Great mixed café...everyone welcome

We were there with a larger group. Top service and the ravioli with truffles were a dream – absolutely recommended! Thank you... We'll definitely be back in the summer.

Gnocchi were okay (very soft, little sauce) but they added more on request. Lasagna (despite asking extra before ordering) without bechamel and very little meat. Waiter was an absolute disaster. No hello, no eye contact, when we ask you a question - speak German! ....We ended up leaving the restaurant in a bad mood :( Extremely bad service with food that is okay -> we cannot recommend it. Soda lemon 0.4= soda with a slice of lemon for €4.20😅

The waiter was totally unfriendly, just put the cards on the table without saying hello or anything. I asked if there was béchamel sauce in the lasagna and the only answer I got was “yeah sure, what else?” So I ordered a lasagne and what was not in it was bechamel sauce. It was lasagna noodles with tomato sauce and after each layer of noodles there was cheese. This turned the whole thing into one big lump of cheese. I sent the food back and didn't have to pay for it.

Very tasty bruschetta and fresh tagliatelle. Nice service and the ambience is good too. Definitely recommended!

We are a group of Italians traveling and we can say that the food respects our tradition and the flavors are very good. The service is quality as they were fast and kind.

The service was semi-friendly and a bit hectic. The restaurant was quite full and probably too few staff, so we understand it. Unfortunately, the food was only average. The pizza might be better. For the price of salad we expected a little more. Ravioli were still a little too hard and not that special but not bad.

Unfortunately we were not satisfied with our visit to this restaurant. On the one hand, we had to wait a good 20 minutes for our first order, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. Then the waitress couldn't differentiate between the starter and the main course. The “pasta carbonara” we ordered was cold, so they went back. The second delivery of “pasta carbonara”, i.e. the warmed up food, suddenly looked completely different. Dark sauce and parmesan cheese on top and again only lukewarm. We had to send the food back. The dough on the pizza we ordered was not crispy but wobbly. It cannot be said that quality and good food is prepared in this restaurant. 2 out of 4 guests in our group had stomach pains after visiting the restaurant. The staff, i.e. our waitress, didn't do more than just do their job. Fun at work and the “Italian joy of life” were completely missing here. After our visit to the restaurant, we regretted not going somewhere else.

Food quite passable, service OK. What's not possible is the mess in the toilets, which urgently needs to be looked at more when there are crowds of visitors.

well, rather below average, the food is not convincing, the ambience is actually quite stylish. But if the food isn't right, even the nice furnishings won't help.

The food is average but the Service is terrible they are disrespectful with people. - Waiters “roll their eyes” to you when you are ordering - Other waiter pushed my mom to make her move, instead saying excuse me. - Other guy working at the bar started to shout my parents when they were closing their jackets to go out, they are senior adults and take some time, I think they should show some respect. - The manager talks to you like he is making you a favor to go inside their restaurant quite self paid and bitchy. - The timings are wrongly updated in google they close earlier than is said. There are many other places with great service and kind people in Lindau don’t go here.

Very good food, good service, ambience needs improvement!

Absolutely unfriendly service!!!! Pizzas were ok. It's a shame that the service couldn't keep up with the quality of the cuisine! In addition, the actual pizzaria area was closed at lunchtime, so we had to eat in the cafe. It was very cold and uncomfortable there!

I am a frequent guest at any time of the year and am always satisfied...kitchen and service very good...price performance is right, in summer when there is a lot of activity there are sometimes waiting times, but the service remains friendly and attentive.

they didn't charge me for almost 10 minutes, also there is a lot of disorganization. the payment machines didn't work well. we asked to pay at 4.58pm and were only able to leave at 5.30pm due to the problem with their machines.

Weekends It's always very busy, but you can get a seat and be served. Food is very good.

The worst salad Cabresse consisting of half a tomato, about 5 thin slices, 5 slices of mozzarella including some rocket and 5 slices of baguette about 2 cm in diameter that I have ever had, neither oil nor balsamic vinegar. Afterwards a Pizza Diavolo which was topped with mild pickled peppers and the hot sausage was only spicy in name, so all in all a failure. The whole thing + 2 wheat for €36 is simply beyond words.

We went there twice and had pizza, pasta and salad. We enjoyed it very much both times. Unfortunately we are only here for vacation, otherwise we would love to come many more times. Another little tip. It's even more comfortable on the first floor and you can watch the pizza being prepared.

The worst experience ever. Super unfriendly staff. They have no idea how to work in the restaurant industry.

If you are Italian, you prefer the typical local taverns. I would like to give you a few more stars but I really can't, I want to reward the service, at least they tried to smile, but as regards the quality we are not there.

