certainly won't be appearing here again in the future...

The waitstaff was exceptional at a time of day that was really crazy. Well organized, friendly, reasonably priced. The pizza was delicious but the staff was better. The salads looked amazing.

Absolutely unfriendly staff. I wanted to make the coffee myself to help the waiter. Was yelled at by the waiter. We're not at McDonald's here. Keller ran past us 6 times before without reacting to us. Absolutely not recommended place. Then they left. 🤮

Great mixed café...everyone welcome

First of all: Yes, it was a beautiful, sunny day and the café was packed. Unfortunately, it was very crowded and the service staff were so busy that you had to wait quite a long time. They also seemed stressed. The number of employees didn't seem to match the space available for guests. It's a shame, because the iced coffee itself tasted good.

Very unprofessional. Aggressive server. Establishment to avoid (unless you want to be treated like trash). The waiter in charge of our island had an execrable attitude: menus thrown on the table, hot dishes served well before the cold dishes (salads). The apotheosis was when it was time to pay. We ask for the bill politely. This same server simply returns the device to us, without even letting us see the amount. As soon as the payment is accepted, it leaves immediately without goodbye, without even giving me time to ask for the receipt. I catch up with him by asking (always politely) for the receipt, the waiter immediately loses his temper. I truly felt attacked even though I took care to phrase my request politely. This is clearly not an attitude to adopt with your customers. It's a shame because we noticed that not all the staff behaved this way but this one employee ruined our entire experience in this place. And even having a bad day at work doesn't justify being so aggressive for free! In short, run away.

An Italian cafeteria, restaurant and ice cream parlor, unfortunately the flavors have little in common with Italy. The ice cream tasted like the cheapest product from the supermarket, the sandwiches were very "ordinary", nothing crazy, the coffee was simply disgusting. The service was ok, but two waitresses were not enough for an almost full restaurant.

We were there on a public holiday when the weather was good and got a table for two without a reservation. The restaurant was very well attended. The waiter came quickly to take our order. We had pizza and spaghetti and bruschetta and carpaccio as starters. The food was very good and the portions were relatively large. Price performance fits. We stop here every time we visit Lindau. Clear recommendation.

Very good restaurant with friendly service. The food tastes good, but could be spicier and less bland. However, the tiramisu is absolutely outstanding, I think it's the best in Lindau!

The service was good until the moment of payment. Because our first card was refused, the attendant changed her expression and started to murmur, after paying with the second card, she simply turned her back and didn't even say thank you.

We have rarely eaten so badly. I often ate at Da Capo. Unfortunately the last time.