Just bad. I ordered two pizzas to take away. When I arrived on time, three bored employees were waiting for me, each of them glued to their private cell phones. Afterwards I realized that the pizzas were only lukewarm. Furthermore, the size was about 20% smaller compared to a local pizza. As if that wasn't all, I wanted to pay with a voucher. Two employees then discussed with each other in Italian, although no one seemed to have any idea how to book a voucher. After about 10 minutes of discussion, I was informed that payment with a voucher was not possible because the cashier machine could not do this. I pointed out that there was no such restriction anywhere on the voucher. However, the employees didn't want to know anything about it and stuck to their statement. When the pizzas were already cold, my only option was to pay on site (without a voucher). With only average quality of pizzas and terrible service, I will never visit this shop again. I can only advise against ordering anything here.

Unbelievably rude and poor service, and reacted angrily to no tip. Avoid at all costs.

Would like to have a cappuccino with your coffee. The restaurant was hardly occupied and there were a few free tables at the windows. Asked the waitress if we could sit here. The answer was “no, only larger groups are allowed to sit at the table of four here.” But if you ABSOLUTELY want to, you can just sit down. I went again with my husband. Will not visit this restaurant again.

As Lindau residents, we really enjoy going to our Italian restaurant on a regular basis. The food is very tasty and always beautifully prepared. Service is good and the ambience has a special charm.

Spacious restaurant in the middle of the island. Unfortunately the coffee didn't taste that good. The cakes were OK.

I asked if they had any oat or any other milk alternative. She nearly looked personally offended and then replied: “No! Only normal milk!” 😆 No word of regret or apology. I ordered a black coffee 🤷‍♀️ There wasn’t a SINGLE one the hundreds of ice cream sundaes or cakes I could eat either, as none of them was without dairy or eggs. When I tipped her (was there with my family and kids, all eating sundaes), she didn’t even say thank you. Wow. Not sure what’s wrong with service in Lindau, but there still is a long way to go. It’s still like in 20, 30 years ago. There’s this German saying: Wer nicht mit der Zeit geht, geht.”

We only had a cappuccino there, which was good. However, the table next door advised us not to have dessert and they were very disappointed. You can notice a tense mood among the staff. The guests are chased from table to table and even the regulars were insulted. A total no-go! A very unpleasant atmosphere.

I reserved a table on October 13th, called again on Saturday (October 26th) and asked if we could set the table a day earlier. They said it wasn't a problem. Arrived yesterday and was told in a very unfriendly manner by the waiter that we should come up if we have a reservation. We stood at the top for 5 minutes and waited until we were sent down. There the unfriendly waiter (with a bun) then told us to sit down, but there were reserved signs at all the tables that fit 3 people (where we didn't sit down, of course!). The waiter then complained to us that they were reserved for exactly such cases (which we can't smell). Well, at some point the waiter took our order, but simply ignored my step-grandma (so that I said the order). I think it's pretty cheeky. Then came the food, the carbonara was delicious, but there was far too much pepper in it and the pasta was cold. I would have liked to complain about that, but the waiter didn't come to ask if everything was okay (that happened when we finished eating). We wanted dessert, so we had to wait 15 minutes until the order was taken (which only happened because we asked). I definitely would have imagined and wished my birthday meal to be different!

Despite the restaurant’s ambiance and menu, I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. It’s disheartening to see such behavior in a public space. I hope the management addresses these issues to foster a more inclusive environment for all guests. I would not recommend this restaurant until they take steps to educate their staff about diversity and respect.

Food came quickly and was still very hot

Nicely decorated restaurant. We were greeted friendly. The dining room was very warm, which may have been due to the pizza oven. The pizza is freshly baked in a stone oven and was very tasty. The price was ok, although a bit high.

It's been a few weeks since we visited this restaurant and I'm still thinking about the horror that awaited us there and that has to be saying something. To end our trip to Lindau, we unfortunately took a seat outside in this pizzeria. Have you ever seen service staff almost hitting each other's heads, arguing publicly in front of the guests and attacking your guests as if they were scum? Then you have come to the right place!!!! I would even donate a poster to put up that says “Please don’t eat here.” Thanks, but this was the last time we were there, please go somewhere else.

Very bad service, average food, we had to wait 40 minutes until someone noticed us, waiter not friendly

Since the weather wasn't kind to us in Lindau, we spontaneously went to this café. Many others had the idea too. We were lucky that we got a table in the already well-filled restaurant. Due to the crowd it was correspondingly loud. Our waiter was quick and very friendly despite being stressful. Here I had the best tiramisu I have ever eaten. Please make your own impression. We thought it was great...

I can only say if someone reads the reviews BEFORE ordering (which unfortunately we didn't)... PLEASE go to ANOTHER RESTAURANT!!!! One star is too many - service is underground - unfriendly, annoyed, arrogant, cheeky!!! Tourist rip-off!!! This restaurant can only survive because it is in Lindau and on the pedestrian zone!! Otherwise no one would eat here anymore - I'm 100% sure of that!! How the guest is spoken to and how the service (this word actually sounds too positive) is carried out - I can't find words for it. Unfortunately, it's not worth the effort to write down everything in detail here that happened to us and the other guests / how they were treated, because, as written above, the location takes care of guests. Unfortunately, we didn't follow our first instinct after sitting down and unfortunately we didn't leave and regret it. We would never eat here again. The pizzas were just OK.

Service was disgusting. Pizza was OK, but we waited for it 20 minutes and when they bring it was slightly warm. We ordered 2 pizzas for 3 persons but receive only 2 plates, when asked for third, the waiter rolled his eyes. I ALSO FOUND A SMALL HAIR INSIDE OF MY PIZZA BORDER. After all, we wanted to pay with card and waiter asked 2 times about tips, we said no and he slammed the terminal on table to show he is unhappy. Never again, don’t understand who is still visiting this place

The ice cream parlor is ideally located, right near two of the island's most beautiful buildings. Our service was attentive, the toilets were clean and our apple strudel with ice cream and cream was okay.

I would like to warn about the tiramisu! To put it mildly, it didn't do me any good at all!!!!

When looking for a restaurant in Lindau, we chose this one because the atmosphere looked very inviting. And what can I say... it was the right choice. 👍 Starter, main course and dessert were simply delicious. 👌 The wine recommendation was also perfect! A big thank you to our Italian waiter! The restaurant and the associated ice cream shops are a real tip in Lindau. The dishes are all recommended and also have a great price/performance ratio. I had the best calzone pizza in a long time. The staff is particularly praiseworthy here. Who is always extremely friendly on long days and makes EVERYTHING possible. Highlighted his D’Artagnan, the one with the pigtail/long hair. While the boss is courting the regulars with kisses left and right, he is doing the right work and is not above fulfilling every wish. Such employees are simply indispensable and make it a gastronomic experience.

We went to the dacapo ice cream parlour in Lindau. We wanted to eat a good pizza, as it had been recommended as the best on the island, but when we arrived (there were four of us) a waiter with a ponytail, in such a rude manner, invited us to get up and sent us to eat in the restaurant next door. We asked if we could eat there, but the angry waiter told us that it was only an ice cream parlour and that we had to go to the terrace of the restaurant next door to eat pizza, even though it was full. At that point we got up and left the restaurant. I would not recommend it because of the waiter's dislike

Ok food but terrible service. Were ignored and had to wait 25 minutes to be able to order something to eat. I've been there several times and the food was always good, but the service was always rude and you didn't really feel welcome.

We went to da Capo for lunch with a group (18 people). The staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the pizzas and all the pasta dishes we ordered. Despite the restaurant being completely full, everything went very quickly and smoothly.

The first visit was okay. On the second visit the restaurant was closed, they didn't want to serve us in the ice cream parlor because it would take too long. We should find a place outside. Everything outside was occupied except for a table for two. But I didn't want to sit outside and there were 3 of us. But the best line from the waiter was, “Madame outside is better, believe me.” We will not enter this restaurant again.

When we ordered (because we already knew what everyone wanted to eat and drink) we were snorted in annoyance and told that we should order drinks first and then everything else. Okey.. I got the wrong pizza (yes my God, mistakes happen, I typed it wrong) ok, I had to wait another 20 minutes even though everyone else had already finished eating. You sat there and... Feeling like you're not welcome. Then the boss came (he and my girlfriend had known each other before) and wanted to know if everything was okay and if everything tasted good. To be honest, she didn't like the food. He was so nice and wanted to order something new for you or cancel the meal straight away. Afterwards the waiter comes and complains to all of us that we didn't clarify everything with him but with the boss. Yes, we're sorry that it wasn't YOU as "good waiters" who asked us whether everything tasted good, yes, we're also sorry that we were there and just wanted to have a nice evening!!! So impossible, unfriendly!!!! Pizza is excellent, boss is great!

Were in transit from vacation last night at DaCapo. Pizza was good, there was even penne al forno gluten-free for our daughter. The chef was very helpful and knew about celiac disease. Gladly again

Yesterday we spontaneously went to the pizzeria for dinner. We (3 people) got a seat without any problems and the service was there relatively quickly and friendly too! The food was on the table surprisingly quickly, we were happy with the taste of the pizza, but it was very greasy! The lasagna was ok at best but the salad was very bad for an Italian! "Insalata Della Casa" with salami, ham, tuna and egg, no possibility to choose the dressing (well at least we weren't asked) and the salami as well as the ham were slices from a supermarket pack! Shameful for an Italian to have so little interest in his dishes! The price was still okay, but I would prefer a different pizzeria next time!

I would like to give the chef 5 stars. We had 2 different pizzas and 2 different pastas, the food was on the table within 5 minutes and everything tasted really good. BUT the waiters get 0 stars from me! I have never experienced such unfriendly waiters. You sit down at a table and are ignored. You wait forever until you get the menu, even though there's hardly anything going on. We asked a waiter for vinegar and oil and he replied "This is not my sector". You have the feeling that you are not welcome. The atmosphere was also constantly tense because almost all the tables around us had the same problem and someone was constantly arguing with the waiters, who then gossiped about the guests among themselves in Italian. It's a shame about the good food. Unfortunately, the waiters have chosen the wrong profession. I rarely have the heart not to tip. But here I had to jump over my shadow...

We had the apple strudel, delicious, drank wine and tea in peace in the pedestrian area. The perfect stop after a walk.

We almost wanted to leave because the staff was so unfriendly. In retrospect, we stayed and now regret it. The man who took our order kept sighing. We ourselves are not German, but we tried to speak German out of politeness. The man didn't seem to like that. He also turned people away because it was “too crowded.” With a little thought, he could have easily created a few more spots. For us it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and never again.

Unfortunately the worst calzone I've ever eaten. Too much bread, little content and too “crunchy” (burnt) in many places. Unfortunately, service was also slow, as salt and pepper were only brought after repeated requests.

The pizza is very good, the ice cream is also good, the service is good.

We were very happy, I took the salad with beef and chanterelles, my mother had spaghetti vongole. The food was delicious, the service was good and everything went pretty quickly. Gladly again!

I don't normally take the time to leave reviews, but this one is a MUST. Avoid this ice cream shop at all costs. I have never encountered anything as cheeky, unfriendly, brazen and disrespectful as this staff in my life. To be ashamed. I'm still absolutely stunned. Stay away!

Ate sooooo delicious pasta dishes. I was worried that the bad reviews would come true. But the opposite happened. Starting with the extremely nice Romanian waiter. I had spaghetti vongole and shrimp in white wine sauce. My husband tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Both incredibly tasty and a lot. The pizzas also looked very good. Thank you for these great meals.

We went for a snack in the guest garden. The ice cream tasted a bit slow, but otherwise everything was okay. Well-maintained toilets. 👍

In the tiramisu I ordered a hair, spaghetti ice cream without cream, but we received a stale, half-melted one from a previous wrong order, with cream of course. The waiter then poured the ice cream half over the child's head. It may not have been a good day for him, but unfortunately it was reason enough not to go there again.

Absolutely terrible! Why can't I give 0 points? 3 posts appointed; 2 came. The third one doesn't. Not even after repeated requests. Then we wanted to pay and leave... Nobody responded to our request... Went to the counter to pay. No, just the waiters outside! Eventually later. But invoice with 3 items!!! New discussion until the “good” ending. Never again!!!

The meal was good. Nothing special it is just okay. Our service was not very kind with us and we waited more than an hour for our meal. We waited 15 minutes also after our order to our drinks!! 15 minutes just for the drinks. We saw him to speak with others instead of to bring us our drinks.. The service wanted tip. We did not give him because of the lot of waiting and his behaviour. He grimaced and didn't even say goodbye to us and we didn't even get the receipt. We will not come back.

We spontaneously got a free table there on Monday evening. As soon as we sat down, the waiter made it clear to us that they didn't have time, were stressed and that we should wait. After asking twice and waiting 30 minutes, the waiter came to take the order. The food came quickly, although not at the same time. My salad had extremely little salad dressing. When I wanted to order an additional one and was about to ask a waiter who was passing by, he reprimanded me abruptly and very unfriendlyly, saying he had absolutely no time to take any of my orders, I would just see how things work here. I was stunned! We then answered him back just as briskly that this way doesn't work at all! A neighbor at the table then gave me her vinegar, oil and salt in a reassuring manner. The salad dressing didn't come! The waiter loudly asked which of the colleagues was serving table 118 and cursed in Italian. Another waiter asked us to complain to the boss about this behavior. This waiter is always so unfriendly to the guests. I was so loaded that we just paid (our waiter came to us and said he had no problem with table 118) and will definitely not visit this restaurant again!!! There are other restaurants that are happy to welcome guests. A tip to the boss: if the employees are so annoyed because of too many customers, then you should perhaps reduce the number of tables or separate yourself from such employees, because it can also be done in a friendly manner. At least that's not how it works!
